The noodles 🍜 are always hot and good, but the menu is too little. They need to have other items. We missed the fried dumplings. It was great. They don't have it anymore and the waiter, he doesn't speak a lot of english and it's not very attentive, not much smile on his face and you don't feel the warm welcome. Other than that. It's okay.

Google
You should come here if you enjoy cham pong(짬뽕) -spicy seafood noodle-(5/5).. its not super spicy but has a really nice smoky flavor to it. black noodle(짜장면) is average. The taste is not bad, it's just very simple style flavor (3/5) Shrimp fried rice is good, it comes w cham pong n black noodle soup.(4/5). The owner is really friendly n the store is clean. Parking can be a challenge depending on the hour, so be prepared to look for street parking.

This seafood jjambbong restaurant specializes in large portions and generous portions. The broth is delicious, and the texture of the freshly made noodles is simply exquisite. I tried the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk, and both were delicious. I highly recommend it. However, parking can be a bit tricky during lunch hours. Street parking is metered and has a one-hour limit. After your meal, you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the adjacent coffee shop. Ordering is convenient, as the kiosk is available. Keep in mind that it can take a while for your food to arrive.

I loved the combos they offered. I was able to have jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk. We also ordered the brisket jjambong which was smoky and delicious. The service was excellent and the k-pop music gave an excellent vibe.

The most enjoyable Korean food I've had in a while. After living in Seoul for 2 months, sometimes I forget how lucky we are that ktown exists and this place does too. Seafood Jjam Ppong: GETTTT This was the star of the show and omg the perfectly spicy and bright flavors will make your day and make you do the happy dance with every bite. Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles): GET! This was flavorered so well and the perfect amount of savory and creaminess. This is probably my favorite Korean dish and this place does it justice. Sweet and sour pork: Get I've had a lot of places recently and this place does it well. A good balance of sweet and sour where one doesn't overpower the other. It could use a touch more flavor though Ofc like any other LA spot, parking can be touch but there's a small lot in front Food: 9/10 Service: 7/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 6/10

We ordered the jajjangmyeon and tangsuyuk when we came in. The tangsuyuk was good but we noticed the pork in the jajjangmyeon had a funky and sour taste to it so we called the waiter over. He went back to the kitchen to taste the pork and came out to tell us there was nothing wrong with it even though we insisted it tasted off in our dish. He stated again that nothing is wrong with it and walked away. This made us very uncomfortable as we did not want to keep eating the food and potentially get food poisoning. We had to call him over a second time and ask him to take the dish back and remove it from our bill. The least he could have done initially, was to apologize, take our bowl back, and offer to make us a fresh one. We have been here 3 times before and had no issues. Due to the poor service and lack of courtesy we experienced, they have lost our business. We will not be returning again.

Google
Great restaurant but have to knock back a star as the portions seems to have gotten a bit smaller than before. The highlight of the menu is definitely their sweet and sour pork. We appreciate that the fried pork isn’t mixed in with the sauce by the kitchen but served on the side. I really enjoy the jajangmyeon and the jjamppong and fried rice are also excellent. Small menu but everything is well crafted and comes out quick.

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Last-minute decision on a Thursday night after seeing a long line at BCD Soon Tofu, and we definitely didn’t regret it! The seafood jjamppong here was absolutely amazing. The broth had such a rich, flavorful broth to it that made it so satisfying. They were super generous with the seafood—plenty of shrimp, squid, and clams, all perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place if you want to avoid the mainstream restaurants in K-town, LA.

Yelp
One of the weaker jjajangmyeon spots I've tried in Ktown. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming, and getting seated was immediate. The inside is decently sized and well lit. You order through a tablet at your table which was convenient, and parking wasn't too bad in their lot. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We got the Jjajangmyeon + Sweet & Sour Pork Combo which seemed like a decent deal. The noodles themselves were fine, but the sauce was bland and underseasoned. It felt like it was just there to mix into the noodles without actually bringing any taste. There were only two tiny pork pieces in it, which at that point, might as well have been taken out completely. Maybe we just got an unlucky scoop? The pork also had similar issues. They were more soft than crispy, and the sauce was barely sweet or sour. Like the jjajangmyeon, the sauce felt like it was just kinda there to exist. Admittedly, the portions also could've been a little bigger. I feel bad leaving a negative review since our server was genuinely really nice, but flavor-wise, it just didn't hit. I wouldn't come back unless the recipes see some major changes.

Yelp
Pros: - Parking lot (no valet) - good deals with noodles and pork set - Jamppong was massive! - efficient service, have tablets to order Cons: - Jamppong was delicious. I prefer a more clear broth, but this felt a little heavier - Jajjangmyeon was a bit in the blander side - pork had an assortment of meat to flour ratio of some being a lot of meat/little Looking forward to trying different ones around ktown

Yelp
The Ppong is a spot for those who enjoy Jajangmyeon and Jamppong noodles. I heard of this restaurant from TikTok, during the period when Covid was at it's peak in 2020. Over the past 4 years, I've found myself periodically craving Jajangmyeon and this place was always the first restaurant to come to mind. The quality of the food at The Ppong is consistently impressive. Ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are well-balanced. The dishes are generally on the more afforable side, compared to other establishment that serve the same dishes, which I definitely appreciate. Service at The Ppong is generally attentive and friendly. However, during peak hours, there can be a bit of a wait, and service might slow done slightly due to the shortness in staff and seating in the restaurant. Nonetheless, the staff professionalism and eagerness to assist make up for any minor delays. Overall, The Ppong is a great casual dining location with its newly innovative ordering system, and high quality food. I would 10/10 recommend getting the Black Bean Noodles w/ Sweet and Sour Pork. The portions are absolutely amazing and will satisfy every craving you have.

Yelp
The bowl or visual containing jjamppong was delicious. But when I took a bite, it was just a food that didn't really taste like jjamppong. I think they should pay more attention to the taste of the soup than the visible visuals. The order is also made with the machine on the table, You can only order the payment, but you can go to the front separately and pay the cashier. I hesitated for a while. I wondered how much I should give Cashier a tip.

Yelp
Jajangmyeon was really good! The noodles were flavorful and the sauce was perfect. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely coming back again

Yelp
You guys, go here. Get anything and everything - the food is guaranteed to be delicious. Service is excellent and friendly. Ambiance is like home.

Yelp
Their black bean noodles are amazingly saucy, flavorful and enjoyable to chew on! The price for their dishes is very affordable and I love coming back because of the service, vibe and delicious food! The deep fried dumplings are great, v crispy and the sauce was delectable to the point where my bf and I dipped the pork in :) the pork isn't my favorite due to not eating pork too much but my bf and other friends who have tried it enjoy it!! I will say that i wish the jajangmyeon had some more beef in it because if it did I wouldn't mind paying more for it :)
google avatar

KJ A.

Yelp
This is my favorite jajangmyeon spot in LA. The portion is just right (not too much, not too little). I always get the tangsuyuk as well and it's always perfect. The service is quick and friendly, and I love the vibe inside. Parking is usually available in the lot which is critical in Koreatown. Love this place!
google avatar

Trinny T.

Yelp
Beware with the black bean noodles. They took instant black bean noodles. The dish is not restaurant made. You go to the Ppong, you should just get the jam ppong only. The jam ppong are actually quite tasty with average spicy level and hot flavorful soup. The meals came out super fast. The sweet and sour pork is also good but I like Zzamong's more. The parking lot is private with decent ample parking. I would come here only for jam ppong.

Yelp
Great casual spot for good Korean-Chinese food! The restaurant is small but with decent seating. We ordered two types of the champong (one seafood and one with meat and seafood), the black bean noodles, and the ttangsuyuk (fried pork with sweet sauce). In all the dishes, the ingredients were top-tier quality. The noodles were also very chewy, unlike a lot of other places. Our favorite dish was the fried pork. They serve it with fresh cut cabbage and other vegetables which was a fun take on the dish that added a lot of freshness. The noodle dishes taste-wise was average, but I think the quality of the ingredients definitely give them brownie points. What made me give this place 5 stars was the service. Who I presume to be the owner was so kind and accommodating. He was very attentive and quick to bring us anything we needed. I definitely recommend supporting this business!

Yelp
Came here to try the black bean noodles and the pork. Maybe this isn't really my cup of tea, I'm not too sure, but it's whatever you prefer right? I just thought it was pretty decent. If I were to describe the flavor, I would say it's more on the sweet side with long and chewy noodles. I have not tried the 2nd thing on the menu which almost looks like a crab/seafood casserole. I will have to come back and try this. The price point on this is actually really good though. I got the set for black bean noodles and it fed 2 people easy.

Yelp
A cute restaurant that serves up good black bean noodles and sweet and sour pork. The staff here is some of the friendliest I've met in Ktown so that is definitely a plus! Clean restaurant and modern vibes is what I would say the atmosphere is like. Onto the food, the food is pretty standard for what it is, though the flavors are good and they make everything fresh which is a great touch. Not my favorite black bean noodle place but Ppong is definitely above the average black bean noodle joint! I would recommend this place if you're looking for a reasonably priced black bean noodle place! Authentic in flavors, friendly staff, and parking in ktown all lead to a good experience!

Yelp
A very casual Korean place that specializes in (and really only serves) jjjamppong and jajangmyeon. And they do it pretty well. We came on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by the single server very warmly. He asked us if we've tried these dishes before; we had, but another couple after us did not and he took time to explain the menu to them. Food is ordered through a kiosk on the table and brought out to you, which means when you're seated the service is very fast. We saw the jajajangmyeon and pork combo on Instagram and came for that. The black bean noodles were sweet, savory, and pleasantly chewy. But the portion is a little small, and I kind of wish it had more meat and was warmer when it came to us. We've never had Korean sweet and sour pork before, and I like how separating the sauce and meat kept it nice and crispy. The sauce legit tasted like apple pie filling; it was delicious, but I added a healthy amount vinegar to balance it out. We tried the jjamppong too just because it's in the name and the combination is classic, but it was by far our favorite. It's *loaded* with a variety of seafood, veggies, and noodles, with tons of smoky wok flavor packed into the creamy and delicious broth. It's just spicy enough, and I added plenty of gochugaru on the side for more heat. They don't have a combo plate, so bring a friend to try both the jjamppong and jajangmyeon. Or don't, come extra hungry, and inhale both yourself. We're definitely coming back, for two jjamppongs and a jajangmyeon to share.

Yelp
Great place to grab dinner with friends! There is a free parking lot. I got Combo B - black bean noodle and sweet/ sour pork for $25. The batter was great, and really enjoyed it. The black bean was a large portion for 1, but I get it. It was surprisingly sweet! I don't know what I was expecting, but I enjoyed it! You order from the table kiosk. Very minimal server interaction. Lots of indoor seating for groups of 4!

Yelp
This tiny little restaurant nestled right between Hancock Park and Ktown is super cute and feels like a snack shop you'd find in an alley Seoul. The tiny menu (maybe 8 items) is limited but delicious. I can appreciate them only having a few things but doing those dishes right! Jjamppong (the restaurant's namesake) is soooooo satisfying. Scalding hot, spicy, full of seafood and scorched onions for that wok flavor, and chewy bouncy noods! Definitely the standout dish. We also had jjajang myun and it was solid, but nothing out of the ordinary. The sweet & sour pork, must when eating these noodles was so refined from the old school version. The quality of pork seemed high and lean, and love the touch of shredded fresh veggie slaw on top for some freshness. The young man, the only person working the front of house was gentle, kind, attentive and efficient. What More can you ask for at a 10 table restaurant. It's may have given five stars if they served fresh crunchy cabbage kimchi (no kimchi here so manage your expectations). Regardless, Deeeelish!

Yelp
I love this place! I always get the black bean noodle and sweet n sour pork combo! I love the sauce flavor and the pork is always fresh!

Yelp
I've been just order for delivery this place since when they open but it's my first time go to there for eat with a friend. Ordered brisket jjampong as always but I think it's different quality than before. When the first time opens food was a lot so it's enough for sharing two people. But at this time enough for only one person. If you like to order just seafood jjampong try brisket jjampong. It's same better quality and good price. Brisket jjampong (3/5) I give only 3 because got changed. In my opinion I don't like when restaurants change taste or quality. Sour and sweet pork (3/5) I used eat this a lot at other places but I hope this place sauce need to be more sticky. Small place, limited seat for table. Very clean The owner whoever serving was accommodating. I would like to go this place again Plus parking place is very limited.
google avatar

Emma H.

Yelp
Don't fall for the hype food is ok but nothing spectacular not to mention that we were completely ignored by the staff member he only greeted other Asian folks and completely ignored the rest of the customers which were Latinos. Makes me wonder how they treat the Latino staff in the kitchen cooking the food. They just have the Korean guy at the front for show lol he was cold and standoff ish. Y para rematar I got the shrimp jimppong you'd think for 20$ I would at least get more than 1 shrimp, and 1 tiny octopus bruh it was mostly noodle and a couple of mussels. My friend got the bean noodle and said the same thing, hardly meat in these dishes.
google avatar

Jenn L.

Yelp
This restaurant is tucked away but was recommended so we had to check it out. Ordering is easy, there's a tablet at each table which makes it easy to go through the menu options and get your food quickly to your table. Portions are huge I definitely could've shared but wanted to sample a little of everything. We ordered some delicious and comforting seafood soup and black bean noodles, also a large bowl of karage is a must order. Small parking lot so hopefully it's not too crazy busy otherwise might have difficulty dining in, will return!
google avatar

Tatiana V.

Yelp
Delicious, albeit spicy, food!! Great portions, inviting environment. Great little place to know!

Aiden S.

Yelp
Great food and service! I would definitely go back soon! I really recommend this place if you're in k-town!
google avatar

Camelle T.

Yelp
the best korean black bean noodles, in my opinion! the sauce is full of flavor and pork belly and the noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy. the sweet and sour pork is good, but there's more cabbage on it than pork. service is quick and very attentive. there are tablets on every table to make ordering fast and simple. inside is decorated nicely and makes eating comfortable. there is a parking lot outside and street parking if it is full. definitely come here for black bean noodles!
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Their jjamppong is probably top in Los Angeles. Their soup flavor is so on point that I thought I'm in Korea. They char all their vegetables for that extra smoky flavor. You can tell they care about their quality. They also have a bunch of seafood stuffed inside like is a treasure hunt for octopus and clams. Their deep fried dumpling reminds me of the vegetarian dumpling from din tai fung but fried with a bit of pork inside. Very delicious. Sweet and sour squid is also done well. Lots of meat with minimum batter. The owner is a really nice guy. He make sure you're well taken care of. Give this place a try for sure.
google avatar

Mae M.

Yelp
What a great find! The Pppong sits right in the edge of Koreatown in a small shopping center with ample parking. I came here for dinner with my friends and while their menu is on the smaller side, we were each able to find something we liked! I ordered the Deep Fried Dumplings and Black Bean Noodles. The dumplings were really good! The black bean noodles were also yummy but I think could have been a tad bit more flavorful with some meat. Overall still happy with the price here and also super quick service in which we were seated and taken care of.
google avatar

Billy M.

Yelp
Not only is the food delicious and super fresh. The portions are large and generous and the staff is always so welcoming and eager to teach new folks the way!
google avatar

Shania W.

Yelp
The Ppong is located on the side of Koreatown in a small plaza with lots of parking. It has a very casual setting, with a number of tables to sit at inside. Their menu is super straight and to the point; they offer the typical Korean-Chinese dishes. We stopped by on a Monday evening since I was craving jjajangmyeon and my friend really wanted tangsuyuk. This place satisfied our cravings but didn't leave anything memorable. We ordered the Black Bean Noodle and Sweet & Sour Pork, which both came out very quickly. The prices were very reasonable, but the portions were on the smaller side. I felt that the jjajangmyeon could've had more flavor since the sauce was kind of lacking. The noodles were also slightly overcooked. Their tangsuyuk was well fried, but I was disappointed in the portion. It seems really big when it was brought out but looks were deceiving--after we removed the cabbage that was on top, the actual amount of meat was pretty small. The sauce was also overly sweet. The service was friendly and fast. In general, Ppong does a solid job, but I do prefer other jjajangmyeon options in the area!
google avatar

Alicia C.

Yelp
Came on a weeknight for a casual dinner. Overall, food was good but nothing phenomenal. Got the sweet and sour pork which was lightly crisp on the outside and the sweet and sour sauce was a decent balance of sweet and tangy. The black bean noodles were cooked well and the black bean sauce had more sweetness to it than what I've had before at other places. Also tried the brisket jjam ppong. The broth had a medium spice level and a variety of seafood which gave the it some depth. Customer service was a bit lacking and the staff seemed upset/annoyed when we asked for containers for the food we couldn't finish. She didn't respond; just went to grab 1 container and handed it to us but we needed 2 containers, so had to ask for another. The restaurant is in a small strip plaza that has limited parking spaces.
google avatar

Yelp
Need to get the jjamponggg! It's my favorite jjampoong place. It's Smokey with a kick
google avatar

Snoopy S.

Yelp
Actual rating more like a 3.5/5. Service was good, food was pretty good too. Desperately understaffed however. The Ppong already doesn't have a large space to work with, and they would definitely do better with just 1-2 more people in the front. When we first came in, the guy working had to attend to multiple tables before he could clear out our table. He was also so busy that there was barely enough time to check on us, which is typically a non-issue, but it's not a good experience when your server is overwhelmed. This is a problem that can be solvable, but many restaurants choose not to. Food was pretty good. Not many choices - between the four-ish jjamppong dishes, 1-2 non-soups, and other misc side dishes, you're not choosing from a ton of options. I didn't mind because it's easier to make a decision. They have a virtual menu with a touchscreen to send in orders, and our food came out in reasonable time. Seafood jjamppong - Good flavor with a little kick. Some of the group thought this was too spicy, but I enjoyed. Came with baby octopus, chunks of squid (quite chewy and hard, not my favorite way to do it), mussels/clams, etc. Noodles had good texture on the bottom, but you'll have so much soup left over that you might as well order the $2 extra bowl of rice. Black bean noodles - On the sweeter end, which I didn't enjoy all that much. Comes with sauce on the sides and you mix yourself. Again with the rice recommendation - this is pretty good with the side bowl of rice or for taking home leftovers and having as an elite midnight snack. I wouldn't return based off my experience, but if management hires more people then I'd reconsider. Staff are kind and apologetic even, but this is a larger issue than one employee (literally).

Yelp
UPDATE: ONE WEEK LATER.... HOW DO YOU GO FROM OMG TO WTF?? Went back and tried to order same thing but was "sold out" wife got seafood jjampong and I got shrimp fried rice with zzazzang sauce. They had no mandoo. We are in the restaurant. Food came faster. But WTF happened to the taste?? Jjampong had 1 shrimp a tiny crab with no meat, a couple mussel the size of a peanut and a whole onion and some kimchi. But most importantly the broth was bland.... The zzazzang sauce was so damn sweet I couldn't eat it.. IF YOU HAVE DIABETES DO NOT EAT ZZAZZANG!!! Holy crap it was bad. There was maybe 6 tiny shrimp and the plate was half the size you normally get around town. Another table complained her jjampong was salty. My wife didn't finish her meal, she called it bland onion jjampong. Bad bad bad .. and I believe the owner was there today, old man not the younger dude. How does the broth go from a 10 to a 1 in a week???? Why haven't I been to this place before? I love Korean Chinese food. Jam Ppong is one of my favorite dishes. I've tried most restaurants in ktown and in Seoul. This one beat my favorite in ChongNo (Chinese district in Seoul) First of all the broth is to die for!!! The noodles and vegetables are fresh perfectly cooked. I got the one with seafood and intestines and couldn't believe how soft. Also the amount of food compared to other restaurants was way bigger, enough to fill my fat white belly I won't go anywhere else ever again ... Only thing was it took about 30 minutes to get our food to go. But I will just call it in!

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place out for the longest time and finally got the chance to! My friend and I got their Sweet and Sour Pork as appetizers to share and this was literally AMAZING. I've always grown up eating this but the Chinese take on this (where the sauce is red). It does taste a bit similar but also different. I love that they separate the pork from the sauce so that the pork stays super crispy and juicy as well! For entree I got their Brisket JjamPong which is like a spicy noodle soup with a seafood and chicken broth as the base. The broth was honestly soooo flavorful, you could definitely taste the seafoodness to it! Not to mention their noodles are perfectly cooked, chewy and thiccyyy. This dish comes fully loaded as well with a great portion of brisket, crab, mussels and shrimps! My friend got their Black Bean Noodle and it was super delicious as well, the sauce was well balanced and the noodles were chewy! The portion here is massive so you'll be leaving with leftovers or a food coma, choose your pick! Menu is small and limited which means everything is made with care. The place is pretty spacious and open; has a modern look and clean. Food came out pretty quick as well.

Yelp
Heard good reviews from some friends and today! It was good business system Simple menu, good taste and rapid service for all. And, good boss who has a great attitude how to treat all customers. Good place with your friends.

Yelp
The Ppong is an unassuming joint in the plaza located in the midst of a busy k-town intersection. The 짬뽕, or jjamppong, is probably responsible for the restaurant's namesake, because it was one of the best I've had and I'm not even a fan of the dish. The restaurant's preparation made me a fan! The black bean noodle left a bit to be desired but it's the jjamppong that should be enjoyed. Caution to the spice intolerant because the dish packs a kick
google avatar

Jae S.

Yelp
Ppong is located on the edge of ktown on Wilshire that sells korean black bean noodles amongst their other menu items. For $12 on some black bean noodles, I would definitely call that a bargain compared to any of the other korean restaurants in ktown. Inside of the restaurant has great seating and during the time I went for dinner I was seated immediately and didnt have to wait! Ordered just the black bean noodles and came out with a side of korean radishes/onions/black bean paste (traditional side dishes for this). Less is more! The black bean noodles were excellent and the first taste of the sauce had me stuffing my face with more and more. The noodles were so soft and easy to chew. Some places have the noodles way too chewy for my liking or the sauce would be way too salty. Didnt have any of those issues here! Cant wait for the next time to come here and satisfy my needs for korean black bean noodles. Looking forward to trying their spicy noodles + fried pork! Place has ample parking and was able to find a parking spot for dinner. Free parking in ktown!

Yelp
My favorite jjamppong restaurant! Love their spicy broth that's filled with seafood. The brisket is a must. The black bean sauce is very good too. It's better than Zzamong and Paik's nearby. Tastes amazing in the black bean noodles and with the shrimp fried rice (get this!). The tangsuyuk is good when you dine in, but it gets a little soggy if you do takeout, even though they package it well with vent holes. Mostly pork and not overbattered. Sweet and sour sauce changes depending on the day, but is generally on the sweeter side and not too sour. Found this place ~2 years ago and have been back many times. The downside: prices seem to go up $1 with each visit, so it's not the steal it once was. Black bean noodles went from $7 to $12, brisket jjamppong from $15 to $18, etc. On my latest visit, the bowls were new and seemed smaller too. Oh inflation. The food taste hasn't changed though!

Yelp
Unassuming restaurant with a small interior. We came by on a Saturday afternoon (2pm) and we had to put our names down for a table. The wait was about 20 minutes. Once inside and seated, the server will come and take your order. Food comes out relatively quickly. We tried the sweet and sour pork, the black bean noodles, and the small intestine jjam ppong. Everything was delicious. The jjam ppong was our favorite!! The broth was spicy, thick, and full of flavor and the noodles were the perfect consistency. Definitely a must on a cold day. It may be hard to find parking depending when you visit. The Ppong shares a parking lot with other stores; fortunately, there is some street parking.

Yelp
They have the best jjampong hands down, but i have to say their portion size is ridiculous.. my family and i all got the chadol (brisket) jjampong and there were barely any chadol pieces in there.. very disappointing... its seafood pasta w/ like not even 2 pieces of chadol they were very thinly sliced into small pieces. Also, the guy working there only gave us 2 plates of danmuji, so i asked for two more plates since there are 4 of us & i heard him saying something and stopping mid sentence and ended up just bringing it to me.. lol last time we came, the lady working there gave us 4 plates of danmuji so i'm not sure what his problem was. Other than that, the jjampong broth was really good.

Yelp
Great food. I only tried the shrimp fried rice to go. It came with some spicy soup and the black bean sauce, really great. I just wanted some fried rice, and I wasn't expecting much, but eating the rice with the spicy soup and salty black bean sauce really was great. The rice by itself isn't too flavorful but is perfect when paired with the soup and sauce. It also comes with daikon pickles which is just a great addition to the already flavorful meal. I also love how close it is to me. Highly recommended if you like korean style chinese food.

Yelp
this spot is right across the street from me so a super convenient spot to grab a meal. we tried the black bean noodles, fried dumplings, and sweet and sour pork. sauce for black bean noodles was a little thin but still yummy. crispy dumplings came out piping hot and were very crispy and yummy as well, i liked the sweet and sour pork, especially with the black bean noodles as i preferred that sauce over the one they gave. the sweet and sour sauce almost tasted like cinnamon applesauce many other people seemed to order the seafood bowl so maybe thats the dish to try

Yelp
Best jjam ppong I've had in K Town. I highly recommend the Brisket Jam Pong. This hot soup, featuring a spicy seafood chicken broth infused with tender brisket, shrimp, black mussels, clams, half-cut crab, onion, and carrot, is super delicious. Speaking of the soup, it is an absolute masterpiece! The flavors are deep and rich, with just the right amount of spiciness.

Yelp
Love the Jajangmyeon here!! They always give a good portion of noodles along with a side of pickled radish. I always ordered for pickup so cannot comment on service but pickup is usually easy lol

Yelp
The best casual Korean noodles in LA KTown! Highlights of the menu: 1. Deep fried dumplings 2. Black bean noodles 3. Sweet and sour pork 4. Intestine jjam ppong (with seafood). So order this if you like both intestine and seafood! 5. Drinks: sodas This place is sooo good that I was amazed by the first time visiting. The taste of food is beyond phenomenon when they have the Asian street food tastes in all of their dishes. I heard this place is packed at peak hours since the place is not so big but well known for their yummy food. Not only the food, this place offers the young casual vibes with very friendly service. It can become my go-to black noodles place in LA!

Yelp
Ordered for lunch via DooDash. NO CHOPSTIX! Other than that, I had the black bean noodles and sweet, savory fried pork. I very much enjoyed the black bean noodles. I had been wanting to try black bean korean noodles for over a year but never seemed to make it happen. The noodles were soft and the sauce was thick with chunks of pork belly. The consistency was smooth but I noticed when it was cooler the sauce sort of turned a little grainy. Is that normal? Maybe from the pork fat stiffening from being cooler temperature. The sweet and sour pork bites were very very tasty. The pork was better quality and didn't have that overwhelming pig flavor I was nervous would be the case. It was juicy and satisfying to bite into. I thought the dipping sauce was fun! It was thick and rich with sliced onion and bell pepper. Very nice experience.

Yelp
Bookmarked The Ppong for awhile as I had chadol (brisket) jjampbong in Korea and crave it all the time. A small restaurant with just a handful of items on the menu. We both ordered the brisket and seafood brisket jjampbong along with an order of fried dumplings. Only one waiter tending to all the tables, but service was pretty quick. The dumplings are huge and a bit bland, but once you dip in the sauce it's tasty. The jjampbong was hefty, with tons of seafood, even half a crab, and tons of brisket. It was really delicious but the soup was too thick and spicy for my taste. Overall, really good and different from the typical jjampbongs.

Yelp
Top tier jjamppong. This spot has become my go-to for jjamppong. They also are on uber eats (amount of times I've ordered them to cure my hangover)! Run down of what we ordered. black bean noodles, black bean fried rice, deep-fried dumplings, sweet and sour pork, and seafood jjamppong. Must try their sweet and sour pork, jjamppong, and black bean noodles. Their noodles have the perfect softness. The broth is flavorful with generous amounts of seafood. The black bean sauce is well-balanced, and not too heavy. Pork is fried with the perfect crisp. Their pickled radishes are also a hit. Has a parking lot. Will keep coming back! Black bean noodle: $8.49 Seafood jjamppong: $14.49 Black bean fried rice: $12.97 Deep fried dumplings: $9.49 Sweet and sour pork: 15.49

Yelp
Just like many reviews mentioned, the male server provided good service. Noodles are homemade and are very chewy. As some reviews pointed out, the jjajang noodles' portion was very disappointing and I think the sauce should be drier. The sweet and sour pork was good enough. The seafood jjam-ppong was super yummy, and I really loved the broth.
