I’ve been here a few times, but never ordered food. I met the owner, Matthew, last time I was in and he was very welcoming and kind. He recommended I try one of the pizzas. I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a fan of most pizzas and rarely order it, but several people at the bar were insisting it was the best pizza they’ve ever had, so I ordered a small bruschetta. When I tell you, this was not only one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, but one of the best bruschettas I’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients, thin crust… everything was so tasty and delicious. I saved half and was not expecting it to be as good the next day, but a quick few minutes in the air fryer and it was back to perfection! Can’t wait to go back and try the entire list of pizzas!!

Google
My wife and I stopped in today by chance for lunch. Service was great and friendly as well as good food. Highly recommend.

Google
Great place! Out of town visitors, googled bars and brought us here. Friday day drinkers, regulars I think, friendly. Gave great recommendations. Drinks were reasonably priced, had cheese sticks and queso fondido for appetizers. I was surprised queso was ground beef and not chorizo. Ok would return.

Google
Chill, low key atmosphere and a really great bar overall. We had a bartender named Amber who gave us awesome customer service and was really fun. We had the “Lakewood” pizza and it was AMAZING!!!! 11 out of 10 recommendation for food, drinks, service, and overall experience. I’ll for sure be coming back.

Google
The food was unique and delicious...a nice surprise. The service was exceptional by our waiter last Saturday! The TVs were a tad loud for a memorial but after all, it is a sports bar!! Thanks for helping us make great memories!

Google
This place has an amazing friendly vibe, very big on customer service. I’m new to town and wandered in here, and met so many cool folks. Pizza is the best in Dallas. Each ingredient is extremely fresh. Probably cut up moments before cooking. It’s worth a trip! 5 stars!

Went for the 1st time during the ncaa championship Monday, and was greeted right on the spot by the bartender when I got to the bar, drink was a good price and food was good. I see how the whole state roots for a team from Texas now.

Google
This place was quite a pleasant surprise. Had a meeting in Dallas and ppped in for lunch to grab a sandwich and a beer because it was close by. My beer was ice cold, and my club sandwich tasted like it was prepared by a chef. Come on man, it was just a club sandwich at a bar & grill...I know, I know. That's what I thought when I ordered it. I wish I could have eaten it all, but it was huge and delicious. You can bet I will be back there if I'm ever in that part of Dallas again.

Yelp
This place is just what it wants to be and just what you are looking for if you are looking here. Friendly and attentive service; lots of TV's from every viewpoint and great bar food from burgers and tots to pizza. If you're looking for something else then there are plenty of other fancy spots for you, but if you're looking for a great neighborhood divey-sports bar with an easy, laid back yet welcome vibe, this is where you should go! We will again!

Anne V.

Yelp
This place is not fancy but what they lack in posh, they make up for in food and personality. I've seen the mixed reviews and all I can say is come for yourself. The owner has a dry sense of humor and can easily be taken the wrong way but since he recognizes us, he is solid. The other wait staff and wonderful as well. The burgers are great and the tacos are so stupid simple, they are really good. I read a bad review about them and had to laugh cause I love 'em. It's a great place to hang out and drink a couple of beers. There is always a game on and if you're there early enough the 80's tunes are playing and the TV's are muted. It's a mom and pop so they may not always be able to honor their hours, kitchen times or have all ingredients all the time but they do the best they can and are up front about what's not available.

Brian F.

Yelp
I want to like this place. It's got a good neighborhood bar feel. Was there on Saturday. Wait staff was attentive and pleasant. I ordered a veggie burger and they brought me a burger made with a cheap frozen beef patty. The texture was unmistakable. Note to the management: if someone specifically orders something that is supposed to be vegetarian, DO NOT bring them meat.

Jeanette O.

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar!! Drinks are made well and it's a nice low key place to grab drinks.

Kris V.

Yelp
AWESOME NEIGHBORHOOD BAR!!!!I love this place. Excellent food as well! Service is very friendly and attentive.

Andrea J.

Yelp
Solid place to watch sports! Plenty of TVs, nice staff, good beer selection. I have tried much of the food but I can definitely recommend the tater tots!! Crispy and warm perfection.

Berri A.

Yelp
Hello Yelpers and Yelpetts! I have been in here a few times and given the Pour House a few tries. Unfortunately they are a consist are fail. The service is sub par, it's as if you are an after thought. The food can me stomached if you are as far away from the bathrooms as all you can smell is sewage. Take your feet and walk down the street to another sunny side of the restaurant street. (There are several other options around the area around the Pour House.) Happy adventures. Peace Out.

Kristie A.

Yelp
Poor Pour House. I have not really been here many times, and not sure why. It's a pretty perfect Kristie bar. They have so many TV's so it was perfect for watching MNF last night. It's just very loud so don't go to have conversations with your friends, but it's football you shouldn't be talking anyway. I ordered the Lakewood burger which has Muenster cheese and sourdough bread. It was great. The bread was huge as well as the hamburger patty, but the bread was so fresh it was easy to push it all together to shove it in your mouth. I ordered regular tots with my burger. The loaded are way better dipped in ranch, duh... I had some of my friend's meaty queso with chips and that was some of the best queso I have had in a long time. Our poor Pour House waitress was the only one working last night alongside one bartender. That was poor Pour House (sorry once I started I can't stop) planning. The place was packed. I was pretty lucky to never have an empty drink, but a lot of my friends sat without drinks and one of my friends had a tray of beer dropped on her back. Shit happens for sure and we all felt bad for the waitress. I definitely want to come back and try more of their burgers or try some of the pizza that comes from the place next door. Yums.

Nubia A.

Yelp
Service was poor. Watched the bartender cough in her hand and didnt wash them then proceeded to serve drinks. The $1.50 Thursday taco special not great. The tacos were greasy and tasted like plane hamburger. Thus was my first, and last visit

Dan P.

Yelp
I normally do not review, but I feel that I have to share my experience. The food was amazing! The owner came to our table and he was wonderful and shared his knowledge of the dishes he prepared. Highly recommend for a good meal...

J J.

Yelp
Wife and I went there on Cinco de Mayo hoping to watch the Stars game and have a nice night. Long story short, the bartender that night had kind of an insulting sense of humor and so we left after 1 beer. Really don't like this place. Guaranteed never going back.

Britt D.

Yelp
Kept waiting for John Taffer to walk in the door. Tried to order food at 8:30 and was denied because they said the kitchen leaves at 9 and I guess they leave early? Also the sound system is insanely loud. Maybe 15-20 people in the whole place and the TV sound was BLARING. I asked if they could turn it down a bit to the waitress and her response was "he's not going to turn it down, he's super weird about the sound system" very odd. Had to step outside during half time to get some rest for my ears. Overall not the worst just a bizarre way to run a bar.

Michael M.

Yelp
Pathetic service. I asked if I could order food and the waitress told me that as long as it was before 9:00 p.m. that would be fine. I pointed out that it was 8:55 p.m. and that accordingly, I would like a small pizza. She then informed me that the kitchen was closed even though it was not 9:00 p.m. What a load of utter nonsense! Is your food cut off 9:00 p.m.? 8:55 p.m.? 7:00 p.m.? Or, some other arbitrary time? Pick a definitive time and live by it.

Steve S.

Yelp
Stopped here for a beer and a pizza tonight, and the service, beer, and pie were excellent. Overall, this is an excellent neighborhood bar. Pour House, I shall return.

Kaia V.

Yelp
Things to note: 21 and over, so don't bring your kids or any other young'ns! Also, they have a huge parking lot behind the restaurant that you can access through a driveway between the building and the next, so don't be worried if the lot on Skillman looks full. The major appeal of the Pour House is, as Chris E. rightly points out, the tots. They are delicious, seriously. The large salads are pretty huge, and the chicken add-on for $2 is a good value (it real chicken, not the bag-o-strips bullshit). They also offer a bunch of burgers and one veggie burger option. Didn't see any chicken or other types of 'burgers', though they do offer a grilled cheese. The interior is divided up in a kind of funky way, with a half wall separating the bar from the table seating, of which there isn't much. They have a few standing video games, and a full bar selection, in addition to a few projector screens for watching sporting events.

Ali B.

Yelp
The only reason why I ever go here is if I need food after its pretty late. This is a neighborhood place so when someone (like myself) that isn't a regular walks in people look at you as if you don't belong. No worries. I can handle looks from curious creatures. I also don't need to be "pour"ed over by servers of any sort; however the bar tender kept her back to us and and after saying "ma'am" politely three times I started to believe I was inconveniencing her. It was weird. I have since returned and they gentleman that was bartending was friendly with good service. The stuffed peppers are weird, spicy and not good. The batter has oats? I'll only go back if I'm super hungry and it's too late to go ANYWHERE else.

Brad J.

Yelp
Solid dive bar in a good location. The tacos there are great. I ordered nachos once and they came out a little cold but the waitress took care of if and they were really good afterwards. It's best to go here with a group of friends when you start the night out. It's a good place to grab some tasty bar food and grab some drinks. I wouldn't recommend it for a date or dinner with family. I just moved to the area and I always like to find a nice chill bar nearby for nights I just want to hang out and have a beer.

André R.

Yelp
The Pour House is a nice place near downtown in Lakewood to get a good drink. It will remind you a whole lot of Cheers the TV show, it's a place were regulars come in and what their whistles. The beer drink selection is good, although my rum and Cokes are a bit flat and can use a little bit more alcohol. The food is also so-so but there are other places to go to get a good meal. The chips and queso with meat was very underwhelming. They just dumped a bunch of under-seasoned hamburger meat on top of some average queso. You're better off just getting a regular order of queso and enjoying your drink. Overall, This is a good spot and I'd recommend it.

Lauren V.

Yelp
This is an awesome neighborhood bar. Great staff, all the TVs you could want (even on the covered patio) and even though their food was delicious before, the new menu is just fantastic. I like my burgers med rare and I have never had one come out overcooked. Perfectly frosty beers and amply poured drinks. Dogs welcome on the patio too, bonus! And nooooo, I'm not biased because I live within walking distance. I'm biased because I live within stumbling distance. Duh.

Noneofyourbusiness F.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Appropriately priced cocktails. Great location and atmosphere. Not pretentious at all.

Chris E.

Yelp
Wanted to update my 2008 review. Happy to confirm it still stands! I can't say enough good things about Pourhouse. Locally owned by two guys (I believe), one of whom is super friendly and one of whom is a little bit surly, but in a good way. Its kinda funny--he actually seems to be really cool. Anyway, the tots are still the standout star of the show in my opinion, plus all of their food is just really excellent. When speaking of Lakewood, people seem to mention Cosmos or Landing more than Pourhouse, so maybe it is kind of a dark horse. Don't miss it! As the regulars know, it is a great venue for watching games and when games aren't on, it is a perfect neighborhood watering hole. BONUS: if it isn't on the table, ask for a bottle of their special Pourhouse hot sauce for those tots. They may even sell you a bottle if you ask!

Jaki S.

Yelp
I love a place that doesn't allow kids after 7:00. Large and plenty of TVs to watch the game. Deep eddy on draft served at a perfect temperature. Yum! I'll be back this Saturday for service industry night.

Whitney G.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went into this bar next door to the delicious Mexican restaurant after eating which I highly recommend. We weren't even acknowledged in the bar for about 10 min, when the server finally came over and was blunt and rude. I am 26 years old with an Oklahoma license, and she refused to serve me because "she has the right to deny a license as a TABC server" aka she has never seen an Oklahoma license or "out of state" license before. They don't have a drivers license scanner and aren't competent she refused to serve me. Horrible service.

Carolyn A.

Yelp
I've never been here for a game. For dinner after work, it's pretty empty and quiet. A perfect neighborhood bar -- a little dark, lots of muted TVs, and no one under 21. A typical dinner of beer, pizza, and beer have been consistently good and relatively quick to arrive. The service has been efficient. I'll have to keep the recommendations for tots and salad in mind for the next time I visit.

Dena F.

Yelp
Met some mom-type friends here for some evening drinking. And don't get me wrong, because we are mom's does not mean we are not cool or going for our pro status when it comes to tipping a few back. Mom's are the best drinkers in the world--we have to be. I had a margarita. It's on the menu with a little box around it so it must be okay. It was okay. $10.29 each okay. No wonder they didn't have a price next to it. It was kinda like a speed trap with booze, don't know until it's too late to stop. Waitress was not pleasant. The place was a ghost town at 10 p.m. on a Saturday night and she barely checked on us. I would have mistakenly drank more if she'd have come by a few more times. I did not order food. My cohorts did and it looked okay, however they were unimpressed. There's a lot of bars that serve good food, have a nice beer selection and super friendly folks. I try to support the tried and true locals when I can, but the Pour House is making it hard.

Ray F.

Yelp
GREAT Pizza, cold beer and enough TVs to see the game. Good staff and the crowd is quite interesting and friendly. Always good to have a back up pub and this one is now mine. Did I mention the food is really good?

joanna g.

Yelp
Best kept secret in Lakewood. Best brunch around, great service and a overall just a local spot you can't help but keep coming back to.

Angelica N.

Yelp
As far as bars go, this one's pretty dumpy. I'd call it a dive, but most dive bars have personality, and this one needs a good dose of it. The inside is pretty drab, except for your obligatory metal beer signs and the TVs. Perhaps the place could use a paint job, or something to make it look alive. My friends and I sat down at a booth and ordered some beers. She goofed on one order, though, and brought my friend a Guinness when he repeated his order twice for a Fat Tire. Two out of three ain't bad, I suppose. My two friends ordered wings, which were on special for $.25 each. I don't eat anything on the bone, so I refrained. The order took an unusually long time to come out, and then the waitress brought out an order of chicken fajita nachos and started setting it on our table. My friends looked confused and repeated to her that they had ordered wings, not nachos. The gal said, "I could have sworn I put in an order for wings", and even had to ask again if we were sure we hadn't ordered nachos. The bar was far from busy, so I was a little surprised that she managed to get that wrong too. She took the nachos back to the kitchen and came back about seven minutes later with the wings. Both of my friends asked for blue cheese dressing as well, but only one of them got it. The other got ranch. I hope this was the waitress's first day, because her memory was obviously not serving her well. But at least she wasn't rude. That, and the bar had Amstel. That merits an extra star in my book. Nonetheless, I think I'll pass next time.

Yelp
The pour house is a small little bar perfect for SNF, MNF, and some brewskis! JR and I came for MNF and sat at the bar where Tim, the bartender served us. Tim was very attentive and had our orders right away. We ordered some brews and appetizers, but the food is where pour house lacks. We ordered the fried appetizer sampler (which only allows u to choose up to three in a sampler, between fried onion rings, fried mozzarella sticks & fried pickles) so we chose the fried pickles and mozz sticks. Fried pickles were thinly sliced with a super crispy batter but waaaaay too salty. I couldn't tell if it was the batter or the pickle in itself so I ate it separately and sure enough, both the batter and pickle were overly salted. Couldn't finish them. Fried mozz were really good with the marinara sauce but the two of these together was not worth the $$... I believe $8.50? Next, we ordered the chips & queso (with no meat). Queso was "okay" but again, overly priced. Would I come back for more brewskis and jameson & sprites? Probably! But definitely not for the food. But what's football without some appetizers to go with the perfect drink? PS, the bathroom soap in the women's bathroom is in the Purell hand SANITIZER dispenser!!!! I was about to have a fit because I was thinking, wow.. This bar seriously doesn't have hand soap??! Disgusting!! So I thought, the next best thing is this hand sanitizer..... But it happened to be soap. Lol

Annie N.

Yelp
A pretty low-key spot. Casual. Many of the locals drink here. Feels slightly like a sports bar and that everyone seems to know everybody. Friendly. -it's not my preference honestly. I thought I give it a try since I'm in the neighborhood.

Devin F.

Yelp
Let tge shock and awww happen. Dive pub in appearence with All the TVs. Then we decided to order the pizza!!!! What a gem! It was really very good. Don't let sports bar fool you ! Order the food!!!! AND amazing line up on the taps.

Brian D.

Yelp
I've only been once with a group of buddies looking to watch a game and have some drinks. With that intent in mind, this place satisfies both those needs in spades. -Decent to good beer selection -We were there Tuesday, and it was $7.75 Ribeye Night. If I were to eat a broad selection of sub $8 ribeyes, I think this one would be a lock for front runner. -Chris E. also nailed it, they do have great tots and fried pickles, definitely worth a try

Geoff W.

Yelp
VERY UNFRIENDLY REGULARS I didn't even order a drink. It's New Years Day (night.) My family and I were in town from Austin for the Winter Classic (outdoor NHL hockey game at the Cotton Bowl.) Everyone fell asleep after we got back to our Air BNB down the street from this bar so I walked over for a beverage. I was one of four people at the bar when I sat down. The bartender was conversing with the couple to my right who were wearing (NHL) Dallas Stars gear. The lady to my right and the bartender clearly knew each other. I took the opportunity presented by a break in their conversation to ask the lady next to me if they had gone to the game in the hopes of striking up a conversation with some fellow hockey fans as we are pretty rare this far south of Canada. Instead of being friendly she chose to be rude and condescending. She was a 'see - you - in - tee.' The bartender chuckled at her rudeness and I realized my business wasn't going to be appreciated so I took it down the street. I'm very glad I did as BuzzBrews has an excellent draft beer and scotch selection.

Michael N.

Yelp
met friends here for a UT game. The ambiance was cool for this venue activity. decent bar food. busy yet staff very attentive. would join friends but not a place I see myself hanging in all the time.

Alicia R.

Yelp
Great food, great service, always a lot of fun without the hassle of uptown, etc. Great neighborhood bar. Haven't tried the veggie burger or the diet cola...can honestly say that other menu items here are great! Some of the best bar food specials around. And yes, the owners regularly work so if there is a problem, they care and will help fix whatever issues there are! Two thumbs up (and a smile)!

Robert C.

Yelp
The Pour House is my favorite place to watch a ball game in Dallas. They have plenty of TVs including two large projections to enjoy your favorite sporting event. They also have a nice patio outside (a rarity in Lakewood for some strange reason) also with a tv and a cover. The food here is great. I usually get the burger and fries which are consistently high quality. I've also had the tacos and just about every appetizer on the menu. The jalapeno poppers are awesome but beware, they are hot! The staff is always friendly, fast and efficient - ready with a cold beer when you've finished your last one! I really recommend the Pour House if you're looking for cold beer, good burgers and your favorite ball team!

Kim H.

Yelp
This is a perfect place to watch sports (4 projector screens and so many TV's I lost track of the count), BUT BEWARE if you walk in and see one server you are better off going somewhere else. This place could easily be a 4 or 5 star place, but the service Sunday (9/11) for the first Cowboy game/football Sunday of the year was deplorable. The Pour House was packed inside and outside on the patio, and to serve everyone (food and drinks) they had one bartender and one server to satisfy everyone. Poor Elise (the server) she couldn't keep up with food or drink orders nor could she remember what drinks were ordered by what table. She frequently delivered the wrong food/drinks to the incorrect tables. I asked for water 6 times before finally getting my cup refilled. Things were being dropped, spilled, and broken due to the inefficiencies of not having enough staff to accommodate the crowd. I felt bad for both ladies working! I know they were doing their best, but it also meant cutting corners to get the job done. Case in point: we ordered chicken tacos and the BC burger with grilled chicken instead of beef. I didn't try the BC burger, but I ate the fries and they are really good. Crispy, fresh cut skinny fries. . .and you can't go wrong with the tots here either. My chicken tacos were set in front of me and honestly I laughed. We waited 30 minutes on our food and when my tacos were delivered to the table. . . .two of the tacos had broken/missing shells and I couldn't find the chicken. Most of the taco was filled with cheese and I asked for no cheese. I asked that it please be taken off my bill to which Elise obliged. She was very nice about it and said she understood. A couple minutes later, she arrived at the table asking what she could do to replace my meal, so I ordered wings (original flavor). I really enjoyed the wings here and the flavor was spot on!!! The sauce was spicy and gave that kick you expect in wings without being overpowering or unbearable to eat. The wings are a good size too. I have had the pizza here too-- it is great! Comes from next door (My Family's Pizza), and I was told it is owned by the same guys that own the Pour House. They have lots of toppings and flavor combos for the pizzas!!!! Wheat and gluten free crust (the gluten free crust only comes in 10", bummer!) And dairy free cheese. WOW-- they really thought of everything on the pizza end!!! Though they have gluten free pizza crust, DO NOT EXPECT that for burgers, sandwiches, etc. NO GLUTEN FREE BUNS FOR BURGERS/SANDWICHES. Overall, the service was terrible on Sunday. I saw many patrons walk out, "give up" and leave, etc. I will add that my bill was comped due to the fact that everything went wrong with our visit (food, drinks, service, etc). I still gave Elise a nice tip because I thought she was doing her best with the situation at hand (she was the only server with a packed house).

Brittany V.

Yelp
I drove in from Houston and stopped here quickly to use their restroom. I offered to buy a beer but the bartender was super nice and told me not to worry. I decided to come back later that day to watch the football game and give them my business. When I returned the guy I saw earlier was no longer there. I sat at the bar and ordered a gin and tonic and got the food menu. I realized the bartender poured soda, not tonic in my drink. I let one of the waitresses know, and she relayed the message, came back and said the bartender will be making me another. I waited 15 min as she blatantly ignored me and waited on the only 3 other people there. Never even offered to take my order. I ended up asking for my tab and paid for my drink and left to go catch the game somewhere else.

Shannon R.

Yelp
They have great wings for only 10 cents on Wednesdays. Great place to watch a game too. Tons of TVs. No parking hassles and a friendly crowd and staff.

Regina B.

Yelp
Worst service we had i came to have good time have drinks and food but took 20 mins for for me to say hey we need to order drink

Ryan K.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and as one of the only Seahawks fans to come to this bar I have to say this place is great. They try and accommodate most requests for sports teams and with the the amount of TVs they usually have your team. Its good bar food and if you like thin crust Pizza, it's great! Great local bar for any sporting event or just for a drink.

Joshua G.

Yelp
Three of us stopped in for a pizza, we decided on the 'Maximus' in the 14" size. Along with an appetizer (10 Buffalo Wings) and was enough for all of us. Both the pizza and wings were delicious and well priced, but the beer prices seem to match the Lakewood area price range. We definitely want to return for another visit and try some of the burgers, and hopefully get the same great service we received tonight.

John S.

Yelp
Terrible. Tall blonde waitress stood there and did nothing. She served us once and never came back. Lakewood resident and I won't be back, ever.

Shay W.

Yelp
A great place to catch a Cowboys game. Bartenders keep the drinks coming and the burgers aren't terrible.

Mike M.

Yelp
As an avid sports fan, I am always looking for an intimate environment where the drinks and food are good, and the sports viewing options are plentiful. In the Pour House, I've found both. The owners/bartenders are very sports savvy and are more than happy to share their opinions on just about any sport out there. Maybe not badminton. There is a comfortable feeling when you walk in and after a couple of visits you are a recognizable regular and most likely they'll start your first beverage without having to ask. Regardless of your team affiliation, they will do their best to make sure your favorite team is playing on one of the many TVs. In short, I've found home base.

Mary N.

Yelp
a bar that would be more at home on greenville ave, not at skillman/live oak. service was decent, i could see the lakers/spurs game on any one of what seemed like hundreds of tv's. very unremarkable and i probably wouldn't go there on purpose again.

Bevin M.

Yelp
I love this place once it expanded into the space next door some time ago. Interesting beers and spirits on draught. Great patio with large TV screens. Patio is also dog friendly. Food is good- I like their onion rings and veggie burger. You can now order pizza from My Family's Pizza next door which is awesome. Even better, there are a LOT of vegetarian and vegan toppings offered. Love! Very casual place to watch a game or meet up with friends.

Jason R.

Yelp
I've given the Pour House chance after chance and I'm done with that place. They act like they are doing you a favor when you ask for something and they are right now advertising $2.00 hotdogs on Sundays and we got there and they said nope you have to buy chips with that and it's $4.50 now. The tall blonde bartender was completely rude yesterday and I have spent a lot of money in there and will never walk in there again.

Joseph F.

Yelp
This place was fun. I was here Saturday night to watch the game and they were packed, not much of a surprise given it's the Rangers and the game is the World series, to bad we lost that one in a bad way. They had a patio we sat on and it was enjoyable. I have two negatives but they don't really detract to much, 1) the entire place is small (inside and out), and 2) our server was really really slow and forgetful. These things won't stop me from coming back though. I had a lot of fun so I'll be giving it a second and maybe even a third try.
