Let me start by saying that I love atmosphere and the people. It's a very beautiful and cozy place to eat with a view of Frenchman st. Now the food. The fried okra was pretty good then the fried chicken. I ordered the "a little bit of soul platter" the gumbo was okay the chicken and sausage tasted like it was canned along with greens and red beans. The Ribs were tough and the Bread pudding was ok. Thanks

Convenient, yummy and open late. This place meets all the requirements for a perfect late night meal. Let's start with the fried okra...salivating. The meatloaf was pretty yummy with a brown gravy. Everything came out very quickly and the servers were polite and welcoming. The bread pudding is super sweet but a great item to share -delicious. I ordered a la carte so I could have a sampling but their entree portions are substantial from what I saw. Pricing is decent, location is heart of Frenchman street, and there's plenty of room for big parties with a minimal wait. Glad I stopped by.

Great food, friendly staff, and a nice experience. We enjoyed a nice dinner here at The Praline Connection. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The catfish and shrimp were spectacular and I really enjoyed the seasoning. We would definetly come back again! Expect to pay between $14-30 per person.

Pros: - amazing potato salad - lots of good spicy chicken - good crab cakes - the lady that ran the place was very nice Cons: - drinks were meh - service took a while after being seated We didn't end up trying the pralines but everything we had were pretty good. The drinks were pretty boozy but could've tasted better. I liked the ambiance, and the wait staff were all thematically dressed and courteous.

When you don't eat meat, it's hard to find a balanced meal without being overloaded on starches at restaurants, so I was excited about the veggie choices. I did not care for the greens...too vinergy, and they could have fried the pickles longer. Also, the yams weren't as soft as I would have liked them, or the green beans in the veggie mix. My friend's chicken and ribs were not at a good heat temp. But, SHE LOVED THE CABBAGE AND GUMBO ABSOLUTELY TO DEATH!! Try them out...

Copious portion while the food a bit plain for my taste, however in each table, they have option of sauce you can add - on to your plate! Friendly yet professional staff taken our reservation, while Ciara seems to forced herself to give us her best service - attitude "relief smile" shown on her face after my Explorian words "life is hard, we know it".... Overall 5 🌟 for the staff 2 🌟 for the food 3 🌟 for the price

My family and I recently just returned from a trip to New Orleans and this was a place that was suggested. This was probably the best decision of the day. The stewed chicken was sooo good. Along with the collards and mac and cheese. For dessert I had the bread pudding another good decision. My family and I will definitely be returning.

The alligator sausage poboy was delicious! Fresh bread, just spicy enough, & the service was terrific! Their mac & cheese "wasn't ready yet" which was a bummer.
