The Power Plant Texas Grill – 5 STARS (and I’m already craving my next visit)
Just when I thought burgers couldn’t get any better in Texas, The Power Plant in Seguin goes and proves me wrong, in the most delicious way possible.
I ordered the Original Power Burger with grilled jalapeños added, and sweet mother of Texas, it was perfection on a brioche bun. Juicy, perfectly seasoned patty, melty American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickles, that addictive house Power Sauce, and those grilled jalapeños brought just the right smoky kick without overpowering anything. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, anywhere. The hand-cut fries on the side were hot, crispy, and seasoned like they mean it.
Ice-cold beer in frozen mugs (went with a local draft), stunning views of the Guadalupe River from the huge covered patio, string lights, breeze coming off the water… it’s the full Texas experience dialed up to 11.
Service was fantastic, super friendly, fast, and on point. Everyone working there clearly loves the place, and you feel it.
One tiny note for first-timers: the parking lot layout can be a little confusing when you’re new (a couple extra seconds to figure out where to park, but that’s literally the only thing that isn’t perfect.
The Power Plant isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a destination. Amazing food, cold beer, killer vibes, and that Original Power Burger with grilled jalapeños is now my official go-to order. This place deserves every single one of its 5 stars (and probably a few more). I’ll be back, very soon!
