On the Grid : The Primary Essentials

"This light and airy boutique is a haven for those who seek unique home goods and textiles to make Pinterest dreams a reality. The goods are selectively stocked, with an eye for material, shape and texture. They also focus on representing independent designers and artisans, so you can be sure what you find here will be unique and tasteful - no filter needed." - Brooklyn Digital Foundry

"Helmed by fashion stylist Lauren Snyder (she’s worked for Bergdorf Goodman and Glamour), The Primary Essentials revolves around goods that feel hand-worked—but never crafty. Gorgeous indigo-dyed textiles and simple quilts mingle with Earth Tu Face body washes, simple canvas carryalls from Joshu + Vela, and blue ceramic studs from Jujumade."

Love the shop Love the collections But the lady at the check out dest isn’t that friendly to the customer. It was our 5th visit to get a scent stick and the time we entered the shop was roughly 20mins before closing. However, without any notice, she just half closed the shutter kind of giving us the sign to leave. It could’ve been more polite way to inform us verbally but it was a bit embarrassing for us. . Recommend the shop! But don’t expect for certain service.

Beautiful gift and home goods store. So many unique home decor items. I bought a super cute handmade mug set and napkins.

Really love this store. It’s perfectly curated, with a vibe that’s Japanese-meets-Kinfolk.

Beautiful shop & great location. Unfortunately the shop owner is very unfriendly and the awful energy makes for a horrible shopping experience.

Been here two times following to the store hours only to find out it was closed for both times. Keep your hours if you want to run business.

Yelp
Every time I come into this store I leave empty handed because the sales staff is not friendly. There is a cooler-than-thou vibe which is a shame since I like high quality goods but they never make me feel welcomed. Too bad since other shops in the area are good.

Yelp
Interesting store. They have a lot of pieces that are made in Brooklyn or New York which I really appreciated. It has a sparse zen feeling to it and is very manageable while still having a good selection. They also carry things that are imported from other countries. I particularly liked their flatware selection as well as their drinking glasses. I would recommend checking it out. My only drawback would be that the staff in the store are not particularly friendly.
