Italian Chef Scott Conant Closed His LA Restaurant, The Ponte, on New Years Eve - Eater LA

"Celebrity chef Scott Conant and serial restaurateur Stephane Bombet have closed their Beverly Boulevard restaurant The Ponte after two years. The quiet closure came after one final New Years Eve celebration." - Farley Elliott

What a lovely dinner! Picture perfect! We came in the back way and didn't see the door but when it opened into the courtyard, the whole ambiance changed. The starlit tree and all the outside patio atmosphere were great. The food was even better, we had a variety of things and if you go in a group I recommend doing their tasting menu. All the pastas were excellent and I really loved the steak tartare and focaccia.

Amazing! It's is a rarity to find a restaurant where everything we ordered was on point, DELICIOUS!! The wait staff is also superb! High praises all around.

Nice atmosphere. Great service. Amazing cocktail and pasta. Steak was not as good as what I expected tho. I will definitely go back and have some pasta and cocktail again !!!

Hosted a party of 20+ on their stunning patio a few months back. The staff was incredibly accommodating, the food was amazing and the ambiance can't be beat. They made sure everyone in our group felt special from the littlest kids to those with dietary restrictions. Everyone is still raving about the dinner. It's an absolute must.

Delicious Italian food, fine wine and craft cocktails, and a beautiful outdoor patio that’s perfect for summer evening Al Fresco Dining (it’s one of the best in LA). Wood Roasted Prawns are my favorite appetizer. It’s a perfect two...full of flavor yet light enough to leave room for an entree and dessert. The chef’s signature Pasta Al Pomodoro is amazing! Don’t let the portion size fool you, it’ll fill you up faster than you think. It’s definitely worth every bite! The “rustic-chic” outdoor courtyard is the key ingredient to this restaurant IMO. The large tree and ivy covered walls are accented by string lights and candlelit tabletops. The laid-back, friendly & intimate atmosphere lend to a European-like dining experience. Service is somewhat slow but no need to rush! Sit back, relax, and enjoy everything this lovely restaurant has to offer!

I'm struggling to review this restaurant without sounding over the top, like it is a paid review. It's not. The food and service here are absolutely incredible. We chose the restaurant because we had been to the location before, when it was not The Ponte, but something else we can't remember and is now totally irrelevant. The back patio area is a gem. We came to celebrate an anniversary and they made it an experience to remember. Wine selection was spot on and the food was creative and flavourful. I can't recommend this place enough.

Had the best experience here and is now my favorite spot. The most amazing grappa cocktails and the spaghetti may seem basic but they make it so damn well. The whipped burrrata is something else too. Worth every penny. The staff was super attentive. The people sitting around us were so rude tho. Maybe that's just LA? Regardless, I'll go back any day of the week and recommend to anyone who asks. And I'm a bit of a cocktail and food snob.
