The Port Of Peri Peri - Review - Kirkland - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Portuguese chain known for flame-grilled chicken just opened its second Seattle-area location (the first one’s in Bothell). This casual counter spot in Kirkland has chicken in all forms, whether you want it whole, as wings, or tucked into a burger. And naturally, everything comes drenched in that spicy peri peri sauce. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Late Nights, Lake Views & Lively Flavors, ftom the moment that flame, kissed chicken hit our table, we knew we’d found something special. Port Peri Peri’s new Kirkland location has been open just 10 days and already feels like it’s been a neighborhood favorite for years. We ordered two quarter white meat meals (breast and wing): one with the milder and mild sauce and the other with the medium for a little kick. Every bite was juicy and layered with that smoky, chargrilled flavor you can only get from a real flame. The sauces added personality and zingy, earthy, and deeply craveable. Now let’s talk sides. The peri fries were Golden and addictively seasoned. The flame-grilled corn on the cob with lemon and herb sauce was sweet, tart, and smoky in the best way. The rice was soft and satisfying, and the perimayo corn? Creamy, rich, with just the right hit of spice. The portion size is just right. Although some reviewers believe the portion sizes are small. However, It is important to understand that the chicken is organic, cage free with no added hormones. And then there’s Aslam, the owner. He’s not just running a restauran, he’s hosting a celebration. Friendly, genuine, and passionate about what he does, he made sure we felt right at home. Before we left, he surprised us with their house chai tea which was a warm, fragrant, and deeply comforting surprise. The kind of gesture that turns a great meal into a memorable experience. Bonus points: Port Peri Peri is one of the few waterfront spots in Kirkland that keeps the lights on late, open until 10PM Sunday, 11 PM Monday through Thursday and 12AM Friday and Saturday. During the winter months, Aslam and his customer experience focused team provide covered and heated patio seating outside so you never have to go far for a food during late nights. Whether you’re strolling by the lake or catching a bite after hours, they’ve got you covered. :) If you haven’t made your way to Port Peri Peri yet, It’s a Kirkland MUST TRY! Also, Check out their original spot in Bothell just off Exit 26 on I-405. It’s been winning hearts for about a year now.

The place is small but very cozy. It’s new and will need some time to catch up to its other branch in Bothell. Food is awesome and be mindful of the spice level order as it can get hot 🌶️

I'm happy that they have now opened closer to my place. The location has the same great taste and attention, and I love the location. Ideal for a walk by the lake and then having a meal or chai. This location has outdoor dining only with views of Lake Washington. The owners mentioned that they will be winterizing the sitting area for the colder months. Hand slaughtered Halal food.

I had a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and served in generous portions. You definitely won’t leave hungry! The prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. On top of that, the people were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended !

Peri Cajun sauce mixed with lemon + herbs was recommended by the owner. The taste was great! Unfortunately, I got the chicken leg/thigh piece and there really wasn’t that much chicken on it so the portion felt small. I would try again though with the tenders.

Had a great experience coming here. Owner gave us thoughtful recommendations on the menu and answers all of our questions. Chai was fantastic and great service the entire time. I had the pita wrap and the Cajun fries.

Me and a coworker had two 1/2 chickens between us, one mild and one medium. Also had some wings along with the cassava fries(def try this when you get a chance!) the chicken was delicious and was a nice combo of spicy and citrus flavor. Would definitely get this again.

Stopped here while visiting the area and had a wonderful meal! Small/ family-run, you order inside and can either takeout or sit on their patio (with beautiful view of the marina on clear days). Food was delicious and fresh. Opted for ‘mild’ chicken in a pita wrap but still had a little kick! Very friendly staff. Will come back next time we’re in Kirkland!

Yelp
This was our first time eating food from here since they just opened. The staff were so friendly in explaining the menu and suggesting food items to order. The spice level is customizable. We had a whole chicken combo, with corn and rice for the sides. I recommend getting their chips as well, they are salted with their peri salt. They are located on the waterfront side of downtown Kirkland. Price was reasonable and the food is delicious!

Yelp
The food was delicious! The chicken was tender and moist, the coleslaw was awesome and the cassava chips were fresh and tangy with a hint of lime! My wrap was wrapped in parchment and aluminum foil. The foil was unnecessary and I found a sliver in my food!. No bathrooms here but they did have a wash station for your hands! Public bathrooms were across the street. Service was pretty quick and they brought the food out! Surprisingly for a self serve place. Streamline the ordering process to make people aware at the beginning before entering the door. Kind of like chipotle. It was a casual ambiance with a caviar experience.

Yelp
Delicious food. Peri peri chicken was cooked perfectly and very juicy. Fries were great too.

Yelp
Chicken here is fire! The spices they use is unbelievably good. Ordered the two 1/4 chicken medium hot, quarter chicken white meat, side rice and side veggies. Perfect for two people. This place doesn't have much space to sit and it's all outdoor. Fine for summer but in winter gotta get it to-go. Counter service but the person behind the counter is very courteous and food came out quick. We for sure will be back.
