"This suave bar for grown-ups at the Windsor Court Hotel is one of the best spots in town for music, martinis, and conversation. The Polo Club Lounge feels like a private club, but the welcome mat is out for all. Comfy seating, terrific bartenders, and strong drinks add up to an elegant good time." - Beth D'Addono

The food here was very delicious. John paul was very engaging and attentive. The atmosphere was upscale. Yet lay back. First-time experience at this location. Definitely recommend.

So, the Polo Club. No place quite like it, certainly not in NOLA. It’s a Lounge, not a bar. Don’t forget that. First, you sink into an oh so comfy chair or sofa. Second, cold water and a trio of snacks arrive. House made pork rinds included. On a silver server, WTH? I know. Go with it. You’ll be glad you did. A liquor list a mile long. Hand crafted cocktails. Have an favorite, like a grasshopper. They deliver, with a smile. Bar snacks? Certainly not...the menu goes all the way from caviar to deviled eggs. My favorite. The Charcuterie Board. Beautifully sourced and plated. Need something off menu. Ask, they’ll move heaven and earth. It’s in the Windsor Court, just this side of heaven.

The Polo Club Lounge is a very nice place to enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine in a quiet comfortable setting. Definitely an upper class environment. The service can be slow and a bit indifferent at times, but always polite. Seating is also a bit limited unless you arrive early. Overall worth a visit.

Google
The Polo Club Lounge is such a special place to have a drink in New Orleans. Located inside of the Windsor Court Hotel this establishment oozes class. It reminded me so much of the beloved 21 club in New York. (which is unfortunately still closed for now) We stayed at the Windsor Court Hotel for seven nights and made sure to stop down at the Polo Club Lounge every night we were there. The service was always great, the food is pretty good as well, but the ambiance here is what makes the Polo Club Lounge special.

Google
Lovely space! Amazing service! A special thanks to Taryn who was above and beyond!! Great cocktails. Really enjoyed the cracklins and olives with the cocktails. Always great jazz for a lovely ambiance. Make sure to come here!

Google
Great cocktails! I only come here once a year, it's one of my stops during Christmas. Love the NOLA Christmas vibe

Was here for a media event. Such an excellent venue. The old dude soul band was amazing. I had myself a great time and your team makes a world class Sazerac.

Google
Exceptional setting to enjoy a cocktail, a glass of champagne or wine or a light bite. This is one of well known hidden secrets of great live music entertainment in New Orleans. Polo Club is know for their exceptional service and never disappointing. I always come back and back again.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and calming. Great vibe and perfect place for after a long day. Most importantly, the lounge service and staff were perfect. So gracious and friendly. Highly recommend it!

Yelp
The Polo Club is a hidden gem for those seeking a delightful evening of blues and jazz in a cozy atmosphere. The comfortable seating invites you to relax and enjoy the music, while the option to order from a limited menu adds to the experience. The attentive service ensures you're well taken care of, and the quality of the patrons adds to the upscale yet inviting ambiance. One unique aspect of The Polo Club is its semi-formal dress code, which adds a touch of elegance to the evening. Despite this, the prices remain reasonable, making it accessible for a special night out. Overall, The Polo Club at Windsor Court is a fantastic choice for a romantic evening. The combination of great music, comfortable setting, attentive service, and reasonable prices make it a standout spot for anyone looking to impress a date or simply enjoy a night out in style. Yelp
I was expecting a high end cocktail joint in a more modern sense of the word. Essentially this felt a lot like a stale old club waiting to go out of business. Now - The martini was absolute perfection, I can take nothing away from that. It did take about 20 minutes to get to me so it could have come from anywhere. Beyond that, they have a very capable bar tender and largely incompetent "Cocktail waiters" Such wasted potential.

Gregg H.

Yelp
Nice place with live music at the top of the hotel. Very loungey with couches and big chairs. The service isn't bad and the cocktails are good. They are a little pricey though.

Amy B.

Yelp
Absolutely lavish. We love having cocktails & an afternoon snack at The Polo Club. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed. Service is very friendly, attentive & they'll make wonderful recommendations if you're not quite sure what to order. They even have a few mocktails to choose from if you've had your fill of booze for the moment. We love it here & are so happy it's part of where we enjoy staying, the fabulous Windsor Court.

Nina L.

Yelp
Great service and tasty cocktails. I can't comment on the food, only came in for a drink before heading out for the night. Giving this spot 3 stars because we saw a mouse run across the floor at least 3 times. One of the waitresses even acknowledged that we weren't crazy, yes you saw what you think you saw scurry across the floor. I find it hilarious that folks pay $400+/ night to stay here when mice are likely living in the walls. Our server was very attentive. He made good drink suggestions for our group. I had a French 75, it was tasty. They provide a bowl of mixed nuts, olives and pork skins as little snacks. The decor is lavish, very old school. Lots of photos of rich, white, dead people. It is called the polo club after all.

Marcella N.

Yelp
This isn't it. Cool ambience and fast service, but drinks are terrible. Very sloppy and poorly measured and mixed. We didn't drink much of it and decided to leave. It's in a hotel and unfortunately it's just a place of convenience for guests. No mixology skills or care required to stay in business.

Lisa K.

Yelp
If you are lucky enough to be staying at the Windsor Court, there is no better way to relax after a long day traveling than at the Polo Club. Old clubby atmosphere with a piano player - very elegant but still casual. Just feels like you've entered another time. Cocktails aren't cheap, but they are good. A complimentary trio of snacks arrives went you take a seat. Limited menu but enough to satisfy most tastes.

Tu-Quyen P.

Yelp
Wonderful vibes in this laid back but luxe lounge. Service was five star, the music was low key and fun, the food is awesome and the hotel is just beautiful. Cannot say enough about the amazing band and pianist that performed, and you're treated so well here by the servers. Loved the way every guest of every walk of life was welcomed so warmly. Come here for a light dinner or a drink! I loved the gumbo and the mocktail selection, and the deviled eggs were worth a splurge! The complimentary bar snacks are also great.

David B.

Yelp
Good service. Had a great salad with shrimp. This Lounge has been a favorite spot for many years.

kenneth r.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, bartender said she didn't have the ingredients for a Brandy Crusta. I think she didn't know how to make it. You'd expect better from the Polo Club.

Catherine C.

Yelp
There is always a pianist here. On Friday and Saturday nights, we were also very pleased with the jazz quartet that played. The drinks are good and the cozy lounge set up is a perfect atmosphere that feels a bit like traditional New Orleans. It was wonderful to drop by and enjoy a drink that feels like you're in a cozy living room with relaxing music in the background. There are seating arrangements that work for guests ranging from families to couples and singletons. A little secret, the restaurant next door is very good and there's a seating area close to the jazz lounge so you can order from an more extensive dinner/dessert menu there and still enjoy the music if you sit at the back of that restaurant!!!

Birdie M.

Yelp
The "Polo Club Lounge" is a beautiful, classy, intimate jazz lounge, adorned with opulent chandeliers, artwork, & dark wood paneling throughout, tucked away inside the "Windsor Court Hotel." Loved listening to the very talented jazz musicians, while relaxing on the rich leather furnishings, plush sofas, & chaise lounges. The staff are attentive & exceptional at making sure you're happy & comfortable, & the drinks are excellently crafted. There is a nice variety of delicious menu items, including one of my favorites: caviar. The "Polo Club Lounge" provides a great way to relax & unwind at the end of a nice evening, & is definitely worth a visit.

Davud J.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere with decent drinks; enjoyed jazz but wish they had played longer; service good

Allister D.

Yelp
Polo Club is a great Gentleman's lounge with fine leather seating, comfortable plush sofas, crystal chandeliers, etc. The bar contains expensive alcohol and an expensive cocktail menu that'll range from $15+ The cocktails are much cheaper on the french quarter and everywhere else but hey, this is an experience having fine cocktails at an upscale joint. I ordered my typical old fashioned that was delicious; not too sweet and enough alcohol to do the buzz. This was the very last bar I attended in New Orleans and there isn't any other that can change my mind. It was a nice smooth evening that was intimate and quiet. It was truly relaxing. This is the perfect bar/lounge to get away from the madness and craziness from Bourbon and the other parts of N.O. I recommend coming here with a group of friends for a nice evening of cocktails, sports, and great conversations.

Helen M.

Yelp
Really fancy pantsy!!! There was live music playing as you enter the hotel. Glass elevators led straight up yo the polo lounge. The ambiance was really casual but cutesy casual. A nice get off work from the office and unwind place. Let me tell you guys this before I go any further in this review. WARNING: They do not skip out on the alcohol. The two cocktails I tried was really strong but yet still great. I orders a ginger juelp drink that had whiskey in it and honey I tasted the whiskey before the julep and mint. Now that's my type is drink FOLKS! I also tried the snowball lemonade type of vodka drink and that was once again strong to the vodka taste but yet still good. The ice was of a cone ice/ snoball slushy type of ice and it kept my drink colder longer without making it too watery. I will be back you guys and please take a look at my pic of my cup....

Edwyna B.

Yelp
I'm in love with this lounge!!!!!! Great Jazz, glass of champagne and excellent service....what more could we ask for. If you are ever in NOLA stop by on Fri/Sat 9-11 for live Jazz, you will not be disappointed.

Angie T.

Yelp
The Polo Club Lounge is a sophisticated and classy English style bar in the Winsdsor Court hotel. It feels very masculine with all of the leather chairs and couches and dark wood paneled walls, but I felt quite at home here. I could almost see all of the men retiring to this bar after a polo match drinking glasses of scotch on the rocks. Service here is friendly, not snooty but be sure you're dressed nicely or you'll stick out like a sore thumb. This may sound a little weird but the ladies restroom is to die for gorgeous. Lots of fresh flowers, places to sit and wait for your friends (not the toilets...nice little benches lol) and wonderful smelling candles and upscale toiletries. Might I suggest a Mint Julep? They are fantastic here. And don't forget to check in. The check in offer for the free order of truffle fries is one of the best check in offers EVER.

John L. H.

Yelp
The Polo Club Lounge has nothing to do with the clothing company founded by Ralph Lauren. While that would have been a great reason for the name, it is apparently named after the sport played by the rich and famous. I am neither rich nor famous, but I do like to occasionally behave in a fancy manner. My trip to the Polo Club was one such night. How fancy is this place? Super fancy. The main bar was very crowded and there was a live singer performing when we arrived. We took up residence on the couches and chairs directly outside of the main bar, but I think that is actually the best location. It was a bit more relaxed and somewhat more private than the main bar. Drinks were very well made, and prices were on par with other fancy bars (expensive). Our server was friendly and efficient despite dealing with a large unruly group. I really enjoyed their mint juleps, but the official julep cup gets too cold. If you are looking for a fancy bar, look no further than this place.

Sydney M.

Yelp
This place was amazing! Food was delicious and drinks were strong. I like my drinks a little less strong and more sweet, but honestly it was delicious nonetheless. The gumbo was literally to die for and the vibes in there were amazing. Definitely worth checking out, our server/bartender was AMAZING. Wish we would have gotten his name.

Liliana D.

Yelp
I was expecting the singer will play more jazz but it was more like balad. It seem like they only had two waitresses, so service was ok. The bartender was rude, so that was a buzz kill. Other than that it's a comfortable place to chill.

Sammy B.

Yelp
Fancy shmancy old-timey monay. I swear the carpet was like super plush here. Wish I could've rolled around in it like a dog. Came here during the week so only had some live piano music. Had the London Fog, which was hands-down one of the best liquids I've ever imbibed. Warning, it's a virgin drink. Further warning, lots of paintings of people from 100+ years ago.

Gary L.

Yelp
Old school classy lounge setting. Service was OK. My drink wasn't great and over priced. Charging 16-17 bucks for a drink is way too high for The French Quarter area. If you walk across the street to August restaurant, the perfectly chilled martini would be $11. There are so many other places for a good drink. Pass on this one...

Sylvain B.

Yelp
Just went there for a jazz concert in late evening, following the recommendation of a Uber driver who also happen to be a jazz drummer... Had an amazing "old-fashioned" drink. Perfectly prepared. Their truffle fries were the best I ever had. The music (jazz standards covers) was played by talented jazz musicians. Had a wonderful time. What's more to say?

Sheila R.

Yelp
Located in the beautiful hotel of Windsor Court. Nice, classy place to listen to live music and chat with friends. The servers are attentive and interactive. The free small plate of popcorn and peanuts is a nice touch. They close a little earlier than I like, but the hours are probably good enough for most guests.

Joi B.

Yelp
I'm pretty certain the glorious Polo Club Lounge would take away that incredible check-in offer of free truffle fries if they witnessed Yours Truly gauchely scarfing them down on Friday night as I tried (and failed) to sip a French 75 all ladylike. Not only were they incredibly delicious as truffle fries tend to be, but I was rather hungry. I had taken a pretty vigorous yoga class right beforehand and rather than take the time to eat dinner, I took the time to get all done up for John & Larissa's Fancypants Birthday Bar Crawl. Who wouldn't? From bar one (Swizzle Stick), I seemed hellbent on canceling out all yogerific benefits to my body by drinking 4 champagne cocktails followed with a truffle fry chaser at Polo Club Lounge. Go me! Getting back to the review... the Polo Club Lounge had me worrying that I'd be traveling in a time machine back to 1980s Brett Easton Ellis preppy cocaine horrors. "Oh Blaine, will you fetch me a Sex on the Beach?" Or, at least that I'd be rubbing elbows with the Harvard rowing club (actually, I can't lie, that would be pretty cool). Silly girl. The Polo Club is more old school Fitzgerald Yale Club than anything. And of course they have the classic cocktail menu to go along with the tastefully posh setting. I could spend hours here and probably will again. Trough of truffle fries not necessary (but oh-so-appreciated).

Dania O.

Yelp
Loved this place. It was fancier than I anticipated and the musicians were amazing. I felt like I had gone back in time.

Mary W.

Yelp
I stopped in for a Sangria and something to eat. I avoid the bar scene and was pleased to find that the lounge was quiet and comfortable...but it was also a Monday night. There were snacks on the table...dried fruit (which I didn't care for), popcorn and a great variety of peanuts. The waitress recommended their gumbo, which I thought was awesome. I didn't care for the Sangria but I usually make my own and rarely find good Sangria in a restaurant. I would definitely go back for the gumbo.

Kim-Thao H.

Yelp
Lately, I've been on a mission to find the best bars in lounges in NOLA with amazing wine and cheese plates and the Polo Club Lounge definitely fits the bill in every way! I'm so glad my boyfriend stumbled upon this place and told me about it! First off, it's located on the 2nd floor of the Windsor Court; we all know how fancy schmancy the Windsor is so naturally, there are high hopes for its lounge! My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night around 9:30 and it was fairly crowded. It's a rather small space so I do suggest you to go early if you have a larger group. We sat on the comfortable sofas and ordered a cheese plate, truffle fries (free if you check in on Yelp!), a glass of Riesling, and a French 75. Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time and OH MY GOSH, their cheese plate is "spectacular!" That's exactly what our cocktail waitress said. It included three cheeses and an abundance of dried fruits, pickled beans, prunes, nuts, etc. I've never seen a cheese plate with THAT many complimentary sides and I thoroughly loved it! I loved my glass of Riesling (three different Rieslings are offered and I got the third one), and my boyfriend loved his French 75. I also can attest to how delicious his drink was. The ambiance was wonderful. They offer live jazz on the weekends and I loved the singer's soothing voice. It definitely offered a very cozy and intimate vibe to the entire experience. I can't wait to be back!

Jen L.

Yelp
The Polo Club Lounge is the place to go to feel fancy. The plush furniture, the on point servers, the tasty tasty drinks. I had a delicious shrub that was pretty darn refreshing. And yeah the truffle fries were amazing...and I'm not big on truffle everything. Bonus points to the staff for putting up with our drunken nonsense. And for surprising Larissa with birthday chocolate covered strawberries.

Amy B.

Yelp
The perfect place to retire for a drink after a classy day of hunting big game, supervising your staff of hundreds, or, of course, playing polo. The decor is all rich leather and velvet curtains, yet avoids pretension with friendly service and delicious drinks. Although the Sazerac runs a jaw-dropping $25, other cocktails are reasonably priced at around $12. The staff graciously accommodated our large group on two nights. On the first, we were a raucous crowd immediately post-wedding; the second was a more mellow affair, consisting of quiet conversation. Both times, the staff kept the drinks flowing and the guests comfortable. Although we did not get to hear live jazz, I would like to thank the staff for not ejecting my husband after he attempted to play jazz drums.

Shannon S.

Yelp
This is a really nice upscale bar in the Windsor Court Hotel and I've had many great times and attended some fantastic parties here. This is an old school sophisticated New Orleans establishment where you should dress to impress. They sometimes have music and there is a lot of comfortable seating. This bar draws a good mix of locals and tourists and it definitely is an oasis of civility away from the madness that can overtake the Quarter.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
THE place for a smart cocktail when you want to get away from the nuttiness of the city just outside. Be sure to look the part when go! But I must remember to order the truffle fries on my next visit.

John O.

Yelp
WOW! This place is awesome! It is a very polished bar complete with very comfortable furnishings. The staff is very friendly and a sense of pride is delivered in the drinks they make. The bar area is rather small, maybe enough room for eight patrons, but there is usually plenty of sitting in the sofas and chairs in the lounge area. It is a very nice place to sit, have a drink and have a conversation with a friend. Try the blueberry mojito, delicious. They have a nice menu selection and the prices are decent for this caliber of a hotel bar. I will most definitely make a trip back to this bar when I am in New Orleans again. Why not have a drink where many Anne Rice characters enjoyed some fine cocktails!

Kevin K.

Yelp
I still like this place for the location and respite from Bourbon Street. But it's a little tired and the music wasn't up to what I remember. I'll always walk by to see what's up.

Tiff W.

Yelp
Best described as an old boys club with dark woods and leather club chairs on one half and the other a women's parlor lounge on the other with sofas and chase lounges. If you added some cigars it might look like a scene out of a movie where the women and men are split hanging in their respective places. Drinks and food are a bit pricey but if you're looking for a quiet drink in a cozy place, this might hit the spot. There is also a high tea downstairs that might need a closer look.

Vin Z.

Yelp
Tremendous ambiance. Extensive high end liquids and exceptional wine list (exquisite wine gems available with the coravin). Bill new Somm is tremendous, smart and knowledge of wind inspires me. Simone (bar attendant) was simply lovely, kind and attentive.

Barry T.

Yelp
Great spot. It's not cheap and we called in for some music tonight which was cancelled.:( The barman was helpful and gave us some local tips for dinner and jazz music. Bring your cheque book if you want to eay. They do serve a nice caviar for $Us 450.

Katherine B.

Yelp
Such a nice , elegant place to relax and have drinks. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere . Love the decor and restrooms. Staff is friendly and attentive. Nice jazz music during the week.

Tony W.

Yelp
Don't let the 'polo club' part of Polo Club Lounge discourage you from trying this place. This place feels expensive, but the service is warm and attentive. It's a wonderfully fancy place to grab a drink and an appetizer. The place is adorned with tables, couches and chairs, and seating was plentiful. I came here twice over a four day span, because it was a great place to host for drinks. The two different parties really seemed to enjoy their drinks, and we got a nut mix as an appetizer. We came Thursday and Friday nights, and there was live music both times. Food and drink is pricy, but they do have drink specials for $5 on the menu. Not the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had, but they were pretty darned strong.

Skip H.

Yelp
Has everything one could want in New Orleans as far as a world class lounge is concerned. The wide array of food is delicious and the assortment of top shelf drinks is second to none. If a movie is being filmed in New Orleans the stars are here and the same goes for Jazz Fest. The service is what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel- our bartender, Sandro is a master at his craft and can recommend and then make probably any drink on the planet. There is usually live music and the people who you'll meet here, both staff and guests are part of the attraction. If there was a place above top shelf, this is it so bring your platinum card, you only live once and the Polo Lounge is well worth it.

Brooke B.

Yelp
This is NOT your average hotel bar. I feel so very grown up when I'm here. I'm not actually sure how old it is, but there is definitely a "lost in time" kind of feel here. It's sophisticated without being pretentious. The bartenders can make a mean cocktail; and there is nightly jazz. It's a great place to hang out, have a few drinks and just mellow. I've gotten to see Anais St. John a few times, and she is always wonderful. If you like jazz/blues then I'm sure you will love her. A word of caution, the drinks are not overly expensive, but this is definitely not the place to come if you're looking for $2 drinks. However, they are definitely worth it. One of their bartenders, Roger, is well-known as one of the best bartenders in the world. And I'm not exaggerating. He has actually been covered in magazines. Also, check out the mixology classes. (They may technically be from their restaurant The Grill Room, but they're connected). You get to sample and learn about different drinks. I've done about 5 so far...you know, for learning purposes. :) I will definitely be attending more when they restart this fall. Hmmm... I just realized that I have never had a French 75 here yet. Adding that to my to-do list.

Becka W.

Yelp
Disappointed in the service and atmosphere. We stopped in for a pre-dinner drink and apps. Unimpressive.. Wish we'd picked somewhere else. Not worth the hype.

Louis D.

Yelp
Great place day or night, good bartenders, drinks and food. Beautiful room with entertainment at night. Great place to relax and wind down either at the bar or the seating around the room. A real must

Krista S.

Yelp
The first rule about speakeasies..... You don't talk about the Polo Club Speakeasy! This is the only place I visited twice during my short stay in New Orleans. It is quite the hidden gem. Upon entering the Windsor Court Hotel you'll be distracted by the 1st bar on the lower level, slide past that and up the stairs to the Polo Club where I found the great drinks in a relaxing setting with live Jazz that rivaled Frenchman Street. The 1st night I took a local's suggestion and had a Sidecar tailored to order by Roger, 2nd night was Sazerac. It is well known that the drinks are expensive/fantastic, but the feel of going back in time really separates it from any bar I've been to. Free truffle fries the first night and an amazing selection of bar snacks (dried strawberries, truffled popcorn and mixed nuts) topped off my night enough to make me return with friends.

Kat L.

Yelp
HIGH END jazz lounge. Sorry kiddos this isn't your average jazz lounge for amateur hour. Packed by 11pm with not a seat in sight. The band was whaling, drinks were flowing, and the crowd was older but living it up. It kind of felt like I was having an uptown night out with the parentals, which I never mind, but is definitely not a young man's game. Bring your amex. You're going to need it. +++stars+++ fantastic bathrooms with floor to ceiling stalls, and two little sit down vanity areas in a lounge for the ladies. LOVED IT.

Dre D.

Yelp
What's better than a high priced hotel lounge, complete with a lounge singer(who was amazing btw)? Exactly, a better priced hotel lounge, complete with a lounge singer. Regardless of pricing, good music, and the smell of fresh brewed tea allows you to quasi sober up.

Marielle S.

Yelp
This is a fancy little bar located in the Windsor Court. A friend and I stopped in here to get a drink before heading out to dinner. I really like the nice upscale decor. It feels as if you are in someone's really nice home. They have a whole array of fancy cocktails, but instead of a cocktail, I just decided to get a beer. I really liked that there was a pianist playing "background music" as we chatted on one of the many sofas. I would definitely love to go back here on a date, as I think it would be the perfect spot to start a romantic evening.

M B.

Yelp
The server, receipt says "Jennifer P", charged the incorrect amount. I wrote down the amount for the tip on my copy of the receipt, which approximated 19% (approximate because it was a flat dollar amount). When I looked at my credit card statement the amount charged was higher, at an approximate 23%. Idiocy or theft?

Jules B.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in the city to treat myself to drinks and a small plate. Elegant, timeless and sophisticated atmosphere. It's fancy, but not overtly pretentious. Comfortable seating of sofas and chairs in semi-private sections. The cocktail nut mixture upon arrival is a nice touch, too. Excellent service. Excellent drinks. This place just does it, and does it very well. (Love the smoked salmon plate!)
