My kind of dive. The burgers and nachos were amazing. Juicy fries. The service is impeccable and the crowd is friendly. Really cool vibe here. Absolutely a must see.

Went there today for their Monday special, a big plate of spaghetti and two meatballs with garlic bread for $5. The spaghetti was excellent and cooked just the way I like it--in the sauce, so the spaghetti sucks up all the flavor. Because of that, there was plenty of meat sauce. The meatballs were large and tasty. I really had to force myself to finish the plate off. My dining partner doggy-bagged a full half of her plate. I got there a few minutes after 2 on a Monday afternoon, so it wasn't crowded at all. It's 80 degrees out, but a very cool and comfortable inside. It was quiet enough to have a conversation in a normal voice. The bartender/ waitress was extremely attentive, cheerful, and informative. I will be back to try out their one-dollar tacos on Tuesday, and their happy hour between 4 and 7 weekdays, when well drinks are $3. This is the old Scarantino's restaurant location, but the booths in the restaurant below have been replaced by another bar. Very promising!

Local dive. Food was stellar. We had street tacos, fish and chips, and the chiccaronnes. Would recommend more if they keep the pizza oven on.

Good spot free pool before 4pm Mon-Fri servers are always attentive and courteous, shout out to Jocelyn and Brittany for being great at emitting good vibes and great hospitality.

I have to confess I am a foodie, and despite my varied appreciation for dining choices, I have kept the hamburger as one of my absolute "must have's" during the week. The PUB's Eiffel tower hamburger presentation is nothing short of superb and is now one of my best go-to when I absolutely have to have a really juicy good one. Pub has various weekly specials during the week and I am excited to say, that this burger on Thursdays with fries is only $5! OH...note, there are many other items like Rib Eye steak which has to be experienced, and especially at the great value they offer it at. P.S. This picture is the actual burger I was served. I also want to add, that the menu has been greatly expanded from when they first opened their doors, so now it is offering some really amazing mouth watering choices.:-)

Classic place, definitely for pros. Tiny, run down with a big game room attached. One of the worst burgers I have ever had.

Got the burger and fries. Burger was tasty and a decent size. They have daily specials and happy hour. Staff was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this bar for food and drinks

My first time here with my husband. We had a great experience. The food was great! I love the garlic fries. The music was up beat. The waitress we had was fantastic! She was more than attentive, she took time to make sure my drink was to my liking and fixed it when it wasn't. Kate is an awesome waitress! We will definitely come back and bring friends. I honestly think the service can add or subtract an experience. In this case, the great service definitely added to the experience. ( David and Phi 😊)

Husband and I came here to get a couple shots and drinks. Was super fun. It's like an after work place we're all the business owners and people who work in offices. Go after work for a good time. Highly recommend.

Lost its charm, we had visited several times in the past. It was a pub vibe with decent food. Not anymore. Horrible service and under staffed. Regardless a complete disappointment. The cook was in the front talking, no food coming out. The bartender shouts from bar to the table what do you want to drink, only 3 people on the bar all with drinks already served...ordered chips and salsa. Never got our food. Cancelled after the drinks were done and left.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I guess they've had problems with people ordering food and not picking up / paying. Well if the service and food quality is like what we got tonight I can understand why. Online ordering wasn't working so I called. She had to ask her manager if she could take an order over the phone. Placed our order, was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. My husband went to pick it up and they hadn't even started it. They waited for him to get there to run his card before they did anything. That wasn't the worst of it though. Mozzarella sticks that were both freezer burnt and oil burnt. Inedible!! The pizza has NO SAUCE on it and it's missing a topping. I tried to call back to talk to management when I saw the mess and they wouldn't answer the phone. I believe it's time for The Pub to close the doors for good!!! We've ordered from there in the past and it was great. This was a total disappointment

I don't do reviews, but dam this place sucks!!!! $9.52 for a stella on tap and it comes with a dirty glass and you have to fetch it yourself.. For those prices you would expect a cleaner place with better service.. If your looking to party with white lines this is your place just dont wash it down with a expensive beer. If you need to get more goods, this is also your place. What a joke

I came across this chill bar a few nights ago and the bartender Tanya was so nice with great customer service skills. She makes a mean margarita, super strong would recommend to anyone definitely will be back hope to see my favorite bartender Tanya again!!!!!!

They completely screwed up the pool table layout! Much better before, first table to close to the stairs and the Foosball table in the way! Needs to go back to the original way! Whoever tight this was a good idea is an idiot!

Brian is the best bartender in the world. After only visiting twice, he knew our names and drink orders. Now we are regulars and it is definitely all because of his great service. Check out his skinny margs....they are amazing!

Drinks good, food absolutely terrible. Maybe if you only get pizza it's fine. Bathroom smells bad. Just have fun playing pool and drinking and don't expect anything else. It's actually good that old school places like this still exist. But edible food would make it better.

Service was ok. Unfortunately the chicken wings were cold, and our pizza took almost an hour to get. We were told that they had to turn on the oven and it took a while.

Shepard's Pie is top shelf, for sure! I'd say the best in the area (20 years in area). I topped it off with some jalapeño poppers, which were fresh and amazing. Perfect Pub feel Don't miss out on this culinary gem

Great little local dive bar with good sized menu. We ordered the New Jersey style thin crust (a large pepperroni and a margharita, $23 each) and they were very good, plus an Italian sandwich for $15 that was not so good b/c it was dry with scant lettuce & tomato, and the bread/roll was dry & hard, difficult to bite in to, and came with no side item...I've had better sandwiches for less. Good selection of beers on tap and in bottle but pricey with craft beers costing $9.52 and domestics $6.96 per pint. Atmosphere is typical dive-bar looking with pool table and some tables on one side and bar seating with some adjacent booth-tables on the other side. Not for families or special events but fine for hanging out with friends and drinking.

Most expensive pitcher of beer I've bought $28 and will never be going back again to waste my money

Hey what is open on Thanksgiving Day? Well it turns out that this pub and restaurant is open 365 days a year! When you walk in the dining room is on the right, and the bar area is on the left. Really friendly servers who gave us some good suggestions on beer and some light meals. I ordered the Stone IPA and my wife got and Ice-T. We also each got a pepperoni slice at $3.50 each. The pizza is pretty ordinary, but the slices are huge. They're actually about the same size as two regular slices. The dining area is set up with very long tables. They all face five big screen TVs, which of course our tune to your favorite sports shows. Our friendly server explained that the pub has been open about 1 year so far. They have a special menu which covers NFL specials. There are great deals on appetizers as well as pitchers of beer. Since it was just me drinking beer today, I decided against the pitcher. This is generally a very busy area, but on Thanksgiving Day, guess what? There's hardly anybody here! Thanks for the good service and good food.

This place was absolute trash. The bartender (a woman with long dirty blonde hair) treated us like crap. When we asked for the check, she threw the check at us because we pointed out the things we didn't order. She had the worst attitude of all time. Do not recommend going here. Oh and she was taking shots so that's probably why the check was wrong.

Brian is a new bartender + cook at the pub and I just tried his new deep fried burger and it was amazing!! Brian is a very creative and innovative guy - I want to try his wings next ! Definitely try his deep fried burger, especially after 8 pm

New in town and this is my fave place to relax and vibe. Drinks are strong, good beer selection, and food always hits the spot. The bar manager is pretty much the coolest chick in the freakin world. Highly recommend coming here.

In town for the weekend and found this on Yelp. Dog friendly. Strong drinks, good food (had Italian sandwich, calzone with pepperoni and Sausage. Toppings for calzone were only $.50 if you can believe that! Plain cooked chicken breast for our dog. GREAT service. Only downside was it is a little dingy on the inside but food & service makes up for that. Happy hour menu looked pretty extensive too, so may have to go back today for that.

My fave place to drink. Highly recommend coming here to hang out and eat and drink and party.

We had lunch at The Pub on 23862 Bridger Road in Lake Forest. It turned out to be another beautiful sunny day, so Diana & I decided to eat out for lunch. Nayaly our server was super nice and friendly. She was very helpful in our ordering. For our Appetizer: Chips & Salsa; A large basket of fresh, warm, and crispy tortilla chips. With a bowl of medium salsa. Delish! For my Entrée: Pub Burger; Beef patty, lettuce, tomato, swiss chess, mayo, and onions. With a large side of French fries with a dipping sauce. Ohh so good! I drank Diet Coke with my meal. Diana had: Patty Melt; Beef patty, cheese, onions, and mayo grilled to perfection. A great combination of flavors! For Dessert: Chocolate Cake; A piece of chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was super duperly delicious! Then we walk outside and took some photos. It is a legit pub, a little dated and furniture in shabby shape, but that doesn't bug me. It's just not a "first date" place. It's a place to hang out and drink while watching sports. They sent me a coupon for a BOGO cheeseburger deal. They said they have the best burger around.... Okay! Props for a great burger! Good presentation, fresh and quality beef and veggies. The service was good and the food was fancier than I would have expected for a pub. Pretty diverse menu!

First time for Taco Tuesday at The Pub which is a dive bar / pub off the 5 and El Toro. Carlos did a great job serving us. Food very good. Margarita / drinks were good as well. Looking for a replacement of Casa Ranchero in Ladera Ranch which had the best deal and food for Taco Tuesday till they closed .. we will do one every Tuesday min.

Decided to try a new bar to catch up with one of my friends. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bar tender Brian. He asked what my friend and I wanted. My friend knew right away that he wanted to have a gin n tonic. Brian showed him his favorite gin and gave my friend a sample. He really enjoyed the taste so he ordered it. I was unsure but decided to have a margarita. I chose the tequila Casamigos. Brian asked which of the three tequilas I'd like to have. I've only had the Blanco tequila so I was suggested to try Reposada. He told me it would be the best margarita I'd have in OC. I was skeptical at first because I've has some pretty good margaritas. He was right because it was the best margarita I've had! He was a very genuine bar tender who I wouldn't mind getting drinks from again. Their guests in The Pub were all super friendly towards us and sparked up a few conversations.The bar was the only spot I checked out that night but the pup also offers pool. Overall was a great experience and I will be back to get some more margaritas from Brian! Thanks again!

Didn't eat, kitchen was closed after 9 or so.. drinks are reasonably priced, but nice to know they have my favorites on tap.. garage brewing mango hef and space dust... cocktails were nicely poured and the atmosphere is that downhome dive bar feel that makes feel at ease.. will for sure visit again!!!

Food is so good here and the drinks are awesome as well. The chef really cares about his food quality and the service is Awsome. The outdoor pool table is really cool as well, love the vibes here

Not recommending this place unless it's your last resort. They have good service but most of the time people in the place aren't decent people at all. It might be a good teenager's place or for those like "Papa J" foxes.

Wow there is a female bartender that works her on Sunday night and she absolutely sucks!! She's rude and she doesn't even serve me it took her 30 mins to check up on me and when I told her I was rude about it! No apologies! Sorry but I'm not coming back!

Brian was an all around good dude and great bartender...kept the jokes coming and really made me feel welcomed...good place!great service from Brian and can't wait to go back

Raucous little sports bar in South County. Easy access from the 5 freeway (protip, turn into the Chase bank parking lot from El Toro to avoid the maze). Saturday and Sunday build your own breakfast burrito here is a treat, especially with $4 glasses of champagne and bloody mary's. I have not been here during the evenings, but I have heard during covid they have a DJ in the parking lot and tables set up so you can social distance and still get your dance on.

We waited 17 min for someone to come to our table to order. They were not busy and there was 8 staff visible. They only person to speak to us the very young host. We had time to plan our full order. 2x 13.00 drinks, Appetizer 23.00 two entree at 19.00 and 29.00 each. We saw 6 of the staff congregating behind the bar having drinks. So I guess I hey don't need our money. It's the first time we have been here and it was for a birthday celebration. Very disappointed and as we eat out frequently we were looking for something new to add to our rotation.

It is exactly that. A pub in lake forest! All of the charm of a pub (being in a local bar where everybody knows your name, bellying up to the bar, etc etc ) is slightly lost when you have to sit outside in the parking lot (covid ) but they're doing their best! They made great pizza, and had an awesome taco Tuesday deal that was tasty and cheap. Was a nice stop right off the freeway while on our road trip and also had clean bathrooms. I wouldn't go here if you're looking for healthy food but I also think that's implied in the words "the pub".

Thursday lunch starts with a $6.50 Margarita made by bartender Naielli (Only $3.00 during Happy Hour on Tuesdays), perfectly balanced with a light blend of sweet and sour and a heavy pour of tequila. Then a $12 Pub Burger with a loaded plate of fat, real fries and my go-to side of ranch dressing. My friend ordered a $10 build-it-yourself calzone, adding olives, tomatoes, and spinach toppings at $0.25 each. Light, with a cloud of ricotta cheese and a thin crispy crust - Yummy! The charming and friendly Joaquin, to my left, ordered a thin-crust 18" cheese pizza, which was the $10 Thursday Special. For an extra $4.00 he got half the pizza with big fat slices of sausage and bell pepper, the other half ham and pineapple. Absolutely delicious! My tummy was going to be challenged to find room for all the wonderful opportunities at hand. I was told that Maria, who is doing all the dayshift cooking, is a perfectionist. I tipped her in cash, because it truly was a wonderful meal, and she deserved to be recognized for it all! This place looks a little rough around the edges on the outside, and is in a location not known for fine dining, but it's a gastronomic pleasure on the inside, to be sure. There are shuffleboard and Foosball tables inside, plus a felt pool table in the outdoor patio / smoking area. Multiple video screens for sports fans, and the bar is separate from a larger room with family style seating at long tables. If you haven't eaten here before, come for the great food, and return for the GREAT FOOD and great value! Truly a hidden gem in Lake Forest, right off the 5 freeway at El Toro, on Bridger.

The Pub is a sweet place! Sammy, the chef is always cooking up something nice , the pizza is hand tossed & the wing special hits different+ NFL gameday specials on food/beer are cheap.. the 3 pool tables are nice too.

I got an email for a BOGO Pub burger so I followed the drections to place my order for two 12 dollar Pub burgers for the price of one and figured it better be good for 12 bucks! I got an email back after I ordered and payed for the great deal with frys included! After 20 minutes I got there and no one knew anything about the order???? I showed the bar tender the order on my phone so they made a phone call to the owner and after waiting for 15 more minutes the bartender put the order in. The bar was really loud and I realized I would probably be there a while so I ordered a Michalada. It was 10 dollars for the beer with Clamato juice added. I have to admit I haven't ordered a beer in a while but I didn't realize the prices had gone up so much for burgers and beer. Everyone was very nice about the misunderstanding the food was average but I probably won't go back to this place!

This little spot is great for a mellow night out. We were there on a Saturday evening. We weren't looking for anything fancy just some good greasy food and beer. This is definitely the spot for that. The food, prices, service and drinks are great. The bartender Adriana was super nice and attentive.

The worst chicken sandwich I've ever had, made worse by the fact it's not what I ordered. Tastes frozen and is chewy to the point of inedible. Stale bread burnt too.

Came in last night for a bluegrass jam. The pizza and nachos looked delish but I ordered the 3 taco trio. It was OK...I got ground beef, carne asada and chicken and they all could have used more flavor. All were a little dry, especially the chicken but the salsa helped. Service and prices were very good and since I feel it is worth another try I will be back.

First time going here with my mom and son for a quick bite. We made it just in time for Happy Hour! The food did not disappoint and house white zin for $3 a glass can't be beat. Huge chicken strips with thick cut, seasoned fries came out piping hot. They were devoured by my 4.5 year old within minutes. The Irish nachos were thick potato rounds covered in melted cheese, green onions, bacon, and a huge dollop of sour cream. The small (not even that small) house salad was fresh with good ranch! I'd definitely come here just for the food and add the drinks on the side. And our waitress was super sweet too! Right off the freeway to boot!

Bar was empty, we came in for a beer and some pizza but apparently the kitchen closes @ 10 :( The bartender was nice so we sat down and just ordered 2 Stella's on tap. Then she says....wait for it...... $16.20 FOR TWO TAP BEERS WTF? I highly doubt we will be back to the pub

It was our first time here and Thank You Chrissy ( The One With The Beautiful Blonde Hair) & Chris for making us feel so welcomed! By far the pub is lake Forest's hidden gem! Don't hesitate to ask for them! For sure I will continue to come & recommended this place! Also the wings are delicious (:

Why did it take me so long to finally come to this place.... This spot is so laid back. Not too crowded, not too divey, and friendly staff. Just the right balance for a fun relaxing night with friends. Come for happy hour! Great food selection on the HH menu. My favorites are the bacon wrapped jalapenos and Irish nachos. So bomb. The drinks are stiff and worth the penny. Fun atmosphere. Lots of parking. Great service. Food 5* Price 4* Service 5* Location 4*

The Pub donated a boat load of delicious pizzas to our nursing staff at Kaiser Permanente in Mission Viejo yesterday! Thanks you so much for this generous and thoughtful gesture!

Decided to go check out the Pub (Scarentinos?) We wanted to watch the Hockey game without all the crazy noise we get at Oggi's or High Park... walked into a car area and there is a second area with a car and lots of tables and a huge tv screen (wasn't very clear). We decided to sit at the bar there were just a few people in there. We had read that the food was good! And it was very good! Met some very nice people and Chris the bartender is very nice and social... does his job well. We will be back again!
