I just had a lunch meeting at The Post and things went well. For a place that just opened, things seemed to be in good shape. The food was good, atmosphere was nice (music was a tad bit too loud) and the service was good. I had some fried calamari and the burrata appetizer as it was a lunch meeting. The food was fine and everything was cooked properly. I'll come back in a few weeks to try a full meal after the Jazz Fest shenanigans is done. 4/5 just due to not having the full experience. That and I just don't give out 5 stars unless a place blows me away.

I found a new favorite spot. Wonderful service!! Super cool atmosphere from the music selection to the cozy booths. I enjoyed my club sandwich and slaw. Topped it off with a margarita. Stop in for brunch/lunch.

Skip this place. No one answers the phone during lunch on a Wednesday. Owner drank 3 glasses of wine while I waited 30 minutes for takeout. Calamari has no sauce and is chewy. Fish was over and undercooked. Lobster salad was totally meh. Smallest burger of all time. They used cheeze-wiz on the steak sandwich. Coleslaw is bland. Fries were good. There are many other places to eat for this experience to be mediocre-to-bad.

The Post is a new restaurant that opened in April 2023 which is located in a nice section of Esplanade Avenue near the Fairgrounds and several other good restaurants. This restaurant and bar is located inside a beautiful old house which really gives it some great ambiance. This is an interesting spot as the majority of the seating is located on their nice outdoor patio. They have a nice bar inside here and then inside they actually have a much smaller amount of dining room space. So far I've only eaten lunch here and the menu has been on the concise side compared to most other New Orleans area eating establishments. The food here is not New Orleans food or even Southern food. I have made a decent dent in the menu and I've tried their cheesesteak sandwich, the fish & chips and a cheeseburger. Overall the food here is decent to good and the cheesesteak was the only item I thought that could use some further tweaking. My video review of The Post is here: https://youtu.be/sdXSMmlRtls

Nice location and friendly staff with a comfortable outdoor area, that works as long as the weather is mild. If it gets too hot this area of the majority of their seating area may not be the most comfortable but for now it's nice. Wait staff is very friendly and helpful and responsive. Menu is relatively basic but on the pricey side. The calamari was not all that great, and it seemed to be doused in some kind of liquid that made it look like it was greasy, there were no dipping sauces so it was kind of fried calamari that ended up being saturated with some kind of liquid it wasn't super tasty. I think that recipe needs some work. The lobster and goat cheese salad was good except the quality of the lettuce left a bit to be desired.

Work in the area and had a simple craving: a BLT w/ fries. Found on GPS & tried to call, but no answer so I decided to go anyway (Good choice). The aesthetic is very pleasing, the customer service was exceptional, and I was in & out within 15 minutes. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! (P.S - the best BLT I've had in NOLA thus far.. coming for my next craving ;)

Had a great meal with friendly staff. We had the fish and chips, salmon, burger and shrimp and goat cheese salad. All was was excellent and paired with reasonable Sauvignon Blanc recommended by our waiter Jay. I will definitely be back

Yelp
We live in the neighborhood and many of our neighbors have been saying that they like this place, so we decided to try it. It has a great outdoor seating area, the inside dining rooms are warm and welcoming, and the bar serves craft cocktails. We had the single burger with fries and the Hot and Sticky Chicken sandwich with fries. The burger was homemade and juicy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Hot and Sticky Chicken was a tasty and crispy fried chicken breast with hot honey and ham. The fries were crispy just the way we like them. This place has a good ambiance and we are glad to have another dining option so close to home.

Yelp
Loved the Post! As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I had to check this place out. I have since been 3x in a month. The burrata was divine. Not picture - the pot stickers, double cheeseburger, blt and fish taco. I am determined to go back and try a new dish each time. Fresh ingredients, cute inside, hoping the menu is seasonal/ever changing !! Yummy drinks

Yelp
This is a wonderful spot! Really great for after work drinks! I sat at the beautiful bar but there is also an awesome patio setting! The bartender, Mari, was as sweet and attentive as she always has been, you'll have great conversations with her! I ordered the Burrata and could've licked that plate clean! Not one reason this place should ever receive anything less than 5 stars! So do yourself a favor, grab a seat, grab a drink, grab some bites and Post up!

Yelp
The Post is a beautiful restaurant and bar set in a charming neighborhood. Stopped in for drinks and an appetizer and it was perfect. Good food, good service and great atmosphere. They have a large patio too

Yelp
Great place! Stopped by after work for drinks and snacks and really enjoyed the patio. This is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and I'm looking forward to coming back. Smart menu with good favorites on it. A+ service from everyone on the staff.

Yelp
So excited this place is open! Beautiful patio, good food and a solid wine selection. Stopped by during Jazzfest and had phenomenal service. Really enjoyed our time here and can't wait to come back !

Yelp
Our waitress was great, but the food was confusing. I ordered a wedge salad and was brought a wedge of raw cabbage. Dressed just like you would expect an iceberg wedge to be dressed. I ate what I could thinking perhaps it was the new thing...but just checked the website menu and it definitely says iceberg. Somebody in the kitchen got really creative last night, or just didn't know the difference between iceberg lettuce vs cabbage.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab lunch on way to airport with buddy and had chicken sandwich (unreal good - think home done even better Chick-fil-A with superb sauce) and steak and cheese (real good - not great) and cool, laid back service and good vibe and you got this place. Pretty sure you won't be disappointed

Yelp
Great new spot! Had the burger and it was classically good. The outdoor seating is really nice and clean and the wait staff was very attentive. Bridgette even noticed we were fighting the flies and brought a "fly fan" over. Great experience, will definitely go back.

Yelp
Service is superior. Thank you, Jay and Matt! Great vibes. I've been here many times. Everything is delicious. Great addition to my neighborhood!!

Yelp
Ambiance and service were so good. Food was outstanding! The ribeye is huge and cooked to perfection. Also knocked it out of the park w the cheeseburger. Portions are very generous. Great cocktails. I love the margarita.

Yelp
The building and location are amazing. Staff was friendly. But the food is less than mediocre. Had calamari- it was fried fine, but that was it. They threw a few pickled jalapeño; no sauce. We could only choke down a few bites. Asked for cocktail sauce at least, only got tartar. We each got burgers, but nope they are the size of sliders; with a side of fries or a huge cereal bowl of coke slaw. WTF do not waste your time on this food.

Yelp
The food was amazing and came out in good time. The table got the Salmon entree, NY strip, and lobster salad. All the food was cooked perfectly and had agreeing flavors. The ambiance was great, cool design and had music that was not too loud.

Yelp
Nice cozy spot and great service. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Owner seems to genuinely care about the location and is very friendly.
