The Pub 529

Definitely a "pub" feel complete with, what seems to be "regulars" and is even dog friendly. (Well I think it's dog friendly cause there was a great Dane, but it was with a "regular"). The bartenders are welcoming and the drinks are average. I've never had the food but I was told by a "regular" that the steaks were decent. Stop by and explore for yourself.

Went to see friends in a band perform at this bar. The parking was plentiful and free. The bar had a nice vibe. My girlfriends and I enjoyed ourselves. We had beers and the bartenders were friendly. Overall we had a good experience. We plan to return

So far so good... 5:30 Sunday, first time here. Great local pub, nice live music... s pleasure to stop in. Ordered a dozen wings and 2lb crawfish @$8/ lb... Typical pub environment... dark but ok, a lot of TV's behind the bar. Not smokey inside, smelled fresh and clean. Wings were not great, crawfish were med sized but excellent flavor, few had some great claw meat!

Used to be an OK spot. Now it's downright horrible with Megan as the bartender. She's extremely rude and just sits on her phone and God forbid you ask for a drink. The sighs and phone slam are enough to make me never wanna come back. Haven't been here in about a year, and nothing has changed.

Thursday night. It was interesting to say the least bit a lot of fun. It was BBQ steak night... That's a good deal. And it was karaoke night. Not a lot of people here... But certainly worth visiting of your near. I'd come back again. They also have a huge outdoor section in the back

Great atmosphere and bigger back yard and they only things it's missing is you. Manager greeted everyone who came In and I've been to 5 bars and this is the first time I've been greeted this way highly recommend. Bar veteran friendly the performer did performances for USO and American legion. The beer and food are not that expensive

First time being here. The ambience was very laid back, the owner was kind and our bartender was sweet. Came here with a friend and her pals for a Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration. The crawfish was good and my drink was good. Would definitely come back here again!

The only problem id the kareoke singers are too good. A terrible singer like me only likes to sing if everyone else is terrible too. These singers were amazing. Free pool Tuesday ($1 otherwise), huge huge huge outdoor patio. Kareoke Thursday at 9pm. Lots of food.

Overcharged on drinks, the woman's restroom looked as if its never clean. Ask i was walking to the restroom, i saw a roach crawl across the floor. We didn't stay long. There are better bars around here.

10/10 the service was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and not overcrowded. This is a non-smoking pub for those who are not in favor of cigarette smell. There is pool tables slot machines, and a really nice open outdoor seating area. I Used to pass this place all the time and I really hate that I didn't find it sooner. Definitely recommend the drinks were strong and not water down and very cheap. I got two drinks and only spent seven dollars. They have great specials and happy hour.

The bartender Emma was the sweetest young lady I have met at pub 529. The atmosphere was very inviting and friendly, especially on Wednesday karaoke nights... I have had the food there and it is just another bonus. I love the service, the team, and 529 pub period.

The place is my go to casual spot for well priced drinks and weekly specials :) the bartenders Emma and Mary are also sweethearts and amazing !

We came here for micromania wresting event. It was chaotic to say the least. The bartenders and kitchen were not able to keep up. My friend ordered nachos. After waiting an hour he went to the bar to question where they were. It took another 40 minutes for them to come out. I ordered a margarita and it was disgusting and I couldn't drink it. The funny thing is there wasn't even a lot of people. The entire event was very unorganized. I would not go back here.

I'm so sad to be editing my review but I don't think I'll be coming back. Went there 4 times and each time I was over charged. Had items on there that I didn't order. First couple times I didn't say anything but this last time was it. We ordered to steak quesadillas with the rice to go. She had it correct on the recipe for the steak quesadillas but the kitchen gave me two chicken quesadilla with no rice or beans. Which the rice is the only reason we ordered the quesadillas. We got our food and when I go to check it no rice or beans and we are bummed. So I pull out the receipt of $79 dollars and noticed I got charged for a brisket potato and I never order that and never received it. I got over charged for quesadillas and food I never received. I asked about it to the waitress and she said she would take it off my tap next time come in. At this point I'm tired and frustrated. I know it's a busy night but it hurt to feel like we are not being taken care of. Today I'm at work in Humble and I see a charge of $10 on my card. I'm so irritated, I won't be going back again. No

We visit on a regular for the karaoke shows every Wednesday and Thursday nights with Donovan. Always a great time. The bar is awesome. Outdoor patio is beautiful. The brisket nachos are my go-to snack. We have also visited when they host live music as well. Awesome local bands have played here !!

My wife and I were the only 2 of 4 (not including Gator the bartender) that were there in a Monday evening. Gator is a solid dude, he definitely kept us entertained and shared some stories with us. Made us feel included that's always nice. I remember coming here years ago (maybe 4-6) and it would be dumb packed and of course it was later on at night when I knew it would be poppin'. Anyway I knew traffic from here would've or did die down since the pandemic and honestly didn't know if it'd last. Anyways, it's still here and like a record that ain't been played in a minute it was like blowing dust off and get ready to spin. We got to hear about some updated menu items, specials on the booze (cocktails, beer buckets, shots etc) they have a ladies night on Tuesdays, steak night Thursday and Saturday, karaoke on Thursday and Friday, midget mania wrestling every other weekend I believe might be wrong bout that tho. So for a Monday for the industry it's typically slow and we showed up there about 5:30ish so I knew it would be dead which we don't mind because it feels good to feel like you got a place to yourself and not have to flag someone down for a beer or something. Their backyard patio is as big as I remember and they still have their fire pit and fill bar area out back as well I'm sure that will open when it gets crazy busy which I hope it does for them. That place has been there since I was in my mid twenties when it to used to be Tobin's so I have fond memories of it. I'm glad they're still around my wife and I would like to try karaoke one day to see what it's like. Would def be back 8/10 would recommend Monday or Thursday and Friday. Weekends could be a hit or miss.

Great drinks by Savanah and the atmosphere is so much fun. There's a lot of games and karaoke too. Come if you want a great night.

2 old fashioned are $36.75. served in a plastic glass. Not what you expect in a place like these. Ugly and dirty my mistake going here .

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! I went in at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, 4/3/2019 , there was five total people at the bar , no music, silent and decided to sit outside to wait for a friend. I waited outside, on the patio for approximately 20 minutes. The bartender came outside, saw I was sitting on the patio however did not approach me to offer drinks/service or anything at all. Once my friend arrived , I went inside to find a high top table . We sat down at the bar top table , all while the bartender saw us sit down , while another employee also saw us sit down and again did not approach our table to offer a drink and/or service at all. We approached the bar, only to be ignored by the bartender - until she felt she had to acknowledge us standing at her bar due to a gentleman at the bar pointing in our direction. We asked about the specials, ultimately ordered two beers, paid and left. The bartender was rude, not friendly or customer oriented and would not go back for that reason. Given that the bar was beyond slow and empty , the bartender could have taken initiative to be more friendly to those customers in the bar. As an establishment with such low clientele at that given time , there should have been no reason for patrons willing to pay for such goods and services to be blatantly ignored. PERIOD! Management should take a word of advice and ensure they have employees/bartenders/servers willing to represent their establishment in a way that promotes business not deters such.

I don't understand why zero stars is not an option! That's bs! This bar is the worst place I've ever been. Owner and management is shady as heck. It's basically a hangout for the owner, and manager. They over charge, crowd sucks, food sucks, staff sux. It was good when it was Tobin's bar a couple years ago. I can't believe they ran it into the ground so fast! Almost like they tried to fail.

This place is BADASS. I wish I lived closer but probably best that I don't. Lol. Huge setup with quick and friendly service with nice, clean restrooms. Mr. Bruce was super cool and went over the top to make sure we were getting good service. We had a blast and will definitely be going back. Waited a long time for service that we never got. The "waitress" was on her phone ignoring us. The bar is empty and yet no service. Ridiculous. Not coming here again. Three teachers who were hungry ended up going to Willie's! Thanks for nothing!!!

Nice lil Spot to chill and a couple of Drinks. I would definitely go back again . The one thing I didn't like was it took a long time to get some Food but other than that it's a nice spot

This place was a pretty good live music venue. Could definitely use some maintenance and cleaning. The drinks are expensive AF... Bring your wallet.

You will wait for your drinks. We waited 40 minutes and then figured out that the waitresses were only waiting on the male patrons. Went to the bar where there were tons of people and the male bartender waited on me quickly. I prefer the outside atmosphere. There are games and plenty of room to mingle. Staff just needs to get it together.

This place was a disaster. Saturday night and they have nowhere near adequate staff nor food (they ran out of hamburger meat). Paid $35 for a burger I never received. Good luck on your visit here.

I used to come here all the time... Bino is cool but the other owner is totally unprofessional. He brought my friends and I vegas bombs (we didn't order them) and after he took them with us, he made us pay for them. He also proceeded to talk sh*t about me to my friends. I was a loyal customer but never returned. Beware!!

Where Tobin's used to be. The new facelift includes a tiki bar out back, gates that look out to the parking lot, and a poker-room-esque interior with a nice stage built in to the corner for live music. Drinks consist of local, domestic, and imported beers. Basic liquors and maybe one or two wines. Don't ask for an Old Fashioned here -- it's a pub in the armpit of Jersey Village and Cypress, i.e. Copperfield. Food is decent. I'm a buffalo wings kind-of-girl, and I can tell you that the wings are pretty decent (my all-time favorite is Wings 'n More). Only complaint is that the food takes a while to come out BUT most ppl don't come for the food (although they do have daily specials on food). So, if you just want to grab a drink, watch the game, and meet some friendly ppl, The Pub is the place. Some of the cleanest restrooms you'll find at a pub/bar. Staff is friendly and crowd is diverse. Food/drink prices are about one dollar sign. There's a great backyard patio where you can play life-sized beer pong (think 20 gallon trash cans), bags/cornhole, fire pit, and another stage for MORE live music. Also, I counted twelve TVs inside. TWELVE. Big TV outside and a couple more little ones spread around the patio. Fun, laid-back atmosphere. Good job, Pub Pub.

I left my table to grab napkin from the bar and when I got back the cook had came out and ate a slice of the pizza I ordered and was like 'sorry I thought it was someone else's pizza' this person was in his 40's worked there and the business didn't refund my order. I believe degenerate is the correct word for that cook. What a joke never going back

Went the other night to watch the Astros Game... Made a drink purchase and paid for it, then check my bank statement and they charged me more than they should've. If I had my receipt I would fight it, but unfortunately I don't. Never will I step foot in here again!!

Had a great band inside last night. Huge outside area to sit with big screens for football. The service was really good. I live in neighborhood right beside it so it's really close. I didn't get a chance to try the food but the drinks were good. I'd definitely go back.

Terrible experience from a bar with great potential. A friend that frequently visits this place invited me here for a couple of drinks. After our 2nd round the bartender, Shelby, accidentally splashed Diet Coke into my drink. I told her and she immediately told me she would have to charge me for a new drink if I didn't want that one. I told her I don't drink Diet Coke and she told me I can leave if I don't like it. I told Shelby she was the one that messed my drink up and she became angry and told me to leave again. Instead of getting into a disagreement, I decided to just pay my tab and leave because it was clear to me Shelby was intoxicated from taking shots with her friends. I would never come back to this place and advise anyone against coming to a place with drunk, angry bartenders.

I hosted a surprise party Friday with 125 guests and I could not have been happier with The Pub 529. The staff was amazing, attentive, friendly and efficient. The facility was clean, spacious and offered either indoor or outdoor areas. The management was outstanding and made sure our guests were well cared for the entire time. Not one time did I have a guest complain about service, food, cost or sound. We had originally planned to have the party in their spacious backyard Tiki themed patio area, but the weather forced us inside. We had a band booked and fortunately, The Pub has 2 stages and we were able to quickly move the band inside at the last minute. The management helped the band with their sound system and set up. We had planned a fun 'horse race themed' game for our group and management went above and beyond to make sure we had the space inside to run the game and added music when the contestants competed that really tied the entire theme together. They provided us with a delicious unlimited nacho bar and drink specials that kept everyone full and happy. I stopped by The Pub a few days before the event to be sure all was in place. They had a Van Halen tribute band playing and it was all I could do to make myself leave for my next appointment... the place was really rocking. I can not remember the last time I wrote a review about a place nor can I remember the last time as was as impressed as I was with a venue. Several of our guests asked who to talk to have their parties at The Pub as well. Well done Pub 529... well done. You will see us all again very soon.

This place is terrible. Bad service, filthy, it smells like sewage and the beers are lukewarm. We had one drink and left.

This is definitely not my favorite at all!!! The sausage they give it to you in slices (3) and only half of a potato. Like dam are potatoes and sausages that expensive that you can't give us a whole potato and sausage. This pub smells like restroom and the bartender was was not nice didn't even want to wait on us. We were nice to him and he just walked away when we were talking like tf?!? I was not happy with this place at all. Honestly I will be going to the one on Richmond ave. That one has nice servers and it's smells better. And they give you the whole potato and sausage. Make the drive The Pub in Richmond ave. It's 100 times better I promise. Even the tables were all cheap. Just looked bad.

The bartenders seemed really intoxicated. The food was like cafeteria food. Typically tip really well yet just couldn't when the food AND service was extremely horrible. There were maybe 5 people in the entire place and it took 45 minutes to get our (cold) food. The all female staff was focused on the elderly men making disgusting, sexual comments (obviously regulars). One of the bartenders (I think her name was Shelby) was even commenting about how she got a bad Yelp review and had "no idea why"... well now ya know.

We Went in for a beer and a burger. First thing I noticed that it did not smell good. And nobody was there at 1 pm. Ordered beers and burgers. Took forever and all the burgers were wrong and all the fries were severely undercooked. We actually cancelled the orders and paid for the beers and left. No sorry about the order or anything. Not a repeat. I would put no stars if I could.

The food here is so tasty and the staff and clientele are all very friendly. I was here for their Wednesday crawfish special recently ($3.99/lb!!) which was delicious and they also had karaoke. The DJ was a lot of fun and did his best to make everyone sound good. If crawfish aren't your thing, their burgers are amazing! Stop by for a chill evening.

Kinda like if a stranger handed you a very clean and apparently new piece of paper with an unoriginal and nonsensical drawing on it and walked away. You would consider it briefly before discarding it. This establishment is neither offensive nor attractive in any way. Pub 529 is an appropriate name. It's a pub on FM529. **Disclaimer: I did not eat here so I cannot comment intelligently on the food. I can tell you that I was hungry and chose to go elsewhere to eat.

Went here a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. I ordered a few Hoptains and had the Jerry Garcia burger for dinner it was delicious! I'm the other hand the fries were bland, even my 3 year wouldn't touch them. We had a great time but i am having a hard time having the manager to repond back to being over charged on the tip, it has been over 2 weeks.. I would recommended for friends to go and have a cold beer, enjoy the outside patio and games but make sure to take notice of what your final bill is because you might be over charged.

Probably the most overpriced bar that we have been in Houston. They charged us 3 dollars for maybe 1 or 2 ounces of French fries and 5 dollars for a Dos Equis. It was easy to understand why it was so empty on a Saturday night.

Never been here and seen more than 20 people in it at once except for when it opened up after Tobins closed. Originally, it re-opened with the old staff from Tobins and things were good. Then they all left and it seems like so did the diverse crowd that used hang out here. Food is hot, but honestly not as good as it used to be. I hate to compare to Tobins, but it's hard not to when once upon a time it was the best hangout in the area.

Crawfish are $3.99 per pound which is cheap; but, portions seem small? When I ordered 4 vs 2 pounds, they looked the same. Inconsistent cook. One time with garlic, not spicy and you could add spice. When I returned, it was too spicy and no garlic in the crawfish. The first time was great because I could spice it the way I wanted and the garlic was great. The second time, not so great. They did get new pool tables and moved one inside (good idea); but, still need to work on marketing to get more people in there. Copperfield is nearby, a good place to start is with the neighborhoods. Pennison's around the corner has great business; but, is always smoky. The manager is always walking around checking on people which is good. Service inside wasn't the best when I went on a Sunday; but, outside was pretty decent. Not sure if they just don't have enough help? The atmosphere is great; but, crowd lacking for some reason. They need to advertise, place has great potential; but, I am afraid might fail in upcoming months if they don't work on their customer service and drink specials.

Nothing quite like walking out of a bar and stepping in vomit. Needless to say we will not be back.

Great atmosphere, very clean. I have tried the fish and chips, the pub hamburger, calamari and the Phily...all were very good. The backyard and patio are awesome if your looking to hang out outdoors and have a drink.

This is a beautiful place with a great patio. It's a shame that it doesn't live up to potential. It boils down to the service. Our waitress/bartender was extremely inattentive. Had to go to bar to get ur own drinks. We ordered crawfish and they were so under seasoned. Probably the worst crawfish I have ever eaten. They were out of butter??? How can a place with a full kitchen not have butter. We were the second people to order crawfish so essentially they just didn't bring it. Drinks were ok. But shots were 8.00?? Had to get our own bucket and paper towels and seasoning. I was very disappointed the crawfish were reasonably priced at 5.00 a lb but they were not good. Oh also we went to watch the Astros game on patio but they wouldn't put in on big screen because some customers were watching the news? Made no sense because we were only ones on patio. The first time we came here, it was very nice. Since it's new, it's very clean. The back patio was very spacious and had a lot of activities available, which is always nice. Then of course inside you have multiple televisions and live music during the week. The next time we came, it was not so great. This 2nd night was much busier, and the bartenders they had did not seem to know even the simplest of drinks. My bartender had no idea what a screwdriver was, so she somehow messed it up. Other than that, she kept spilling drinks in the middle of making them. I just suggest training their bartenders more because they didn't seem very experienced or prepared at all. For the setup of the place, entertainment options, and price, I'd give this place more stars, but with my bartenders not knowing what a sea breeze, tequila sunrise, or even a screwdriver was, just made it a little frustrating.

Went to Pub 529 for the first time Saturday to see Escape. Thankfully we had reserved a table. We couldn't sit at it for over an hour because other patrons were sitting at It. The guy in charge told everyone who didn't have a reservation they had to vacate the tables. There were some mad people and I don't blame them if they weren't aware of the concert starting at 9. We finally got our table which was upfront near the door. We were concerned about how many people were being let in. It was a ton !! General admission was standing room in front of the stage. There were so many people there we couldn't even see the stage at all. After several hours and no waitress came to take our drink order we asked one of the guys working the event for a waitress. Poor guy was so overwhelmed he took our order. After first round no one ever we came back to see if we needed more. It was very chaotic in regards to getting people in and them finding somewhere to stand. We stayed to the end. Now the band was great Management was really trying to make things right. Only drink we got was good. I will try them again but hope they have a better plan for next time.

We came here for the crawfish on Sunday $1.99 lb it was great but we then ordered food and it took more than 45 mins !!! If their kitchen is not open or not prep for making food on time they should not have a menu !!!!!!!! The one star is for the crawfish because the service sucks !!!!!

2nd time here (I know, my fault, but I work very close by) First the good: Great decor, the new owners have redecorated, furnished, etc... and it looks very classy. Unfortunately, that is all of the good. We sat outside for happy hour. Outside bar closed, and NO server. Had to go inside to get a drink for every round. 2 people working inside for approximate 40-50 customers! Beer (I tried 3 different ones) was all flat and warm. Food was awful (and slooow) Too bad, I was really hoping this place would be a fun happy hour bar.

This is the absolute worst bar I have ever been to in my entire life. The owner was clearly far from sober upon my arrival, and once I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, I noticed him smoking pot in front of everyone without a care in the world. If that wasn't enough, the food I only ordered due to being outrageously hungry(I never order bar food), never came out. I waited for 45 minutes. When I approached the owner he was practically incoherent and could barely walk in a straight line. His bar staff clearly hadn't a clue what they were doing, customers weren't receiving any attention, and the owner continued to take shots and smoke in a "non smoking" area. Why establish that rule and convince customers they have a smoke-free environment when you blatantly disregard it and your customers as a whole. Worst service, trashy attitude from the so-called "owner", and still never received my food. They're lucky I don't report them to the police. DO NOT waste you're night here!!!!

The use of illegal drugs in this place is rampant. I've wanted to post before ( due to walking outside and observing marijuana use and the horrendous odors from it) but I draw the line with seeing numerous little baggies with white powder residue in them scattered about the patio area. I can't be 100% positive but I'm pretty darn sure the employees are getting high as well. I've Notified the sheriffs office and I hope they do something about this growing issue.This place used to be fun I do t know what's happened in the course of a few years but it seems like complete negligence from management. Clean it up guys!

Same cool venue. You can vape inside and they have a large patio in the back with yard games. Bar tender tried to charge me $10 a piece for wells tho so be careful... Midtown prices and feel I guess.
