First time here. Great service. We had the slice of the day lunch special including a very good salad and a drink for $11. The slice was huge and an exceptional crust. This used to be a VFW post. In business for more than 10 years, not sure how we missed it. We will be back for sure.

Google
Fantastic experience. Found out about The Post on TikTok, these folks delivered! They are worth the hype! We tried the pepperoni slice 🍕🍕🍕, tried a half Italian Sub, half Meatball Sub, and a BBQ Chicken Pizza. The crust was out of this world!!!! They are worth the hype!!!! Give these folks a try!!!!

Absolutely love The Post, best pizza in town in my opinion. Had the chicken and waffles pizza last night which was great, as was service, but the dining room was unreasonably cold. My whole party had to keep our coats on throughout our meal and I only took my gloves off when it was time to eat. Even some of the employees had big coats and earmuffs on! I definitely would have had another beer but decided to go to another bar for a second drink instead… gonna consider takeout next time if it stays that way.

Google
The BEST PIZZA in Louisville! I have to stop by and bring my friends every year while we’re in town for louder than life. This place is a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, good customer service. I fully recommend the South Pacific pizza with sweet chili drizzle, it’s so tasty, full of flavor and one big pizza is enough for 4 people. Great variety of beer too and a full bar!

It was very nice and busy , everybody is so sweet . It’s kinda small or the area I was seated in with 3 kids was just small but it was really a nice atmosphere and vibe.

We’ve been to both locations and the pizza was excellent on Bardstown Rd and in Germantown. Service was awesome in Bardstown - friendly, quick and awesome. However, the one time we didn’t get take out and dined inside at the Germantown location was a different story. I had my service dog, an 8 lb Chihuahua mix, in a bag. The lady (tallish, straight medium length brown hair, glasses) at the door, who turned out to also be our server, told us to sit wherever we liked. We sat at the bar and she came up, pointed at my quiet, relaxed, non plussed service dog and said, “I can’t have it in here. You have to sit outside”. I understand that not everyone knows the law regarding service dogs, but if your establishment doesn’t allow pets, you should at least know how to politely ask legal questions to determine if an animal is allowed in as a service animal. I told the lady that my dog is a service dog and she rudely asked what for. When I told her what my service dog is trained to do for my disability, she looked annoyed and begrudgingly allowed us to stay inside. Our pizza was just as good as the other times when we got take out, but I felt uncomfortable the whole time. Our server didn’t attempt to make up for anything and continued to be short and rude. Meanwhile, there was a baby who cried the entire 45 minutes we were there. Yes, babies are humans and are obviously allowed in restaurants, but to get treated rudely when my dog is 8 lb, quiet, in a sling bag and a service animal made it a lot harder to understand why I was the one who was being treated disrespectfully and impolitely.

Google
Louisville classic well worth the money. The food, beer, and professional servers are all great. I have been going here for years and never had a bad meal. I highly recommend going here if looking for pizza in Louisville. It’s simply the best place to go. Also the slice of the day changes and usually pretty great. 5/5 totally worth coming here for either dining in or out. For those with disabilities, this place has good accessibility as well.

Google
I recently dined at The Post and was thoroughly impressed by their exceptional pizza offerings. Opting for the unique Chicken & Waffle Pizza, I found it to be a delightful combination of flavors that exceeded my expectations. The service was prompt and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, the dining area was quite chilly during our visit, prompting my party to keep our coats on throughout the meal. Notably, some staff members were also wearing heavy coats and earmuffs, indicating that the temperature affected everyone. This cooler environment led us to relocate to another venue for additional drinks, as we preferred a warmer setting. Despite this, the quality of the food and service at The Post was outstanding. In the future, I might consider opting for takeout if the dining room temperature remains low.

Yelp
When I first moved to Louisville, I asked one of my wife's friends what their favorite pizza places are. After rattling off a few, they said "oh there's this place off Goss called the Post. You gotta check that out." It took a few years, but I finally did once we moved to Germantown. I've gotten slices, personal pizzas, and even split a few Gluten Free pizzas --- all have been excellent. The Post is a destination. It's a draw for people from all over Louisville, and is consistently pretty busy inside. While a lot of people do order takeout, the building itself is a unique experience. This pizza spot is in a former VFW Hall, and there are signs and pictures all around dedicated to its history. Every pizza I've had has been delicious --- Allies, New Colussus, Italian Campaign, and your basic cheese. I've also had a few awesome slices of the day, which are very filling. There's a good beer and drink selection and the prices are not bad. There are also TV's all around, so if you want to watch some football or basketball, this is a good spot to settle in. This place lives up to the hype in my opinion. Just keep in mind, when you walk inside, the building looks cramped and full at first. Don't let that intimidate you. You can usually find a spot if you look down in the bar area, or in the back. And if you can't, a spot will open up shortly because service does move pretty quickly. It's worth the wait.

Yelp
We had time to kill before our underground zip line experience, and I was craving pizza so we ended up here. The area itself is kind of neat with a lot of homes converted to restaurants. The spot seemed pretty low-key and had a cute patio. As a tourist passing through, this was very appealing! We ordered the Meatball Sub, the New Dill 12 inch pizza, and a Prairie Tiny Esses Sour. My partner devoured the meatball sub, and I loved the unique flavor of my pizza! They had a fun and wide variety of beer on their draft list! I tried a sour and it was like nothing I've experienced before. I love places where I can try brews outside of the normal tap list! We ended up street parking and walking a few blocks. Service was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
The Post has easily become our favorite neighborhood pizza spot. About 75% of the time, we order takeout directly from their website, and they've nailed the process. The staff are quick to recognize us when we pull up to the designated spot, always greeting us and checking on our order. The takeout is consistently hot and delicious. We never miss out on ordering a pizza and their incredible cheese bread. The thin crust is truly *chef's kiss*--crispy, light, and flavorful. Occasionally, we'll order just the cheese bread to pair with homemade pasta at home; it's that good! I'm not a fan of blue cheese dressing, but our friends are obsessed. Every time we dine in with them, they rave about it. The restaurant itself is always spotless, and the staff are eager to assist. They also have a nice outdoor patio, which adds to the charm when dining in. Overall, The Post is a gem for both takeout and dining in!

Yelp
What a great place! Their pizza slices are HUGE and only $5! They always have cheese and pepperoni options and then there's a slice of the day. The photo is tomato & spinach. They have a great selection of beer on tap.

Desiree R.

Yelp
A favorite among locals. Pizza is delicious and I love the ability to order one slice if wanted. Their slices are gigantic and only $5. This spot is definitely in our rotation of tasty pizza joints.

Aaron E.

Yelp
Louisville is home to great places. The Post has amazing food. You can pizza by the slice which makes me happy. A good bar type menu and some healthy stuff to go along. It's a fun and open atmosphere. Great for people watching. The prices are not bad. We had great service which made it so much more enjoyable. You can literally spend hours there.

Maxine H.

Yelp
The Caesar salad (add chicken) is to die for.. I mean.. best salad I've ever had. I ordered with no olives. The chicken is amazing! Will update with a photo next visit. Pizza was ok.

Adam P.

Yelp
Great New York style crust! Crispy and then chewy. We got a half Mediterranean half White Flag. Service was nice and quick and prices were fair. Make sure you plan some time for parking because there isn't much on the property but we didn't have much trouble finding street parking. We will be back if we are ever headed through Louisville in the future! Just the kind of humble pizza joint we were looking for!

Courtney N.

Yelp
100% yes to this pizza! Traditional NY Style pizza perfectly executed. Massive, garlicky, and an incredible flavor blend, The Post is a family friend bar & pizza restaurant with a casual vibe. Service was friendly- & the value was there even though it's a bit pricey. I'm visiting from Indy and I will happily make the trip down to The Post in Louisville for a big slice of pizza

Truc P.

Yelp
Pizza here are soooo crunchy! Sad they didnt have the chicken and waffle pizza but they definitely know how to make their pizza!

Kaelin C.

Yelp
we used to live in Germantown and this was our go to spot, so we still love visiting. I love that they have a "Pizza of the month" & you can buy individual slices and it's always something funky and fresh (and HUGE!). This time we got the south Pacific pizza that has a few different meats and a sweet chili drizzle. it's kind of one of our go tos- always delicious. We also usually get the pesto bread as an appetizer & look forward to it. The beer menu is diverse & exciting. the outdoor patio seating area has been revamped and faces Goss Avenue. They have a small parking lot for a few cars, but otherwise it's street parking and walkable. love this spot for not just cookie cutter pizza.

Caleb V.

Yelp
Best pizza around, friendly staff, great service and very unique options. This has become our go to anytime we want Pizza

Macauley N.

Yelp
Whether you need a quick lunch bite, have a date, or want to catch up with friends, the post is fast and delicious! Indoor, outdoor, bar seating. They have pizza by the slice and a rotating pizza of the month.

Mike T.

Yelp
New York style pizza!! The real deal and folds perfectly. We will be back! The real deal!

Thama P.

Yelp
Delicious! I was wanting New York style pizza and it delivered! Very reasonable in pricing and had me coming back for seconds! Piping hot and fresh pizza literally. This place is a gem! The service was quick and easy! Highly recommend!

Danielle B.

Yelp
All I can say is everything the pizza is everything New York style slices huge delicious and hot. Service is great the employees were amazing.

Lorie L.

Yelp
It was too long! My son raved about a pizza he had with friends, which was The Post, so when we found ourselves in the area we stopped by for dinner. It was packed! We were happy to find a high top table for 4. The crowd ebbed and flowed while we were there so if you arrive when it's busy, hang tight and a table will open up. Fantastic pizzas, we kept it simple with cheese and pepperoni. The cheese was delicious so the next time I visit, I may suggest ordering without toppings. Plenty of beers on tap if you'd prefer something harder than soda. Service is good, just be patient during those busy times. Small parking lot so street parking may be your better option.

Lauren H.

Yelp
If I lived a smidge closer The Post would be my go to pizza spot, but for now its my go to spot if I'm getting in the car! It had been a long time since I've visited but I got the south pacific pizza and oh my goodness it is the perfect combo and amazing for those of us who love pineapple on pizza (yes it belongs there). The garlic olive oil base is truly perfect for all the toppings, it allows each of them to speak for themselves. That something a red sauce or even bbq sauce base won't do. The sweet chili drizzle on top brings this all together and wraps it into something delightful. Okay, I loved the pizza so why 4 stars? The process of picking up an order. I arrived at a somewhat quiet time but I had to hunt a worker down just to inquire about my pizza. When I did receive it they forgot my drink and I had to wait, again. Maybe because this was my first time picking up from them rather than dining it, but that experience made me feel like a lost nyc rat looking for pizza. I've dined in before and had no complaints about service etc. Overall: I'll be back but I'll try and dine in.

Alison R.

Yelp
5 adults out for dinner on a Monday nite and we all voted to go to The Post. With so many places offering pizza in the Germantown neighborhood, with 4 of them being within a literal stones throw from each other, it is always an easy choice to choose The Post, particularly if you are a fan of NY Style Pizza. And for those who need to street away from pizza, The Post offers a good variety of alternatives. Hint, the chicken pieces appetizer with my favorite hot sauce, is the way to go. There are always between 8-12 draft craft beers to choose from. The wait staff is primarily young, energetic, pleasant and aim to please. Makes for a perfect night out with friends.

James L.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was good. The chicken and waffle pizza was okay but not my favorite.

Rachel E.

Yelp
The post is a staple! Great spot for pizza and a beer. The Chicken and Waffles in December is a must get.

Katharine S.

Yelp
This is without a doubt the best pizza in Louisville. Absolutely incredible. The marinara alone is worth going here for. It's so herby and fresh, you can tell it's been made in house.

Terri P.

Yelp
Saw Reviews on TikTok and wanted to try it. They did not disappoint. First the service was great and the pizza was perfect. Nice crispy crust great flavor and the portions are huge. We will definitely be back.

Jane R.

Yelp
Word on the street that the Post is one of the best Louisville pizza places! They aren't wrong. I have only been here a few times and every time, I get a good pizza and feel so satisfied. This time I got the pesto chicken pizza. I heard Pizza Lupo is also one of the best places!

Craig R.

Yelp
Some of best pizza in Louisville; highly recommended. Service was also good during our visit.

Edmund C.

Yelp
First off I must say the blonde waitress is really cute, but I am going to give an unbiased review anyways. I am a foodie visiting from socal and saw this place recommended on Reddit. The parking was super easy. Plenty of free street parking. On Reddit they said a slice of pizza was $3, but that's probably old because it's now $5. I was already full before coming here but I had to try the place before leaving. I elected for a slice of pizza (pepperoni and cheese) meal, which includes a breadstick or a salad and a drink. So that's what I got. The close of pizza is huge. It does fold when you pick it up, so I had to eat most of it with a fork and knife. Over it was good. The breadstick was also good. The waitress was also attentive. The ambience is good here. They don't rush you eating here and there were more than plenty of seats during lunch.

Jordan S.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza place. We got the chicken dinner pizza. I really liked the bbq sauce and the crust combination. The chicken you get on it is very rubbery, almost like the kind you get frozen in a bag. Service is pretty eh, nothing to write home about. I like the atmosphere. Overall not the best but not the worst place to go.

Heath L.

Yelp
Simply put -- great pizza. No pasta, some subs & salads though. Service was friendly and fast.

Maria P.

Yelp
My first time in Kentucky and this was recommended by a local for NY style pizza. I love NY style pizza as my brother in law is from New York and I'm not expecting NY style to taste the same in other parts of the United States. Tucked in a cute part of town, street parking and plenty of public places to park. It was a hot sunny June day when we came to visit and we came hungry. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Clean inside and lots of space. Menu is easy to read and prices seem fair especially for the extra large pizza we ordered. We ordered different varieties from pepperoni, pizza margarita, mushroom and garlic to a white sauce pizza with ricotta cheese and veggies. The crust would have been desirable if it had a little more salt. Out of all the pizza we ordered which was 5 extra large, The pepperoni was the best because it flavored the pizza. Unfortunately, the rest of our orders lacked flavor. Maybe it was the sauce or the crust that lacked salt, however it was mostly bland! I wasn't the only person who expressed the pizza disappointment, especially when you are dishing out $25 or more per pizza order. Unfortunately, the Post didn't delight most of our palette that day. Service was slow thou friendly. It took about 20 minutes to finally put in our order. It is a clean and friendly establishment and I hope they improve the flavoring of their pizza. Ambiance is simple decor, all wood inside and a bit noisy when crowded as there is nothing to absorb the sound. However, on a beautiful day the outdoor patio is a lovely alternative.

Mike C.

Yelp
I started out in management in the pizza business, so when I approach or go to a pizza business, I am super critical. Their pizzas are really good, however, they kind of hold back on giving you the full topping amount. Our waitress was very attentive at the beginning, and left us hanging while she worked on many other details at the end of our meal. This was frustrating. If they would step up the service a little bit with this particular waitress, my rating would've been higher. Also, I had just the slices of pizza which are extra large and great size. I ordered two and only ate one. It was the amount of toppings on the pepperoni that made me make the comment. The ambience of this place is excellent. I highly recommend it. I just hope they do a little training to have their staff step it up a little bit.

Carol P.

Yelp
This is my favorite pizza place. The prices are very reasonable and the pizza is delicious. The service is always good in a relaxed environment. I recommend it to anyone that likes a cheesy thin crust pizza. It's the best!

Sheila B.

Yelp
Bro this places pizza is CRAZYYYYY ! Gives goodfellas vibes for sure. Great draft list, but we carried out. Got the steak and beer cheese pizza and it did not disappoint. I love a white pizza ! Pretty chill vibes, highly recommend:)

Kohlton R.

Yelp
New into town and visited the post with my roommate. We are very disappointed to have had to wait 46 minutes to even get our bread sticks. We had the urge to order a medium; since it was already $15 for bread sticks and to add on another 30+ for a pizza just didn't sound right. In conclusion we're probably not going to eat pizza from Louisville any time soon this ruined pizza for me!

Christine S.

Yelp
We ordered a 20 inch pizza with multiple toppings, one being pickles. The entire pizza was covered in pickles. We picked them off and counted over 60 I am not sure if that was normal, but it was way out of proportion for the other toppings. Even the server said she had never seen so many. The Italian salad was delicious and the atmosphere is nice. The service was efficient.

Drew R.

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar and the food is always on point. Nice happy hour and lunch menu. Drinks are well prepared and worth the price. Service has always been very good in the bar.

Virgil L.

Yelp
Best Pizza across the bridge. The Liberty Bell pizza has become a fan favorite at my Thursday Night Poker get togethers. Highly recommend for a casual night out. Two Thumbs up.

Claudia E.

Yelp
My husband, my in-laws, and I were craving some pizza. This place had great reviews, so we drove all the way up from Elizabethtown to check it out for ourselves. We had a great meal out! We were able to get seated quickly, and the staff was great and attentive the entire night. We started out with some cheesy bread and judging by how fast we finished it up you could definitely tell we liked it! We then ordered the White Flag pizza, and similarly went to town on it. The atmosphere was pretty cool, kind of dimly lit but still humble in a very good way. Overall we had a great experience and we'd definitely recommend it, even with the long drive up!

Jason H.

Yelp
It never fails. Excellent food, superb service, great beer selection. I wish I lived closer to put this into my rotation but I'll settle for every once in awhile. My group of 4 ate and drank to our hearts content with leftovers to spare. I highly recommend if you enjoy NY Style pizza. Cannot say enough about how amazing this food is!

Chris N.

Yelp
Went there during the week on a rainy sstormy day. Food was delicious. Pizza was really big and had to take some home, but was really delicious

Mallory R.

Yelp
We've been here a few times and each time I've left full and happy. We usually just get a big slice of pepperoni and some breadsticks, but this last time we got this phillie pizza and it was fantastic. I'm usually not a big onion fan but I couldn't really even tell they were on the pizza. The crust has a nice crunch and the topping to crust ratio is perfect. Leftovers in the air fryer are *chefs kiss*. They have lots of option on the menu, but I'd love to see a potato pizza in the future

Kristin L.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. The place was fairly busy so that was a good sign! Service was a bit slow, but food was out fast after we ordered. We shared a Caesar salad, which was tasty with the not so usual olives added. The giant slice of pepperoni was giant! It came out piping hot. Had to knife and fork it at first! Crust had a nice chew and was not over or underdone. Would like to come back and order a whole pie next time.

Taylor N.

Yelp
The Post never disappoints! Most recently we got a meatball sub and the March special pizza (Reuben). We were most impressed with the meatball sub! I've been craving it ever since we ate it. Probably the best meatball sub I've ever had! The Reuben pizza was really good. I would say it's a little more Reuben adjacent rather than tasting like a Reuben, but I preferred it that way. Salty and sweet! The leftovers didn't last long!

Bob C.

Yelp
Consistently good pizza. Love they serve by slice and offer a special slice of the day but you all know that... BUUuuuut have you tried their Italian sandwich? OH YEA, they nailed the landing! Have to admit I get torn between a slice or the italian sandwich because I don't want to miss out on the pizza if I order the sandwich. PROBLEM solved: get the half sandwich, a slice and favorite beer-- you will have no regrets guaranteed!

Chris C.

Yelp
This was one of the best pizza places I've been. Every bit of it was excellent. From Wisconsin this trump most in our area!

Tyler R.

Yelp
Definitely in my top 3 pizza places in Louisville. No other place has quite the selection and flavor profile as Post.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Always have had great service each time dining indoor or outdoor, cool place. Great Pizza. Our favorite in the city, absolutely delicious. The subs and salads are also awesome. Only small issue is parking can be challenging but with pizza this good, who cares!

Rob A.

Yelp
Locally recommended. The pizza was fantastic. Blue cheese, bacon, chicken bbq sauce. Yumbo, man. Great servers , and outdoor patio. A perfect meal in Louisville.

Faith R.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! I haven't had one bad thing from here yet. The service is fast and the pizza makes your mouth water
