This is a great find for those who are gluten free like me! I liked it so much, we came back a second time in our stay in Savannah. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer, so it was quite a treat to have gluten free fries! They let me order the gluten free chicken tenders and fries from the kid’s menu (+parmesan and truffle oil.) So good! The second day I got the gluten free stuffed squash, which was also super yummy. My friend loved the apple grilled cheese and salmon bruschetta. The cocktails were also to die for!

Great first experience. Awesome Food and Vibes. Our server Stella did a good job keeping an eye on us. The Duck Confit was So Delicious. My wife had the Smothered Pork Loin, which was very tasty. The Baked Brie dip was a perfect way to start our meal. We'll be back for sure.

My recent visit here was excellent. 3 of us arrived on Saturday around 5:30 and were able to choose between immediate seating in or out of doors (we chose to sit outside) There was a lot of foot traffic however it never felt like we were being pushed in on so was no issue. The star of the meal was the shrimp and grits. All of the flavors blended beautifully and the chorizo added just a touch of spice. Absolutely recommend this dish The service was also great. Our server, Jaylynn, was very friendly and laid back, and gave great suggestions. I'd almost go back just to sit in her section again. Good drinks, great food, wonderful service

This is THE best food my husband and I have ever had, and we are avid food lovers. We got the duck confit and the shrimp and grits, along with a side of garlic whipped potatoes and the Crimson Supernova cocktail. The duck is slow cooked in its own fat for three days, if I’m remembering what the waitress said correctly. It was so tender that it fell apart with barely a touch of my knife. It was flavored immaculately and paired with toasted farro, roasted potatoes and carrots, and an apricot chutney. After the first bite, I could have fallen over, it was so delicious. The shrimp and grits had a rich, creamy sauce with a slight spiciness to it and depth of flavor that I can’t even explain with words. There were pieces of sausage and grape tomato in the sauce that elevated it even further, and the grits almost had a whipped texture to them. The garlic mashed potatoes were the best I’ve ever had. They weren’t as light as I had expected, but they had an even, heavy garlic flavor throughout with a perfect amount of pepper to add that full-bodied depth to a dish. Lastly, the drink: I’ve never had anything like it. I don’t like cinnamon too much, but there was an almost powdery cinnamon sugar rim that wasn’t too strong. The drink was very tart and shocking at the first sip, but by the second, I was in love. It had a fruity and flowery taste that meshed so insanely well with the mezcal smokiness. I wish I lived closer to this restaurant so that I could keep coming back. There was also a live performer named Cyril Durant that was playing guitar and singing while we were there, and I could not believe how amazing his voice was. Lastly, the atmosphere was sublime. The temperature was cool with a breeze, and it had just gotten dark outside when we got there. We sat on the roof and just looked over the city streets with the ambient lighting from the restaurant and street lamps and couldn’t have been happier. Coming here is a memory that my husband and I will never forget.

The Public Kitchen was absolutely worth the visit! The place was packed so the food took a little while, but it was totally worth the wait. The crabcake is a must-try, perfectly cooked and delicious. The shrimp and grits were amazing, full of flavor, and the New York strip was fantastic, tender, and cooked just right. We finished the night with an espresso martini that was extremely good and the perfect ending to the meal. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great dinner in Savannah!

Are here last night with my husband. We choose this restaurant as Gluten Free allergens we’re listen on the menu. They have a good variety of gluten free options. They had gluten free fried chicken tenders on the kids menu, I cheekily asked for this as a starter; it’s rare to get this as someone who is coeliac. They were really great!!! As a main I had a burger without the bun. My husband had Bolognese, he doesn’t have allergies. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant.

I’ll start off by saying my husband and I waited only 15 mins for a table. Not bad for a Friday night. Next, our server- Jaylynn, was top notch. She had an answer for any question and offered wonderful recommendations for drinks and food, to our liking, and provided superb service. My husband truly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The best he’s had. The sausage appetizer, just wow. The Duck was tender and potatoes- delish. We will be back next time In Savannah! Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service from Victoria! I don’t usually write reviews, but I absolutely had to this time. Our waitress, Victoria, was one of the nicest and most caring people I’ve ever met. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — checking in without hovering, remembering little details, and genuinely making us feel welcome. Her kindness and positive attitude truly stood out and made our meal so much more enjoyable. If you’re lucky enough to get Victoria as your server, you’re in for an amazing experience.

Great date night spot! Dimmer lighting and candles helped add some ambiance. Our server was really bright and bubbly. She was very honest and made great recommendations. As for the food: Caesar salad -- Beware! If you're not obsessed with the taste of anchovies RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION. Each bite tastes like the sea. Very, very fishy. The steak, potatoes, and green beans was a solid choice. But I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. The apple cider cake donut wasn't bad! Buuuuut, it wasn't amazing. The dessert was really dense and lacked the softness and airiness I look for in a donut. And for the crowd pleaser: the shrimp and grits! Let me start off by saying, I HATE grits. Never ordered it. Never wanted it. Never THOUGHT about it. But these? May they haunt me for all eternity. They are VERY deserving of the best shrimp & grits in Savannah 8 years in a row. I'd have 3 bowls of that, breakfast lunch and dinner for months and be perfectly content . Hard to have anything but a great experience with those shrimp and grits in the mix!

Outstanding restaurant!!! The service was wonderful! Our servers were very kind, friendly and attentive. The ambiance was relaxed. And the food was sheer perfection! I had the Castaway cocktail. Yummy times five!! Our servers spoke highly of the shrimp and grits dish and mentioned that it won an award. Well I see why it did!!! I ate it slowly because I didn't want it to end. Lol If you visit Savannah, eat here and thank me later.

I visited Savannah in July with my parents and absolutely fell in LOVE with the city! After a long day of exploring, my mom and I were ravished and couldn't figure out what--or where--to eat. We scrolled through Yelp and made a spontaneous choice to try The Public Kitchen & Bar... and let me tell you, this spot did NOT disappoint! Our waitress (tall, brunette, and super friendly--wish I remembered her name!) was incredibly patient and helpful in walking us through the menu. My mom ordered the tofu red curry and added salmon--a unique combo that turned out amazing. I went with the seared salmon, and just typing this makes me crave it all over again! We sipped on ice-cold sweet tea that hit the spot perfectly after the heat and walking. The vibe of the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming. While glancing around, I noticed they had a coffee shop next door, so of course I had to check it out. We grabbed a cinnamon roll for my dad, and here's where we made our ONLY mistake: we only bought one. Fast forward to our early morning drive to West Virginia--my dad unwrapped that cinnamon roll at our breakfast stop and savored every bite, hating to finish it! Bottom line: The Public is worth the visit, hands down. And while you're there--do yourself a favor and get at least TWO cinnamon rolls!

Ok, it lived up to the hype! Yes, there are no reservations. Yes, it was busy and can take a long time to get a table. No, Artillery is not an easy place to kill time (they're a mess). Just go to the DeSoto and have a drink there instead. Once your table is ready you'll have a great meal that's reasonably priced. We shared apps and entrees and thought everything was good to great. They're known for their Shrimp and Grits. They were good but I wouldn't order again. Just my 2 cents.

I've dined here before and expected to see a rotating seasonal menu, which we did on this occasion. Our server was sweet and attentive, giving us the full "schpeel" on soup, catch of the day, etc. The restaurant seating in the lower room is nice, intimate with tables not too close and dim lighting. Both my sister and I ordered the catch of the day, Swordfish. The plates came and were very bland looking. The bacon-leek sauce was a bit too salty and the fennel bulb wasn't even green. If you eat first with your eyes, this dish would have failed miserably. As for taste, the swordfish itself was good, but would have been better accompanied by a citrus burblanc type sauce, with more colorful vegetables and at the very least a sprinkle of green parsley. In my opinion, for what it's worth.

Dined at The Public Kitchen & Bar in Savannah and loved it. The menu was new so I was excited to try out a few new additions. The salmon bruschetta starter was fresh and on some deliciously toasted bread. The New York strip was cooked to temp and had great flavor. My wife got the bolognaise and she thought it was good but a little fennel heavService was attentive and friendly, and the location on Liberty Street is ideal, with great outdoor seating. A fantastic spot for elevated casual dining. Will return.

This was our last stop in Savannah on our way out and I'm so glad it was! Matt got their soup special which was really good and I got the Caesar salad which was pretty good. The star of the show was of course - the shrimp and grits. Those were unreal. So tasty. A little bit of heat but not too much! Made with chorizo sausage which I usually don't even like - it was amazing. The sauce was so flavorful. Like wow. I'm stunned. I'm coming back here for this dish!! Other restaurants take notes!!! We did get stuck in the rain sitting on the patio, the downpour came on very quick and Matt got pretty soaked but they gave us a new soup since his was full of rain water which was very nice.

The Public Kitchen what a few steps down from where I was visiting in Savannah so I stopped in for dinner on my last day. I came early afternoon and decided to sit outside. I highly recommending sitting on the terrace to look out over the street. I ordered the shrimp and grits and a glass of wine. The shrimp & grits were so good, some of the best I've ever had. I there's a choice, choose the shrimp & grits; no regrets.

Had a wonderfully tasty lunch at The Public. Started with hummus and veggies - large plate of fresh cut veggies and a good sized portion of homemade hummus - delicious. For mains we had the smoked Gouda burger (which may now well be my favorite burger on the planet) and the red curry vegetables (a little spicy but great taste). Service by Joseph was top notch.

Cute little neighbor restaurant. Love the aesthetic. The menu you had multiple good options. Our waitress was great. She helped us decide on drinks and food options by giving her recommend recommendations and what items were the most popular. I chose the paella and it was delicious. The star of the show was the Keylime pie though. Should've ordered two.

Amazing food and service! On such a beautiful Savannah evening, we were so fortunate to get a table on the upstairs balcony. It's such a lovely vibe with white lights in the trees and a nice view of the block. Our server Lilly, was so lovely and attentive. The food was AMAZING! Everyone loved their selections. Shrimp & grits is a must try when in Savannah! The Public makes a delicious presentation. We were not particularly hungry, more of late evening snack. Roasted garlic & bread appetizer is unique & delicious! We had a berry Salad & ceasar salad and shared some shrimp & grits. Always room for dessert, cant remember what it was..but it was delicious. Dining outside was so lovely. Cannot wait to come back when we are hungry and experience a full meal

Public is a solid choice for a casual but nice dinner. Has a good modern vibe and decent (not extensive) menu selection. We were looking for a nice spot for dinner after a show at the Savannah Theatre. This place is only a couple of blocks away. Chicken Satay for starter was excellent. 2 skewers of tasty curried chicken with tabbouleh. For entree, I had the Savory Brined Grilled Pork with polenta. It was huge and delicious. Cooked perfectly. My dinner date had the Salmon which was also cooked well. Reminder- The Public does not take reservations so plan for a bit of a wait. But it's worth it. Overall a solid choice.

From top to bottom, this was one of the best dining experiences I've had. Jaylynn, my server was probably the kindest and most attentive server that I've ever had. Between walking me through the menu, offering great recommendations and checking up on me an appropriate amount of times, they were absolutely amazing. The shrimp and grits are worth the hype. I'm not the biggest fan of shrimp, but this dish is absolutely amazing. It's a perfect combination of chorizo, grits, and shrimp. Paired with the sourdough bread this dish is hard to pass up if you are here. The soup of the day was a chicken and vegetable soup and tasted fantastic as well. The restaurant is well appointed, super clean, has a great waitstaff, and amazing food. This is one of the restaurants that you won't have ANY FOMO after visiting.

I had the Savory Brined Grilled pork here, which came with smoked gouda creamed polenta and southern succotash. I also had "The Sting" cocktail. I did like my pork chop, and it was a generous size, but I could probably make the same thing at home for way less than the $28 price of this entree. Additionally, the polenta did not taste cheesy, and I was personally not a fan of the southern succotash. The rest of my family all got either the Smoked Gouda burger, or the Public Burger, and they all seemed to enjoy their food! I did enjoy my cocktail, which was $16 dollars! The service here was amazing, the lady was very nice and informative, I wish I remembered her name! She was very charming. The restaurant is also very nice, I really liked the white brick walls. The inside is a little bit below ground, so you can see the people eating outside above you which is different! There is outside seating as well.

Stopped in while spending a few hours in Savannah while driving from North Carolina to Florida. We picked this restaurant on a whim and we 100% lucked out. We waited out front until they opened which we soon realized was a smashing move because the restaurant filled up quickly. The service was amazing and the food and drink's phenomenal. I really wanted somewhere cozy on a cold winters evening, and their below ground (basement?) seating was perfect. I ordered the Stolen Gold cocktail and made my partner immediately find the ingredients online to try to replicate back home. It's one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time, and this is after my friends and I just did a holiday bar hop. For food, I started with the chorizo mussels. If I could drink the sauce it came in, I would. For my entree I ordered the lamb shank. It was very good, though I feel a teensy bit overcooked. It came with collard greens which I was highly impressed by, and mashed potatoes. I would normally never think to go off about collards, but these were better than my grandmothers (may she rest in peace). The real star of the meal wasn't even my entree, it was what I was able to steal off my partners plate (sorry not sorry!). He had the shrimp and grits which was incredibly bright and flavorful in flavor. I do not say this lightly, these were the best shrimp and grits I've ever had in my life and I'm a Southerner, so this is a big deal. Do not sleep on these grits! Overall, HIGHLY recommend. They have a bar attached that we hope to visit next time we're in town and there is the ABSOLUTE CUTEST coffee shop attached that again probably had one of the best coffees I've ever had. If you eat at the restaurant, make sure you stop for coffee after.

It's good, very rich in flavor. I had the pleasure of having Ivy as my server, she was very nice and attentive, had a nice view at my outside table, overall great experience.

This is an amazing place. The NY strip is my favorite dish, although I've tried everything and haven't had a bad meal. They don't take reservations online or by phone, so be prepared to wait if they're busy. There are some places nearby to grab a drink at while waiting and its definitely worth the wait. They have a rotating seasonal menu that changes every season, so food and drink compliment the season.

Service was excellent and the location while a little bit away from the main area was an easy walk and had a nice vibe. The food was good but a few things were not good at all. I started with a cup of French Onion soup and it was the worst I've ever tried. It tasted like a bowl of hot Worcestershire sauce- with no cheese- zero. And too much salt. The burger was good but not cooked to order. Medium was still mooing. Best dish at our table was the Carbonara. The drinks were delicious and saved the rating overall

Great service & large portions, but some dishes were not to our taste & were not proportioned well. The Brussel sprouts were made with sausage. The sausage itself was tasty but we found it an odd pairing with an overall taste which we didn't appreciate. The sprouts were soggy, not crispy. The chicken curry was good but in our opinion, there was a tiny amount of rice compared to the rest of the dish. The sausage with pasta was the best dish of the visit, with a tasty sauce and crisp red pepper strips -- though not enough peppers to match the rest of the dish. These issues could have brought this to a 3-star review but we recognize that some of our issues are subjective & may not be problems for others.

Walked into this appealing bar in a great location and decided to have dinner. I ordered the paella with the recommended wine pairing. They didn't have the wine but the server was great and recommended another which was tasty. The paella was flavorful because of the chorizo, but 3 shrimp and 4 small mussels for $28? I felt a bit ripped off. I would consider trying it again. There were other items that I saw that seemed a good value. Just not the paella sadly.

Busy Friday afternoon and a late lunch stop. Waitstaff was extremely potile and Ashley, our waitress, answered a few questions we had about the menu. No gluten free buns yet the turkey burger was served on a generous bed of lettuce fit for consumption - crispy and fresh. The wine pairing was yummy also. Very pleased with our meal!

Delicious! Our dinner at The Public Kitchen was fantastic! Sheek vibe, almost like dining on a ship in the second room. Only complaint would be that it was a bit too loud and tables too small. Nevertheless the food was exquisite. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were absolutely delectable--crispy, flavorful, and a definite highlight. We followed up with the wedge salad, and each of us tried a different dressing--mine with blue cheese and my partner's with a pomegranate vinaigrette. Both were fresh and bursting with flavor! For our main, we shared the steak, medium rare. It was a bit dry for me and I would have preferred rare but my partner loved it, and it was well-seasoned and well portioned. The broccolini was great and scalloped potatoes good...I'd personally skip the crust next time. Overall, an amazing meal with memorable flavors.

Lexie at the public is so knowable and amazing! She recommended the best cocktails! The best bolognese pasta! And told us about all the fancy cocktails she was making! We will be back to see her specifically!!

I will definitely be back. I come back to Savannah. Service was great, drinks were great, dinner was great. Only thing I won't recommend is the price. It was reasonable for the area & style of meal but not worth it at all

Nice spot, aesthetically. The bartenders were great, the drink was great, but the food was just okay. My server was low on energy and not very friendly. I don't agree with the great reviews overall.

I was in town for work and Public was about a 10 min walk from my hotel. I got there around 530P on a Monday. There was a short wait for the dining room but the bar was wide open so I grabbed a seat. The bartender said the Curry and the Primavera were her favorites. She also mentioned that the shrimp & grits have won local awards every year for the last decade or so I went with the shrimp and grits. She recommended I get a few piece of baguette to mop up the sauce at the end. The shrimp and grits were very good. The sauce had good flavor, the grits were creamy, there were a good number of shrimp. I could order it again if I went back but I'd probably try something new. I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast around 630A so I was pretty hungry. The shrimp and grits wasn't a small portion but I was still a little hungry. I ordered a bowl of chicken soup for dessert. I think the bartender said Chicken soup. I assumed chicken noodle but it's a chicken and vegetable soup. It's shredded chicken in a clear broth that has tomatoes, carrots and what I think was kale. I like that it wasn't super salty. To me a salty soup is a soup without flavor so they add salt to make up for it.

Ambience was nice. The decor and layout makes for a wonderful date night. The food was decent, but I do not feel the quality of our entrees were worth what we paid for them. My paella had underwhelming flavor and was topped with three pieces of shrimp that featured none to minimal seasoning. The mussels were overcooked and dry. My wives' salmon was cooked well. The service was great, but the price didn't line up with the product that we were served. It was my first time at this restaurant and sadly, I was more disappointed than pleased. My wife had been here before and admitted this time did not match up to her previous experiences. I am willing to try the Public again, but I will stay on the simpler side of the menu and will have something along the lines of a burger or salad.

Another gem in Savannah. Stopped here for dinner and drinks and zero regrets. Our server was awesome. The drinks came out and nobody wanted to share because each was so good. Our food came out and it was true southern cooking. shrimp and grits are now my favorite food because of this place. The place was fun and clean. I will be back for sure

Lunch with hubby. Lilly our server was very pleasant and shared she was also from NC and how sad she was to hear about the devastation. She was helpful and attentive. We had drinks beee for hubby mimosa for me. I chose the chicken salad pita and hubby had the Cuban. Both were delicious. Busy place but we highly recommend!!

While nursing a hangover from the sins of last night, my friend and i found ourselves walking through the streets of Savannah on a Saturday morning. We honestly were headed to another restaurant, when we stopped to check the gps. I suggested we just go inside Public Kitchen to sort our lives out and I'm very glad we did. Inside is kinda retro modern vibes. Best way i can describe that. The two bartenders were dope. They made great suggestions and had some cool recommendations, for other bars and areas around town to check out. For the food, i got the chicken bacon ranch, and i was not expecting it to be at the level it was. And i say that because usually when i think of a chicken bacon ranch sandwich i was expecting some kind of basic fried chicken with bacon and an ungodly amount of ranch. What i got here was a thick piece of seasoned and what i assumed was grilled * and still juicy* piece of chicken placed between fluffy buns paired with melted cheese and thick cut bacon. Long story short the sandwich was amazing . My friend went for the Caesar Salad and asparagus soup. And I was a little nervous the asparagus soup wasn't going to be all that good, but it was pretty tasty. If i had to guess i think they put the asparagus on the grill to pick up some of those flavors and blend it down to a very creamy consistency. It was more of a bisque in my opinion, and i really would have like to see it paired with a steak. But maybe next time.

Great lunch. Great service. The old fashion was amazing! The large ice cube and dark cherry is important! Such a cute spot.

Went here for a belated bday dinner with friends. Ambience was so nice, very friendly atmosphere with great lighting. They do not take reservations, so we put our name down for a 45 min wait and went next door to their sister bar, Artillery for a drink while we waited. We were texted about 10-15 min after which was nice! Honestly, the food was very mid. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great. And for this type of restaurant with its price range, I'm expecting something more from these items. The burrata was very disappointing, honestly just very cold and wet and did not pair well with the toast. A friend and I both got the salmon, which was great with the spicy sauce on top, but half the salmon was very very fishy for both of us. My partner got the mussels and pork tenderloin, both cooked perfectly, but was just alright, nothing to write home about. I will say they are known for their shrimp and grits, which was the winner of the night at our table. Pretty much all these stars go to our AMAZING server Jaylynn. We were a pretty rambunctious group, and she matched our energy all night long. And was very attentive even with how busy the restaurant got. She had great explanations and suggestions, and made sure everything flowed well with our larger group. The icing on top is the free birthday dessert I got, which was honestly so sweet with the handwritten note.

Located in Savannah's historic district, our party of 4 stopped to eat after a long stroll. Even though the restaurant was full, we were seated within less than 10 minutes outside as requested. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the food was good and the ambiance was pleasant.

We loved the food here and the bartender was entertaining and good. 2 of us got grilled shrimp /kale salads and they were so good. 1 got shrimp and grits and she said her favorite meal on the trip. J was our bartender.

Sever was friendle and attentive. Food was delicious. The place itself was comforting and cozy. There is also outside dining.

Great spot for a late lunch after walking around much of the morning. We had our pup with us and sat outside - it's a spacious sidewalk so we had plenty of space to not feel crowded with people walking by. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was fast. We got a burger and a pulled pork sandwich which were both solid. Would definitely visit again when we're back in Savannah!

Our server, Jaylen was absolutely, positively amazing! Knowledgeable about the area and awesome things to do, super friendly. The issue with our visit was the food. I'm pescatarian and there are really no options without sausage or bacon. The shrimp and grits were listed as award winning and they were awful, possibly because the polenta substitute was not available any the rice and mash potato options were not cooked to be tasty. They also put peas in the dish, despite the server asking for those to be held. The burgers looked great but for my dietary needs and my first Savannah meal was an unfortunate no go.

Long wait for dinner on a Sunday but worth it with thoughtfully crafted cocktails, a unique and delicious carrot coconut soup, and a wonderfully cheesy shrimp and grits.

Fantastic spot for dinner. Cute and cozy with candles and a chill vibe. No wait for a table which was great for a Friday night. Staff was attentive and kind and took care of us. The food was good -- not the best of my trip to Savannah but very close behind the best of the best. Perfect spot for a casual dinner with a group of friends. I would come back.

Delicious Southern flavors with a great vibe! The shrimp and grits were incredibly tasty--perfectly seasoned and comforting. We tried the key lime pie for the first time; it was a bit more tart than expected, but still really delicious. The restaurant had a great vibe for dinner, with a relaxed atmosphere and fast, friendly service. Definitely worth a visit!

Stopped in for a brunch time drink and sat at the bar. We were immediately met and provided with some water. We ordered a Bloody Mary on the spicy side and had a cup of the pasta salad. The salad was surprisingly very fresh. Not that I expected anything less, but this one had fresh tomatoes and was really what I would call "restaurant" style. The Bloody Mary's were made perfectly and had just the right amount of spice. The bartender was great and took care of everyone. We had a short visit but a good visit. We visit Savannah often and will return. They do have outdoor seating as well.

It seems likely we had an atypically mediocre experience, and I can see how this place had a lot of the components that would lend this to being a 4 or 5 star place, but I have to base Mt review on my actual experience. First, we asked to be seated outside and ended up at the table the furthest back to the side of the building, basically I could reach my arm around the corner of the back if I wanted to. What this meant is that service staff were constantly leaving out the side door and walking past our table to deliver food up the stairs in the back of the building. Also, even though outside was bustling with many tables, it looks like the restaurant only assigned one server to the entire outside area. He had way too many tables and this made it impossible for him to be appropriately attentive. This meant my fiance's iced tea was never refilled and we waited a good 15 minutes after we were done for our bill, to a point where my fiance had to stand up to get attention. It didn't help that our server had been standing and chitchatting with another table for what seemed like 10 minutes. The food itself was good, but the portions were small for this price point. Particularly small was the portion of tuna on my tuna steak sandwich.m, which was topped with a small rectangle of pineapple. I have had tuna steak sandwiches before where the slab of tuna was around the same size as a burger. THIS doll-sized portion of tuna sat like a little island in the middle of my bun. I wasn't sure how to even eat this like a sandwich so I cut it up and scattered the pieces around my bun. Safe to say, I ate this "sandwich" AND my mashed potatoes, also a small portion, AND my fiance's leftover corn salad, and was still hungry after because this meal had very little protein relative to the processed carbs (great for me as someone trying to manage my A1C). That said, my fiance couldn't finish his pulled pork sandwich, which looked much more ample, so value here is clearly hit or miss. I should also mention that I ended up with the tuna steak sandwich because the menu had so few fish items that didn't come with meat. There were definitely vegetarian options available, but I am pescatarian and would like to be able to get a shrimp or fish dish that doesn't contain pork products. This eliminated most of the fish dishes on the menu, which all contained bacon, sausage or some other version of pork. I expected to not be able to extract the pork items from the shrimp and grits, but was especially bummed to learn that the bacon could not be removed from what I really wanted, the shrimp roll, because it was mixed in with the shrimp salad rather than just being laid on top like a topping. Even the pasta with clams had pork in it. Double traif.

Went to Savannah GA to see family and we met up at The Public Kitchen. I wasn't sure what to expect not being a Savannah local or having read any reviews on this establishment. Here is what I can tell you. The food was on point, I ordered the New York Strip with Potatoes Augratin and my sister and her husband ordered the Salmon and Rice. The boys got Chicken fingers. My Steak was cooked a perfect medium, and had a wonderful sear. Over delicious and expertly cooked potatoes Augratin. The Salmon even though not my thing looked delicious. All the food tasted fresh and just made. The ambience was delightful, and cozy. Thus was definitely a high end dining experience and the server and staff were on point. Delicious food, wonderful experience, and money well spent! Thank you for the opportunity to dine at your wonderful establishment. I hope this New Year brings you Great Success!

Don't miss while in Savannah. Ricotta Gnoche and shrimp/grits. 5 star all the way. Sat at bar and service was fine.

This was an excellent choice. Cozy with cool ambiance. You could be dressed up or in shorts. So glad we found this place! We had the shrimp and grits. Best I've ever had! One of us is a vegetarian so they altered one of the pasta dishes. Server was so friendly. We went on a Wednesday night and it was packed. I can see why. Outdoor seating is available, too.

1st time here. Enjoyed this place. Occupancy is 36 inside. And I really like that they've personalized glass bottles to serve customers water from. We ordered the burger and turkey melt on sour dough. I added egg and bacon. They sit on the corner and have out door sitting around the building. Perfect to catch some rays, cool breeze and watch the passer bys, see the architecture, and enjoy nature. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. We shall be visiting again. Solid meal at the public kitchen. Started out with some Parmesan truffle fries, very tasty, followed by the pork chop, which was executed perfectly. Had the pecan pie for dessert. It was quite lame-o and tasted store-bought. Hard pass on this dessert. It was very packed on the Tuesday night. I was here, but food and service flowed well.
