I searched on Google for great cocktail spots nearby, and this place came up, it did not disappoint. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and recommended a whiskey drink, thoughtfully explaining the flavor notes in the whiskey. I started with a dessert paired with a cocktail called Fan Club, then transitioned into the whiskey afterward. This cozy gem is tucked away on the second floor of the AC Hotel. I sat at the bar and really enjoyed watching the bartender craft each drink with skill and attention to detail. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

Alex was hands-down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made the experience better. His drink recommendations were spot-on, everything was made perfectly, and he kept the energy fun while still being incredibly professional. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. If you’re lucky enough to have Alex behind the bar, you’re in for a great night. Can’t recommend him enough.

I’m very glad I made a sudden decision to check this awesome spot out! The ambience is well-curated, with a decor style that smartly mixes modern and 1930’s-40’s themes. Georgia gave me a warm welcome and kindly helped me find a spot since I arrived without a reservation. My server, Kate, helped me find a drink I’d like since I wanted something with American whiskey. I gave her the caveat that Alex (the bartender) can put whatever spin on an old fashioned he’d like to. He definitely delivered with this lovely Old Fashioned that had a nice smoky flavor from the usage of chocolate bitters (rather than traditional angostura). Book this place for your next date or night out! You won’t regret it!

I attended the Cazadores espresso martini event with 7 friends for a Christmas celebration. Rude management - 2 of us arrived early and grabbed 2 small tables so we could all sit together ( a couch on one side). When our entire party had arrived we were told by the bar manager we were not allowed to sit together since there would be food on small plates and she couldn’t allow us? If we didn’t mind squeezing, why did she care? We asked more than once and were told no. 2 of our party had to sit at a different table with their backs to us all night. Poor timing and service - The event started at 6:30 and was going to have 4 small courses. By the time the Cazadores rep spoke and 17 people got in line to make the espresso martinis, it was after 7:30 before the first few shrimp showed up? Tequila tasting on an empty stomach. Ugh!! The fried green tomatoes and beef cheeks were ice cold since they had to come down from Juniper’s kitchen. Liquor review - The Cazadores blanco was like sniffing rubbing alcohol, the reposado not much better, the agave was palatable. While in line to make espresso martinis they ran out of the agave because everyone used it as it was the only palatable one. The bartender would not allow us to substitute for another kind of liquor. I paid the same $75 everyone else did! Summary - There are so many amazing, delicious, accommodating places to dine and drink in Greenville, I would not go back to The Press Room.

The Press Room is a hidden gem in downtown Greenville—an elegant speakeasy-style cocktail lounge that perfectly blends class, creativity, and comfort. The atmosphere is intimate and sophisticated, with soft lighting, rich décor, and a relaxed, upscale vibe. Cocktails are exceptional—crafted with care and originality—and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. It’s the ideal spot for date nights, small groups, or anyone who appreciates great mixology in a refined setting. A must-visit for cocktail lovers in Greenville. Alex is phenomenal behind the bar.

Kate helped us and she was awesome! We got two cocktails and the shrimp cocktail and it was $60 post tax, pre-tip. The food was good, priced for a lounge environment so maybe a little overpriced but it was good. The drink cocktails were great! We got the KFC(I really don't recommend eating the garnish lol) but it was sweet and spicy and my husband got the strawberry Fields and he really liked it! Slightly sour slightly sweet and not overly strawberry-y. Atmosphere is great, had 3ish spots for groups of 4-7 and a bit of private tables. It's a small space but really cute! I highly recommend 💜

First time visiting this Greenville bar on Saturday, December 13. The music was too loud and inappropriate for a Saturday night, holiday season. The appetizer was a cold clump of cheese served in a small wine glass and had no flavor whatsoever. We got a surprise charge of $36 for the type of bourbon we requested in our Manhattan. The waitress did not circle back with us once to see how we were doing or how we liked our appetizer. Wanted this place to work, but unfortunately, we will not be back.
