There’s a reason this cafe is at the top of the list on “places to visit” when you come to Bowral. Good food. Good service. Cool vibes in the Southern Highlands. The salmon was tasty, so was the Mushroom Burger. The Green Smoothie was good too - don’t let the Kale fool you. Only gripe is how close the tables are to each other…maximising space I guess…

The food here is quite pricey. My friend and I ordered two dishes and two drinks (on a Wednesday), and the bill came to over 80 dollars. However, the atmosphere is great, and it’s definitely one of Bowral’s landmarks that tourists should consider visiting. I love my blue drink (forgot the name, but it’s smoothie something with spirulina)💙

Delicious breakfast, great atmosphere and the time between order and service of food was very fast. Highly recommend the Pannacotta (granola bowl), Eggs Benedict and the Turkish Eggs. All Delicious!

Lovely coffee, top quality breakfast with generous portions. Chef added just the right amount of herbs to the mushrooms to make them sing and nailed the over-easy eggs. Not the cheapest but bugger it, it's worth paying a few extra $$ for a truly great feed 👍

We ordered the ham hock eggs benedict and the fritatta with bacon, both were great! Very generous portion sizes, nice setting, overall would recommend.

Wow - what an amazing front door! Great place to see and be seen. The food, coffee and staff are wonderful. We were put on the bar stools along the front window, by the door and we loved it. Even though it was cold and busy, the staff did their best to make sure everyone was welcomed and looked after. The barista even took the time to look after someone near us - which was fantastic considering how busy he was! Highly recommended *****

Yelp
Very cute cafe in downtown Bowral. If it's a nice day outside, it's a great spot to sit outside and watch the passing parade. The breakfast menu is my favorite, you can't really go wrong with the poached eggs and toast. And the coffee is very good as well. This place is always busy for a reason, check it out if you're in the area.

Yelp
Where café meets craft The Press Club is a Bespoke letterpress shop and integrated café in the stunning setting of Bowral in the Southern Highlands. Locally owned, they source and prepare quality food and focus on using small farmers, producers and local supplies and organic food in order to best highlight what the Southern Highlands region has to offer. With fruits and vegetables from Moonacres farm, Piccolo Farm, Highlands organics, Brillig Farm, Living Earth Farm Truffles from Robertson truffles, olive oil from white chapel grove, mushrooms from Li-Sun, meats from maugers and Robertson village butchery, eggs from Taulca Park, honey from the Honey Collector, this café really shows respect to their local area. Head chef Nathan West has put together a delightful menu using these fine ingredients, and the meals tasted so fresh and were absolutely beautifully presented on the plate. Lunch is served from 12 - 3. As we were in a group, we were able to sample a few of the menu items. We would describe this as simple food, done in a very elegant way, showcasing the skills and vision of an inspired chef. The Waffles were served at a nice lunch size, not overbearing like many cafés these days. Topped with a refreshing coconut sorbet, peaches, mint and a white chocolate crumble. This dish is vegan and dairy free. The local greens frittata was laid on the plate atop a goats curd and decorated with herbs and lovely thin slices of potato crisp. The potato gnocchi was incredible. Served with new season tomatoes, roast onion puree, vino cotto and herbs, this dish is perfect for everyone, including vegetarian and vegan diners. Something the males of your group will love (as well as anyone else) is the Taluca Pork free range Cuban Sandwich with pickles. Fresh bread, great meat and served cut in half with cheese and a side of cucumber and herbs. There's also a roasted carrot dish, zucchini salad, beef brisket sandwich, eggs benedict and even a kiddies menu. I'm presuming this menu would change seasonally. Drinks wise, the coffee was great too. Speciality coffee, using beans from Cultivar, who source these from Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Costa Rica. You can have a regular milk based coffee, filter coffee, or a flavoured one like turmeric, matcha, velvet (beetrrot) or a hot choc. Organic teas, wild-grown herbal teas, house made iced tea, kobmucha and milkshakes are also on the menu. At the back of the café is a beautiful letter press shop selling handcrafted papers, cards and other lovely gifts. You can also see the letterpress machines and can understand the work that goes into making products of this quality in the old fashioned way. It's lovely to see them preserving this century old art form. Come for a few meals, coffee and leave with a satisfied belly and a few handicraft purchases.

Yelp
We were lucky and scored a nice table near the window. Service was not super quick, but food was good and portions huge. My fish and chips was OK, crispy salmon lovely, and pulled pork sandwich was enough to feed two. Loved the green juice. Would definitely stop in again.

Yelp
With all the cafe competition in Bowral you would think opening a new one you would be on point. Sadly not!! From the very limited, unimaginative menu offerings to the unfriendly cardboard staff and lack of freshly squeezed juice of any kind they really missed the mark. Ordering at the counter REALLY???? Golden Arches any one? A pity really as the fit out and location are great. Give it a miss until new owners take over.

Yelp
Ate at The Press Shop Saturday. Beautiful autumn day in Bowral and the cafe was buzzing. How deceptive that was! Very, very disappointing. Waited an extraordinary time for the meal. Coffee arrived pretty quickly but the rest maybe 40 minutes later. Someone was apologising to other patrons for the delays, assume the owner. Ordered the warm beetroot salad with baked ricotta, crushed walnuts and nasturtiums, along with a green salad. By the time we got our meal we were over it. The warm beetroot salad looked lovely and was nice but the green salad was inedible (no one returned with the pepper mill either - although we were asked if we wanted cracked pepper). For the green salad the top leaves were fresh but underneath they were slimy and disintegrating from too long sitting in a overly acidic vinaigrette (doubt it had been freshly made). Then I found the slug (?) droppings on one leaf and that did it for me. Yes there are lots of options in Bowral. Why would we go back. Not me!
