As a Mount Prospect resident, it’s really exciting to have such a wonderful restaurant open in our midst. I dined with a friend and had the pleasure of Renee serving us. She was exceptional, some of the best service I have ever had. I wasn’t sure which cocktail to order and based on a short quiz by her, she delivered the most perfect drink. The food was just as high quality, it’s obvious fresh ingredients are used and each dish is prepared with careful love and attention. This is one of the best meals I have had in a LONG time. We made sure to call over Eric, the GM, to offer our compliments. He is a very kind and down to earth man, who clearly takes pride in his restaurant (as he should!). I cannot recommend the Prospect enough, for a date night, girls’ night out, or even a family outing (lots of kids around!). Thank you Renee and Eric for such a memorable evening. I hope to share more of them with you!

I rarely ever take the time to write a review. However, this place deserves 12 stars. So, I will happily write one. Firstly, the atmosphere is chic and quaint. Great for dates, drinks with a friend, and kid friendly - though it might be a little loud for kiddos Friday and Saturday.. they’re open Monday and Tuesday as well! Next, our server Rene was absolutely stellar. I took her recommendation for my first drink (which was incredible) and just followed her lead the rest of the night. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Hats off to the chefs. From the busing staff that always kept our table clean and fresh, to the manager Eric we had to call over to rave to… it was a 10/10 experience and I can’t wait to bring more friends and family.

From the first time I stepped foot in this beautiful establishment I knew I would be a repeat customer. Eric has always gone above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable along with their bartending staff the two Kevins, Hans and Brenden definitely great food, great people great experience See you there PS try the shrimp and grits for their brunch. You’ll thank me later.

Great food and cocktails with excellent quality all around. The service is warm and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. The rooftop has a relaxing yet fun vibe—perfect for enjoying the evening. It’s a unique spot in the area: elegant enough for family dining but also a chill choice for a night out with friends. The atmosphere balances fancy and laid-back, giving Mount Prospect a real downtown feel.

Absolutely incredible experience! Extremely friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, great cocktails, and a beautiful atmosphere. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and he had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller and Tuna Crudo for appetizers, and got Filet with the garlic herb butter for the entree, including grilled asparagus and garlic Parmesan fries as sides. The food came out quickly and the filet was cooked perfectly! I also really love the dark green tile theme paired with the gold and black on the inside. I definitely plan on coming back!

Google
Yoooo 5 Stars – A Standout Dining Experience in Mount Prospect! I recently visited The Prospect, a new gem that just opened up in Mount Prospect, and I have to say—this place is exactly what the area needed! I arrived around 6:50 PM and there was a bit of initial confusion about whether I’d be seated right away or closer to 8 PM. But once I spoke with the manager, Eric, everything turned around. He not only offered me a cocktail during the wait (a classy touch), but truly went above and beyond by seating me near the chef’s table—an unexpected and unforgettable experience. From there, it only got better. I had the opportunity to watch the kitchen in action and connect with Irvin and Chef Raul. Their teamwork and passion for what they do was so impressive—it felt like watching a symphony of flavor come to life. To start, I had the bread basket with sun-dried tomato butter. Normally, paying for bread gives me pause, but this was well worth it. The butter was perfectly salty and balanced, and the bread had that warm, fresh-baked crisp that just hits right. I also ordered the lamb chops, paired with a unique apple chutney that elevated the dish to a whole new level. Every bite was packed with flavor and thoughtful complexity. The bar was lively all night, consistently pumping out everything from signature cocktails to customized drinks. The overall vibe, energy, and pace reminded me of some of my favorite spots in Miami—a rare find since moving to Illinois. Huge thanks to Eric for his outstanding hospitality and to the entire kitchen team, especially Irvin and Chef Raul, for an unforgettable evening. I’ll definitely be back—realistically, probably next weekend 😅

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at The Prospect last night. As a genuine food lover, I must say, this is one of the best meals I have had in my life. We had cocktails and "clarity cocktails." We ordered the burrata, the tuna crudo, the octopus, black cod, steak frites, peach budino, and milk chocolate cake. WOW. The "hummingbird" clarity cocktail tasted like biting into fresh pineapple. My wife loved her drink with absinthe. The burrata was simple but perfectly seasoned and the accompanying salad was dressed well without being overpowering. The tuna crudo was for my wife - she loved it! A little spicy, and described as "melt in your mouth." The octopus rocked our socks. It was tender, well-seasoned, and the aji amarillo sauce was plate-licking good. The black cod with miso, forbidden rice, and coconut curry was such a pleasant surprise. The cod was perfection and the coconut curry had a really subtle spice that left my mouth tingling for several minutes after I ate it - absolutely delicious. The steak frites was better than I could have expected. They were out of the skirt steak so substituted it with a smaller portion of their usual NY strip and, again, WOW. Exceptional. Super flavorful and delicious with the chimichurri. My wife made fun of me for wanting the budino but quickly took it back once she tasted it. Both the budino and the milk chocolate cake were truly exceptional composed desserts with layers of flavor without being too sweet. We sat outside on the beautiful patio and had Bianca as our server. We explained that we weren't in a hurry and she paced our meal out perfectly so we could enjoy without feeling rushed. Truly awesome atmosphere and service!

Yelp
Let me start by saying this isn't a paid review -- I just genuinely enjoy the vibes, the people, and the food at The Prospect in Mount Prospect, IL. Every time I come here, it feels like a mix between a family reunion and a five-star dining experience. First off, the crab cakes are next-level -- majority crab, barely any breading, just pure chunks of fresh crab. The coleslaw? Perfect. The flavor, the texture, the balance -- I swear I'd put that coleslaw in an IV on my deathbed. The seasoning is spot on, not overdone, just perfection. When I saw Chef Raul and the crew, it was all love -- catching up about new menu items, reminiscing on old favorites. That's what I love about this place: the energy is real. You're not just a customer; you're part of the story. I came for the crab cakes but ended up diving into steak, , and ice cream to finish things off. And then came the complimentary lobster/crab roll, which was an absolute banger. Honestly, the best part about The Prospect is how confident they are in their food -- and rightfully so. Chef Irvin told me, "It's almost like we never miss." And he's right. The best way I can describe The Prospect? It's like that unforgettable hookup -- so good you know you can't have it every day, but you'll still think about it long after. The food, the vibe, the experience -- all undeniably worth it. You might think the prices are high, but honestly, we spend more at places that don't come close to this level of flavor and quality. Big shoutout to Emmanuel, too -- the kind of server who's so in tune that you never have to ask for anything. Refills, silverware, to-go bags -- he's already got it handled before you even think to ask. If you haven't been to The Prospect yet, do yourself a favor and go. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Yelp
Wonderful spot in Mt Prospect. Felt like we got to experience the high exclusive level of dining of Chicago but in the comfort of the burbs. Only one of the dishes were a bit lacking which was the Pad Thai. But honestly everything else was so good but what really made the visit and dinner the best was the ambience and staff. Everyone was so professional, nice and genuine too. Just on the ambience and the staff alone, you should come check this place out. Fantastic bartenders too and found me a new gin cocktail to enjoy!

Yelp
The service was excellent. Quality of the food was also very, very good. This was our second visit and we did brunch. I had the crab eggs Benedict and it was great. I just would like the English muffin to be a little more toasted. Not a huge deal. I really like Prospect and the open kitchen cooking over wood fire is exceptional. I would note that they do their own dry aging. My wife has had their steak for dinner and it was excellent.

Yelp
The prospect was amazing. We went for a birthday dinner and the staff was so accommodating and helpful with making the night special. We started with drinks up stairs and they had a variety of inventive and tasty cocktails , with a nice varieties of mocktails as well. The rooftop has a nice overlook of the downtown mount prospect. The atmosphere was up scale but trendy. You show up in nice dress or a cute top with nicer jeans. The food was absolutely incredible. I wanted the rigatoni sauce recipe after eating it. We ordered a lot and shared it with the table. Everything was very fresh and filling but not over stuffing. All the dishes were very creative and the octopus was out of this world!! The garlic frites was a nice crispy skinny fries and the garlic aioli was very tasty as well! Overall , it was a 10 out 10 experience and it's definitely worth the visit! Also there is an up and downstairs to eat at.

Yelp
We had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Prospect and were lucky enough to be seated at the Chef's Table--what an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is upscale and trendy, yet warm and inviting. The space is spotless and polished, with a vibe that sets the stage for something special. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. Now, onto the food--where do I begin? We started with the grilled octopus--perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The Wedge Salad was equally impressive: crisp, fresh, and the buttermilk Maytag dressing was rich and tangy in the best way. For pasta, we chose the Rigatoni (bolognese bianco, spring pea, basil, grana padano). Cooked al dente, the creamy sauce was beautifully balanced with a bright pop of lemon zest--absolutely divine. Our main dishes were showstoppers. The Black Cod with miso glaze, forbidden rice, and coconut curry was delicate and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The flavors were perfectly layered and the purple rice was the ideal pairing. The Dry Aged Burger (medium rare) was grilled to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and elevated by the onion jam, black garlic, and miso aioli. Even the fries were perfectly seasoned! For drinks, I had their fresh lemonade--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. A great complement to the meal. And then--dessert! We tried the Milk Chocolate Mousse Cake and the Strawberries & Cream Budino. Both were phenomenal, but the Budino absolutely stole the show. Creamy, rich, comforting, with the perfect touch of sweetness from the strawberry jam and cinnamon streusel. It's officially one of my top 3 desserts of all time! Sitting at the Chef's Table made the evening even more memorable. It's intimate, interactive, and a front-row seat to culinary artistry. Chef Irving was incredibly generous, offering us samples of his marinated beef short ribs and kimchi--his personal creation that blew us away. Huge thanks to the entire team at The Prospect. Their passion, creativity, and attention to detail shines in every dish. Highly, highly recommend this place--especially the Chef's Table if you're looking for a truly special dining experience!

Yelp
Brunch here was such an excellent experience. Our server whose name I cannot remember was so friendly and helpful with the menu items. He was constantly refilling our water glasses and taking additional drink orders on the fly without getting flustered. The food was exceptional. We loved everything we ordered and are already thinking about the next time we can visit. The entry way and downstairs dining area is beautiful, but the upstairs bar and outside patio is the place to be. I was very impressed with the decor and variety of seating from more formal tables to casual couches and chairs. The bathrooms were very clean and decorated to match the upscale vibe of the rest of the restaurant.

Yelp
Came here on a random Wednesday night for a reunion dinner with friends who actually chose this spot. I've never even heard of it nor did I realize it was here considering that I live so nearby. This turned out to be a pleasant surprise and we did make reservations just in case although for Wednesday night, it did not get totally filled on the main floor. I'm a little surprised because apparently Wednesday nights are half off all wine bottles. With a group of four, you can see from the pictures we ordered quite a bit of food and everything was absolutely demolished and everything was super tasty. I will say that I think the prices are fair with the portions, especially for the pasta is a little bit on the smaller side. I was also a little shocked that you had to pay for bread and butter service. Apparently, the menu here changes as well with the seasons, which is really great to hear and also makes it enticing to have to come back. The ambience is very modern and trendy so there are numerous spots for you to take the absolute perfect social media picture. The kitchen is fairly open to the dining room, which is also nice to see. The place is overall impeccably clean. One call out is that if you're going to order wine be prepared to pour yourself after the first pour Service however overall was very good. Our waiter was extremely friendly and patient with us because we got a little bit off track, chatting and chatting and not really paying attention to the menu. I would definitely come back here and see what the changing menus look like. They also have an upper level apparently with a balcony and outdoor area so I think that would've been nice to see during the daylight. It does share a parking lot with other businesses and even though we had an early bird dinner, it was challenging to find parking.

Yelp
Visited for the first time tonight. We came away very impressed. Both the service and food were excellent. We had the Black Cod w/miso glaze, forbidden rice, coconut curry. Also had the Dry aged burger w/ Havarti, pickle, onion jam, black garlic & miso aioli. Both were outstanding. Great place for small groups or for date night. Highly recommend if you're in the Mount Prospect area. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
3.5 rounding up to 4. I wanted so much to love our experience because I've heard great things about the restaurant. We started with drinks, my husband got an old fashion, and I got a mocktail. I really enjoyed my Winter Blossom mocktail, it was light and fresh. We got three dishes to enjoy, the scallops, the burger and the cavatelli. The burger was super hyped up to us and was really recommended, while the flavors were there it wasn't the best burger that I've ever had and for the price I wanted to love it. The potatoes were hard and had no salt or flavor on them. Now the cavatelli and the scallops were my winning dishes. The scallops came with 3 pieces but the sweet potato purée brought all of the flavors together and it was incredible! The pasta was made fresh and you can taste the flavors of the mushroom and the sauce tied it all together. Our plates were quickly cleared as we were eating our dishes and our waiter was super nice. Their parking lot is not so big and can get pretty full during main eating times, and the restaurant is 2 floors. The restrooms are upstairs and I love that they are gender friendly and are always super clean. Overall, we had a decent experience and I look forward to their next menu rotation looks like.

Yelp
Great service. Food is fantastic. Wings and empanadas apps were a HUGE hit with our group.

Janice S.

Yelp
Food was delicious however atmosphere was very noisy and you couldn't hear each other talk. Service was lacking -appetizer came before drinks, food order was not taken until appetizers were delivered then taken away.

Shannon T.

Yelp
I went to The Prospect for drinks and an appetizer. I absolutely loved the ambiance. The restaurant gives you a Great Gatsby vibe. We only sat on the bar top on the second floor which had a beautiful balcony. The bartender was amazing as well. He explained the appetizer choices down the sauces used. Supposedly they changed the sauces depending on the season too.

Yelp
My husband and I were curious, so we went for a late bite. Wow! Given a choice, we sat upstairs and outside. AMAZING! The breeze, music, and vibes we're so relaxing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of available. The food (we had crab cakes and the octopus) was delicious - and the cocktails were excellent! Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Just went here to meet my friends. Ambiance, service & cuisine were fantastic. I'm a chef and in the industry- own a catering company & restaurant. The miso glazed black cod main was one of the best plates of food I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked fish. Rice spot on and sauce was perfect. Micro cilantro on top - to cut through the richness. Just awesome. I had the white wine blend and it was also fantastic. Ownership - thanks for building such a great place. Keep your standards up and I'll keep On coming back. I live in Highland Park and will Recommending to everyone. Thank you.

Yelp
I had a really great experience at The Prospect last night. Great service, drinks were really good and enjoyed the meal. The desert was excellent and the ambiance was terrific.

Yelp
A beautiful addition to downtown Mount Prospect. It was evident the restaurant was well designed, and a lot of thought went into the lighting and the seating. The main floor has table seating and seating with a view of the kitchen. The upstairs, were we sat had a bar, and in and outdoor seating. We went for brunch on Easter Sunday and was not disappointed. Service was outstanding. Our server, Renee, was sweet, attentive and extremely accommodating. The brunch menu is limited. I had the pancakes and multigrain bread. Both were side items, but were plenty. The bread was excellent, so fresh and moist. My husband had the diner breakfast, eggs, pancakes , potatoes and sausage. We also enjoyed mimosas. I especially liked the champagne came with various juices. We had a wonderful time and I look forward to returning for dinner.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
We've been here a few times and it has always been exceptional service. Tonight didn't disappoint. My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary and the hostess right away told us happy anniversary and then the waiter came by with a complementary glass of champagne for each. Service and food were both impeccable and they even gave us a free dessert. We also celebrated New Year's Eve here last year, which was amazing. We will definitely keep coming back. Thank you for the exceptional service and going above and beyond.

Yelp
Fun restaurant with an Argentinian themed menu. We sat at the bar. The bartenders were extremely friendly and were quick to bring out our food. I had the filet and my wife had the Bouillabaisse sea bass with muscles and clams and house made sour sour bread. They change their menu seasonally. We are excited to go back and explore other menu items
google avatar

Yelp
We celebrated our 10th anniversary that started a bit rocky as we wanted to sit outside. Thanks to our amazing server Alex was able to get us a table. He went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing evening. I can't say enough great things about him. The food was amazing. The risotto was delicious! I had the street corn with it that made for an excellent meal. The drinks were great. Well crafted to match the season. Nocturnal and the gin blossom were the toast of the evening. You would be remiss to not check this restaurant out. Truly am amazing dining experience.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience at The Prospect for our anniversary! Cocktails, lamb meatballs, cod, and steak frites were all amazing! Sarafin was a wonderful waiter too. We cannot wait to be back and try more of the menu. Such a welcome addition to the suburbs!

Yelp
We went here for dinner with my parents because we wanted to take them out for babysitting while we were on vacation. The decor inside was really nice. I liked the color schemes. The staff was also super helpful and friendly. One thing I didn't like was that anywhere you sat in the restaurant the sun would be in your eyes when the sun was setting because there is no blinds. We ordered a few things. One was the beet salad for an appetizer and we also each ordered a specialty drink which we all enjoyed. I had the scallop dish for dinner and I think everybody else ordered a different pasta dish, which were all very good . This place is really nice and after we finished, we went upstairs to the rooftop, which was awesome because there's not a lot of places in the suburbs that has a rooftop like that reminded me of being in the city. Overall, this place was really nice and we will be definitely going back, but I do think they need blinds for the sun setting in the west .
google avatar

Yelp
This place is like a city restaurant tucked away in MP. Came here with girlfriends and everything we had was phenomenal! We sat outside on the rooftop and loved the atmosphere. Our waitress Maggie was awesome too. Will definitely one here again.

Cocktails were great. Kevin and Emanuel gave us spectacular service. Be sure to ask for them!

Yelp
3.5 but rounding up. New to the downtown Mount Prospect area The Prospect is a great addition and just what the town needs. The main level is for dining in for dinner and the roof top includes drinks and a limited food menu. This establishment is well designed and beautiful. It gives off summer time chi vibes without having to actually go to Chicago. I've been here twice so far and both times it's been pretty good. The first time I was here with a group and we sat on the roof top for drinks and apps. We ordered the filet sliders and beef empanadas. The food was very bland, over priced and portions were very small. Service was slow, however, this was during the first couple of weeks of The Prospect being opened. During my 2nd time here the experience improved. I dined in for dinner and noticed that there were several team members that were being trained. Service was decent for the most part. It started off great then started to slow down as the place was then jam packed by 7:30pm. Completely understandable though. I think with a little bit more time this will be a go to spot for most. Which it seems to already be! I really enjoyed the drink I had during dinner, La Ciociara. It was light, refreshing, tart and fruity. This is definitely my go to drink from here moving forward. For dinner I had the Alaskan Halibut which was flavorful, however it was waaaaay overcooked and the portion was too small given the price. I think a better side instead/in addition to the 'bed' of cucumbers would really elevate this dish better. I also tried the dark chocolate mouse cake which was pretty good too! I enjoyed the different textures and layers of this dessert.

A perfect date night! Remarkable food. Kind and attentive service. Highly recommend sitting at the Chefs table and enjoying the team work. 5/5

Yelp
PATIO REVIEW! I happened into The Prospect with a group of (4) on a Friday evening around 6-6:30pm. Our group had not made a reservation in advance of coming so at first, the hostess told us there was nothing available. After rechecking their system, she said we could be accommodated upstairs on the patio but the food menu was limited in that area. We later checked and reservations were fully booked 2 weeks out! We definitely got lucky! The entirety of this restaurant, inside to out, is impeccably designed. The mix of textures and patterns is so tastefully done to keep the space vibrant and elevated. Downstairs is a classic restaurant with open kitchen eat-in counter, main bar with seating, and open dining room seating. Upstairs has another bar, high top seating, and a patio with pergola overhead, multiple lounge settings, and a great view of downtown Mount Prospect. The train is adjacent so one will hear the noises upstairs. Our group got a mix of cocktails and tried each others. I got the American Slang which was their take on an old fashioned. I didn't pick up on much of the cherry vanilla, sweeter note but it was a tasty old fashioned. The Thyme After Thyme was a group favorite being a bit more acidic and gin forward. The Venus Cobbler was our server's recommendation as a popular choice. It was sweeter and fruity from the peach flavor. Last was the Garden Collins. This was my other favorite cocktail of our group's. It was bright, refreshing, and perfect for a summer night. For food, our group got the Empanadas and Filet Sliders. Portions were smaller and shareable more so for (2) people. The filet sliders came on a soft, toasted bun with bone marrow butter. It was noted that the filet was cooked medium but could have been seasoned better as it lacked additional spice and flavor. The sliders did come with a very large portion on steak. The empanadas came with pulled bison meat inside and chimichurri sauce on the side to add. This also could have benefited from spice. The upstairs was understaffed slightly. There were 2-3 people filling waters but 1 server handling the entire section. It took a bit to get our bill but otherwise, she was so enjoyable and personable! Overall, The Prospect is a great add to the downtown area. It offers an elevated dining experience with great cocktails and good food. It can be a bit pricey for the portions and the food wasn't amazing but I would certainly come back to experience their full menu downstairs.

Yelp
Upscale restaurant with delicious food. We enjoyed celebrating my daughter's birthday. #iraeats #iraeats1

Yelp
The Prospect's Brunch and Beats event is such a great addition to this neighborhood's selection. Located in a quaint area of downtown Mount Prospect this place had such an exuberant feel. It was my first time there and we were celebrating a birthday with all my girls. Brunch and beats mixes delicious food with the sounds of amazing music by special djs every week. We ran into people we knew also dining there and the vibe was so laid back and fun. Outstanding service as well. We all tried something different and enjoyed every bite. Drinks and dancing to start the weekend off. You'll be glad you stopped by.

Yelp
A wonderous addition to the NW suburbs. The ambiance is gorgeous, and so cozy. The food was delicious. Appreciate the local sourcing. We tried the chittara and the pork shank; so good and unique. The grasshopper as a dessert drink did not disappoint. Service was good all around. We sat at the chef's counter, and enjoyed watching the magic.

ralph z.

Yelp
After a recent experience, I was very disappointed with The Prospect. The noise level in the restaurant was very bad. The other guest at my table and I were not able to speak without raising our voices. The food was mediocre. In particular, the portions were small and in some cases closer to hors d'oeuvr sizes. Finally, even though the restaurant was only 3/4 full the server rushed us out of the table as soon as we told her that we did not want dessert . We will not be returning .
google avatar

ChrisTopher M.

Yelp
Lovely place, great atmosphere and good food. Menu seemed focused but with good variety. Very attentive service. No complaints other than a bit pricey for some menu items, solid all around. Plan to come back.

Yelp
Another great meal at The Prospect / we sat at the bar facing into the kitchen. Chief and staff were all gregarious and happy to explain anything and everything. Food was outstanding!!

Yelp
Repeat customer at Brunch and Beats that exceeded my expectations, again! The attention to detail by GM Eric was outstanding, making our entire brunch experience feel like VIP service. Our server, Zero, was exceptional, and the bar's drink selection was impressive. The staff was friendly and welcoming across the board. For a more intimate vibe, the Chef's Table is the perfect spot. If you want to feel the energy and dance vibes, grab a table by the DJ!

Yelp
Let me start off with the ambiance. The place is so beautiful and unique. Decor is stunning and you can tell someone paid close attention to detail when choosing interior design. Overall, stunning and you can't find anything like this out here in the suburbs. Service was great. We had the pleasure of sitting in front of the chefs and watching them cook, unique experience. Our server, Serafin, was amazing and suggested plenty of items off the menu, he did not steer us wrong! Food was very delicious and we left full and excited to come back and try more. My favorite was the grilled octopus- to die for. Drinks were perfect as well. Overall, super cute and yummy place that Mount Prospect needed! Excited to come again and try out more.

Yelp
First time dining; food and service were spectacular. Dining at the Chef's counter allowed interaction with the chef while enjoying our delicious chicken and pasta dishes. Drinks and dessert were fantastic too. Would love to try more dishes and experience the beautiful rooftop dining next time. Great restaurant to fill up both stomachs (there's your Easter egg, Mauro)! Thank you for the fantastic meal and extra dessert. Best of luck!

Yelp
VERY new and upscale suburban restaurant with upstairs lounge serving small plates and a lovely outdoor patio. Great ambiance. Small bar and also chef's "table". No photos of empanada appetizer. Kind of loud (what isn't) but so good we will go back soon with friends.
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
Food was ok, service was good, ambiance a little loud, seated indoors upstairs. A bit expensive for what you get, apps were small so had to order extras for table. Not sure what the big hype is about???? I live in the neighborhood & found it to be a typical over-rated restaurant.

Yelp
Our dining experience at this beautifully decorated restaurant in downtown Mt. Prospect was pleasant. Upon arriving there is valet parking but surprisingly at 6:00 pm on a weekend we found parking in the small shared lot without any problem. After walking past the luxury cars they park near the entrance, we were seated immediately on the first floor. The tables are uncomfortably close to each other which made it very difficult to get up from the table and for staff to move between the tables. The menu is seasonal and our group ordered a variety of starters, mains and sides. If you want bread, you'll pay $10, the basket was enough for 2-4 people. For our mains, we ordered the Pancit, Rigatoni, Corvina and Black Cod. The pasta portions were small and disappointing in both flavor and ingredients. The fish dishes were flavorful, well prepared and nicely plated. The standout was the Street Corn, a delicious, but very small side dish, enough for 1-2 people. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly and the highlight of the dining experience. Something to note, the bathrooms are individual and on the second floor, there was a line of people waiting for an available bathroom, each time someone from our group went upstairs. Overall, in an overly saturated area (the Northwest Highway corridor from Arlington Heights to Park Ridge) with similar mid-price, seasonal menu restaurants with good service, the Prospect was fine. Would recommend for a drink at the second floor bar over dining.

Yelp
My husband & I have been for dinner & brunch - both meals were delicious, great service, and love the atmosphere / decor. You can tell so much thought has been put into the menu, decor, and total dining experience. It is a very comfortable space, but filled with such beautiful eye catching decor. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
We had my cousins birthday brunch here and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the ambiance was a vibe. The staff was on point...very attentive and accommodating. Definitely will be going back to try all the meals and enjoy the fun atmosphere again! I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Ambiance - the restaurant looks like it should be on Green St. in the west loop, not in Mt. Prospect. The decor and lighting make for an elegant dining experience The music was not too loud and very good. I am so glad there is a West Loop vibe restaurant in the suburbs. Food - We had the Octopus, Scallops, and Cavatelli. All three were cooked to perfection, seasoned through, and paired with sides that enhanced each dish's appeal. The portions are what you'd expect from an upscale restaurant, which I personally like. If you are looking for massive portions, this is not your place. If you are looking for quality, flavorful food then this is your place. Drink -The cocktail menu had a wide variety. I had one rum-based cocktail with spiced pear that I highly recommend (can't remember the name). I will be back for more cocktails.

Yelp
They have a chef's table, we sat there. A great place to watch them work. I had the tuna crisp crudo and the black cod. Both were excellent. A beautiful looking place too.

Yelp
Location and ambiance is 10/10, but unfortunately it took us 40min to get our first drink so we had to leave to find another place to dine out. We had high hopes for this place but the service was not great the day we went.

Yelp
This place and the food is amazing. We had the octopus, duck breast, and chilian seabass as well as a few cocktails and dessert. The food is as good as, if not sometimes better, than the likes of Perry's, Capital Grill, Mortons, Shaws, and so on. The ambience is upscale and service is impeccable. To the reviewers that gave it a bad review, mostly on price, I wonder why they couldn't see the prices online. Also, have you noticed that most bad reviews come from people that only have one to three reviews. I don't think this is the community we should be taking advice from.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food! Simple and subtle with elevated flavors. Everything we had from the octopus appetizer, short rib appetizer and 2 main pasta dishes was amazing. The atmosphere is fun and lively, the cocktails are great too.

Yelp
We went to the Prospect tonight for the first time. We got there in time for happy hour and had a couple of items on the happy hour list as well as their happy hour old-fashioned. Everything was excellent. The decor was awesome, felt like a downtown restaurant. We sat at the bar, and the two bartenders were awesome, very attentive and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Very nice experience!

Yelp
We sat at the chef's table for my husbands birthday and everything was amazing! We loved being able to see the chefs at work and chat with them. The steak was unbelievable! We can't wait to go back again.
