The 10 Best Hot Pot Restaurants In SF

"The finer details at The Pots in the Sunset are what make eating AYCE hot pot here a fantastic experience. For $35 per person, choose from a seemingly endless list of broths—including vegan and low-sodium options—and let the staff know if you need to adjust the spice level. Their mobile menu feels like a spell book as trays of meat and seafood are conjured up almost instantaneously after pressing “order.” Never get bored of your veggies thanks to a self-serve, farmers market-sized greens bar right next to a perpetually well-stocked sauce station. And while many hot pot places in the city throw in sodas and a scoop of ice cream for dessert, there’s yet another separate area with freshly squeezed tropical juices, Thai iced tea, churros and chocolates. Full bar with plenty of appetizer choices, sauce station and plenty of veges. However, the seafood selection and meat quality are not the best. Hope they can offer more decent quality meat selections in the future. Floor is sticky and little be slippery which is not really safe for a hot pot place and customers need to walk to the serving station which creates high traffic during peak hours.

Had an awesome experience at The Pots in SF! Kevin and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—Kevin especially made me feel right at home and took great care of me throughout the meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and seriously delicious. Everything from the broth to the sauces to the meat and veggies hit the spot. Can’t wait to come back!

I love this place! I thought it was just an AYCE hotpot, but it is honestly like a buffet! They had so many great little appetizers like sesame balls, egg rolls, dumplings, and a curry tofu thing. There’s also free drinks (i.e. included in the AYCE $35 price you pay) in the fridge next to the appetizers section and we got some Thai tea and it was great (very sweet!)! They also have brownies for desert next to the hotpot ingredients section. AND you can order more things on from the QR code on the table! So at the end of our meal we also got some sweet fried dough. It was such a good way to end the meal. As for the hot pot options they have many different soup bases to choose from. They have hot pot ingredients on the counter by the back of the restaurant, but if you don’t see what you want you can also order on the menu from the QR code on the table. I was surprised to find they offered potato starch noodles here. I love how chewy those noodles are, but I don’t always find them at hot pot restaurants so I was so happy to see them here! The service was good. I don’t feel like we waited too long for our soup bases or meats. They also made sure to refill our soup pot when it was getting low. If you pay by cash it is slightly cheaper (get 10% off), but unfortunately none of us had cash on hand. Make sure you only take what you can eat; if you waste food you will get a $30 charge. And there is $5 charge if your party is 4 or less and you use a second pot. The inside of the restaurant is new and clean. The aesthetic is a mix of modern with warm wood accents. Parking: We managed to find street parking nearby after going around a few blocks

Google
Best hot pot place ever. Turned my husband who disliked hot pot into a fan. Very fresh ingredients, good selection of veggies, drinks, even some hot food while you wait. My kid likes the dessert choices. Good family spot. Gets quite busy on weekends and holidays.

Google
The best hot pot and the price is acceptable as well. Also, I met a Thai waiter who is really nice and friendly. He is one of the reasons my family wants to go back there. We decided to come here every other month 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Google
This is an awesome hotpot! Not only it is the place where all you can eat but all meats and veggies are fresh. I would recommend this place who love to eat meats and hot side dish!

Google
Lovely spot with many options and incredible service. Air, took care of us and has the best energy! Really appreciate that. There are many soup base options to pick from. Meat was great quality for the price! I like how you can pick your own veggies from their bar/buffet area. The sauces are fun to create. Very tasty! There are peanuts next to the sauces, that I loved btw, just be warned if you have an allergy. Their fruit tea was my favorite drink! It tasted like a sweet green tea with Jasmine and citrus with possibly lychee? I finished my meal with some sago, they also had some brownie bites. Absolutely awesome experience.

Google
Excellent hot pot. The customer service was very friendly and quick to remove our empty plates. The meat qualities were exceptional. We also loved being able to order food with our phone, but just the essentials, there is a nice Buffett to go up and grab vegetables, giblets, snails, tripe, noodles, sauce bar, even a nice $3 juice bar. Really enjoyed their special house sauce. They sauce bar had some super good choices. The soup broths were so delicious. Really clean bathroom. Just an overall top notch hot pot place!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! Solid 4 for me. My must haves for hot pot: good sauce bar, wagyu, veggies, quail egg, roe filled something and water to hydrate. This place checked off all the boxes :) We were seated immediately a late sprinkle night. I came with two friends who tried hotpot for the first time and they said it was really good. I liked the noodle selection, the way the bar was displayed and small things like the brownie bites and being able to grab our own water. I've tried 4-5 hotpot spots and this is an easy top 2 contender for me!

Yelp
Their $25 weekend lunch special definitely stands out, and is very worth it! Staff is so nice and helpful, and their bar food options are standard for hotpot. I'd say their meat quality is better than most hot pot spots though! My favorite thing about The Pots is their ordering system, which allows multiple individuals in your party to add to the order at once, on their own devices. All ayce spots should adapt this system!

Yelp
First hot pot experience and as a vegetarian, was really satisfied with multiple vegetarian broths and options! Around $45 per person all you can eat and drink (from their homemade drink selection, not alcoholic). We made a reservation for a large party via email ahead of time, and the staff was very flexible when we changed numbers last minute. The interior is really bright and roomy - good for larger parties (though walk in May require a wait), and near full at 6 pm on a Friday). The person who emailed me came over to introduce himself and explain the hot pot experience, which was super helpful!! Our group ordered the curry soup (which my friend described as soup from Maggi noodles) and kimchi soup, both of which were strong and well-flavored even as water refills were poured. It was so much fun grabbing a huge variety of toppings/vegetables (mushroom, lotus root, napa cabbage), and they also had soft tofu / beyond meat dumplings to order! The staff came around often to refill the pot, and we could grab free drinks (including homemade Thai tea and iced lychee tea, both of which were very refreshing) as often as we wanted. Give its all you can eat, they are mindful and charge for waste so keep that in mind as you grab food!! Also, there is a little potential for contamination between some of the meat and vegetarian toppings given that people can share utensils to grab them (though people seemed to try not to). Loved the buffet and left fully stuffed/satiated (perfect after a day spent playing sports at Golden Gate Park :))

Yelp
Wow! My new favorite hot pot place AYCE. Lealani our server was so attentive and a joy! She always checked in on us and her light energy really uplifted our evening. She was knowledgeable on allergies and checked on gluten free items for me. I appreciated her thoroughness. Others always checked in on us too when passing by which I loved. The interior was super clean and nicely decorated. I loved all of the options for our hot pot and the meat was super fresh! Everything was so tasty and the options were endless. I really enjoyed the teas as well and my friend liked all the desserts. I now will take all my friends here even though I live an hour away. This was truly a great experience and my new favorite hot pot place!! Would recommend.

Yelp
Came back during lunch, which is a steal at $25/pp AYCE. The wait person confirmed they do have msg in their broths, but less in the miso and pork broths. I didn't drink the soup this time, so my msg allergies (numb tongue) lessened though still existed 5 hours later. Very clean and open space. Lunches will charge an additional $3/pitcher drink in fridge vs. gratis for dinners.

Yelp
This is actually my new favorite AYCE hotpot spot in SF! It's immaculately clean, good quality selection, good service, and a huge variety of foods (appetizers, drinks, and desserts)!! I feel like other AYCE spots have a lot of quantity, but the quality is lacking. The Pots has really high quality meats (not frozen), drinks (not too sweet and taste natural), and veg/seafood selection. The service is very prompt and it wasn't packed at all for dinner service! I also loved the portion size of each order, as it's small and very reasonable (less waste)! There's tons of tables, and you order with QR for stuff not in the buffet. There's a 10% discount if you pay with cash. I'll definitely be back again.

Yelp
An AYCE hot pot place where they offer a very good meat selection. I came here with a group of 6 and unfortunately, my friend tried calling ahead of time in the week to try to make a reservation, but couldn't get through to anyone. We waited about 30-40 minutes to get seated on a Saturday night. Upon entering, you can see that there is a lot of places to sit so I can see why the line went by very fast. Eating time is 90 minutes upon seating so be aware of that. When ordering, you have to do the QR code and you can reorder every 5 minutes. Be aware there is a charge if you do not finish all the food when leaving. I like that they had a variety of sauces to choose and mix from. They do offer a huge variety of vegetables and meats. This was a reason why we chose this place because one of our friends is a vegetarian. Service was okay. I would say that where you get your vegetables and sauces, you get your cups for your drinks and also they have "pitchers" of drinks in the fridge to grab for your table. Would come here again

Yelp
Our first time here and the waitress was super kind and helpful helping us understand how to order and where to grab everything. The place is clean and bright and the selection at the bar is amazing! So many options of veggies, sides, and sauces. Once we got the meat everything tasted amazing together and it was perfect for the rainy day. They also have additional sides for purchase on the order page. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Came here for thanksgiving. Customer service is really good and attentive. I love how they have an unlimited table of food you can easily grab like pre made dishes or drinks or veggies. The meats were also very good quality and for $33? A person I think this place is very worth it.

Yelp
FOOD: Good hot pot and I'm specifically writing this review to recommend ordering the crispy mantou dessert towards the end of your meal. It's better than mantou at other places! It comes out perfectly crispy and warm. My hubby doesn't like sweets but even he looks forward to it :) SERVICE: I don't know his name but the server here is incredibly friendly and makes you feel really welcome and like a long lost friend, even after just two visits. :) AMBIANCE: Clean, open, organized sauce and veggie area.

Yelp
Stopped by because my friend recommended this place because of its affordability and quality and I can say that for the price you're paying, it's really good. The quality of the food was really good, perfect ratio of fat with the meat, and there's no freezer burn taste that some places have. I would say the pork was better quality than the beef but it was still good. The service here was top notch. The waiter was always checking up on us but not in an annoying way and he was also attentive on all the tables. When we would just finish the plate of meat, the waiter would immediately come and pick up the plate to take away. The seating areas were very clean along with the bathrooms. I love the interior since a lot of the natural light shines into the restaurant. It was overall a great experience and it was super affordable.

Yelp
OMG THE BEST HOT POT SPOT IN SF! They serve wagyu and are very generous with portions. Love their drinks and sauce bar. Ambiance is nice and cozy. Cannot wait to make this one of our regular spots! Keep serving wagyu!!

Yelp
I LOVE this place. It is, without a doubt, the best VALUE AYCE hot pot place in SF. At only $25/person for lunch, the quality of the meat here well surpassed my expectations. The meat was definitely not cheap at all, and my favorite was their Wagyu Beef. Everything was very juicy, tender, and the Tonkotsu broth that we got was extremely flavorful. They also have a healthy portion of sauces, noodles, seafood, and additional sides to choose from, and even some brownies for dessert. The interior of the restaurant was also very clean, modern, and pretty upscale for what you're paying. Honestly, this is probably my new favorite Hot Pot place in SF just because of the insane value. Plus, the servers are very friendly and loved engagement with their customers. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite AYCE place in the city! It's great how they have lunch pricing for weekends too which is so rare, and they also have a very reasonable bottomless drinks price too. Making a reservation was very easy but there also wasn't a wait when we went on a Sunday late afternoon. You order everything through a QR code, and they have sauce bar and veggie/carbs/seafood up at the front too. Their chili oil is so good for sauces. The meats are really good quality too; nothing is too fatty. The service is really fast and servers are so kind too. Parking is pretty easy on the off streets too. Will definitely be returning!
google avatar

Alexis D.

Yelp
Went back here for the nth time and I just love how this place is so consistent! Buffet area is kept clean and organized, staff is always so friendly and efficient, and truly a bang for your buck! Great meat quality as usual. They also don't have the BBQ (satay) sauce at the sauce bar anymore so you would have to ask for it. Can't wait to come back!

Fatima G.

Yelp
Looking for the best hot pot spot in SF ? I came across this hole in the wall restaurant after attending the outside lands festival & OMG everything was amazing from the service to the food 10/10, Owner greeted and sat us even though it was 30 minutes before closing. There is an additional fee $$ if you don't finish your meal but that wasn't a problem for us as EVERYTHING WAS DEVOURED. It is self serve except for the meats you will have to order with a waiter. My suggestion would be the chicken broth it was FIREEE! i would def drive an hour + to try this place again.
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
Just amazing! The area is pretty big and they have a side room for karaoke and hot pot! The lunch all you can eat hot pot is priced very reasonably! I'm use to individual hot pot pots so this was fun and interesting to use a two part compartment! I got the traditional pork bone broth and my friend got the spicy miso. You order the meats from your phone and they are brought out to you. The serve your self station consisted of sauces, veggies, noodles, and seafood. They also offered little brownie bites for dessert. Highly recommended! It was delicious!
google avatar

Helena L.

Yelp
Awesome value ayce hot pot especially for lunch. We chose the single tonkotsu pot which was pretty well seasoned and not oily if you like that. You order your protein online which had all the basics. Plenty of noodle choices, with the fresh yellow noodle being my favorite. If you're looking for a hot pot that has all the essentials, this is a great spot to stop by. Fried mantou was like a carmelized donut! Service was good, though you'll probably need to ask if you want things faster. Casual neighborhood spot that can get busy
google avatar

Priyanka S.

Yelp
My oh my I love this hot pot place! For $37 all you can eat you also get a sauce bar, cooked appetizers, various juices and dessert. The broths are also absolutely delicious and can be split pot. When I went I got one tonkatsu base and one mala both of which were absolutely packed with flavor and perfect. The quality of the meat was also tender and fatty and I highly recommend the brisket and the lamb! You also have an entire seafood bar and veggie bar in which I loved the fish balls with roe and the shiitake mushrooms. Definitely check out The Pots!!
google avatar

Nina S.

Yelp
YUM!! My partner is vegetarian and I am not so it's usually difficult to go to hot spot places and for both of us to feel satisfied with our meal - this place hit the spot!! As soon as we walked in we were told it's a great spot for vegetarians and they proved us right! So many options that weren't just vegetables. Lots of noodles, tofu, dumplings AND the manager/owner (I think) brought us out additional veggie dumplings that weren't on the menu. We walked away full and happy! (My fiancé loved it so much he wants to come back once a month!)
google avatar

Iris H.

Yelp
Great quality and speed. Can benefit from a few more variety of meats but solid as is because the quality of meat is reliable. The veggie and snack bar is fresh and has a good variety as well. A fun place to grab hot pot with friends.
google avatar

Becky L.

Yelp
The best ayce hot pot in sf! I enjoyed their unique soup options, especially the Tom yum! Meats and veggies were fresh, pricing is very good (25 ish for lunch and 35 for dinner). Coming from a foodie myself, give this place a try!

Melanie P.

Yelp
A great spot for AYCE hot pot if you are in the area. They have a diverse selection of broths and items to add to your hot pot. Dishes such as dumplings and meats could be ordered via QR code and were delivered quickly. They frequently topped off our broth to ensure we had enough to cook our food. The restaurant felt a bit chilly for me even though we were eating hot pot. Plus, seeing how the employees diligently cleaned the pots after each meal shows the effort they put into ensuring they were ready and clean for the next customer.

Yelp
Visited with a big group of friends for Saturday lunch. I called ahead for a reservation, but honestly, it wasn't necessary since we came right when it opened, and it didn't get full until an hour or so later. The setup here is pretty standard for hot pot places--order your soups and meats, then hit up the bar area for sauces and other goodies. They had a pretty nice tasting signature sauce, which I used instead of creating my own. They have drinks in the fridge, some free and some costing $3 or so. If you want something off-menu, you should just ask. We were able to get black vinegar and tomato soup, and the server was super friendly and happy to help us. The soup and meat took a bit to get to our table, but then again, we got to the restaurant right when it opened. The meat was a step up in quality compared to other all-you-can-eat joints like Seapot, and they've got a solid range of ingredients to pick from. The mala soup didn't quite hit the spicy/flavorful mark we were hoping for, but it was decent enough. In the end, it came out to $25 per person for lunch, and we even got a 10% discount for paying in cash. Overall, this place is a pretty good deal for a satisfying all-you-can-eat experience.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
I have nothing bad to say, all around excellent. Food: -AYCE split hotpot -toppings and sauce bar -dumplings are delicious Logistics: -accepts cc -accepts reservation for large parties (30+) & can have own back room with karaoke -limited, street parking but can still find a spot within 2 blocks -service is AMAZING, the staff are so nice and engaging
google avatar

Madison N.

Yelp
Great deal for hot pot! Unlimited food for $35 (dinner price) per person which even includes rice, dumplings, ramen, udon, and veggies from the buffet area. They also have a beer pitchers and do bottomless beer/wine for $17 pp. Service is super fast (scan QR code at table) and everyone was very friendly. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I went here last month for the first time in about 5 years and was amazed to see how it has evolved over the past couple of years. The whole restaurant including its menu and ambiance has change with more of a modern vibe. When I came here 5 years ago, I would've given this place a 2/5 but after all these changes and revisiting this spot, I would give it more of a 3.5 to 4/5 What's unique is this ayce hot pot place has a different concept where you can refill your own veggies and certain items such as fish balls. I actually liked this concept but the only con is that we sat by the windows so the person that was seated on the outside always had to refill the veggies/sides since it's harder for the people who were seated on the inside to get out. To avoid this hassle, I'd recommend not getting seated by the corner window area. While veggies and certain sides were self serve, we had the opportunity to order our meats after scanning the QR code. The meat quality was pretty good and would rate it a 3.5-4/5. My group also enjoyed the wide array of broth options. I ordered the Tom yum and it was delicious though I wish it was a bit more sour. My sister in law is a vegetarian and they had a vegetarian option which was pretty cool too. The service was excellent. They were accommodating and attentive. Would recommend giving this restaurant another try if you haven't been here in years cause so much has changed!
google avatar

Shelly D.

Yelp
Great meat options! Pretty fresh, the snacks are a plus. Great service, modern inside. A bit pricey $38 pp, came out to be $50 pp after tax and tips We enjoy the meat options, specifically the lamb (lamb in beer) and wagyu in red wine. Felt that the meat quality was pretty good bc they weren't too dried after cooking (unlike some other places). Decent veggie and tofu product selections, along with meat balls and shrimp/fish paste. The snacks/appetizers were nice too. You self help for veggie, tofu, meatballs, etc. You can also get your own water and drinks ($3 per bottle) from the fridge. This was actually good bc you get faster service. Service was pretty good, pleasant staff and fast service as long as they see you (you might need to wave a bit, but they are more than happy to help). We ended the night with deep fried rice buns (also free!) for dessert.

Yelp
Came here with a group of 6 for dinner on Friday - called ahead to make a res, though it seemed not too busy after around 8pm. I've been to a few AYCE hot pot places in the Bay and usually don't feel like going back because of the quality and price but the Pots changed my mind!! There's a self serve ingredients bar for veggies, fish balls, seafood, noodles and some hot dishes. Everything was very clean and organized. A great variety of ingredients too! You order the broth and meat from the QR code on your table. Our group enjoyed the tonkatsu and mala spicy broths. The wagyu beef and brisket quality was a lot better than other AYCE places. I do wish we could each have our individual hot pot but other than this nit, I really enjoyed the dinner experience here. They were also nice enough to let us cut a cake for our friends birthday! $38/pp pre tax for Friday dinner 10% off if you pay in cash

Yelp
Might be my newest favorite hotpot in the city. Why the 4 star instead of 5, because I think the quality of the meat can be better and they only give you like 4 slices per plate. They need to add more to those plates but other than that, I love everything about THE POTS. My friend and I arrive shortly before 5:30 and there was maybe 2-3 parties before us. By the time we left on a rainy Thursday night, they had to open their second dining room. 2nd room was almost full too. Go early if you do not want to wait. You can choose between 1 to 2 broth for extra. My friend and I got two because I didn't want everything to be spicy. I love spicy but the mala is alot for me. Maybe the day I went was extra spicy but yeah, I had to scoop out all the pepper before using it. I like the miso, next time I would get the spicy miso instead. It's AYCE therefore you can order most of the stuff on the ordering page. But they have a huge selection of items from cook to raw near the kitchen area. It's hot pot dream for me. They have everything I want for hotpot and more. They also have fried baos with condensed milk for dessert. Makes me so happy. The staff was really nice too. I just can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Great food! Very addictive and very clean too! The service is great! We will come back for more :)

Yelp
The food and service are amazing. This place is AYCE, and they have a bar that has all the veggies. Their sauce is probably the best sauce bar I've seen in the city, their house sauce is amazing. The service is always so great; servers are gracious and kind. Their churros and coconut milk with tapioca is also free and are amaizozoznfnfnfnfggggg. One con I will say is that when they are busy, it is hard for them to refill stuff like the vegetables and sauces.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
A great option for late night AYCE hot pot! There is a self-serve counter where you can get vegetables, noodles, appetizers, and drinks. For broths, meats, dumplings, seafood, and desserts, scan the QR code to order on the phone. If you pay with cash, there is a 10% discount, but even with the cash discount we paid around $44.60 per person with tax and tip. There is also a fee for a split pot, and our party ordered the pork bone broth and spicy miso. Both broths were decent, nothing extraordinary. The variety of food options available is great, including the meats and seafood options. I also liked how fresh all of the vegetables were. I also tried the pomegranate drink which got sweeter as I continued to drink it, but it was delicious! Although this place was a little pricey, I recommend trying at least once!

Yelp
What's not to love about AYCE Hot Pot? I have been going to The Pots for YEARS having discovered it just as the outdoor dining was being allowed during the pandemic. Sadly, I have been remiss in writing a review, but I plan to rectify that mistake now. Ambiance: plenty of tables and able to accommodate large group sizes. Bonus is they have mounted tvs, so if you like sports, you can often find a game on, which makes it so much more enjoyable than being crammed into a bar. QR codes are located on each table making ordering and reordering meats and ala carte items easy. There is a large fridge with containers of water and juice so there's no need to wait for anyone to bring it to you when you run out. Additionally, there's a long bar with hot appetizers, sauce bar, noodles, vegetables, and seafood and plates below to stock up on your favorite hot pot items. Broth: I've tried several of their broths, but my favorites are: coconut pork bone, chicken pho, kimchi, and miso. Proteins: quality meats abound. I'm allergic to beef, but the lamb and various pork and chicken options are perfect. They also have soft and iced tofu options that are great. They also have a variety of seafood and seafood balls, homemade shrimp paste (another fave), that are great in any of their broths. Dumplings: I LOVE that I can get dumplings with my hot pot! I don't think there are any other hot pot places that provides this. It's the best of all worlds and I've tried most of the dumplings which were flavorful with the right balance of skin and filling. Vegetables: lots of greens (standards like bok choy and napa definitely abound along with others my brain is blanking on); mushrooms, taro, squash... gotta love the veggies! Noodles: ramen, rice noodles, vermicelli, hand pulled, udon... you name it they very likely have it. I often battle between which noodles I want or if it'll end up being a rice kind of evening. Sauce bar: admittedly I don't really use the sauce bar. The broth is so good that I find I don't need any sauces. However, it is well stocked with nearly all the different items to make a delicious dipping sauce. Ala carte: the shrimp toast is AMAZING. If you like flavor, fried chinese donuts, and have lots of stomach space, this is definitely a must have. Fries and the chicken wings are also pretty delicious. Service: AMAZING. Each time I've visited, I've never had a bad experience. Service is quick and patient. Pricing: People complain that the prices went up, but for the amount, variety, and quality of food you get, this is an incredible steal. I will happily pay to keep this place around for as long as I'm in the neighborhood. Sidebar: I've also brought several friends to this restaurant who love food as much as I do and are also just as judgmental as I can be if things aren't great. They ALL loved it and one even plans to bring her friends over for a future birthday dinner. Highly recommend.

Yelp
AYCE for $35, which is pretty good deal. You order the meats with your phone, and they come out super fast. We got pork belly, wagyu beef (very nicely marbled), chicken heart, just to name a few of the meats. You can only get 5 at a time and they give you maybe 5-6 slices on a tray. The self serve bar has so much stuff for sauces, peanut, ponzo, soy sauce, cilantro, onions, etc. There is also a small hot section which has fish balls in sauce, gyoza, strawberry filled churros. Then they have fresh noodles (they have this in a small side bowl they they replenish when down), ramen noodles, kelp notes, wood ear mushroom, bok choy in the second area. The third area is all the fish balls, meatballs, snails, baby corn, etc. The fridge is also self serve, we didn't know if some of the fruit teas were complimentary, but they have some mango, thai tea, and a couple others in the plastic bottles. We got a tonkatsu and miso broth (honestly, they both kinda tasted the same after cooking everything). Not super crowded, but we did come on a Tuesday at around 8:30 and they closed at 10pm. Not very many restaurants around the area too, so it was nice and quiet.

Yelp
This place is so close to my house and honestly now in my top 3 fave hot pot spots for me! The workers are extremely nice and fun, even gave free soju on the house during NYE and their service in getting the food is super easy with their QR code. Only critique I'd have is some of their napa cabbages are a bit too large in size to eat. If they were to cut it in thirds or even in half it would be super helpful and more convenient to eat because given the fact that they're so hot in the broth I know if I try eating it it's going to burn my mouth and just ruin my makeup lol. But besides that, this place is amazing! Definitely recommend and will come back again

Yelp
- very clean and modern interior, it may look small, but there are extra tables in the back - had a reservation for ~10 people and they let us sit and order before our entire party had arrived - service was pretty fast, and they were super sweet!! they kept encouraging us to order more which i have never seen at an ayce place hahah we also stayed until closing and they didn't kick us or any of the other tables out, even though they didn't look like they were close to being done with their meal - also bring cash for 10% off your order!! - scan the qr code and order everything online, and they'll bring it out to you - you can order one soup base, or pay an extra $5 to get a split pot. their selection was super extensive, we got the spicy miso which was a good level of salty and spicy! - extra veggies, fish balls, noodles, mushrooms, and even desserts are at the self serve bar - they also have an extensive sauce bar - grab water and other fruit juices at the fridge by the self serve bar. sodas are an extra charge. the fruit juices were really nice for refreshing my palate, and they all also tasted pretty good - the selection here was huge, if you're looking for variety make sure come check this place out. they had things from salted egg dumplings to churros to cheese fish balls, and everything tasted pretty good too. i normally don't think hot pot is worth it, but for the variety of items, quality, and great service, i definitely recommend the pots

Yelp
All you can eat hot pot for $35!!! Loved all the sides and drink selections. You can make your own sauce concoction and get all the vegetables and other sides yourself. You also order your meats through your phone. We got the miso and Vietnamese beef pho broth ($5 extra to split the soup). The broth had good flavor but it was very salty. Our favorite out of the meats was the beef brisket. Loved the service!! The staff was super nice and the service was fast. Also a discount if you pay with cash!

Yelp
I've got to keep it real here--it's decent. It's ok. I came in a group of 6, was seated promptly. We sat in the booth in the front by the window and were able to utilize 2 burners, thankfully (the table was pretty wide/spacious, and so unless you sat right in between the two burners, you wouldn't be able to reach the pot. Meat quality was ok; soup broth--I wish there was more flavor (We ordered a tonkotsu and spicy miso and they tasted the same pretty much); the sauce bar was decent and had the usuals/necessities (cilantro, minced garlic, onion, soy, sesame, chili oil, etc.). Went for lunch, price came out to be about ~$35ish per person after tax and tip. KEY INSIDER TIP: Pay with cash for the discount! I wish that they had used/offered longer chopsticks--we were given the short disposable wooden chopsticks, and was difficult to reach into the soup to fish for food. I also do have to note that one person in my party felt a bit of gastrointestinal distress the same day/day after and attributed it to the meal; everyone else in the party was fine!

Yelp
Pro Tip: Cash is king here. I think there is a small discount if you pay in cash instead of card. Solid AYCE hotpot in the Sunset. There is mobile ordering for most of the meats and frozen stuff to cook. There was a small buffet style area for you to grab fried foods and some veggies to cook. They had a small area for desserts as well. Came here on a random weeknight so it was not super crowded. There was a decent selection for soup broths. I ordered a spicy broth and my girlfriend got a pork bone broth. There was a small up-charge to have a split pot for soup bases.

Yelp
I've been to countless hot pot places and this place is by far the best! They have a buffet style set up that has a variety of excellent foods like appetizers, vegetables, noodles, seafood, beef and fish balls. They offer superior quality meats and other specialty items that can be easily ordered using a QR code or with the server. They also have the best tasting soup bases. If you like spicy I recommend the fire spicy mala and for non spicy get the tonkotsu. If you want top notch, high quality foods, fantastic service, and a happy belly then The Pots is for you!

Yelp
Unlimited drinks, meats, veggies and snacks. Probably one of the best hot pot in the Bay Area. Your first order of beef is marbled and melts in your mouth. Quality drops after the first round like most hot pot places but it's still good. You can go pick up snacks, veggies, drinks on your own. Definitely get the fried bun and some brownies for dessert. They also have a good selection of free drinks self service.

Yelp
First off this is the best and most friendly service I've ever experienced in San Francisco, the atmosphere is inviting and clean, great ambiance! And the food, oh. Em, gee! So fresh and lots of choices for veggies, proteins, seafood and even snails! Love this place! My favorite hot pot spot in the city! Don't waste your time with anywhere else, come here! Beautiful dinner or lunch spot right by the beach. So grateful for the meal and the amazing hospitality. Thank you

Yelp
For the $34.99 AYCE price tag, I suppose this place is ok because you get what you pay for. Honestly, the only thing fresh here are the veggies. Everything else is processed, prepacked frozen food, and tasted as such. That includes all the seafood, fish balls, etc. The meat dishes like chicken and the beef are ok though. I just wish they had a larger selection of foods to cook other than meat.

Yelp
Such a great and affordable hot pot option in SF! There are lots of items to choose from for proteins and broths, and theres even a self service bar with veggies, sauces, noodles, and even appetizer goodies! We ordered a lot of wagyu and lamb, but after trying all the protein options Id have to recommend the lamb in beer! We did have a bit of trouble ordering, as we input orders but a server also took our orders. We would receive some things we input ourselves but not all of them, and some items took multiple requests but never arrived. Servers also just drop your items at the end of the table with no alert or anything, so if you're with a group sit on the outside or pay attention when the servers run by!

Yelp
Friendly service and good food. $24.99 AYCE weekday lunch price. You order the meats through their QR website, and most other items are self serve. The self serve items were all very clean and fresh. Everything tasted great, but this place definitely lacks authenticity. Can't blame them because they consider themselves "asian fusion." My only wishes are that they add sesame oil to the sauce bar + soft tofu in the self serve area. Those are a must for me! There's also slight inconsistency when it comes to bringing out the food. For example, we ordered 4 lamb + 4 beef and only received 3 of each. Luckily we were too full by then to care.

Yelp
The Pots is a great location for AYCE hot pot LATE NIGHT since they are open until 10pm! Service was good although sometimes the meats came out a bit slow. If you pay in cash there is a 10% discount!! Even with the cash discount, we ended up paying $44.60 per person with tax and tip. I'm taking a star off for the steep price and the soup bases. We ordered spicy miso and pork bone broth. The spicy miso was maybe a 4/10 spice for me and had decent flavor, however the pork bone broth was just lacking in depth and flavor. Most everything is self-serve except for the meats, seafood, desserts and some dumplings which you scan and order on a QR code. There is a fee for split pot, but with the variety of veggies, meats, dumplings sauces and such, you really don't need it! The sauce bar was standard but nothing amazing. They had the essentials: soy sauce, green onion, cilantro, garlic and sesame sauce. They also had an assortment of noodles at the bar including a few rice noodles and udon noodles. Mushrooms were great! Wood ear, seafood mushrooms stood out :) Veggies were all fresh and nicely cut and prepped and had tong ho choy! They also had the roe fish balls which are always an 11/10 at hot pot. Meat quality was great, we ordered lamb and beef, but avoided the wine soaked and beer soaked ones. We weren't feeling that adventurous LOL. Overall, I think there are other AYCE and non-AYCE options that I would prefer over The Pots, however it was a good experience and I would recommend trying it at least once!
