Got the roasted veggie sandwich and a beer from the fridge. The sandwich was delicious. A perfect blend of roasted veggies, cheese, and a somewhat spicy chili sauce. Outdoor seating was pleasant and clean.

Just stopped in for a snack and a beer . Coming back to try one of their sandwiches and incredible wine selection. Salad was so fresh . Pretzel and mustard were excellent.

Google
Lovely spot for wine, beer, or sandwiches and salads. Friendly staff, and a great selection of wines. Great seating options indoors and outdoors

A neighborhood gem. A Portland must-do! We love the "PBS" and have been going since it first opened. It is a highlight of the week to head on down and have a pint and a tasty meal. Thank you Travis and team for providing such an awesome meeting, eating, and drinking place. K&M

Google
They have about eight beers on tap. Very comfortable outdoor seating which is perfect on a nice warm day. They have a ton of different beers in a refrigerator that you can get in cans. And they have a massive selection of wine, hence the name. A great and comfortable setting, perfect for people watching. Limited indoor seating. I enjoyed my IPA. I sat outside, watched the people and thoroughly enjoyed my 30 minutes here.

Google
Cozy little spot. Onion rings were so yummy, and exactly what I was hoping for. Tasty sandwiches and good selection of beers. Stopped in for a late lunch on a chilly day, and everything about it hit the spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
French Dip was pretty good, onion rings were spot on and the dip was great. Mushroom soup was tasty but a little thin. Fantastic selection of beer and wine!

Google
Cozy mom-and-pop wine store. Indoor and outdoor seating. The tables have a good amount of distance between each other. We stopped in for a glass of wine. We did not eat there, but the burgers and fries looked promising (if you like burgers).

Yelp
We went to The Portland Bottle Shop on one of our latest trips there. We wanted a bottle shop with a large can selection of local breweries and we definitely found that here and purchased quite a few cans to take home that nicely met those specifications. The great thing was not only did they have a good selection to take home in cans but they also served food and had beer on tap. We both got a beer, Steve and I to go along with our meal. For lunch I had a delicious Portobello Mushroom sandwich which was excellent! Very fresh ingredients and very, very flavorful. I haven't had this particular mushroom in a while and it was great to have it in this sandwich! Lots of other promising sandwich and lunch options as well! I'd love to come back because not only was the food great but this location is in a neighborhood I'm not familiar with at all and I would love to explore it some more!

Yelp
Lovely place with a good selection of brews to hang out and have a beer. But this review is focused on food. I had the Italian sandwich today, and I could barely taste the cold cuts over the bread. Good bread, but I don't think its a great match for a Italian sandwich, which needs something lighter/airier(eh hem.. Dos Hermanos baguette cough cough). Also I was given about a table spoon of vinaigrette to add to the sandwich, which wasn't nearly enough. I really prefer an intense dose of vinagrette style sour'ness with Italian sandwiches. And the ergonomics of the bread combined with the meat were terrible. Every bite pushed the filling out. Its a small detail, but it was annoying AF. I've had the burger in the past as well, and it was too heavy/greasy. Especially for take out. By the time I got back my bun had half disintegrated. So again, more attention to detail on the ergonomics of the food is needed here.

Yelp
If you can grab a seat outside, it's a wonderful place to be! In a good location & well kept. The onion rings were hands-down the best any of us had ever had. If you go- this is the one thing you have to get. The sandwiches are both fine- nothing crazy, nothing bad. No complaints because they make sense for what you pay. The woman who took our order was very friendly and welcoming. Overall good place! Would go back specifically for onion rings.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places for a quick happy hour or even networking meet up! I love the vibe and the drink list is extensive and amazing. They have wine tasting on Fridays (? I think) and wine specials every week. Food is great too! My favorites are the kale Caesar salad, and their panini sandwiches. Patio is just the best on a nice day.

Yelp
This place has a fantastic selection of wine and beer! Beautifully stocked with bottles and bottles, this place is appropriately named. We came on a beautiful sunny day and ordered the cheeseburger, fries, and a ceasar. I highly recommend it all. The fries were crispy and hot, the burger was savory and buns were toasted. The Ceasar salad was fresh and delicious. Paired with a glass of bubbly and it was a perfect lunch. It's counter service and they give you a number to bring your food out. The staff was super helpful and friendly!

Yelp
Wonderful selection and customer service that will make your day! The quality truly can't be beat, I've explored other bottle shops but this is by far my favorite. The snacks look delicious but alas, I haven't had an mace to try any of the food yet.

Yelp
Really wonderful bottle shop in the Sellwood area. It was great to see tons of locals enjoying their weekend here and that is a great sign of the place! It was awesome to be surrounded by so many wine bottles and beer that I've never even heard of and you can purchase them as you're waiting for your meal. Really cozy spot but they also have outdoor seating. Their menu consists of soups, salads, sandwiches, sides, and even a kids menu starting at ~$12. I ordered the chicken pesto, brooklyn, and side of onion rings. I enjoyed the pesto sandwich and would get that again. The bread was super soft but I personally would have preferred a thicker bread - still worth trying. For the brooklyn it was a nice hot sandwich but I probably would opt to get another sandwich next time. As for the onion rings you can get a small or large. If you're contemplating the staff said the small comes with 8 rings and large with 20 so do with that what you will. Staff here is nice as well and it's an awesome local spot to enjoy your meal.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite neighborhood haunts. Great wine, and beer selections. And, don't you dare shy away from the onion rings or any of the sammiches. The staff is always helpful and friendly too.

Yelp
I stopped by on a busy Friday afternoon with my boss and it was amazing! The service was prompt and a staff member came out and offered the dog treats and a water bowl! There's outside seating as well as indoor seating. Although they are known for the drinks, the food was amazing!!! I ordered a French dip and it was perfectly made. I highly recommend it. It's located in the heart of sellwood, dog friendly (at least outside) I'm excited to come back and check out their drink menus next time!

Yelp
Everyone working here is awesome. I've had the pleasure of sitting at most of the tables. Seating towards the bad allows you to watch the cooks (always in a playful mood) outdoor seating up front is awesome for people watching. My favorite is the pocket in the back by fridge (awesome selection of to go cans) Taps are hit and miss at times but the food is where it's at. Not a wine drinker myself but huge selection of wine as well.
google avatar

Anna J.

Yelp
Great selection of beer and wine in the shop and available for purchase by the glass. Food is so good - it is made to order fresh with high quality ingredients. Ambiance is that of a great neighborhood pub but elevated. Comfortable for dates and families alike. One of my favorite spots!
google avatar

Yelp
Crazy good sandwiches and good selection of taps. Nice place to sit and grab lunch in the south SE. Very nice selection of wines too if you're into that. (Props for carrying Bonny Doon wines!!!)

Yelp
A little obsessed with this cute little shop. Stopped here on a evening walk and it did not disappoint. The service was great- I asked for recs and they had some $8 wines already laid out. The ones we had (white and a red) were awesome. Pricey but worth it. Actually not to pricey for Portland, right? Loved the outside seating. Cute space. The food looked awesome and I was jealous that I already ate. Buying a bottle to avoid the corking fee would have been a nice choice had I thought more intentionally about it. Rats!
google avatar

Constantine J.

Yelp
Cool spot in Sellwood! Unique place with a bit of everything. They've got bottles of wine, tasting, beers, ciders, cocktails and decent food options. I liked the ambiance of the space! Drinks were good but the food was average. Pesto chicken had a very thin/small chicken filet (overcooked)- eating mostly brioche bun... not usually an issue but if you're paying $14 for just a sandwich, you'd expect to get more bang for your buck.

Yelp
Lots of good things to say about this place. Feels like Cheers. Good selection, good food, good prices
google avatar

Philip S.

Yelp
I suspect that most folks come in for the great selection of wine and beer. But there are also some nice options for salads and sandwiches. There are vegetarian options. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. There are several beers on tap. And if you really like what you ordered, you can get a crowler to go.
google avatar

Matt O.

Yelp
This place is a gem. Super friendly staff, great tap/bottle selection and the food is amazing. One of the best burgers in the city, hands down.
google avatar

Edme L.

Yelp
A nice selection of beer and wine, and some delicious snacks. The outdoor seating is nice, but if it's a bit too hot they have AC inside. Enjoyed hanging out having a couple beers, and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Hi, I just wanted to inform you about our experience visiting you last night. Last night my husband and our two friends decided to grab a drink after enjoying a nice dinner. We had never tried the Bottle Shop and thought it looked quaint and cute. We walked in and loved the vibe and coziness. We grabbed a bottle about 8:15 to share between 3 of us and we were enjoying our time together. However, at 8:45 one of the workers started sweeping by us and the other worker started flickering the lights and turning them down. It was clear the restaurant was going to be closing at 9. Two of us still had a full glass of wine left and we were planning on trying to finish it but also not chug it to get out of there by exactly 9. At 9:01, one of the workers came to our table and said, "this is your 10 minute warning." it was very rude. in fact, the whole process of the workers closing was very rude and it put a bad taste in our mouth to end our night. our bottle of wine was great but the service made us not want to return again unfortunately.

Yelp
I've been here around 8 times in the past 15 months. Have ordered soup, salad, cheesesteak and burgers. Excellent wine/beer selection. Mediocre food. Subpar service. Live down the street. Only come here for wine or beer now. Food is sort of edible but WAY over priced. Service is non-existent. Many better options in the neighborhood. I'll give them another shot in a couple of months to see if anything has improved.

Yelp
So. Much. Alcohol. It was overwhelming. There were bottles and cans everywhere. Which, when you are a bottle shop, is kind of what you are going for. This was my first time ever going to bottle shop and I was pleasantly surprised. Most surprising was the price. I was completely expecting everything to be outrageous. However, the beer I got was only $4.50 and most of the stuff in their selection was six dollars and under. You can't beat that. We also ordered some appetizers. I found the bowl of mixed olives plentiful but not really with much variety. The charcuterie board, sidenote I love saying charcuterie, was wonderful and allowed you a nice choice of what to put on it. I can certainly see this becoming our go to spot for just kicking back on their patio and enjoying some refreshments. Very much looking forward to the next time.

Yelp
This is an awesome place with robust and excellent wine and beer choices!!! Great place to hang out in Sellwood. People who work here are very nice and extremely knowledgeable. Visit if you haven't been here!!! You will be glad you did!

Yelp
We ordered the sandwich with steak, cheese, bell peppers etc. It came with little cheese, etc. ingredients and meat and bread were dry. The fries were favored well with cheese , garlic, etc. but were the very thin type which I don't like. My fault for not asking what type of fries they used. Friendly staff, informal seating, order menu from your phone (with help from waitress). Two areas for seating, one on each side of bar. Wines are on ceiling to floor shelving which makes for interesting Viewing. Service was good. We didn't wait long for our food. Daily choice of wines and beers etc.

Yelp
What a lovely spot to pop into for lunch with a friend. The staff is sweet and kind as can be. I ordered a tuna sandwich and was a wee bit nervous as I'm not a big fan of mayo. It was perfectly condimented and dressed with an amazing arugula salad that paired wonderfully with the tuna. My friend and I sat there far too long, but the crew was nothing but welcoming.

Yelp
This is a very nice wine bar and is worth a visit even if it's just to buy wine. The food menu is solid, but importantly they have a very good range of wine from all over the world. From high end $100 bottles to affordable $15 selections. They help navigate choices. It's becoming my favorite place to go for a unique bottle of wine In Portland.

Yelp
Fantastic! I was here a couple of years ago and loved everything about it. We just went back for lunch and had absolutely fantastic sandwiches with a nice glass of wine. I love the menu, the selection, the service, the shop, the whole thing. We plan to become regulars!

Yelp
Hidden Gem ! Wasn't expecting much from a bottle shop but damn ! that's a great joint .I came here with a group of friends to grab a quick bite but ended up spending a good amount of time here. The wine selection is amazing and so are the prices. We ordered a number of small plates and everything was on our table within like ten minutes. The polenta is a must try. They do have gf options which is always great. The place has a great vibe and good service and is very reasonable priced .
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great spot with terrific food as well as beer and wine to enjoy in the spot. It's been a lifesaver during Covid. Had the double cheese burger today on a fantastic brioche roll. Messy to eat but DAMN tasty. Check these folks out
google avatar

Yelp
We love this place. Ridiculous selection of beer, wine and tap selection. The food is great as well. We're in here at least every other week. Service and staff are great!!

Yelp
Everyone comes here on a Friday night. Seating is very limited, so much that we almost attempted to comadier a water cooler. It takes 10 mins to chill a bottle and if you're going to try something new-the bubbly rosé here is worth the wait. You can chill and drink more wine while your other wine is chilling. It's a good tactic to follow! I would suggest ladies not to bring your giant handbags here, not enough space if it's crowded! My only complaint is the cheeseboard needs more crackers. Other than that it's great! The employees here are very knowledgeable about their wines and pay attention on what to suggest to you based on what you've already consumed. They even have specific wines that are show cased every now and then. I stay for the story telling, and tastings. I honestly wasn't much of a wine connoisseur but this changed things, I must be growing up, going from unchilled tequila to waiting 10 mins for my wine bottle to cool off-ah the glow up. Fun place to spill tea while you sip wine on a weekend or a week night.

Yelp
We stopped by this shop on beautiful Monday afternoon for lunch and it was lovely, cute little place with wide verities of wines and beers plus small plates/sandwiches. They have couple seats inside but we sat outside since it was gorgeous day. They have like 3 tables so I can see this place could easily get crowded on weekend when it's nice out but that wasn't the issue for us. We had veg sandwiches and turkey BLT and they were sooooo good. Bread was very buttery and fries were heavenly(I think extra $2). There isn't any better way to enjoy your afternoon with nice breeze, good beer or wines and amazing food. We will come back for sure!

Yelp
Since COVID hit, my wife and I have been a little reluctant to get takeout. He decided to venture out and try Portland Bottle Shop for the first time, and were blown away. This Philly Cheesesteak was incredible, and the service could not have been better. This is our new go-to spot. Can't wait to try out the rest of their menu!
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
This was the second wine bottle shop we visited after our meal at PDX Sliders. This place was slightly bigger than the previous place and had a more open feel to it. They had their wine selection separated by region. They had a few tables and some outside. You also have to order at the counter. Ther bibe here is a bit more outgoing as they had a good range of music playing in the background. We ordered a bottle of red and enjoyed it.
google avatar

Brittany V.

Yelp
Amazing food and service but not sure why we got kicked out after we spent $300 because it was 5 mins before closing. Went to collect the 3 bottles I purchased and was escorted out by a staff member and was forcefully escorted out of the restaurant... wife was still inside. Kinda weird. Update: called to speak with owner. After telling him my experience -husband - he told me to "go fuck myself". Again, entire thing is really odd. Maybe owner was intoxicated? He was very nice during dinner.

Yelp
As good as it gets you say? Well please keep it down. Please keep it down but also go. Take your grown up friends and spend some quality time in a grown up place. For whatever reason the running and screaming of children seems to elude this place. The milenials have not found it because there is nothing hipster or trendy about it. The very core of this place seems to be comfort. Come in browse around find something you like to drink and then why not get some food to go along with it? A place where grown ups go to have grown up conversations and have a good time. The beer selection is great and yet not overwhelming. They seem to follow the what is good rule and also the what has been and continues to be good rule. There are so many good beers that I cant believe you wouldnt find something that is on your list of personal favorites. The taps are loaded with local favorites and also seem to transition as the seasons change. They have expanded over the time of my first reveiw and seem to keep growing. Are they a seasonal restaurant? Well the seating is almost double while the good weather persist. Most patrons take advantage and the outside tables full up quickly. I dont mind because that usually means a table is available inside. I would have said before it was good. Based on the wine and beer selection alone. Now they have added a food selection that seems to be finding its ground. The selections are not your usual suspects and that is what is exciting. They have outstanding selections of salad all nothing fancy or gigantic but good adult size portions that dont leave you asking for a doggie bag for everything you order. Yet, you leave satisfied because the prices are not so overwhelming that your are afraid to order more than one thing. I find myself always ordering two or three things and making a full meal to share out of three or four plates. I really like what the cook is doing back there. I can taste the love they are sending out of the back and it tickles my toungue and warms my heart. This place will contiue to be successful and hopefully not over crowded but I want them to contiue to grow because I cant get enough of it. Always friendly staff and attentive. It is an order and sit down kind of place. I see that as a negative but the meals are not so big that they take a long time to come out or that they dont come out in the order they should. Starters come out you nibble and then your salad or entree comes out and you continue to enjoy your adult beverage and in between take bites of deliciousness. There is even something for the kids but I would say for the bigger kids. You know the ones that can sit and eat at a restaurant. Not the little toddlers that run around screaming. I just like the there is no play area ambieance. The wind display seems to be a little eratic but then I discovered that to be an enjoyable attribute. You and others wander around the walls looking for something special. Something to savior as you are also deciding should we get something to eat here or take this home and enjoy it at our own house.? A delightful stop in Sellwood that seems to keep getting better and better without the crowds. Adults of the area rejoice. Your oasis awaits. Great date spot. Good for lunch good for liner.

Yelp
Really great place! We stopped by to grab a burger and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The fries are out of this world, recommend the garlic & rosemary. Absolutely delicious and quite memorable. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Great place to pick up bottle of wines with varied prices of affordability. Great service and recommendations.

Yelp
Oh for goodness sake--the wine, the fries and the smash burger!! Are y'all trying to SEE ME EVERY DAY? I'm about to move in, that is how delicious everything was and how great the service is. I WILL BE BACK.
google avatar

Allison N.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I moved to Sellwood this summer and this place became one of our favorites! We love trying their rotating taps and featured wine tastings. Sometimes we drop in for a drink (or two) and a quick card game. Also, the staff is always friendly :)
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute and cool spot in a great location along Sellwood. I really enjoyed the fresh veggie sandwich. I spotted delicious looking salads and charcuterie at nearby tables that I'll need to try in the near future.
google avatar

Tricia O.

Yelp
This is a cute a little shop with a small hand picked wine selection. The staff was really sweet and helped us pair a nice local wine with the dinner we plan to make. There are also large tables on one side and small ones on the other to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or beer. A nice cozy atmosphere for a mid-day drink with family or friends after shopping all day in downtown Sellwood.
google avatar

Yelp
Love Bottle Shop. Great food and great wine! Possibly the best soft pretzels in town Go for happy hour or dinner but get there early (or late) because this place always draws a crowd. Especially on a nice day. I highly recommend the Clara C if you like bubbly Rosé. Knocked off 1 star because it feels like a cafeteria lately. The server brings out food on a giant plastic cafeteria tray in take out boxes and wine is served in plastic cups. :/ Apparently they aren't using actual dishes anymore.
google avatar

Aimee R.

Yelp
Incredible beer selection (truly one of the best I've ever encountered), great food (get the turkey and green chili sandwich) and wonderful service. I love this place.

Michael M.

Yelp
I was in Sellwood for a different reason and decided to try this shop as I was looking for a certain type of wine, a Sicilian red called Etna Rosso, and it was difficult to find. The man behind the counter came around to ask if he could help me and when i told him what I was looking for it went to a section of the shelving where it should be -- and there it was. He was pleasant, helpful and polite. I will be back soon looking for more wines.
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
This hidden gem is my favorite place for wine and relaxing. You can buy a bottle and drink there it's amazing.

Dimetrea H.

Yelp
Our first time trying! We waited quite a while outside to get our food, but it was good!! The only downer is my sandwich was upside down? So when i opened it, my toppings were all out and i had to scoop it back in to the bread.
google avatar

J H.

Yelp
Found this place by just walking around! Had to pee actually. Popped in and realized it's s a great find!
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
The food was great. I got the smoked ham sandwich with honey mustard and I upgraded to get the french fries instead of chips. The bread was toasted and crisp, cheese was melted nicely over and just the right amount of honey mustard. Too much of that and it is over but they knew what they were doing. I paid extra for fries and they gave me 3 options. I went for the ones with the parmesan seasoning. Very good! My second favorite fry (after the truffle fries). I ordered a glass of wine and it was about $9.. for half a glass. Next time, I would just get a beer. There were several people working the counter and I would give this a 5 star review for the awesome food and modern, cozy atmosphere but the lacking were the people working here-they could be more welcoming and friendly. I am starting to see a trend in Sellwood with this type of customer service, very sad. I would come back here with a business associate, order a sandwich with a beer and not expect to be in presence of super friendly cashiers.

Nick R.

Yelp
Awesome food with nice environment. I had the double smash burger with onion rings and garlic parmesan. Two thumbs up
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
This isn't just a place to pick up a bomber of beer or a bottle of wine, though they have an exhaustive selection of both. It's more than that. They have nicely curated beer on tap, along with an interesting food menu. We had a cheese board and the parmesan and garlic fries for dinner here one night, because we're all nutritious and stuff. Both were very good and reasonably priced. There was also a free Perennial beer tasting going on, which is not too shabby. The staff here is extremely friendly, and we had some lovely conversations while sitting at the bar. It's a quiet but inviting atmosphere where you can have an adult discussion while enjoying some great drinks and food. And if you want to pick up a delicious beverage to take home, they've got you covered. Perfecto.
