I just had a lunch meeting at The Post and things went well. For a place that just opened, things seemed to be in good shape. The food was good, atmosphere was nice (music was a tad bit too loud) and the service was good. I had some fried calamari and the burrata appetizer as it was a lunch meeting. The food was fine and everything was cooked properly. I'll come back in a few weeks to try a full meal after the Jazz Fest shenanigans is done. 4/5 just due to not having the full experience. That and I just don't give out 5 stars unless a place blows me away.

I found a new favorite spot. Wonderful service!! Super cool atmosphere from the music selection to the cozy booths. I enjoyed my club sandwich and slaw. Topped it off with a margarita. Stop in for brunch/lunch.

Skip this place. No one answers the phone during lunch on a Wednesday. Owner drank 3 glasses of wine while I waited 30 minutes for takeout. Calamari has no sauce and is chewy. Fish was over and undercooked. Lobster salad was totally meh. Smallest burger of all time. They used cheeze-wiz on the steak sandwich. Coleslaw is bland. Fries were good. There are many other places to eat for this experience to be mediocre-to-bad.

Nice location and friendly staff with a comfortable outdoor area, that works as long as the weather is mild. If it gets too hot this area of the majority of their seating area may not be the most comfortable but for now it's nice. Wait staff is very friendly and helpful and responsive. Menu is relatively basic but on the pricey side. The calamari was not all that great, and it seemed to be doused in some kind of liquid that made it look like it was greasy, there were no dipping sauces so it was kind of fried calamari that ended up being saturated with some kind of liquid it wasn't super tasty. I think that recipe needs some work. The lobster and goat cheese salad was good except the quality of the lettuce left a bit to be desired.

The Post is a new restaurant that opened in April 2023 which is located in a nice section of Esplanade Avenue near the Fairgrounds and several other good restaurants. This restaurant and bar is located inside a beautiful old house which really gives it some great ambiance. This is an interesting spot as the majority of the seating is located on their nice outdoor patio. They have a nice bar inside here and then inside they actually have a much smaller amount of dining room space. So far I've only eaten lunch here and the menu has been on the concise side compared to most other New Orleans area eating establishments. The food here is not New Orleans food or even Southern food. I have made a decent dent in the menu and I've tried their cheesesteak sandwich, the fish & chips and a cheeseburger. Overall the food here is decent to good and the cheesesteak was the only item I thought that could use some further tweaking. My video review of The Post is here: https://youtu.be/sdXSMmlRtls

Work in the area and had a simple craving: a BLT w/ fries. Found on GPS & tried to call, but no answer so I decided to go anyway (Good choice). The aesthetic is very pleasing, the customer service was exceptional, and I was in & out within 15 minutes. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! (P.S - the best BLT I've had in NOLA thus far.. coming for my next craving ;)

Had a great meal with friendly staff. We had the fish and chips, salmon, burger and shrimp and goat cheese salad. All was was excellent and paired with reasonable Sauvignon Blanc recommended by our waiter Jay. I will definitely be back
