The Pub

Says families welcome but didn't see a sign on the outside saying smoking was allowed inside. We wouldn't have gone if that were the case. Families might be welcome but it is not a family friendly place to eat. We go to pubs a lot on road trips because they 'always' have the best food but we won't be coming back here. The service was great, both waitresses were nice. The burger was alright, tots and chicken were delicious, but the fries were bland and not tasteful and extra dipping sauce costs extra but they only fill the cups halfway.

We just stopped in on our way thru to Colorado! Burger was HUGE and it was delicious! Great dive bar, with awesome service and people!!! Won't forget it!

Good service from the young lady who was bartending. She had some suggestions as far as local Wyoming beer which was nice. We had the Rocky Mountain oysters, original cheeseburger and a burger with pepper jack and green chile. The burger patties were massive at 3/4 lb and the price was right. I would say most definitely not “the best burger in the world” as stated by others but it was good and is definitely satisfying. Atmosphere is old school bar style and is comfortable. I recommend the black tooth brewing co “saddle bronc” brown ale.

I have to say we were pleasantly surprised at this small-town bar/restaurant. Very basic and unassuming when you walk in, but the burgers and tots are some of the best I've had. Super fresh burger with great flavor. The tots were crispy and not greasy at all. Service was via the bartender and she was awesome.

Stopped by for food while traveling Dakotas to Colorado. Waitress was welcoming and friendly. The burgers were excellent!

Best burger that my husband and me have ever eaten. Was here in june last year, on a roadtrip. We came back this year only for the burger. We’re from Norway.

Great burger. Had the pork chile and I had the fire one. Fries were fresh. Burger was gigantic. Reasonable prices. Stop here if you’re passing through.

Just fair at best. We ordered a mushroom burger and a grilled ham and cheese. Burger was overcooked (they don’t ask you how you like it) and sandwich was so greasy I couldn’t eat it. Be aware, smoking is allowed inside.

This was a fun little experience for us... We love dive bars, so we were looking for a dive bar with good food. This hit the mark. The three-quarter pound burgers were giant and truly delicious as were their onion rings... Crispy and greasy - just the way I like them. Nice selection of local WY beers. We tried two of them. The place is dimly lit and not much to write home about, but that's what we expect from a dive: we loved it! If you are pretentious &/or woke, go away: this is NOT YOUR place. This is a down-home, locals hangout with the coolest local patrons and an hysterical bartender (she was awesome). In fact the day that we came, she was talking about a TikTok warning that the US was going to be bombed by Iran and the locals sitting at the bar were giving her a hella hard time about it - we sort of joined the comedy show as "table number six" (which is how the bartender referred to us throughout our visit) as we laughed along with them, giving this good natured bartender a hard time about the TikTok news; bantering back and forth about how much time we have left before Lusk was bombed . We left in a really good mood and we can't wait to go back - presuming the building is still standing (after we left to get out of Dodge before the 5 1/2 hour timeline before the bomb dropped. LMAO)! Definitely gonna be one of our stops every time we're in Lusk! 5-star dive bar experience!

I find the help always makes the visit a true enjoyable time. The food is tasty and if you have a problem with something they offer up a good fix thanks for your business

Cindy the bartender is a queen, & this place has a family type feel. Drinks were flowing and really tasty, and my brother loved his food. It's a really small town, so support this small business if you find yourself in Lusk!

Stopping at The Pub has become our road trip tradition when heading west. The 3/4# burgers are amazing! I had a green chili burger this time and it as delish. Messy - but that's how I like my burgers! My husband had a bacon cheeseburger and he said it was great, too. A fun little extra... you can smoke in the bar! My husband brought a cigar so he could enjoy it indoors for a change. That being said, The Pub is well ventilated and is not smoky. I know that's really important to some. If you like a great local bar with excellent food - this is it!

The place is great! Stop by every year heading to Sturgis. The food and drink are on point.

Great burgers with huge patty. We asked for medium rare and got well done. Very friendly. Two pool tables. Awesome spot if you're into vaping and smoking as this was going on throughout the place.

Here in this nice little town for a quick visit and came across The Pub. The cheeseburger was the best I have had in a while! The patty was super thick and moist and the onion rings were delicious too! Cool bar and pub place with friendly staff and customers.

This is our favorite stop on the way to Sturgis every year. Their bloody mary and onion rings are hands down the best I've ever had. Honestly, there isn't a bad thing on the menu. Their staff is also awesome and super friendly, highly recommend!!!!

Had the Cajun burger with bacon, it was 3/4 lb of tasty burger. Loved this burger and wife really enjoyed the kick burger. If we travel through Lusk again will definitely stop again, Connie was a great bar tender. I loved the fact you can still smoke inside and I am going to make a road trip there just to have done beers and smoke a cigar.

Bar food, was edible too bad I chose the wrong place to eat and was disappointed. Not much to choose from in very small town. It is a BAR, smoky and dark I could have eaten any where else for a decent meal.

Good ole local pub. BE AWARE THIS IS 21+ ONLY! Large array of pub foods and burgers. The burgers are huge and the appetizers, or munchies are large portions as well! Good selection of beer for a 'small' town. Staff was attentive and friendly. It's a local place, not fancy but we'll loved. Would definitely stop here again to continue supporting local businesses!

Ate lunch here today. Our cheeseburger and onion rings were very good. The hamburger is 3/4 lbs so we split one. The service was good too. Atmosphere smells like stale smoke but the food was good and we would return if we come through here again.

Went in on a Thursday for lunch the bartender was rude as hell! She's very snobby and pretentious but has no reason to be! The owner seemed not to care how she was treating customers. Was very unhappy with the whole experience!!! Won't be returning!

Stopped in on our way to Belle Fourche. Felt like instant outsiders by the funny looks we got. But glad we stayed. Beer was great fat tire Stake was amazing!! Perfect!! And huge!! Wouldn't skip it!!

Simple bar with locals at the bar and just us Aussies. Nice laid back atmosphere. One of the locals wandered over to say 'Hi' and asked where we were from and where we were going next. Very subdued and relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday night with football on the TV and a handful of patrons. Burgers, sandwiches and the usual range of appetisers. Waitress was also doing the bar and cooking the meals but it didn't take long at all. We had a burger and had read it was large so split one with a side serve of onion rings. The meal + 1 wine + 2 beers was less that $25. Can't complain about that!

Best burgers in the area, hands down. Nice small town bar, with great food, and a pretty good beer selection. Tends to serve mostly the smalltown and rancher crowd, but the jukebox don't stop if you want something other than Bud, Coors or Jack Daniels. The burgers are AMAZING. 2/3 or 3/4 pound of fresh local beef. It has FLAVOR. Many choices on toppings as well. Standard bar appetizers which have all been good in my visits.

When I'm I must stops from Sturgis Colorado Springs I love you walk in. Service was fast and friendly and the food is typical died the bar and delicious.

Delicious and huge burgers, they are the best burgers we ever ate in our whole life and we will be coming back to visit this beautiful town with friendly community. It's exactly what you would expect it to be, and that's perfectly okay considering it is what you'll find on the road to Mt. Rushmore. Right off the two lane highways you take for pretty much the large majority on the way up, you can stop here and get a good burger and some nice small town America while you dine. Don't expect fancy and don't try to get fancy, because that's where you might get disappointed. There are fly swatters on the wall and the smell of smoke in the air, but the bartender is your waitress too, and she's very friendly, and the burger is huge and better than it needs to be. And the tots are crispier than they need to be too. So eat your grub, drink your beer, and get back in your car and on the road!

My sis and I stopped here for lunch on our way to the Black Hills. Based on previous reviews, we thought we'd try it. The bacon cheese burger was excellent. Our fries were extra crispy and delish. Service was prompt.

Service was decent. Admit eating lunch at 3pm is not smart. Only had one employee on but she did great. Burgers where all very good and portions where big. It is a tight little place and kinda dark. I'm sure it would be a fun place to grab a drink in the evening as well. Price was average. Just right for the amount of food you get.

We were driving through and were looking for some good food. The atmosphere is a little rough. It is a great biker bar. There is a strong smell of smoke when you go in. We ordered a "Burrito" and the sandwich with chicken fried steak. The lady behind the bar, who also cooked the food, was great. She was very nice and we were surprised how well she treated us. The "Burrito" was actually two fried chimichangas. I don't know if it was a mistake or just what they call a burrito. Regardless, it was a pretty good dish. The chicken fried steak sandwich had onions, bacon, and swiss cheese on it. It came with a heaping pile of fries. When she brought my sandwich, she apologized and said she overcooked it. She said it was the last one or would have redone it. She offered to make something else if it was too overdone. The sandwich was overdone, but will still very good flavor wise. She felt bad at the end and didn't change for the sandwich. If you are looking for some good cheap food in the town, stop by. Don't be deterred by the atmosphere or look from the outside, give it a shot.

Huge burger, it was o.k. Got the mushroom and Swiss. It had 3 or 4 mushrooms and a half slice of Swiss. If your looking for a laid back atmosphere, lots of cigarette smoke and o.k food, this is the place. I'll pass.

It's the only place to eat lunch it's just the place if ur on limited time always friendly and they have the best lunch cook in town hands down come check it out management is amazing
