The Press Box

Service is always very good. The cook should stay in the back instead of flirting with the waitresses so it doesn't take 40 minutes for spin dip. We love the atmosphere here for games, and they're very accommodating of larger parties as they have an upstairs as well. We will continue to come in when we need some great atmosphere and service for a game!

The staff did a great job. I was not super impressed with the food. The chili tasted like uncooked paprika and chili powder, the meat in the burger was not seasoned and relied on the sauce to make up for it, and the daily pizza special had no sauce and the toppings just fell off the thin crust. The French dip was ok but the roast beef was just stacked in the middle so it was a thick wad of meat. We had a hot brownie with ice cream for dessert and that was the best dish. Hard to screw up a brownie . I would try here again but it definitely does not deserve as high of a rating as it has. Average food, at best

Great spot to grab a burger and watch a game 🔥 the food tends to be either overcooked or undercooked the couple times I’ve been there but the staff is great. Forgot to take photos of the other dishes I’ve had lol but the French onion soup is excellent.

Waitress was very sweet, food came out as ordered hot and well prepared. Decent beer selection. Menu is comprehensive. They were "in the weeds" when we got there, but got us drinks quickly and were attentive during the wait for our order.

It was a cold rainy night and the only seating was outside. The fire pit was nice but it was still chilly. The fire pit did create a nice atmosphere. We were sitting near the opening so it was still a little chilly. Food was okay. I personally had the chicken fajitas which was okay. The flavor reminded me of packaged seasoning. Wasn't a big fan. My cousin had a burger. He said that it was okay. The restroom wasn't very clean. It may just be because they had a party going on.

Great meal again today! The Friday fish special, with mac & cheese, was delicious. Their fried fish is some of the best in the area. Victoria was attentive, and service was quick.

It's a cozy place down by the marina. I was there on a slow night, so I had time to just relax and have a leisurely dinner. I enjoyed my food, though it was a little pricey. Spent $22 on a chicken Cesar salad after tip. I plan to return some other time to try a few of their other menu items.

Prices are pretty good, food was amazing! Tried the Omaha panini, the spinach wrap side salad and fries and everything was great. Look wise. It is really neat, lots of memorabilia and the wood work looks really nice. The ppl are nice too. Definitely recommend 💯

The press box is a short walk from the marina we are staying at. It has outdoor seating and indoor and she could imagine with the name like the press boxers TV so all over inside. Service was great and the food was outstanding. I was actually here last night for taking out takeout brought a Ruben home for Peggy. I forgot it was sitting on the refrigerator so here we are at the press box again . We split the lemon chicken dinner with two side salads it was all great would definitely do it again. Recommended if you're in the area. The ambience was outstanding. Everything was neat and clean. A fun place to go. You should try it out sometime. The old guy

*Take out*~. Always served exactly as if you were sitting in their sports bar! The Omaha Panini with sweet potato fries is what hits the spot on a night not to cook! However this sports bar is cozy in the winter and breezy on the deck in the summer- the family owned business tops it off with friendliness and attention to detail!

Perfect spot to watch the game with lots of TVs, big open room and large bar. We both ordered burgers and enjoyed them; they were exactly what we'd expect from "bar food" in the sense that they were well cooked and yummy, but nothing out of the ordinary. Good service and lots of locals. Good spot for a Sunday NFL game day!

This place is a dive. Aside from a very nice deck out front the place is beat. Dirty and dated. Took FOREVER to get our food on a Friday night that didn't seem slammed. Had to have been near an hour. I had a Buffalo chicken pizza which was mystifying. Somehow they had cooked it so that the edge of the crust was the hardest piece of bread I ever put in my mouth- no seriously this thing was rock solid. The rest of the pizza? Soggy as a wet napkin. Mystifying I say. It definitely tasted like Buffalo sauce so there's that. My partner had a burger- she said "it was mid". I will not be returning and I would not recommend for you to go either.

Good place to get beers and watch the game. Good place to hang out with friends and get a burger. I ordered the cheeseburger quesadilla, not that great. But the servers are really nice and to be honest, I like this place. But it is literally a burger joint. And that's about it.

This restaurant was recommended by a local. We arrived about 6ish and were seated at an outside table as requested. The outside tables were full and the waitresses were busy. It was a beautiful night so it was a pleasure to enjoy it. The waitress took our order for drinks and we ordered immediately after our drinks arrived. I had the fish sandwich with coleslaw and French fries. It was hot and crispy! The fries were not so hot however. Coleslaw was as expected and tasty. My husband had soup, salad and an Italian panini. The soup was delicious and the salad was fresh and crispy. His panini was filled with Italian meats and cheese. Overall, the food was good and prices were reasonable. I would come back again!

Stole my hard earned money. My wife and I got burgers and my wife asked if it came with veggies. ( she doesn't not like veggies on her burger). The waitress said yeah it comes with lettuce, tomato, and onion. We then proceeded to tell her no thanks with veggies on the burger, you can put them on the side, my husband will eat them. When we got the check at the end of our meal, we were then charged extra for lettuce, tomato, and onion because apparently it didn't actually come with the burger in the first place. when we then asked the waitress about this issue all she had to say was "oh yeah sorry ". If something is an extra charge, your responsibility as a waitress is to inform your customer! Also we asked for well done burgers and they were pink all the way through.

In town for a baseball tourney, walked in at 3pm and asked for reservation for 30 for dinner. Manager was so nice and accommodating, letting us know we could come back at 7pm that night. Kids played cornhole out front while parents enjoyed some drinks. At 7pm we were seated, great service and food was very good. Burgers, salads and wraps. Wings were covered in sauce and tasty. TVs were on with baseball games, great atmosphere. Would definitely go back next time we're in town.

Cool venue, nice atmosphere. Wings were overcooked and service was average. Coworkers I came with had their side of onion rings come out 10 minutes after getting their burgers. Pulled pork nachos were phenomenal.

Very disorganized! They seemed to have plenty of help, but were still running around crazy!Table service very bad, Sitting at the bar , service was very good! Food took for ever to arrive, but was hot and fresh. Food Quality was just ok. Restaurant was unpleasantly loud, ac seemed broken. Expense for this poor quality!

A decent place to stop in for a bite to eat. We sat outside bad it was nice. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food didn't blow us away but it was alright. My father in law got the wings and was disappointed that they are serving 8 wings instead of 12 because of the shortage. Weird because we've had wings a few times since being in the area and no one else is doing that. Also, it's weird that they are giving less food and not reducing the price. My father in law got the Caesar salad and it was good, but it wasn't Caesar dressing. He said it was some time of vinaigrette with Parmesan cheese. I had the tuna steak. It was a good size and the Mayo on it was good, but the tuna lacked flavor. The drinks were decent but a little on the small side. It seems like this would be a fun place to hang out and get drinks, but the food won't blow you away.

It's just not my place to go eat. I don't care for the menu and always end up getting fried shrimp and waffle fries every time I have to eat there. I try to get out of going there for any meal.

First off, I want to mention how impressed I was by the service. I went around lunch on a Sunday during a major local NFL game. It was a bit confusing since we didn't know if we need to seat ourselves, or be seated. After just a few minutes standing looking around, we were helped. Our server was great and returned regularly to check on us, even if the restaurant was hectic. We were able to be seated quickly and the wait for the food wasn't very long. I got the pulled pork nachos and a triple jam cider. While the nachos were delicious, I'd have preferred significantly less coleslaw. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would go back again.

the food isn't close to what was asked - Had soup that was lukewarm on a warm day - Salad took over 30 min .. cancelled order before it came out - still wanted to charge for it even tho it wasn't served ??? - Wings that were still flapping their wings - ordered extra extra extra crispy ( sent back immediately ) and still wanted to charge for them even tho not eaten ..?? ?? ?? ?? "Took off $5.00 " on order that wasn't eaten and immediately sent back and then a second attempt to charge by "gonna ask the manager " it's never to ok charge at all when order is completely wrong and immediately sent back. - Regretted the 25% guilt tip and didn't realize I've always tipped at least that much - Will be conscientious going forward on tipping - I think it's 10 - 15% for good service depending My bad

Nice place with great food, service and decor! We really enjoyed dining here. Our waitress was very pleasant to deal with. The food was delicious and portions were generous. We ate indoors because it was windy and rainy but the outside dining looked awesome.

Stopped for lunch after a fishing charter. Easy parking, and was seated quickly. Our server was in no hurry and really not very friendly, like she wanted to be somewhere else. There were plenty of waitstaff. Food took a little longer than desired, but not a horrible waitstaff. Food comes out and the server is slinging food on the table, not really paying attention and spills a soup right on me. She brings a cloth, apologizes and offers to bring more water. She didn't offer another soup, we had to ask. She checked back once more and vanished. Had to hunt her down to pay the bill, no discount for the spill at all. Food was decent pub food, but service absolutely unacceptable.

Food is wonderfully delicious and servers are quick efficient and right on the ball.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Went on Mother's Day. Was not busy there were about 4-5 empty tables. The food took forever. We all got burgers they brought out all of them except for 1 (a plain cheeseburger) we were told it would be out in a minute. The fries were cold so we asked for new ones. 20 minutes later the burger came out. The fries never came. We asked for the late burger to be comped due to everyone being done eating. The manager came over with no apologies and a bad attitude. Very unprofessional. She said you have to pay for food you eat we aren't comping anything. We are backed up. I said I would be contacting the owner and she walked away and said "good luck with that" Managers name was Ann K Very disappointed because we used to come a lot. Will never be coming back!!!!!

Pretty good place right by Lake Ontario. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant seemed like it was starting to get busy, but we managed to grab one of the high tops amongst the windows right away. Within 5 minutes or so, our server came over to take a drink order. They have around 17 beers on tap, all very mainstream and no drink menu that we could see. Our order was taken for drinks and an appetizer, then we waited.. and waited, which makes sense since it was a fairly busy Saturday. The Buffalo chicken nachos were delicious! Whoever made them is an Angel for layering the cheese between EVERY chip :) I got the banana burger and it was delicious! My only qualm with it was that the bun was cold to the touch and there wasn't any tomato or anything on it. Since our server was running around like a madman (we didn't see her the rest of the meal), I was an adult about it and just enjoyed my time there. The food was good, the price was expected, but I feel like the experience fell short somewhere.. service maybe? The hostess was beyond pleasant, but the two servers we interacted with were lacking.

Good food and a nice atmosphere. Only criticism is that the service is a bit slow. I was by myself and it took some time for a beer and a flatbread pizza. But overall a nice place.

Service was outstanding. Good food and enjoyed the atmosphere with a bunch of friends. Will be back!

Actually enjoyed in late August & returning for parents weekend @SUNY Oswego in late October!Ambiance whether on the porch seating or inside, I consider definitely a place to enjoy delicious soup, salad or burger!!

Press Box will always hold a special place in my heart. Great bar to come to in the fall for football, great bar to come to in the summer for outdoor seating with a view. It's got a comfortable feel not your typical bar/pub it's never really loud and wild. The food: Burgers-Usually decent but never spectacular. They're often bland, and overall really just nothing great. However..the bacon and blue cheese is by far the best in my opinion because the flavor in those ingredients make up for the blandness of the burger. Buffalo chicken dip- 5/5 this is great if you're a buffalo chicken fan like myself. You get a nice serving of chips and the flavor in the dip is amazing. Buffalo chicken nachos- 100/5 these are essentially the reason for the 4 star review. I've been out of OZ for a while and have had nothing that compares to these. It's become my go-to meal every time I come here. They're absolutely amazing. If an orgasm could be made into something tangible this is what it'd look like. Buffalo chicken fan, not a buffalo chicken fan these are the answer...and probably the cure for a lot of the worlds problems. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Don't bother asking for a menu, cause there's only one thing to order here.

Went here after a drive on a sunny day. Fairly busy but we were seated quickly. Fast and attentive wait staff. Had a posta ella veggie sandwich, DELICIOUS! The have outdoor seating with the personal fires in the table...Very pleasing experience!

One of the worst experiences I've had in awhile, service was sub par not very friendly and slow considering not very busy, wings were soggy and the overly tangy sauce was not very good, the worst cuban sandwich I've ever had pork was mushy and ham was cooked in grease ,fries and tenders were barely warm like they sat in the window to long, the restaurant itself looked nice unfortunately everything else wasn't, I will not be returning

A nice little place tucked in the corner of an office building across the street from hotel I was staying at. Server was attentive and efficient. I loved the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, it reminded me of home. Prices are very reasonable and will definitely stop in again when I am in the area.

The garlic parm boneless chicken wings were so good and so were the waffle fries. Id eat again.

Was so excited to come here for dinner as my husband and I attended SUNY Oswego in the 90's and were in town to show our son the campus. We were greeted by a very friendly server and seated promptly outside, which was great on a busy Friday night. Unfortunately the rest of the experience was subpar. Our server was very friendly and sweet but service was so slow. We had nachos, a burger, and a fish sandwich. We ordered a refill on drinks when our food came but were done by the time we were served. Bill took a long time too. Food was fine, nothing great. Great spot, just need a bit more attention to detail.

I love this place. If you're into sports, the PB has both several large flat screens playing Live games and even individual table flat screens that you can choose your own games from a variety of channels. Full service bar for those wanting more than beer. The food is tasty. The buffalo chicken nachos are awesome (I get them with grilled chicken breast vs fried chicken tenders to make it gluten free). Speaking of which, they have a dedicated gluten free fryer for fries! There's several menu turns that are gluten free or can be made GF. My fave is the baked haddock sandwich (no bun) with GF fries. It's awesome! Theres also several hard ciders (naturally GF) available. I hear the pizza is excellent, but since it's not GF I can't personally comment. There's several copious salad options for those wanting lighter fare. The atmosphere is cozy. Warm propane fireplaces really keep it toasty on cold winter nights. You can sit outside in the summer on the patio. The servers are friendly and efficient. They do a great job for office holiday parties too (think quesadillas, shrimp cocktail, nachos, pizza-if it's on the menu, they'll do it). It's as good as it gets for inexpensive, tasty fare.

The food takes awhile to come. Options aren't that great in my opinion and the staff isn't that great but friendly.

Was in town for a hockey game. Thought we'd give it a shot for lunch. Our table had Buffalo nachos, parm wings and waffle fries. Everything was good and reasonably priced. Server was good and efficient. Would recommend and would likely return if back to Oswego.

The food is absolutely amazing. There is not a doubt that the quality of the meals are home made, delicious and impressive in size and quantity. The loss of stars is the abysmal attention. We ordered our drinks and got them quickly. However, we ordered 3 appetizers to eat as our dinners and 2 came out together and the second came out 17 minutes later and the ranch we asked for came out later than that. My husband couldn't get another drink until he went up to the bar and asked for it. He went up and paid for it at the bar. No check ins no "is everything ok". Maybe they are understaffed. Maybe it's Saturday. Doesn't matter. The food is amazing and the beer selection is stellar. It's a real shame. Edited to add: I have a real gripe when a waitress drops the check off without a thank you or "anything else?" But some folks have JUST sat down to order beers and got menus. I would come back to eat for sure and give it another chance. For now a solid 3.

First time here! Came to lunch with a friend. The food was amazing and loved the atmosphere. Definitely plan on returning good prices and nice spot by the lake.

I am not one for sports bar/grill type places but I LOVE the Press Box. The menu and decor has a cute baseball/athletic theme, small tvs at every booth table,the food choices have simple and delicious ingredients, and the prices are pretty reasonable! Don't expect dirt cheap but for the quality it is exceptional. My boyfriend and I had a grilled chicken pesto panini on wheat and a classic bacon burger. Both were delicious, and we spent around 25 bucks. TIP- most sandwiches and burgers come with a pickle and potato chips, if you want French fries be prepared to pay a little extra! Overall, a classic diner/grill type place with fresh, delicious food and great atmosphere.

The Press Box in Oswego my. What a fun place. Yankees on TV! Even outside in the open air where we sat in the summer. Inside is great also, in cooler weather. Colleen got pepperoni pizza and I got chicken fajita. Simple food but absolutely delicious! Waitresses were awesome, drinks were refilled quickly. Prices were very reasonable. Tuxedo bomb for desert. Just fantastic! Must try.

Every year we go to Oswego for our annual salmon fishing trip. We usually go to the Pressbox because it's across the street from our hotel. We won't make that mistake again. The food is usually ok but this year one of the specials listed was a lobster salad sandwich for $9.99. I thought that was a great price and didn't really think that they would use that CHEAP DISGUSTING IMITATION LOBSTER MEAT. Well they did. I should have sent it back but didn't. The IDIOT that made the decision to deceive customers should be fired! Doesn't NY state have laws against false representation. Anyway you should be ashamed of serving such utter CRAP!

This is what a sports bar in this area should look and feel like. Plenty of screens everwhere, too many waitresses, decent beer selection, I d prefer more choices but I can be a beer snob. Came here after work cause my friend wanted to stop here. My problem was I was still full from lunch cause work catered in a smorgasbord lunch and hours later I wasnt hungry and it was dinner time so I ate light . Anyway, my pal wanted the pulled pork nachos something Id never order but was fantastic!! I then had the club sandwich which was decent but I was FULL!! Sampled several beers which were good. Service was good and I joked with the waitresses. A fun place to return to.

Try the Pulled Pork Sandwich, you will not regret it. I get mine without Coleslaw but to each their own. But everything on the menu is good. And the outside seating is really nice.

The service is absolutely terrible. Sitting here waiting for our food for 45 minutes. The waitress is nowhere to be found. All we did was order sandwiches. then another 30 minutes waiting for the check. Terrible food as well. never going there again.

Our server had zero personality, it seemed as if she did not want to be there. We waited over 30 minutes for 2 servings of 8 chicken wings. Also, never heard of a place only have 8 wings in an order instead of 10 or 12... especially for $11/order. Not to mention the wings were tiny, not extra crispy like as ordered, and the sauce was horrible. Never in my life have I had sweet and sour sauce on wings for their mild sauce. Overall 3/10 would not recommend.

We were seated promptly, that's about the best I can say for the place, after that it was all downhill. The table full of college kids next to us came in well after us, but had their drinks and food order taken before anyone offered us water. I was ready to leave, but my wife flagged down the waitress taking care of the college kids. She took our order, eventually a different waitress delivered our order. Our food was okay, it was warm but certainly not hot, and certainly nothing to rave about. Standard bill of fare in every sports bar everywhere. It spent some considerable time under a heat lamp before it got to us. We had to flag down the waitress to get the check otherwise we might still be sitting there waiting. The place just was not that busy! Our waitress seamed bothered at having to take time away from the college kids to serve us. In total we spent an hour and 45 minutes for a burger and fries with a beer and an order of chicken fingers for my wife. The poor performance cost our waitress when it was time for me to leave a tip and next time we're in town we will certainly avoid this place... A very disappointing sports bar!

Outdoor patio dining was great. We shared The Reuben sandwich and the bacon blue burger with sweet potatoe fries. Both excellent! Great service, attentive but not pesty. Definitely coming again and again. Menu choices were exceptional.

Our server was very bitter, didn't really care to be there at all, hardly spoke to us and didn't really ask if we needed anything. We were very new here and weren't aware of what drinks to get, what were meal favorites or anything. so of course, we ordered the wrong things and I didn't even ask about what wine to get because she seemed so unhappy and not wanting to help. I was extremely disappointed with how my service was, for being my first time. BUT the chicken wing dip was great, besides the fact that they gave us hardly any chips and made us pay for more. my husband also enjoyed his beer.

I strongly dislike the vibe and presentation of this restaurant. I don't like the old vibe look, because it looks like I'm in a church when in this place. The wings are good, but the other food is so so so average! The wraps made me want to hurl. Very average food and not worth the price.

You know when you order a salad and you get iceberg white, you're in trouble. My lunch companions reported the pesto sauce had no pesto, the chili sauce for the popcorn shrimp had no spice. In general, the food was mediocre at best. The service was worse.. my daughter had to make two request and wait 20 minutes for her water. We were served 40 minutes after we arrived. We would never return because Alex's across the street at the Best Western had great, flavorful food, great drinks and great service. I mead a half star option for this one.
