The Pourhouse

Maybe I just don't get the vibe of this place, or I am not the target audience. The bartender was definitely a good guy, working his hardest to make customers happy, but one thing put me off completely, and it wasn't him. It was the complete lack of privacy in the men's room. God forbid you have the misfortune to have to defecate while enjoying the decent atmosphere and reasonable beer selection, and you enter the men's room only to find that there is no stall, and the door to the room itself has no lock whatsoever... I can only guess that there have previously been issues with the restroom being misused by previous patrons of this establishment, but I will make sure in the future, that I will only return for short visits.... with empty bowels....

In the process of moving to PA from the southwest, stopped by for a drink. Walking in, there are maybe 5 people in total including the bartender, and one patron and the bartender are shouting as loud as they can at a football game. Don’t get me wrong, I get enthusiasm and pride in gaming, but this was overkill. There is a strong diesel smell and engine noise, no one seems to care. Have my drinks, the bartender was nice enough, she just did not have any real interest in patrons, as she was heavily focused on the game. Time goes by, an alarm goes off. Everyone is surprised, it’s not a common alarm. I say “probably carbon monoxide with this diesel smell.” Yep, that’s what it was, all of us could have easily gotten carbon monoxide poisoning. No doors were opened, nor any other real effort to care for people’s wellbeing. The dude at the bar who was shouting starts loudly talking about how he loves “showering with fat women” and makes a comment about my body out of nowhere, when, to be frank he had much more going on than I did. Bathroom door doesn’t have a lock, and the staff said it’s common for people to use the toilet and urinal at once (no barriers. Just free floating). I have zero intention of coming back, and I would recommend this place to no one. I have two stars because the bartender wasn’t terrible. Save yourself some money and some poisoning, grab some beer at a store and go home.

This place has the best Crab Fries. They are cooked to just enough crisp, seasoned just right with Old Bay and the cheese dipping sauce is perfect. This is my favorite place to get a cheesesteak and fries. The wings, pizza and Long Island iced teas were good too! Our waitress, Alyssa, was friendly and attentive!

This place turned out to be a very nice surprise. We were looking to try some local places in the area and so glad we stumbled on it. It's a nice local hangout, very clean, pleasant atmosphere, great food and great service (thanks Alyssa for making us feel welcomed 😊). Lots of great Italian favorites and other options as well. The food was super tasty and we had very generous portions. We tried the Chicken tenders and potstickers for appetizers and then spaghetti and meatballs and the Italian sausage sandwich for lunch. The sauce was great and you could taste all the spices and flavoring in both the sauce and sausage. 🤤 This place is a keeper !

The ladies room door is broken. It looks like someone tried to bust the door in so now ladies…no going potty without someone walking in on you. The location is small but good vibes are felt. Everyone here seemed to be having a good time. We came in and were never acknowledged after standing at the door for 15 minutes. We sat down and again waited for someone to acknowledge us for an additional 15 minutes. Once we were acknowledged the bartender/server was super friendly and nice. To get to the location you must go around to the back. The front building is Little Italy Pizza. There is no seating inside the pizza shop to eat. They only do take out or delivery. The Pourhouse serves food from Little Italy.

Was very excited to find some not so common beers in there cooler for take out. The management definitely cares about consistency and quality of it's product. Favorite food there is little italy special sandwich with bacon and provolone. Favorite beer from there is Resin IPA. Something for anyone's taste there. The staff is welcoming and personable.

Lisa made our day. The BIG pizza slices are great when you’re hanging out.

Great pizza....and beer selection. Super Friendly staff. Bartender, she is phenomenal. Runs and never misses a beat. Feels like a pub in the city. Check it out... hidden behind Little Italy. But easy to find.

Joey and Lisa are by far the best bartenders I have ever come across. Not only do they provide top notch service, they are so personable. The food is amazing as well...especially the homemade ranch they make to go along side the wings and tendies. Can't say enough good things about this place. ​

Food is good. Good beer and booze selection. Good service. Bums sit outside in their outdoor seating. Not sure why an owner would allow that, but maybe that's why I don't own a restaurant. Maybe some people enjoy the ambiance of a bum smoking and occasionally harassing you. If so, sit outside here and enjoy! Bum free, this place is a 5 out of 5.

Really great bar to watch a game or casually catch up with friends! Food is great and drinks are very reasonable!

The first bar I visited while staying in Pottstown for a few weeks. It was a bit difficult to find as I never thought there would be a bar in the back end of a pizzeria, but here it is! Considering what the Pizza placed looked like, I thought the inside was going to be a bit rundown, and I was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. Quite the opposite, it was inviting, clean and with lots of TV's to see the Copa America on! I am not a big beer drinker, but they had a great selection of beers on tap. They also have a drink or food special on different days of the week which I thought was cool, including $5 martinis! I haven't had much food here, except for the pizza, which was really good and huge slices. What makes this stand out the most was actually the service. There is one girl, with a big buffant hair do, that was the only one attending to people and I really thought she was going to have a hard time, but she completley shocked me. Not only was she attentive to everyone's order in a timely fashion, but she also was extremely pleasant and took the time to even remember what you ordered your first round. I would definetely return.

Been here quite a few times, and let's just say I'm 50/50 on how I feel about it. Food was average, prices were somewhat alright, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable. Typically when you go in, the seats at the bar are taken and most of them are regulars. The awkward stares and numerous strange conversations the bartenders had with the patrons left me a bit uneasy. Maybe that's too critical, but at the same time sexual and political conversations should be saved for personal time.

PH is a consistent place for happy hour. Solid service, drinks, and appetizers. Management food a good job hiring the bar staff.

We've been coming to the Pourhouse for years and always receive good service. They went above and beyond on our last visit, providing us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate my night as a bachelorette! Can't beat the selection of craft and domestic beers, cocktails, and a full bar. We're always in for a basket of seasoned fries too! Thank you for making the night so special!

They removed the dart board! We used to come here to play darts and its gone! We are sad :(

One server who was also the bartender, one cook, full house on a Saturday afternoon lunch. Manager should be embarrassed. We did not even stay after our drinks since it became apparent that any food order would be served with a side of "not going anywhere?!"

The deluxe burger was so good! Between the bacon marmalade and the generously sized patty, it was worth every penny. The draft beer section is fantastic as well! There were a lot of reputable breweries on the list making this location a must.

Best sports bar in the Pottstown area. Staff is friendly, food is good and the TVs are big.

The food here was decent. Fries from Chickie's & Pete's and pizza were both above average, though the chicken wings were over-done. Beer selection is very good. Probably would have given 3 or 4 stars. However, we tried to use the Yelp 10% off deal, and the owner only agreed to honor it after we asked to speak directly to him. Even then, he was rude about the entire encounter, using phrases like "if it's that important to you, I'll give you the discount, but I have 3 kids to feed". He said he hates Yelp, which is ironic, considering that as of this review, his establishment has 4 out of 5 stars, and was the main reason we even decided to stop here. He also said that nobody had ever tried to use the Yelp offer, despite the fact that an earlier reviewer had the same experience (though we only read that review after this unfortunate encounter). Bottom line: Decent, though not terrific, food. Good selection of beer. Rude, immoral owner.

The closest thing you can get to an actual Philly cheesesteak this close to reading. And ACTUAL crab fries (the legit real deal jawns) AMAZING! If a taste of true Philly is what you want this is the place.

Not only do I love their pizza, eggplant parm sandwiches, fries, and beer selection, the kitchen is always accommodating to my family's needs, whether it be gluten-free options for my son or a special vegetarian request from me. Our whole family loves the food and atmosphere at The Pourhouse. It's a great go-to for lunch, dinner, or just to meet for snacks and a beer and I'm so glad to have it within walking distance. It's a bonus that the owner and staff are friendly and fun.

I really enjoy this little place. Great beer selection and sweet food specials. Bartenders are so sweet - sometimes they are a little swamped, but they try their best when it gets crazy. $6 pizza on sundays during football was my jam.

I really like this place. Only been here a few times but the food is always great. Decent beer and knowledgeable bartenders. And they have cool food and drink deals during the week. Good bar

Food was decent but nothing special. Good place to catch Philly sports action though. Even though they have a yelp special they won't honor it and the employees don't even seem to be aware of it. Wouldn't be my first choice to go back here but if there are no other options not a bad choice.

Stopped in here Sunday afternoon to watch an Eagles game and have a few beers and food. The Pourhouse is in the back of Little Italy Pizza. Inside the place is a nice sports bar with plenty of Hi Def T.V.s and Direct TV NFL ticket. It was a nice size crowd and the bartender had to be a waitress for the tables as well. That said she did a great job,was attentive and really hustled all the while having a great attitude. She was great. The beer selection here is pretty close to awesome. You probably won't find a better selection in Pottstown. I know that's probably not saying much,but besides the usual Bud,Miller Coors,Yuengling they had drafts from Stone,Victory, Flying Dog,Dogfish Head and others.A pleasent suprise. Sundays they have a 14" pizza special for 6 bux so I went with that. The pizza was good.Not the best,but it was a good pie and I would get it again. They have a nice pub grub menu and also offer "Chickie's and Pete's" Crab Fries which were very good.Alot of people seemed to be having wings and Cheesesteaks so they must be decent! This place seems like a great place to watch a football game or other sporting event and chill with some quality beers and food. My only complaint,and it's not really a complaint, is there seemd to be alot of Giants fans there. I don't know if I'd watch an Eagles Giants game there or not! All in all a nice place for a good time with a nice friendly diverse crowd!

Nice hangout place with a great beer selection. Thursday was $6 cheesesteak day. A bargain. Get a side of fries too ( enough for two people!)

bar service sucked, staff seemed to be drinking more then the customers. What seemed to be bar manager not giving a crap. All I have to say is getto, but will give out a shout out for there pizza. So, in a nut shell don't do the bar just get take out pizza from the front.

I have been a regular at The Pourhouse for about 7 years now. I have made many friends in my times there. It's a great place to watch the game because there are wall to wall TVs! The size of the bar is great because you're never to far from a TV. The food is the best in town! Beer? Oh yea, there's plenty to choose from! They have many on tap and bottle options along with some rare hard to find beers. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive! The owner, Rocky, is great! He is always coming out and shaking hands while making sure you're satisfied. If you're not, which lets be honest, ya can't please everyone....He makes sure that you will be satisfied and return! The employees take pride in the bar, food and over all atmosphere. You can bring a date here for drinks and dinner, a buddy or a few for the game or even your family! I have seen all ages here! If you've never been here, go check it out!

Went here a little over a month ago to watch football since they have the sunday ticket. Food was decent. But four weeks after I visited here my identity was stolen along with two of my friends not from the area. Pourhouse was the common denominator. STAY AWAY FROM HERE! Multiple people have had their identities stolen from here!!!
