The Best Irish Pubs in Las Vegas, According to Eater Editors | Eater Vegas

"Come for the beer, stay for friendly service, fish and chips, games like Jenga, and a comfortable outdoor patio. The vibe is more laid back than other Irish bars since it’s close to Lake Las Vegas, but that’s likely what you’re after if you’re out here. Alongside the more bar-leaning bites, the Pub also offers Caesar salad, a bistro burger, and fish tacos." - Janna Karel

If I could give the food negative stars I would. Never in my life have I been served chicken wings quite as terrible as these. If I were the cook I would never have given these to a customer. Reuben was also so salty it was inedible.

We stopped in for a drink and dinner after gluing out on a boat ride in Lake Las Vegas. What a pleasant way to end the day. Our server, Jorge, was the best! He made great suggestions and was simply fun. The drinks we tasty and reasonable. I had fish & chips that were the best meal at our table. My wife had a rueben that she said was great. Man! Those fries we cooked perfectly and who doesn't love steak fries. If you do, don't miss out on these.

Google
In short: We were beyond disappointed with our experience, especially for the prices we paid. The longer version: We were looking for some good pub food we could take back to our room and enjoy. I ordered the pub pretzel described as follows: “1 large soft twist pretzel served with aged cheddar cheese sauce and spicy brown mustard.” I got a concession stand pretzel with basic nacho cheese sauce and no mustard and was cooked hard. Additionally I ordered the Buffalo chicken salad with ranch. There was no ranch and (see the picture) the chicken tenders, were far from chicken tenders. The “Pub Chicken Nachos” were described as follows: “ Potato split skin dippers, aged cheddar cheese sauce, ….”, please tell me where the potato split skin dippers are! Those are fries. Now, for those thinking, “maybe that’s just what they call their fries,” I wondered the same and had to revisit the menu. Nope! There is a distinction between fries and potatoes skins on the menu. The lesson: Go at your own risk! Perhaps the drinks are GREAT! There are definitely a few other restaurants on the lake that are worth the spend- Medici, Luna Rossa, Sonrisa Grill & Mimi & Coco Grill just to name a few for good food. So I hope your experience is significantly better than ours. Perhaps there’s something spectacular on the menu that we missed. As for us, we’re glad we stopped at the gelato spot on the way back to our room so we had something salvageable to enjoy.

Not a bad little bar, but one of only a few drinking options besides hotels. However, the food prices were astronomically high. $20 for 10 wings? Easy walk from Hilton though. We ordered 2 smithwicks draughts and both seemed flat. I did mention it, so maybe they fixed it.

Being the only bar in the area they would benefit from adding some entertainment, a pool table, some darts, other than that service, food ans drinks are great

Google
Great food and great service! If your in or passing through Lake Las Vegas worth a stop! I had a Cheeseburger and mom had the Cesar salad!

Google
Great food. Fun people. Enjoyed walking around the area by the lake.

In the mood for a gigantic burger? Love to eat by the Lake? Feeling like checking out a cool pub? This is the place!! #lakelasvegas

Yelp
Decided Saturday early evening was a perfect burger/fries time. The Pub offered a "Gourmet Pub Burger." The burger was absolutely what I could have hoped for. Kudos to the chef! The soft brioche bun and the steak fries added an elevated element to my meal. My meal - completely satisfying! Casual atmosphere in which Taylor/Nick/Jorge are attentive servers who are totally engaging.

Yelp
Back home in Lake Las Vegas for a few. Decided to stop in the local pub. A step above, it's not only just bar food. Always delicious, the staff is very friendly and will put on any sporting event you would like to watch.

Becca G.

Yelp
The salads, fish tacos, and fries are pretty decent. Omar and the three servers (Hispanic male, shorter Caucasian male, and Caucasian female) consistently pleasant. You can tell that they love the community they serve and their job. Joe on the other hand is consistently rude and extremely unpleasant. Several of us regulars walk out the moment we spot him behind the bar.

Yelp
After visiting The Pub many times in the past few years, we have decided to celebrate St Patrick's Day here again! Knowingly, we arrived at dinner time, and luckily we were able to get a table immediately. We chose the table outside, on the patio. The place was very festive with decoration all around, and live music inside, we had a great time! Ordered the Scotch Eggs for appetizers, and the Corned Beef and Cabbage for the entree. Food came out very quickly despite the restaurant and bar being pretty busy. There were cocktail waitresses walking around, offering complimentary beer to guests. That was a great idea to make people try those drinks! And with the beer being served, we also received a green necklace for St Patrick's Day! That was a great experience!

Yelp
Ok, the fish tacos are by far the best I've ever had...Just amazing, the service is excellent with a great personality I believe his name is Jorgè and the bartender is cool and very personable Jerod. The environment is super cool inside the pub and in the village. Beautiful place to spend an evening. Food, service and atmosphere ROCKS. Highly recommend... it's pretty much a local hang out but tourist people would have a great time... it's very chill.

Bob M.

Yelp
Had a blast here. Waiter was hilarious. Nachos were acceptable. Prices weren't bad by Lake Las Vegas standards.
google avatar

Yelp
The Pub held promise, but fell flat. The atmosphere has the vibe of a traditional pub and the whisky selection was impressive. Bartenders were cool as well. If only we had stuck with drinking and not ordered from the dinner menu. The shepherd's pie is inaccurately listed as it is made from ground beef, no lamb. It was plain, no flavor and very little effort. Simply mashed potato over cooked ground beef and veggies. It's such an easy dish to make well and there was clearly no effort or thought behind it. Sadly for the Mrs, even less effort and thought for the chicken tacos. Actually calling them chicken tacos is an insult to chicken and to tacos. Tortillas were heated in a microwave and chicken likely was as well. Clearly just dumped from a bag. I would stop in for a drink, but do NOT order food unless you are wanting something less than what you could prepare yourself at home.

Yelp
Your restaurant and the one across from you aught to coordinate music..... my ear holes have been raped! Two different styles of music at the same time at very loud volume
google avatar

Yelp
This place seems to be the favorite of this village. It's a more cozy PUB with in and outdoor seating. It was quite full so we decided to wander around the area and returned later. The Magners Cider tasted so fresh and clean. Didn't know it has a little pink color to it! The chicken Caesar had a thin hand sized sliced simply grilled chicken breast. There was a copious amount of Caesar dressing and cheese sprinkles....I love that! We also got the Shepherds pie with extra cheese. I could taste the lamb but it was very pleasant, not gamey. If you pay with credit card, they have POS machine in hand for a quick transaction.

Yelp
Went to the Pub for a low-key dinner with some work peeps while in the area for a conference. This was my first time in Lake Las Vegas, and I have to say the area is absolutely lovely. This place was interesting - definitely has pub/bar food staples, and from a wine/beer perspective, just the basics. We asked about the rose, and sounds like it's from Walmart, and the Sauvignon blanc, we heard Napa (the bottle said Modesto, so pretty close - LOL ) We also asked the waiter for a recommendation between a few items - he recommended the fish tacos or the fish and chips and seemed pretty strong on those being THE recommendations (again, LOL). So, I went with the fish and chips. It was pretty good - huge portion, really greasy but not in a bad way necessarily. 3 stars for food. Bloody Mary's were good - wine was not, so an even 3 stars for drinks. But, plus a star for the service - the honest recommendations, hilarious waiter, and for the bartender swapping out the beer my coworker didn't like with something she did.

Yelp
Say what!?! If we knew that the food here is so tasty, we would've come sooner. Breakfast burrito and sliders are what we tried and both are winners. $6 Bloody Mary to wash it all down. We will be regulars.

Yelp
I come to Lake Las Vegas every day in the morning. I decided to come to this particular place to have an early dinner, service was magnificent. The food was delicious however $16 plus tax for Caesar salad with three little pieces of chicken, smaller than my pinky is absolutely absurd.

Minnie M.

Yelp
Why would the pub get rid of onion soup and apple pecan salad and the taco salad? A group of us have been coming here every Monday night for over 10 years. We love Stacey the server and are now going to move our group dinner somewhere else because you guys got rid of the onion soup and apple pecan salad and taco salad. Bad decision
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant recently changed management but the atmosphere is the same if not better. I was happy to see a larger crowd when we came for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant has mostly bar type seating and definitely has an Irish pub feel. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well. For our meal we both had the Shepherds Pie which was delicious and very large. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

Rick M.

Yelp
I sadly write this review. Historically the food has been solid with great burgers. Today they were very busy but no excuse for poor quality product. Has the chicken nachos which use a wedge potato smothered in liquid cheese. The chicken is a frozen product. Blah. The meatloaf was cold. I would have been happy to wait an extra 3-4 minutes for hot food. The taste had potential. The vegetables were frozen. The pretzel appetizer are two smaller Bavarian style pretzels that are a frozen product and inedible. Hard as a rock. Quite disappointing.

Yelp
A very nice place to visit at Lake Las Vegas. A very good beer, whiskey menu at some very generous prices. Great music as well. A must while you're here.
google avatar

Santhosh V.

Yelp
It was okay. Good service. Pretty small space. Not many TV's to watch games. Was hoping to watch football/soccer games World Cup. Was disappointed. Had the blackened chicken sandwich and some lemon/ginger beer. The sandwich wasn't the best but the beer was good.
google avatar

Ali B.

Yelp
Slow but friendly service and nice atmosphere. But the food could not be any worse. Kind of embarrassing how bad the food is. Bland and frankly was wondering how long some of this stuff has been sotting in the storage room. Even the stadium style nach cheese (served with the stale luke warm pretzel) tasted off. If you are stopping in for a leisurely drink, 5 stars but I wouldn't recommend the food to an enemy.
google avatar

Shannon C.

Yelp
Service was fast and friendly. Love the atmosphere. Has a very Irish style setting and TVs for the fights and football. Priced right. I got the Loco Moco this round and it was delicious. Decent size patio that gets some sunlight towards later part of day.

Yelp
I had the meatloaf with homemade sauce and blue cheese; green beans and carrots on the side. My friend had the shepard's pie--combo of ground beef/lamb in homemade sauce with mashed potatoes baked. It was fine but I didn't think the food out of this world. We enjoyed the live music (Fri and Sat nights).

Yelp
I would never go to this place again. We were heading there for a Celebration of life, for my friend who lost a 2 year battle with cancer. We booked a room at the Hilton so we would be within walking distance from the Pub. 2 days before the event, one of the owners called my friend's daughter and canceled the event because they found out my friend was a honorably retired Las Vegas Metro Officer. This man served our country as a U.S. Marine, then as a police officer. Shame on this place.
google avatar

Jason A.

Yelp
This pub has a really cool Irish pub ambience, and the people who work here really make it feel authentic. Awesome service, they let me bring my dog out on the patio, super friendly vibe, the drinks were strong and delicious, great tap selection too. The food here was awesome too, everyone in our party said 5 stars. I have to say we came the Sunday before memorial day and it was pretty busy, but everyone still managed to smile and make us feel welcome.

Yelp
Great place to watch sports! The bartenders their deliver great service as well as the serving staff! A must when in the village.

Kyle J.

Yelp
It was decent. Service was fast and friendly, despite the lunch rush. Fish and Chips was alright. The chips could use a bit of seasoning. The Magners Cider that was recommended in one of the Yelp reviews was pretty good. Would probably come back again.

Yelp
Will absolutely not visit this establishment again. We came here today at around 2pm for a drink. I had been before and had a great experience, today was just bad. We sat towards the back of the bar where the jenga and connect 4 was. With a group of 4 people, we wanted to play some games while we drank. I approached the connect 4 game and before I could even invite another person in my group to play, our server (receipt said his name was Malachi) ran over to us and requested us not to play because "the sound scared all of the other guests" and that "the games are more for the night customers when its louder in the bar" excuse me!? Why are the games out if they don't want anyone to play? But okay... whatever. We sat down and Malachi handed out the menus, IMMEDIATELY after he handed us the menus he asked us what we would like to order without giving us a chance to look over the menu. We asked for a minute and he left. When he came back to take our order, he asked my 3 friends what they wanted first. When the 3rd person ordered a flight, he immediately turned around and headed to the bar to start preparing the flight, not even asking me what I wanted to order. I turned around and said "Excuse me I would like to order something as well" and he responded with "Well, I was going to start the flight first". How are you going to go to a table of 4 people, take 3 peoples orders and ignore the 4th person? He got our drinks and about 30 minutes later, checked on us again, went around the table and asked if he could get anyone another drink. He again skipped over me and came back 30 seconds later to ask if I wanted anything. He took my beer off the bill because he wouldn't allow us to play the games.. not because he forgot about me twice. I have never been this disrespected in an establishment and will not be returning.

Yelp
The bar tender said he was hungover and we waited 45 minutes just to order are drinks. Would not recommend

Stephanie B.

Yelp
We've been sitting at a table for 20 minutes and have yet to even be acknowledged. The tables are all full but there isn't a wait. They honestly have no idea what they're doing. I'm assuming even if we were to get to order our food would take forever. I see that other tables are equally frustrated. What a bummer on a beautiful spring night.

Yelp
A friend was invited to attend a "Celebration of Life" at this location. The deceased was a former Las Vegas Police Officer who had recently passed away. The day prior to the event, the owner apparently found out that the person had been a police officer and abruptly informed the family that they absolutely could not hold the celebration at his establishment and needed to relocate. I'm sorry, but even though I realize a business can refuse service to anyone, I feel that this is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Needless to say, I will never patronize this place, and hopefully if you are a law enforcement supporter like I am, neither should you.

Gary T.

Yelp
A family had made plans to have a celebration of life for their loved one at this place. Management gave the ok, but on the day of the event they cancelled it due to the fact the deceased was a retired police officer. Truly unsympathetic!

Yelp
A group of nine of us wandering around the resort village popped in to eat. They had a great selection of beers and Burgers amongst other stuff. We all enjoyed our meals and beverages and would return if in the neighborhood again. Worth the stop.
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
My go to when visiting the village. Lots of TV's to watch the game and UFC fights. Great Americana and classic pub fare menu with very generous portions. Well rounded beverage options with great bourbon and scotch, plenty of draft beer handles and some craft brews. They have added some games like beer pong outside but have seating where the darts and pool table was. Understandable during COVID to maximize dining space.
google avatar

Yelp
We love this place. It has a great ambience and very welcoming. All of the guys and gals are very friendliness as well. My husband is obsessed with their carnitas tacos and when we have friends come down he makes them try them and everyone loves them. Myself, on the other hand... hasn't had much luck on the food end. They have a good pretzel, but it's regular plastic cheese. Not even spicy. Or beer cheese. Also; the garlic fries are good.

Arha S.

Yelp
We stopped by the pub and I ordered the whiskey mushroom Swiss burger which was the best burger I've ever had and the fries are cut big .
google avatar

Marie T.

Yelp
My friend told me that this place has the best meatloaf so I just needed to try here. It was really yummy! The meatloaf was very tender and tasty. I also had spinach salad with chicken. Like the dressing. Grilled chicken was not soft but tasted ok. The bartender was cool and friendly.

Yelp
Best Clam Chowder I've had in years! Scotch Egg is legit and Fish n Chips are also delish! Friendly genuine service. What a great unplanned lunch discovery!

Yelp
Totally recommend! We had the Black & Bleu Cheese Angus Burger w/Steak Fries, Ahi Tuna Tacos appetizer in the background of the pic I posted. Both were pretty awesome! Nicholas & our new server (sorry forgot your name) we're amazing! They split our burger order for us without us asking them to. Also, I noticed they clean up very well after customers leave (COVID CLEAN!)

Yelp
Nice place to watch a game and enjoy better than expected food. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I've been to this spot before for a friend's birthday way back in the day. And I truly remember it being an awesome spot. Sadly, our customer service was definitely mixed this time around. We were at Lake Las Vegas with a HUGE group after going on a yacht for my friend's birthday. His fiance had told us to go ahead and head to this pub and let them know that there should be a reservation of 40 people under her name there. We walked in and sadly weren't greeted the best. Maybe the waitress was having an off-day? I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. We told them we had a reservation for 40 people under my friend's name. They just kind of looked at us and said well there's no seating. However, the patio was completely empty. So I mentioned my friend had called ahead and since there really wasn't any seating inside, we'd be more than happy to take the patio. We got a huge eyeroll back, which was a little upsetting. If I heard 40 people were coming in to my establishment, I probably would have seen dollar signs lighting up haha, but maybe she was just having not such a great day. Luckily, as we were walking out, a spot opened up so my friend's 80 year old grandfather had somewhere cool to sit. We all decided to head out onto the patio. It took the same waitress a bit to come outside and give us some menus, that I just decided to go to the bar. I'm glad I did because the bartender was so extremely friendly. He took my order, remembered my name every time I went up and would say "thank you, Kayla" after handing me my next drink. He was the people's champ! When the waitress did eventually come outside and I decided to try to order some food (was even open to opening another tab to do so), but she made a comment that she could go tell the bartender I wanted some pretzels or maybe I could? Literally so weird. She just stared at me after asking if I wouldn't mind running in to tell the bartender I would like to order some food because she can't start a new tab for me. I just kind of stared back and then she did get the hint. My pretzels came out shortly after that, so I do appreciate her going out of her way to make sure I got my food because I wasn't sure if it would eventually come out seeing as she didn't seem to like our group very much haha. Now, when I did decide to go back inside, they had this amazing guitarist singing some really fun songs! He was incredible. Definitely added some positivity to our experience (along with my bartender friend haha!). He was great and was taking requests all night long. My husband bought him a drink and he played our friend's favorite song for his birthday. It was definitely a highlight of the night! Although we had some not so great service at the beginning, I'd definitely go back here. It's for sure a fun bar and the atmosphere is a great time.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, good food, and always awesome service and staff. Came during the knights playoff games and got free shots for every goal, gotta love that!

Yelp
Not the best food I've ever had but it's decent for pub/bar food. Service was great! TVs available if you're into sports
google avatar

Yesie Uakea G.

Yelp
Not understanding the two star grade from Yelp reviews. We had a great experience last Sunday. We were welcomed in as soon as they opened by Kat the server. She was genuine, sweet and buzzed around the pub getting everyone's request in with a friendly disposition. She took the time to explain the menu items to us. We decided to try Scottish eggs for the first time. They did not disappoint. We will definitely be back when at Lake Las Vegas.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
This is a great pub to stop and relax. The atmosphere is a mix between an Irish pub, an American sports bar and an upscale bar. There are several TVs with sports on, plus some great music in the background. The people working here are very nice and service is prompt. They have a great selection of beers on tap as well as many craft beers. The bar is fully stocked and the food is delicious. We ordered the fish taco appetizer. It came with 3 tacos. They were the biggest and THE BEST fish tacos in Vegas. Check out the pic as they are monstrous. It is a little pricey but absolutely first class food. Worth the drive. They have great happy hours and VGK watch parties and prices.

Cecilia J.

Yelp
The Pub has the best burgers ever!!! Try it and you'll be back. Nice atmosphere and of course the lake is beautiful.

Yelp
*Update! Now I have food poisoning! I couldn't have gotten it anywhere else! What on earth?! I literally spit my food out. Carrots were rotten and fried! Woest Shepard's pie I've eaten in my life, and I love Shepard's pie. Just tasted old and gross. Didn't even bother drinking my beer, I just had to get out of there! UGH! SICK!

Yelp
Great service and food at The Pub! Located in the Village at the Hilton, we had a bit of a hard time finding it, but ate so glad we did! We will be back the next time we are in town!

Yelp
From the basket of napkins, to the shrimp and bread, to Candice, the apple and honey shots, green tea shots, new friends and modelo's it is f***ing perfect! Here in Lake Las Vegas mmmmm I love u

Yelp
Please stay in business! You are the head of the Village. The service is great and the location too. Enjoy anything on their menu and if you aren't happy they'll be shirt to make you happy.

Yelp
This place has really great food for a bar. Sheppards Pie and LocoMoco is so good. Super busy when we came and bartender came out to wait on us. No complaints

Gregg C.

Yelp
I just drove into town I was looking for somewhere to eat I found The Village in Las Vegas Lakes and found many little local restaurants that were all along a cobble stone walkway. The are was very quaint and had a resort feel. I was looking for some dinner and found The Pub where I met Jennifer the waitress who recommended some menu specials which I found to be very tasty. The l service was, with a smile, and she seemed very sincere about her recommendations. I tried some "European" favorites that were on the menu. Wow they tasted great. So Great Food and Great Service and very reasonable prices. I hope this help YOU when your in the area and looking for something special.
