"The name is a tribute to owner Dianah Rodriguez’s late father, Pastor Virgilio Remorca, but don’t expect a holier-than-thou attitude when it comes to the drink selection at this Alameda wine bar and cafe. The approachable menu covers both Old World and New World favorites, with flights of red, white, rose, and sparkling available. And with no glass over $16, The Preacher’s Daughters is a great spot to enjoy quality wine without breaking the bank." - Dianne de Guzman, Matt Lardie

"The Preachers Daughter, a wine bar, coffee, shop, and cafe, has opened on Park Street, Tablehopper reports. Its menu of sandwiches and salads is by chef Casey Rebecca Nunes (of Media Noche and Smitten), and patio dining is available outside its historic building." - Eve Batey

My partner and I stopped in here for drinks and dinner. We had a few cocktails and tried the charcuterie board and Margarita flatbread pizza. We really enjoyed everything we tried and had an amazing night. We will definitely be coming back here for date nights.

Had a great latte and cookie here. This place is so awesome. Everything was high quality and fresh. The coffee was perfect. I wish I lived closer, I would visit this place way more.

Great place in Alameda. Wish they had a better food selection. Went there for a friends art show, was great!

Update May 2023: Had an amazing brie, prosciutto, and fig sandwich from the Preacher's Daughter last week. My companion enjoyed her lox crostini greatly as well. I am not a big mustard fan, so I asked if the potato salad was mustardy and the waitress said no. It was, in fact, quite mustardy! But luckily, I can handle Dijon mustard more easily than yellow mustard. If you love mustard, I think you'd like that side dish a lot. This was our second time, and we were much more pleased with our dishes this time. Now I just need to actually be there at a decent time for Happy Hour... ------------- Lots to like about the decor, quality ingredients, etc. but I was underwhelmed by my BLT and corn soup's flavor, and my dining companion found the dressing's vinegar overwhelming. Will definitely go again - I look forward to raising that rating!

Looking for a pick me up after eating some delicious Italian food, we stopped by The Prescher's Daughter to grab a cup of coffee and chu chu board of meats and cheese. The staff was friendly and attentive. Little to no wait to get seated and order our goodies. There was live music to help set the atmosphere of the place. All in all a fun time to be had no alcohol required... But I did partake lol.

I love taking friends and family to The Preachers Daughter. The have great food, good vibes, friendly staff and beautiful interesting art you can admire and/or buy. Cocktails and mocktails are fun, my favorite sandwich is the Farmers Daughter. I have to have one every month or so. And I always have to get an ube bundt cake - soooo yummy and it's Purple?!?! They even have board games available to encourage people to hang out - how great is that?

Don't sleep on this place! I love it and the shift give me a salad instead of chips with my sandwich this morning. I will be back I just stopped by to get a pick-me-up for the day LOL. But this is a must go to in Alameda Wireless is very great mimosas are good the Riesling is good! Service is well and very attentive. I will be back. They also have wine tasting here. By the way the food he's amazing the sandwich was off the hook delicious and arugula salad oh my goodness I was going to heaven while I was eating! The Mimosa was delicious to whatever that champagne is they use was so delicious and refreshing.

Food and drinks were really good, service not so much. We will give it another chance, maybe our server was having a bad day. We ate outside on their covered parklet, which was really kind of cozy and cute, we had our dog with us.

Bianka G.

Yelp
Service and ambiance were great! Our server was friendly and made some great recommendations. We had our dog with us so had to sit outside but they have a small patio which worked out great. She even brought out a water bowl and treat for my pup. The espresso martini was strong and delicious. The Bloody Mary was tasty and refreshing with all the accoutrements. The waffles were soft and the omelette had a good amount of cheese and chorizo. The preachers daughter croissant was tasty too. The ground mustard, green apples, and thyme onion jam was a good combo, but needed a little more sweetness from the jam. They have live music on Sundays which was a nice touch to a Sunday brunch. If you find yourself in the area, have a big group, or your dog with you, come and try it out!

Yelp
I've come across this restaurant on yelp before but was never intrigued to try it. Just yesterday I was looking for a place that does Belgian waffles since my boyfriend wanted it for weekend brunch. I came across this spot and looked at the menu photos and it shows a good variety of breakfast and brunch items. Today 6/23/2024, my bf and I came to dine in (sat outside in the parklet) and we were given a small menu that had maybe 6-7 main items and appetizers/drinks. (Sorry I forgot to take a photo of it.) I was a bit confused when I saw the menu after seeing a different one on the yelp photos. I'm guessing they have a rotating menu or completely changed menu? Since we didn't order that much between the two of us, it was a quick visit. Our waitress was nice overall, service was average, and the food came out at a decent time. The food tasted good and fresh. I enjoyed sitting out on the parklet. Inside has a bar area. Restrooms are cute with blue/teal walls and brass gold accents lol. Overall 3.8 stars; I wish they had other pastries and dishes to try on this day that I went.

Yelp
Just went to The Preacher's Daughter for lunch this afternoon. We've been here before a year ago and decided to come back with our daughter and dog. Sat outside on the parklet, though the table was seated by a weird non-working parking meter - no problem though, just strange it wasn't removed. The service was great in that the folks were kind, attentive, and were able to get us flatbreads when clearly it was just brunch time. The food however, was subpar. No flavor to the flatbreads, and totally something we could just make at home. The beet and arugula salad was good but basic. Again, can make this at home with little effort. Iced coffee's were basically super watered down. While it was nice to get out and grab a bite, the food was really lacking. Not sure we'll be back anytime soon. Side note: lots of Alameda restaurants are subpar these days unfortunatley. We want to like them, but nothing truly stands out aside from Burma Superstar, Cholita Linda, and East End. We truly feel like some of the best food has to be sought on SF, Oak, or parts of the Southbay.

Yelp
So many hidden gems in Alameda & this one qualifies as a great place for a group or just going solo. The waiter was very attentive & friendly which always makes the stay more pleasant. Order: Dirty Turkey/ : Turkey, mushroom, thyme, Sun "dried tomato puree, provolone & white cheddar cheese with Dates. A very satisfying sandwich with a surprisingly sweet note with the dates. Nothing feels as comforting as a delicious sandwich. A definite item to have again. In addition to the sandwich I opted for their creamy tomato soup. What a wonderful surprise to find that they make it homemade. The difference was immediately noticed when I had my soup spoon full of soup with the sweetness of fresh tomatoes, the creamy milk component & fresh herbs & spices. Something I would look forward to again. Ambiance & service was superb with a personal attentiveness to our water & food. My only regret was not getting to try their Buddha Bowl salad comprised of quinoa, arugula, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, mushroom, beets, avocado, pepitas nut & balsamic glaze. I was hoping they did a 1/2 sandwich & salad, but they offer this, so I'll have to ale it a point to order that next time. Such a spacious & relaxing place! A definite place to revisit. & Creamy Tomato Soup was fresh, loved the sundried

Yelp
Tasty food (when they get your order right), tasty drinks, but the service is lacking. When we sat down, it took a long time for them to come and acknowledge us. I thought that might have just been a one-off, but noticed another party eventually getting up and asking the bartender about ordering as they had been sitting for a while without being acknowledged as well. When the waitress did come, she wasn't friendly or welcoming at all, and it felt like we were inconveniencing her for taking up her time. When the food came, my husband unrolled his silverware from the napkin to find out that he only had a knife, which wasn't going to help him eat his omelette. We looked for the waitress, but after a while passed without seeing her my husband got up to track her down. Her response was to say that she thought she gave us silverware - kind of odd to have to explain that you did but the fork was missing. Once a fork was acquired, my husband cut into his omelette to see that the lox that he ordered in his omelette was missing. Time to try and track down our missing waitress again. When we finally got her, she went to the kitchen to get a plate of lox for him, but at that point the entire omelette was cold. Cold eggs are not great. When they do get your order right - the food is tasty! I had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and it was warm and delicious, with a perfectly toasted buttery croissant. I gave my husband the other half (as it was a good size), and he was much more impressed with the sandwich. We wanted a second round of drinks, and of course our waitress was nowhere to be found again, so we went to the bar to order from someone else. The drinks were tasty and not overly sweet. It seemed like they used fresh ingredients. I really wanted to like this place and give them my support as they are women and minority owned (and being a Hispanic woman myself)... but I'm not sure we would be back. Street parking can be found pretty easily on a weekend morning, and the place was mostly empty while we were there (so no worries on a line). It's a shame that the service was honestly offensive, as the food (when it is served warm and your order is correct) is quite tasty and the cocktails were very nice.

Yelp
The quality of pastries served at this place is worth mentioning. The establishment is not too flashy and lacks notable branding. The Victorian style building is painted with dark colors and may go unnoticed. I discovered the place coincidentally when my internet connection down the street wasn't working. The ambiance of the place is serene, and it is an excellent place to work in the morning. It is bright due to the abundance of natural light and has a vast parklet. I might bring my dog next time. The restaurant suggested visiting during the evening since they have a new seafood menu. The place is quite charming overall. The service and food were above average.

Gina H.

Yelp
This review is solely on the drinks and ambiance. Such a cute place to just grab a drink and catch up. Not too busy and not too loud. Very relaxing setting. If you're just walking in park street on a nice day I recommend stopping by!

Steve G.

Yelp
So what is this place? Sandwich shop? Wine bar? Coffee shop? Pub? Speakeasy? Kinda all of the above. Parking on Park St can be challenging so I parked in the lot across the street. Walking in, there's about 10 tables and a bar. Being by myself, I just pulled up a seat at the bar. I came for their Dirty Turkey croissant sandwich which was very good, although the mushrooms were a little overpowering. I also had the mango and friends tea which was excellent. On this Saturday afternoon, they had a guitar player which contributed to the hang-out vibe. The servers were super nice. Cool, relaxed vibe. The food was OK, prices were a little high for a sandwich but reasonable for coffee, tea, and drinks. I'd come back if I wanted to have a nice place to hang out for a while.

Yelp
COVID 19 REVIEW   Came here for lunch during the week and sat outside in their parklet.  There are walls between you and the street, but the best part is that there isn't much traffic on this side street.  So we sat at a table under a patio umbrella.     Service was excellent.  I had a turkey and melted cheese croissant sandwich which was just fine.  It came with chips.  The sandwich probably could have used some lettuce.     I parked in the shopping center parking lot across Park Street.   I'd eat here again.

Yelp
On Tuesday this week, I was hunting around an alternative place to eat after learning that Speisenkammer was closed for lunch (until Friday, this time of year). I was so disappointed! Well, The Preacher's Daughter popped up on my Yelp app (it's good, I recommend...lol), so 2 blocks away I went. Parking is a mess with no lot and limited metered street parking. But once inside, it's a "cute as hell" place. A bar-like setting with high-top tables in the front, and on the side, a combo of high-top and standard tables. A decor is a little dated, but it was clean and I liked. For lunch, the menu is filled with salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, coffees, and lots of beers, wines, and cocktails. A special brunch menu with eggs, waffles, scones is offered 2pm. I was disappointed to learn that they offer nothing different for the evening. C'mon, a few entrees wouldn't hurt things. A happy hour menu is offered 3pm-6pm, M-F. I ordered a Farmer's Daughter sandwich [$15, 4.0 stars] -- not offered whole wheat (my preferred), I got it on a nice toasted sourdough. There were things I liked about it: sliced granny smith apples, warm onion-thyme jam, whole grain mustard; but the turkey was good taste but not great, they use packaged already sliced cut. The side salad was only kale and arugula with a lemon vinaigrette, plain yes, but excellent quality and so healthy. I think at this point I would recommend the brunch menu, and/or coming in for drinks later on. PS. Very nice service!

Yelp
I was looking for a new brunch spot and The Preacher's Daughter did not disappoint! I enjoyed the chilaquiles and my partner really liked the jamon croissant sandwich. The atmosphere is very relaxing -- would be a great spot to work on a laptop in the morning. They have outdoor seating as well; I'd love to come back on a warm day and relax on the patio. Drinks and pastries were also on point. The folks working provided solid customer service; things moved a little slowly, but I know that their morning service is new and they're working out the kinks, and I wasn't in a hurry. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!

Vicki L.

Yelp
Good for a causal breakfast, brunch or lunch. Friendly staff. Causal atmosphere. Easy parking.

Amy S.

Yelp
The customer service was good. The location had a bunch of great art. The food was not good. I took a few bites of the sandwich before I opened it up to find brown apples. It was also just boring. The sandwich was warm but everything was too soft and bland. I chose a side salad and it was just all arugula and a boring salad dressing.

Shana W.

Yelp
One thing I hate is wasting money on food. I was so excited to try this place since they had 4 1/2 stars and wanted something good for breakfast/ brunch. However I should've followed my first mind and went to Ole's. Let me start by saying the guy behind the counter who took my order was super sweet. I asked what he recommended he said the chilaquiles. I love some good chilaquiles. Scrambled eggs or an over easy egg with crispy tortilla chips and a nice sauce is what I expected. Instead I got what looked like dog food and smelled like week old food. The chips were soggy and smothered in black beans. The cook or kid with a summer job in the kitchen, sliced up an avocado and poured cotija cheese to cover up the mush they served me. It was the beyond disgusting. I wish I could've gotten my money back but again the guy was super nice and for that reason I wasted a good $15.00-20.00. Yet that won't stop me from warning others to not waste your money like I did. This is not the spot to go to if you want an edible brunch.

Yelp
Had been wanting to try this place and I'm glad I did. A hidden gem in the neighborhood. Although there were a couple of regular tables, most of the seating were at high-top tables; I guess since it was a wine bar first before a breakfast joint. It was a bit of a challenge with little ones as the table was at their eye level and also making sure they don't slid off the seat. However with that said, it was still a kid friendly spot! The place was casual and chill. We actually met the artist that had their artwork featured at the place. That was cool! Service was ok. Although It took a while for the food to come out, it was delicious! I had the lox crostini and it was wonderful! The toasted crostini had just the perfect crunchiness and packed with flavors. The tomatoes were so fresh! We also enjoyed the croque madame, the 3 egg omelette and the bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich accompanied by the smooth and creamy Vanilla and Hazelnut lattes. Oh my.., the ube Bundt cake was scrumptious!!! The caramel drizzle added a touch of sweetness to this deliciousness. This is a must try!

Yelp
We only went here for dessert. We were sorely mistaken to assume that they didn't have a robust lunch menu! My family and I enjoyed our various seasonal desserts - peach and guava bundt cakes - and then my husband and I had ube lattes. My son went big and definitely did NOT go home with his nutella and strawberry croissant! We were very pleased and promised to return for brunch or lunch.

Yelp
This is Walt's Adventures and I am Walt and I am reporting to you from the Preacher's Daughter in Alameda, California. This eatery is a hidden gem which I found to be far above satisfactory. The large cheese and Charcuterie is a meal onto itself and worthy of sharing. Usually when a presentation is so perfect, one can expect that they had reached the climactic conclusion of the dish. I guarantee you that this was not the case here for the taste of this meat and cheese board was without precedent. It was the finest that I have ever experienced. One would think that the main lunch course would be hard to follow. It did so seamlessly as if the meals were prepared by a master conductor. The Bacon Pesto Flatbread was delicious with its bread soft, the homemade potato salad made my taste buds dance and even the Mac-n-cheese had my 13 year old daughter wanting more. 4 of 5 for the bacon did detract from the cheese a bit and the Prosciutto was a little more pure for my taste. Unlike the film centered in Oz, I knew there had to be someone behind the curtain here in Alameda for magic was wielded and I will be returning for another round of perfection.

Yelp
First time here for myself and my friend but it won't be my last time (my friend has already been back with out me) This venue is women owned There is nice decor inside (for sale) Indoor/outdoor seating Full bar (yaaay) Music is a vibe Customer service is awesome!! Prices are reasonable I noticed some tables were "reserved" obviously you can make reservations to secure a table I had 2 mimosas and avocado toast Mimosas were good and avocado toast was tasty I also had a side of fruit Fruit was fresh Parking situation: Street parking only They have a little coffee corner area they sell coffee and pastries Super cute

Yelp
Good sandwiches and good cocktails. It's a cool spot for a nice lunch on a summer day.

Yelp
Another great visit. Alexandra is such a pleasant individual. Great service. Enjoy the outside dining and dog friendly environment. The food is amazing as always. My son ordered the omelette with chips. Little less chips would be my only suggestion. Gets too greasy. Loved my lavender latte. Very subtle but so tasty.

Charleen W.

Yelp
Great laid back vibe. Good vegetarian options. Very nice portions. Outdoor seating with my dog. What's not to love?!

Lisa E.

Yelp
Ordered a grilled cheese, it came out cold. Only one side of bread was toasted (grilled), the other side was just plain ol' bread. The cheese was cold, pretty much unmelted. The potato salad was decent.

Janine L.

Yelp
Was looking forward to coming here after seeing such positive reviews on Yelp. We came for Sunday brunch and sat outside. Ambiance outside was in a parklet and pretty good, clean, and cute. Our dog came with us and our nephew. They only have 2 high chairs in the restaurant and both were in use so we couldn't get one. The server came and took our drink orders and food orders. We had a party of 6 adults and 1 kid. We asked if our dog could have some water and she never came back with any and wasn't sure if there was a dog bowl. After we ordered, we waited almost 1 hour before our food to come. The server never came to refill our water, service was spotty and we all had empty glasses after sitting outside for an hour. The food itself was okay. We had omelettes and I had the croque madame. Definitely not worth the wait of an hour to make. In the end, we waited so long for our check, I gave up and went inside to pay the bill and get to go boxes. We were automatically charged 20% because of our party of 6 despite the service being pretty awful. I'm not sure if it would be better service inside but I definitely would never come back again for brunch. Maybe their high reviews are more for dinner or the bar. I was pretty disappointed.

Jenny H.

Yelp
We got a mimosa flight. I liked the different flavor juices in it. If I remember correctly, it was mango, pineapple, and guava juice. I got the butterfly pea lavender lemonade with a shot of vodka. It is under mocktail but I asked the waiter if we can add alcohol. Keep in mind it was an extra $8 I think for the vodka. It was pretty good! We got the flat bread and croissant sandwiches. They were all pretty good! I definitely want to try their other sandwiches. The sandwiches came with chips or potato salad. The staff are nice and friendly. Restrooms are clean. Parking is okay! You may need to walk a little bit but it isn't that difficult to find parking! We ate outside and the sun felt nice. It can get a bit chilly so I'd bring a jacket in case you get cold.

Yelp
I've only ever ordered from Preacher's Daughter once early in the pandemic, but decided to give it a second chance today since my partner has never tried it. We made a short pit stop here around 10:30-11ish for a small brunch and opted to sit outdoors since it was nice and sunny. They have a good amount of seats both indoors and outdoors. Between my partner and I, we decided to share a Buddha Bowl and added Lox to it, and a vegan Snickerdoodle. Originally, I wanted to try their seasonal scone, but they sure ran out quick! Hopefully we get to try them next time. I also got an Ube Latte w/ Almond Milk (other non-dairy milk options are available), and my partner got a glass of Grapefruit Juice. My Ube Latte was not bad! Color wise, it's not as purple as I thought it would be, but that's a good sign in my opinion. My partner thought it has a pretty strong Ube taste. I, on the other hand, thought the coffee flavor was stronger than the Ube, but it still comes through! I liked that their Ube Latte came steaming hot. It got too sweet for me in the end, so if I ever come back, maybe I'll ask to adjust the sweetness of that's an option. As for the Buddha Bowl, for one, it's a good size light meal. For two, it's a small snack, haha. The bowl was refreshing, and the balsamic glaze added a nice contrast. There were a good amount of all ingredients and the veggies were pretty fresh! I can see why it's a popular item. Lastly, the vegan Snickerdoodle! This was a perfect little sweet snack! It was crispy on the outside, but chewy on the inside. The only way I can describe the taste of this Snickerdoodle is that it as a hint of burnt cinnamon, in a good way. All in all, we enjoyed our little brunch here and would certainly come back to try some other menu items. As we didn't stay for too long, I can't say much about the service since there wasn't too much interaction, but staff seemed nice from what I can gleam!

Yelp
It was a Sunday afternoon and we decided to change things up a bit by exploring the streets of Alameda for something to eat. We drove up and down Park and Webster and settled on The Preacher's Daughter. I looked up the menu and there was a variety of items that looked tasty. When we walked up to the storefront, we could hear jazz music. HOW FANTASTIC! There was live music coming from the band playing in the outside area. I could hear sax, guitar and drums and eventually there would be a singer joining them. My Hubby likes to try Bloody Mary's whenever we go out for breakfast or brunch, so why not? He really enjoyed the flavor and the spice of the mix and said the amount of vodka, horseradish and celery salt was balanced. This drink paired well with his chopped salad. The salad serving was generous but he was able to finish it with no problem. I opted for a water and the preacher's daughters chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with potato salad. Now, I am super picky with potato salad, as I can duplicate my Gramma's Hawaiian potato salad to a tee. I don't like too many items in my salad, the basic items will do. Now, I am a stickler for weighing and measuring my food so this was a perfect serving size for me as it offered me 3 additional meals if I chose to eat it later. What ended up happening instead was my son enjoyed the left over sandwich and the potato salad. He said it was, "DELICIOUS". I'm looking forward to enjoying a different item from the menu and hope to go on a Sunday, when they have live music playing. GOOD JOB PREACHER'S DAUGHTER.

Yelp
5 stars all day! The photos I have posted aren't from todays visit but felt compelled to finally write a review. Everything ordered was fulfilling and delicious. 3 egg omelet w corn chowder as the side Bacon egg and cheese croissant w potato salad as the side Shaken Mango Iced Tea Iced Ube Latte - Hefty add ons for the omelet - Corn chowder is a BIG recommend - Croissant sandwich was overflowing with eggy goodness - Ratios for shaken tea was perfect - Ube latte gave me that comforting sensation (im filipino so im particular with my ube flavored tings) Shoutouts to Caleb for the service, too. On point.

Yelp
Wonderful food. Music was just right for a Sunday morning. Thanks! Park across the street - it will make your visit easier.

Yelp
Great drinks, great food, great music, great atmosphere. The charcuterie plate is amazing.

Yelp
Stop by this spot for Saturday brunch. Quant place with a patio. I did enjoy the laid back feel. I had this delicious croissant with Nutella and strawberries with a couple mimosas (I was there for the drinks!) as I watched my friends get their food, everything was plated so beautifully. It looked tasty and was good. Stay ways from the tap water at this spot. I didn't care for the smell. The waitress brought us a bottle of sparkling water and it was good.

Came here for Sunday brunch with a group of 7, and found that the wait wasn't too long for a typically busy day and time. The space itself is well lit, with high ceilings and lots of room. There are sets of tables and a bar area that can accommodate a variety of different groups. The staff was attentive and helped whenever we had questions about the menu. I ended up trying out the Croque Madame and mimosa flight (guava, pineapple, mango, orange); the Croque Madame was accompanied by a fresh pasta soup. The breakfast sandwich had a nice smooth texture and was packed with flavor and softness! Food might be a little pricey but let's be real, you're paying for quality here. I'd definitely come back again!

Yelp
My SIL and I had such a wonderful lunch today! First time for both of us. It was the restaurant's third anniversary, so they treated all patrons to a free glass of Prosecco. Very thoughtful and what a wonderful way to share the joy of their anniversary. I enjoyed the Farmer's Daughter Croissant. And my SIL had the Buddha Bowl, which is vegan- just not labeled with the "VG." SIL also asked for a decaf coffee and was brought a delicious decaf Americano. Our server was delightful, engaging, and was the cherry on top of our amazing luncheon. Looking forward to return visit!

Yelp
Excellent service, ambiance, food, and cocktails. The lettuce was really fresh and the beets, arugula, and other veggies with feta was really fresh too; with a delightful and light citrus dressing. They also have lavendar lattes and a rose one too! I highly recommend this local establishment! Parking was pretty easy right in front at metered parking.

Yelp
Preacher's Daughter is such a pleasant and casual brunch spot! This is my second time coming for brunch and it did not disappoint! Preacher's Daughter has a nice outdoor seating area! It wasn't crowded when we arrived for lunch and we got seated right away. One of my favorite items on the menu is the Buddha Bowl - it has quinoa , cherry tomatoes, beets, avocado, mushroom with a balsamic glaze! I like it because it's such a balanced meal and makes me feel quite healthy! Tasty and healthy is the perfect pairing! For this time, my party and I also ordered the Roasted Mushroom Flatbread and the Farmer's daughter Croissant. Both were solid plates with a good amount of food! However, I got a Chai Latte and I was a little disappointed. The Chai flavor was lacking and I only tasted steamed milk. I probably won't be trying this again. Overall, my girlfriends and I enjoyed our brunch at Preacher's Daughter and definitely wouldn't mind coming again!

Yelp
What a treasure this place is! Fantastic food and outstanding service. I highly recommend.

Yelp
The restaurant was medium - busy at the 1:00 pm hour and that was to be expected. The lunch consisted of my Hawaiian chicken sandwich and my friend's omelet. It was prepared fine and was served pretty quick. The sandwich was okay - even maybe bland despite the Hawaiian-ness it sorta lacked that "omg I'm sad because it's my last bite" sorta thing too. It was okay and lackluster. My friend enjoyed his 3 egg omelet and said it was perfect. What my point is here is that I'm completely conflicted about what else to say. Recommended! It's good food fast and it's local. Decide amongst yourselves I just can't say - the jury still out !

Yelp
Delicious brunch. Simple, but tasty build your own omelettes or scrambles. I got the omelette with provolone, chorizo, cherry tomatoes and red onions. It was a great combo! The coffee was good too, nice and bold and came in a cute mug. All breakfasts come with a side of fruit, salad, chips, or soup. The decor is chill and trendy. There are really cool paintings on the wall and the style reminds me of a casual wine bar. I would come here to study or work too with coffee or a glass of wine. They also do trivia nights and paint nights, which sounds cool! I'm definitely coming back here and I'm so glad to find this gem in alameda.

Yelp
We stopped by here for a bite while exploring Alameda downtown. I liked that they had sit-down dining in addition to a bar and coffee bar; they really have it all. The server was very pleasant and informed us of all the things they have during the week, like trivia and band nights. It was a cozy atmosphere and responsive service. The food pairings were very tasty. We got a flatbread and salad to share, which turned out amazing. Loved the way all the flavors went together. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Had a lunch here on cold afternoon. It was quite packed inside. I ordered the fig and prosciutto sandwich - it had butter lettuce and Brie. So good - I'd come here again for a to go order.

Yelp
Looking for a pick me up after eating some delicious Italian food, we stopped by The Prescher's Daughter to grab a cup of coffee and chu chu board of meats and cheese. The staff was friendly and attentive. Little to no wait to get seated and order our goodies. There was live music to help set the atmosphere of the place. All in all a fun time to be had no alcohol required... But I did partake lol.

Yelp
Stopped in for coffee and a quick bite while hanging around Alameda for the day. We got lucky it wasn't very busy on a warm Sunday afternoon. We were seated quickly, got drinks and food quickly and the server was very friendly! We sat outside since the weather was so nice and enjoyed the sun. We split a sandwich and soup of the day, both were very tasty! Would definitely drop here again and recommend stopping in. Can't wait to try more of the amazing food!

Yelp
A couple of Fridays ago, I had the pleasure of heading back to Alameda to enjoy a nice lunch. I found this place & enjoyed the following with a dear friend: a delicious sugar-free vanilla latte w/oatmilk & two yummy sandwiches = The Dirty Turkey & Prosciutto & Fig both served with a cup of potato soup. Loved the chill vibe from such a welcoming spot. Oh & check out the random selfie my phone took! Good times.

Yelp
What a fun place to hang out with friends and/or family especially on Thursday evening for the Trivia night. Ambiance is very casual. Service is great, drink selection is great. Food options are limited and simple but it's delicious and the price is reasonable.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to get some work done and came here. This place is nice and chill but more for a social meet. Not so much for someone wanting to get some work done. But I had a caramel latte and a strawberry Nutella croissant and they were really good. Services was good, but parking a bit hard to find. Overall I would come back with a friend on a weekend.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant several times and want to say that everything I've had here is super delicious. I especially love their soups-wholesome and warm, and they do not skimp on ingredients. Their vegetable soup is loaded with nutritious vegetables, their tomato soup sweet chunks of tomatoes, and today's carrot ginger sweet potato soup was creamy, sweet and savory, also loaded with chunks of sweet potatoes. Their dirty turkey sandwich is so delish-the croissant is super crispy, and everything inside the sandwich has a wonderful balance of flavors. Staff is super friendly, efficient, and goes the extra mile to make sure their customers are well taken care of. I look forward to the next time I stop by and would love to try more sandwiches and soups!

Yelp
This cafe is a bright and cheery spot for brunch on a lazy weekend. My friend and I enjoyed it and I would enjoy going back, and maybe sit outside at a patio table. It was busy (as brunch in a good place usually is) when we were there so getting server attention took a little extra time but not bad at all. The food and coffee were good.

Yelp
It's hard to feel like anything is fresh and new after living somewhere for 8 years (especially somewhere as small as Alameda,) but Preacher's Daughter surprised me! I'm not sure how I've dodged this place for so long (not purposefully, I assure you.) It had a really good vibe - bright and cheerful, kind wait staff, nice menu assortment. Not pretentious, but still felt quite modern and yet also like it's been around for years...very cozy! A few friends and I ended up there for dinner and found trivia happening, which was good 'ole fun. I also loved the affordable, local art (why, oh why, is this so hard to find in the Bay Area??) The combination of coffee shop + bar is great for morning or night. I look forward to making this a regular spot!

Yelp
I've been meaning to come here for months and I am SO GLAD we finally came today. This is a beautiful spot with kind employees and delicious food. I love the menu, the vibes, the decor and the live music they had while we were here on a Sunday afternoon. Don't be like me and put it off - come here now! Also women & minority owned!! Love love love
