Beloved Houston Restaurant Turkey Leg Hut Will Pop Up in Dallas Next Week | Eater Dallas

"A cult-favorite Houston restaurant, the Turkey Leg Hut is known for creatively stuffed turkey legs; I'm reporting it will pop up in Dallas next week outside The Potter’s House at 1270 Woodhaven Boulevard in Fort Worth from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 19–21. Co-owner Nakia Price said they’re excited to bring their signature menu to the Dallas–Fort Worth community and are grateful to The Potter’s House for hosting. The restaurant says it’s bringing 25,000 turkey legs, whose signature offering is a gigantic turkey leg stuffed with decadent fillings like Cajun crawfish mac and cheese or chicken alfredo, or doused in a sweet Hennessy glaze. Since debuting in Houston, the spot has earned fans such as Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, and Slim Thug, but it has also stirred controversy, including a neighborhood lawsuit alleging the Third Ward location blanketed neighbors with “noxious” smoke — a suit that was eventually dropped." - Amy McCarthy

I've been with this Church membership for over 10 years now our Pastors give a great journey of the Word. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I'm really thankful to be a part of this ministry that is growing and touching All levels of Ages. There's some time when my spirit is Heavy 😮‍💨 I can come there and Pastor is preaching right what I need without Me not even saying anything to Anyone about My situation that's how I know the spirit of the Lord is There 🙂🙌 Service starts at 9:00am and gets over around 10:40ish . Wednesday night Bible study Pastor Winfield teaches as well. our Church is a mixed Culture of People coming Together 😇Last it is So Important to give Your life to Jesus by asking JESUS to forgive you of your sins,Confessing by your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. You are Saved 🫵😇 Now praying and Reading the word of God daily will change your life and give you Wisdom and helping you with life situations through Our Creator. I have a study Bible I started in reading the Gospels first... Matthew Mark Luke and John . plus read Romans 10,9-11.😇🫂

UPDATE: The church actually read my review yall! Today I received a call from the Connections Leader Ms. Topaz. She got me connected with the church newsletter and text. I am definitely connected now! She even prayed for me and apologized that no one had reached back out to me. Ms. Topaz puts down a mighty prayer might I add. 🤗 She listened to me explain the reasoning behind my initial review and provided feedback and resolution. I truly appreciate the follow up and taking the time to listen. I cant wait to go back in the new year. Make sure you all check out the Fort Worth campus for Sunday worship! This campus is truly a hidden gem of greatness. _________________________________ I flew in from North Carolina this past summer to hear the dynamic preaching of Pastor Winfield. Although service was rather long the sermon was very powerful. Watching from home and being in person was a totally different experience. Before my visit I made sure to plan a visit as it says on the website. I received an email with next steps from the Connections leader to stop by the connections table after service for a welcome gift. I was running late for service and upon walking in the lobby it was quite and there was no one there to greet me. I seen the sermon on the television in the lobby and figured out I was suppose to enter the sanctuary. The lady at the door just look at me. I asked where do I sit and she just motioned for me to go sit down. Make sure to bring a jacket its very cold in the sanituary area. After service I walked around the lobby looking for the connections table and was unable to find it until I asked a staff member and they pointed out I was standing beside it the entire time. Talk about embrassing. The sign was very small and hidden. Once at the connections table the women were extremely nice and had bright smiling faces. I received my welcome gift which I thought was so cute. The book store was having a sale and it appeared that no one knew about it because I overheard everyone saying the bookstore has a sale with confusion. There were some great items in the bookstore but the wait was so long due to one register being down. The sales associate continued to thank everyone for their patience and keep everyone engaged in conversation as we waited in line. Overall everyone was very welcoming at the Potter's House. I really has bummed that I didnt get to meet Pastor Winfield and the rest of the leaders. Fast forward it's now October and I have not had any further communication with the church to keep me informed. It's disheartening because I really enjoyed the family like feel that the Fort Worth Potter's House provided during my visit. If you're in the Fort Worth area make sure to check out The Potter's House Fort Worth campus. This campus offers plenty opportunities to serve if you are looking for a church home.

We absolutely love the back to school event that the Potter's House hosted on July 19th 2025. We truly enjoyed it all. We will be back this Sunday for a true Potter's House Worship. Thanks for having such a enjoyable event and staff.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for awhile now. So, when I ran into my friend, Tasha and she told me she goes the Potter's House. I asked, if I could tag a long. So, I did. It was an amazing experience! Let's get the review on! First of all, it is easy to get to. It's right off I-30 and close to the Channel 11 station. There's a parking team member ready to direct you to your parking spot, an enthusiastic greeter at the door and when you walk it, it takes you breath away. It' so large in size! Everyone is super nice there. Several people came up to me and shook my hand. They have a Male and Female Worship leaders. The female worship pastor was really crying out to the Lord. The Male Worship leader paused his song to tell us something that was on his heart. He told us how he was compelled to help someone along the side of the road. He encouraged us to do the same, in any way we can. Later, I saw him praying over the seats. So glad to see the Male Worship Leader filled w the Holy Spirit. Pastor Winfield was on point. He spoke about the Call to maturity referencing Joshua 1:1-9. He emphasized how God would be with us step by step. Let me tell you, it was nothing like the New Kids on the Block song, Step by Step. Lol. It was more like God gives us all promises. We have to turn our burdens into blessings. God gives us a purpose. He will direct our steps and his gives us provision. All is welcome in the Potter's House. There's a Janet Jackson look alike, a Macy Gray look alike and a Uncle Phil look alike. Lol. Well, enough said. I think Bishop T.D Jake's would be happy with the Potter's House Fort Worth for reasons mentioned above.

Yelp
A church that is truly in the community - that is what you get at The Potters House of Fort Worth (TPHFW). Up Front: This isn't the home church of Bishop TD Jakes They don't satellite in services from Bishop They have a business office on the side facing 30 This is the location for the first Saturday mobile food pantry Like I said, they don't satellite in Bishop's sermon..They have an incredible Pastor in Patrick Winfield. I truly appreciate his educational preaching style. This is a non-denominational church, with 2 services. A 9AM and an 11:30. Each service starts with about an hour of praise and worship, announcements and offering. Then the sermon is delivered, followed by alter call and a final message. The 9AM usually ends about 11:10 and the 11:30 about 1. This church is great about doing great works in the community, and furthering the vision of the founder Bishop TD Jakes, without being a Mega Church. I would recommend to anyone seeking a contemporary, lively, non-denominational service.

Yelp
I enjoyed the service from beginning to end. I only wish that the greeters were more engaging. They speak but don't inquire if you need assistance so i felt like I was left to just following the crowd. There was no on directing which doors to use to enter the sanctuary. Parking was good and easy to navigate and again service was spirit-filled and enjoyable
