Where to Find Fresh-Fried Apple Cider Doughnuts in Oregon

"In the fall, the bridge to Sauvie Island can get clogged with Portlanders heading to this sprawling pumpkin patch, home to a corn maze, hay rides, and a produce market. The Pumpkin Patch’s various cafes and food stands sell apple cider doughnuts doused in butter and cinnamon sugar, best enjoyed alongside a Pronto Pup and a cold cider or beer." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

I had an amazing time on the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Picking Trip! The visit to Sauvie Island was the perfect way to enjoy some fun fall activities. Picking pumpkins was a blast, and the hayride added to the charm of the experience. The corn maze was a highlight, and the $2 ticket was well worth it. Highly recommend this trip for a great autumn day! And do not forget the spiced beer. I think it was wheat ale, brewed with pumpkins and a blend of fall spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. The result is a refreshingly smooth beer that perfectly embodies the flavors of autumn. Chefs kiss!

Perfect stop for a fall day! The market has fresh produce picked right off the farm and it's HUGE! Had a great time walking through the Charlie Brown "Peanuts" themed corn maze. It wasn't as overwhelming as I thought it would be and has themed cards with questions to help navigate. You can also take a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch for $2 or stroll in the barn to check out the farm animals. I got there around 10:30 am so it wasn't super packed, but started filling up as I was leaving at noon. All in all I had a great time visiting.

Great place to have lunch. Beautiful farm setting with a view of Mt. Hood. The food is good and not expensive. They usually have a seasonal offering. Right now is a strawberry shortcake. It was so good that it got eaten before I could get a Pic. 😆 It's definitely worth the drive.

Sauvie Island Corn Maze is an absolute blast for everyone, regardless of age! Not widely known, but they have these private areas tucked away in the corn maze that are perfect for hosting private parties. Each space comes complete with tents, picnic tables, fire pits, chairs, and benches, making it a fantastic venue for gatherings. My friends and I make it a tradition to come here every year for a private event. We cherish the time spent making s'mores by the fire and navigating the maze at our own pace. In addition to the maze, the pumpkin patch at Sauvie Island offers a delightful array of food, fresh produce, and the opportunity to interact with animals. Don't miss the chance to pick your own fresh flowers—it adds a lovely touch to your visit. All in all, it's the perfect destination for spending a wonderful fall day with family and friends.

Had a great time with my family at the farm, not a lot of people on a Sunday afternoon. They had u-pick flowers, corn maze is now open. Fruits and vegetables from the market were very fresh and reasonable prices. My kids had fun feeding the animals too. Will be back again to try some food from the cafe, and have a picnic.

Google
Great produce that is hard to find elsewhere. Prices are also reasonable. I was pleased to find the fruit wines I used to make myself years ago! I look forward to trying them. The cucumbers and tomatoes have great flavor. Peaches smell as beautiful as sweet perfume, and are packed with flavor and juice. I will definitely visit again.

Yelp
The Pumpkin Patch is a must-do in the fall season. They have a little petting zoo, so many food options to choose from, a gift shop, as well as a flower field you can make bouquets from! The food was delicious, and fairly inexpensive. I remember they had some alcoholic bevarages too! The staff there were very friendly. They were also informational, if we had any questions. I really like that they had a hayride as well to get us from the festivities, to the pumpkin patch to choose our own pumpkins! This is a wonderful place to go with friends, family, or your partner. I saw lots of kids having fun, they also had a ride for the kids to enjoy! 10/10 recommended

Yelp
We went on quite possible the busiest Saturday for finding a pumpkin. Lines. Lines for everything, to see the animals, for a snack, for a drink. Probably some efficiency opportunity for someone that just wanted a drink. The cider line was also the food line. Great pumpkin selection, the market for veggies was reasonably priced. I left with a giant eggplant and red cabbage paying less than $5. It was crowded as expected and I'd go again next year.

Yelp
Probably one of the best pumpkin patches in Portland. My wife and I come almost every year with friends or family. If you plan on going on a weekend/holiday and the weather is nice plan on allotting plenty of time in traffic as well as in line for food and attractions. Parking can be a challenge but they have 2 separate lots which can help. There is already a decent amount to do with the free entrance. Their farmer's market has a wide selection from honey, pies, fresh Brussel sprouts, and more. There's a small enclosure for farm animals, the corn maze, barrel rides for kids, and a hay bale mountain. The food is also surprisingly good? I had always been skeptical and the lines have always been too long. But for the first time my wife and I waited in line to try their burger and I was pleasantly surprised. The size of the burger is already impressive enough; but the flavors matched the portion sizes.

Yelp
Consistent with their products, we frequent this farm the most. We absolutely love their variety of sweet corn and grabbed 9 corn in husk to enjoy this weekend. Snagged a huge head of cauliflower and an eggplant for my son who doesn't eat meat. We brought home their Pumpkin Pie cream ale and some peaches. It always such a lovely visit to our favorite farm and the drive is so beautiful as well. Can't wait for the fall so we can enjoy their corn maze as well as all the fun Fall festivities and goodies they sell at that time of year!

Yelp
super cute farm to visit. they have animals to see and berries to pick. it's a cool little place i recommend seeing. they also have a cool market with homemade foods like salsa and jams. i got a salsa and it was delish.

Yelp
We stopped by to pick up some Sauvie Island Coffee from the adorable market. Got that and absolutely HUGE blueberries! U-pick or buy by the pint or quart in mid-July. Look at the size of these! And they are as sweet as they are plump and juicy! Yum! I'll update my review my next visit with more details, since I couldn't enjoy most of the farm, as I'm currently on crutches. Bummer!

Yelp
This Patch is still one of my favorites in the Portland metro area. Although it's a little out of the way and takes a bit of driving to get to Sauvie Island, value wise, this pumpkin patch definitely delivers. Where most patches nowadays will charge fees for almost anything and everything (from entrance fees to hayrides to everything in between), this Patch is still free admission with a super long tractor/hay ride out to the pumpkins. This year's hay ride was particularly amusing as we were essentially slogging through mud the whole time and the recent rain resulted in a super bumpy and slimy ride. Anyways, there were also quite a variety of pumpkins to choose from and of course afterwards we had to get some Apple Cider and Apple Cider donuts. The Apple Cider Float was actually a surprising hit - the ice cream melts super quickly in the hot Apple Cider, but it results in a super delicious vanilla cream flavor. The donuts were hot and sugary - a perfect afternoon pick me up. Can't wait to be back again next fall!

Yelp
My favorite Pumpkin Patch in the Portland area! The Pumpkin Patch has it all: a pumpkin patch, hay rides, and a corn maze aptly called, The Maize. For free, you can take a decently long hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and spend a while looking for the perfect pumpkin in their big patch. Unfortunately, I've never yet been to their corn maze, but it's BIG! My favorite part of any visit to the pumpkin patch is definitely the food, specifically, warm apple cider and apple cider donuts. You can order piping hot apple cider donuts near the front entry (the line is usually pretty long but moves pretty fast). This time, I also ordered an apple cider float -- hot apple cider with ice cream. It was so delicious and definitely hit the spot on a warm fall day. If you've never been to a proper pumpkin patch during the chilly days of fall, you're in for a real treat! Make sure to pack up the friends and family for a must- try Portland experience!

Yelp
My friend and I are here and it looks cute (so they get a star for atmosphere) but we've been waiting for a corn on the cob for almost half an hour. Yes, a corn on the cob. It's utterly ridiculous. As I haven't gotten my very complex order of a corn on the cob I am unable to see what else there is to do here. ----------- We were at the 35 minute mark of the great corn on the cob odyssey and admitted defeat. We got our money back and left. Also we noticed several workers just standing around. The amount of inefficiency is astounding. Will not be back.

Yelp
So much fun! This patch has lots of food options, farm animals, a coffee stand, a cider/beer stand, a market, a gift shop, tractors to get to the patch, and a really, really fun corn maze. My friends and I spent a good part of the day here. We appreciated that the corn maze had fun scavenger clues to navigate it. Will have to say that the cider donuts were average at best though; they were really sugary and didn't have too much cider flavor. But given the chance to spend half a day here next year again, I totally would!

Yelp
Visited The Pumpkin Patch for Labor Day this year, and went last year closer to Halloween. It makes for a quick, fun fall activity! Pumpkins options: I got $1 mini-pumpkins and gourds for decorating the house. They had some huge ones for $8! If I remember last year correctly, their full-size pumpkin patch was mildly disappointing, with the pumpkins strewn about a muddy field, not where they were grown, and without much decor - but maybe I visited at the wrong time. Other fall-themed entertainment options: I've never tried the corn maze as it seems a little expensive for an adult. They also have a hay ride I have not done. Their animal barn is cute (though I wish we as a society could stop using animals as attractions). Food+drink options: I got their canned hard cider which was 5.8% ABV but you couldn't tell the different from apple juice. The fried goods are always popular - elephant ears chief among them - as well as their caramel apples. Last but not least... Plenty of cute photo opportunities to be had here!

Yelp
Best pumpkin patch ever! We went through the corn maze which took about 45 min and you have the option to stop halfway or continue to do the whole thing (the last half is a little bit harder). There are beautiful sunflowers at the beginning and a nice smooth walking path. There is also a free hayride into the pumpkin patch. The line was very long but it moved fast (maybe 10min) and it was a fun experience. There were giant fields on pumpkins and some prepicked ones in the market as well if you don't want to go to the trouble of picking one. Lots of fresh produce for sale too and canned goods like pickles and jams. There was lots of fair food like elephant ears, corn on the cob and even pumpkin spice lattes! There is so much to do here at the pumpkin patch and it's such a fun way to celebrate fall!

Yelp
I've been by this place a gazillion times as I shoot the displays at the Bailey Nursery close by twice a year and have been doing so forever. The Pumpkin Patch is always mobbed in season and I'm guessing it's wall-to-wall kids. I was engaged to shoot a charity car show and pinup contest held at the Pumpkin Patch and was impressed at how nice the folks there are. They have all the amenities... gift shop, potted flowering plants.. all sorts of stuff. And pretty decent coffee which is all I care about. Stopped in to say hello to the critters who were eager to see me until they realized I brought them no treats. Great barn for kids to learn about wildlife and see them close up. There was a lot of that when I was a kid and many wound up with polio so I'm glad that kids are still getting jabbed to protect against that. Eloise, the queen of the world (tm) demands her annual harvest pumpkin (and a duckie) starting around this time of year. And it can't be just a pumpkin. It has to be the biggest, best, most orange pumpkin in the whole wide world. Daughters, huh? So I'm informed that the Pumpkin Patch is now on her Daddy-do list of places to shop for her treasured gourd. Nothing much not to like here. Guess I'll be back.

Yelp
We typically really like this pumpkin patch. We checked the hours today before heading out. Posted hours on-site and online indicated they are open until 6pm on Sundays. We arrived a few minutes after 5:00 p.m., and the only thing left open was the coffee stand and their food stand. There were tons of people using the flower field, which also has a sign posted saying it's open until 5:45 p.m. Everyone was cutting their flowers and then heading over to the market and gift shop to pay for them, as the sign directs, and there is no one to pay. People either left flowers behind to wilt and die, or just took them, because what else were they supposed to do at that point. The Patio Cafe is cute, but just okay. The burger comes smothered in thousand island dressing, but nothing on the menu tells you that. So if you don't like thousand island dressing, it's a waste of money once your burger comes. The Apple cider this year doesn't taste the same as last year - definitely not as good. It was also served so hot that 45 minutes later I'm still waiting for it to cool down enough to drink it. We've been coming here for years and have great memories here. However, it's disappointing to spend the time and gas driving out here when their website and on-site hours say they are open until 6pm, but then upon arrival you've closed an hour early. There were a lot of people on site when we arrived too. It wasn't dead. And the people we asked about it acted like we are the ones who can't read signs. It's super frustrating. Really hoping it was just an off day and not an indication of how another Portland business is changing, and not for the better.

Yelp
If I could give the tipping point of a star for just existing, I would. Was there for a field trip, and let me use that word loosely as the owner and owner jr. both said 10 times in our spat, that they don't do field trips. So anywhoo, a couple moms and I and our littles were there in support and somewhat of chaperoning as this was only our second time with our tiniest children on a field trip. One of us had a fall on the very muddy and not taken care of patch. So we decided to separate from the group and go home and clean ourselves and the kids. On our way out we stopped by the market to pick up our pumpkins that our event leader told us we could do on or way out. I asked a girl inside the market to clarify what she told the other mom about all of us having to pay for our pumpkins as they weren't pre purchased. As she said this she displayed an attitude. She preceded to say that they don't do field trips or free hay rides so she doesn't know where I got my information from. So I asked why I was given an attitude when I just simply asked for clarification. To which she laughed, like a little girl, and walked off. We get out of there and have purchased two deco pumpkins and go to our car to talk about what just happened. Here comes owner jr. With her mommy, the owner. She's apparently shaking as she has her phone recording us and our kids on the tailgate of our car. Asking us why I cursed at her daughter. I relayed the conversation back to her and she agreed that her daughter was right and they don't offer those services to which I replied, I didn't ask about the hay rides or field trips. I just asked why I was given attitude when I asked her to clarify what she said to the other mom. Simple as that. She then laughed in unison with her daughter and said for all of us to get off of her property and we were trespassing and would be arrested. In front of our kids. Needless to say we won't ever go there. It's the most unorganized, unkept and non diverse pumpkin patch I've ever been to. Racially profiling three moms with their kids in tow. Way to go Kari and Jade. The faces of the pumpkin patch. I have contacted the news so maybe the Botox will do you justice jade, and give you your 15 minutes of fame.

Yelp
Please do yourself a favor and get some scales for your pumpkins. You have employees eye balling and guessing weights. I overpaid today by more than $20, I can tell you that. Pumpkins were no more then 10-12 pounds each and we were told on check out that we had to pay $40 (we had 3). 0-15 lbs is supposed to be $5. We also brought 2 pumpkins into the general shopping area from the patch (where you pick your own) and were accused of not paying. They stop you when you get off the hayride and make you pay. Just shady business. Yeah you have free admission, who cares? You get over on people when it comes to pumpkins big time. GET SCALES!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
My FAVORITE farm New hours not posted here! Open 10:00 -6:00 but closes later on Friday and Sat

Yelp
it's been a minute since we've been here or any patch on the island... We have been spoiled by the larger equivalent about an hour south I shall not speak its name, but it's more of a festival than just a farm. That is the only reason I choose not to give this a five star... we came here with our church and scored one of the fire pits with about 150 people turning out... We decided to run the maze as it was getting dark so that we would finish when it was pitch black which is how I always like to do corn mazes. we had a blast and I hate to admit it took us about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes to get to that maze. We got there about six so most of the other buildings were closed down but we definitely had an absolute blast I would definitely recommend stopping by here if you don't want to make a further drive for a fun event for just about anyone, some people got through it a lot quicker by taking the material at the front but we decided to do it the hard way and take absolutely no resources with us as we transverse through the maze. If you do stop by make sure to come love on the cows because I will say I have never met cows that acting more like dogs in my entire life. They just wanted attention and pets..

Yelp
Our visit during The Pumpkin Patch's opening day for U-Pick Strawberries felt like a nice and quiet day out on the farm. The staff here were friendly. Since it was our very first visit to the farm, they explained how the families go about the U-Pick process. My family spent the morning in strawberry fields picking fresh strawberries enjoying the vast rolling hills. We filled our basket full of bright red strawberries. -1star: I know animal life on the farm is very different than, let's say, a chicken coop at someone's home. I just felt a bit sad for the animals due to the the barn conditions. To be clear, the animals in the barn looked very happy and healthy. My constructive feedback is specifically in regards to the barn itself (e.g. the barn floors, size of the pens, etc.) In sum, the barn could use some TLC. It really was a lovely experience here. We will absolutely return for other U-Pick adventures and recommend to friends and family.

Yelp
This place has all the bells and whistles! If you are seeking that ideal Autumnal experience , this is the place. Admission and parking is free which makes this a great outing for families. Although some activities so like the Maze do have a fee. They have a large pumpkin patch, an intricate corn maze and hayrides in the Fall, but they have so much more! There is a Barn with adorable animals you can pet. A Gift Store filled with a variety of items. There is a Grill area to order hot food with patio seating. And a Coffee Kiosk - get the Mexican Mocha! The market is quite large and filled with fresh produce. Local items fill the pantry and refrigerated area: honey, wine, BBQ sauces, hazelnuts, toffee, cheese, meat, coffee, frozen fruit pies and more. In the back corner is a section with beautiful weaved farmer market baskets for just $20. Pick one up! They offer free Hayrides out to the huge, and I mean huge, pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkins. The tractor leaves every 15-20 minutes and the line is over by the Corn Maze entrance. This farm gets super crowded on weekends, especially in October, so if possible, go during the week. I was there on a Tuesday and there were lots of people but it was easy to keep a safe distance and most everyone was wearing a mask. Tip: next to the market are proper restrooms for those like me who don't do the porta-potty thing! As you cross the Sauvignon Island Bridge, make a right and The Pumpkin Patch is just down the road. A quick ride from Portland and a must visit during the Fall. Happy Pumpkin Picking! Bring your face mask, it's required.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and it has been a family favorite. It has become extremely popular so I highly recommend avoiding a visit on the weekends. If you visit Monday through Friday, it will be a nice experience without giant crowds, everything is much cleaner and smoother. On a weekday you will not have to wait an hour in line for food or restrooms. The prices are more family friendly than I've seen on other farms. They have free rides, and the a pyramid. The cow train and maze are for a fee but still reasonable.plenty of parking, friendly staff.

Melanie C.

Yelp
Long lines, not much to do or see, and not as kid friendly as I expected. Lines were 30-45 minutes for everything. This is a very small pumpkin patch but without the cute family feel. We left and went to Bella's farm next door. Not sure if they are connected but it was a way better experience and more selection.
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
I feel meh about this pumpkin patch. My friends and I arrived here right when it opened but a lot of the stalls weren't opened yet. The animal barn was just kinda sad and the U-Pick pumpkin patch was kind of a let down. They basically laid out pumpkins on an area of dirt for you to pick through. The lines for the hay rides to and from the pumpkin patch were kinda long. The stand out parts were the corn maze and the apple cider donuts. Not a complete let down but not an absolute must visit for the fall season.
google avatar

Nathan R.

Yelp
Oh My Gourd! This place was awesome. I recommend getting there early just before 10 because that's when the coffee place opens and once 10 rolls around the line starts to grow. We then went to the maze and then got in line for the hay ride. Again try to get in the hay ride line early because that thing will grow pretty long throughout the day. The market has some really amazing finds too! My girlfriend got an elephant ear and she said it was just what she needed haha whatever that means. Bathrooms are plentiful and the staff makes sure that the grounds stay clean and safe. A must visit!

Yelp
Just went (early October) with family and it was surprisingly a little crowded even for a weekday. There's a lot of parking spots but I can imagine it getting really packed and a long line on the weekends. The hay rides are free and come every 10-20 minutes, pretty frequent. We decided to walk instead, it's a nice ~10 minute walk to the pumpkin patch and there's a blueberry & strawberry field on the way as well. (No fruits left at this time though). There were a lot of pumpkins although around 5% seemed to be going rotten/bad. But plenty to pick from. You can catch a ride on the hay truck back or walk back as well. Didn't get to visit the animal barn or the market but the burger stand was AMAZING. The workers are very friendly and the umami burger & farm burger were one of the best burgers I've had. The umami was a little on the saltier side but the flavour blended so nicely. Also got some coffee floats which came w a double chocolate chip cookie.

Yelp
This is a great place to have a fun autumnal day with the family. We loved it and it was super affordable. The corn dogs were handmade and divine! The market had great homemade and the staff was friendly and helpful. My only little complaint was that we had our grandchildren with us who were all under 5 and the pumpkins in the patch were mostly too big for them to pick up.

Gary C.

Yelp
It's a great place to by produce... I bought 25 lbs. of pickling cucumbers for $39.99, washed and baged by these farmers... considering the fact that growing that many cukes would be a taunting task for a back yard garden... The values price wise could have been a little better for the size of the bag. No U-Pick here, and I'm sure they use pesticides on their produce... I called one of the other farms that allow U-pich, and it was the same price as these cukes per pound...only organic with no pesticides... Prices are more or the same as grocery store prices in most cases... the enviroment is homey and festive... I would go back and buy more except now i'm pickles to the gills!!! LOL Gcx

Yelp
This place is amazing... We enjoyed exploring the area and experienced riding on a barn truck.. It was raining at that time so it's a little bit muddy, however, I think that's the best part of it because we felt like we are on a farm side of town. Look at our best photo moments. I highly recommended this place.

Yelp
This pumpkin patch knocks Aloun Farms in Oahu down. This farm offers many pumpkins to pick from small to huge sizes in the patch. No entrance fee or parking fee which is plus for those looking for cheap activities to do during October. Also, there is a big corn maze that you try. Fees are below. Adults 13 yrs or older: $8.00. Youth 6 to 12 yrs: $6.00. Senior: $6.00. Hours are from 10 to 6 pm daily except Saturday and Sunday open till 10 pm. The pumpkin patch is celebrating 50 years of being in business so the maze's design is special. Red animal barn is open form 9 to 6pm. Great for the kids. They have a giant haystack that you can climb on, open from 9 to 6 pm. Produce market open daily 9 am to 6 pm. Friday & Saturday nights until 10 PM. They sell supersweet corn, apples, pears, beets, potatoes, pumpkins, winter squash, Indian corn, brussels sprouts, carrots, cabbage, cornstalks, hay bales, decorative Gourds, specialty pumpkins, fresh apple cider, pumpkin carving kits and much more. Restrooms are located right next to the produce market. Patio cafe opens daily from 10 am to 6 pm; Friday and Saturday until 10 pm. They sell grass-fed beef burgers, garden burgers, hotdogs, corn-on-the-cob & more. During the weekends, they sell carmel apples, elephant ears, pulled-pork sandwiches, kettle corn and corn-on-the-cob. The pumpkin patch pick is open from 9 to 6pm. You can take the haystack ride down to the patch (open from 10 am to 5:45 pm) or purchase a pumpkin from the prepicked selection. Prices listed down below for u-pick. 0 - 9 lbs = $2.00 10 - 19 lbs = $4.00 20 - 29 lbs = $6.00 30+ lbs = $8.00 If you are in the area or visiting Portland, take a drive to Sauvie island.

Yelp
This is essentially Hay World from the Office. A fee to pet animals in the petting zoo, $10 beers & ciders, $7 is the cheapest pumpkin. Have a better time, deal with smaller lines/traffic, and save some money going to a pumpkin patch east of Gresham.

Yelp
This place is awesome! First time here and we were surprised at how much is offered! It's open June-October. There's a corn maze, gift shop, coffee truck, café to order food, barn with animals to see and pet, and rather large indoor produce stand! There's also an area for u-cut flowers! The vendor barn wasn't open while we were there...doesn't open until the last week of September. There's also cute cut-outs for photo opportunities and old John Deere tractors you can check out and sit on. This year is their 50th anniversary! Would highly recommend a visit :-D

Yelp
This will be our 3rd year in a row coming here! I've been to a handful of other patches but we love this one the most due to fair prices, amazing food (their burgers are SO good) and the fact that there is no admission fee to get in. It can get very busy on weekends in October but we enjoy large crowds so it works for us.

Yelp
I definitely recommend this place. It doesn't have a circus type of energy to it. Went to the competitors last year and that was way too much chaos for me. The Pumpkin Patch has been around since 1967, you could feel the family owned energy as you interact with people working there. Their prices are fair, they have a marketplace, food, coffee, hayride, a huge pumpkin patch, animals in the barn, corn maze, lots of photo op scenery, and parking. They don't serve alcohol which is a plus if you have young ones with you, and just want a serene place to enjoy. They accept cash, credit or debit. Come out and support this wonderful locally owned business.

Yelp
Love this place. Barn with animals - check. Old tractors for kids to climb on - check. A produce and a farm store - check. U pick strawberries - check. And what amounts to a food truck with lots of options. We got a small basket of Hood strawberries - they were ok, but not as sweet as they should have been. We tried a strawberry cider (yum, though not local), and some concession-like food (cheeseburgers and brats) which was ok. I'm sure we'll be back.

Yelp
This is the biggest pumpkin patch I have ever seen. There has been a line of cars getting in as soon as it opens on weekend, and it gets worse through out the day. If you go in October on weekends, go early! The pumpkin patch is free to get in. There were a la carte activity there that charges money. I like that because I am not super interested in corn maze, or a few other staple activities. This way I can choose what I want to do. The Patio cafe is amazing. The line gets crazy and the service is not the fastest, but oh man, the burgers are amazing!!! My one regret is that I didn't get to try the freshly popped kettle corn. The line was too long. Maybe they should figure out some more efficient ordering and laying system. The selection of pumpkin is great. Paying for pumpkin takes a little bit of guess work. Instead of charging per pound like most other patches do, they have 4 prices, less than 10 lb are $3, 10-19 are $5, 20-29 are $7, over 30 is $10. But they don't really weigh it, just eyeballing and give a price. I was charged $10, but my pumpkin was only 27 lb. oh well. I would recommend it. A fun place to visit in October.

Yelp
What a well run operation. The people working were very helpful and friendly. Special call out to the gray haired guy that helped us with our pumpkins when we cam back on the hay ride, and the woman managing the line for the cow train. Watching the driver of the cow train and the joy on his face as he got the shrieks and giggles from the riders was great. If you don't have tiny tots that need to get bed early, heading out in the late afternoon on the weekends is a perfect time. We got there a little after 4:00 and had the chance to ride the rides and gather the pumpkins, pick flowers climb on the pyramid. Then some dinner and hit the maize at dark. When I think about how much it costs to grab a burger at McDonald's these days, I will say that the pumpkin patch is great value for several hours of fun. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was our first time and it was amazing! We really enjoyed getting to explore such a huge farm and take in all the amazing sights. I loved that there were so many things to do and all different levels of fun for everyone. The corn maze was so fun with all the different ways to get through. I highly recommend for anyone with children to stop and visit.

Yelp
Love the maize and many polite workers along the way. Frustrating and confusing food vendor system with rude even combative service paired with a passive aggressive smile. Each food item is sold at a separate counter with a long line, followed by a 2nd long line to pick up the food item. Multiple signs and not removing sold out food signs caused us to stand in 4 lines to buy 2 corn dogs, skipped cider since it obligates to also buy donuts and no corn 3rd year in a row (ironically at the corn maze). We won't be returning.

Yelp
This is the original pumpkin patch started in 1967! The animals, Market, hay ride, and corn maze are huge and awesome!!! Super family friendly, lots to chose from. Great prices and lots to do! Not really dog friendly since animals can't got in the store, maze or pumpkin patch do to regulations but still so fun! Can't wait to take my kids here someday!

Yelp
This was my first year attending this specific pumpkin patch. Granted it's under Covid-19. So the parking was alright. Lots of people but definitely enough spaces. As you park you'll see a section of random grocery carts... those are for you to use to carry pumpkins to your car... I would recommend wheel barrows... it looked semi ghetto. There was the area that had about 5 spots for elephant ears, kettle corn, pulled pork, hot dog sausages & one other I forget but the pulled pork and hot dog one was closed... which caused the others to have long lines- kinda disappointing due to the fact that we wanted lunch food not just junk... oh the 5th was caramel apples. There was a patio cafe which the line there was massive due to it served all the real foods: burgers, hot dogs, beer, drinks & all the other goods. We waited in that line for ages. The food was relatively decent. I recommend the turkey panini & the hot dogs are good: all beef. Drinks are pretty cheap. I think I gave this place a low rating was based on the lack of things open for a busy day! I was with a group of 10 people. 7 kids and 3 adults. Water wasn't the same price... in the Maze they charged us more for water. The pumpkins that you "pick" were really haggard. Moldy, mushy, not cute and the field was really dry... also if you have to go to the bathroom you'd better do it before because there was no outhouse out there which is odd since people are out there... hay ride is ok. There wasn't any direction so people would get on and try to take it up and not let others on- and the person operating the tractor doesn't really mention anything to say "hey let's make more room." Even with Covid-19 there was room that wasn't being utilized causing others to wait. Lines were long for a long while for pumpkin patch area, food. The outhouses in the designated spot were extremely clean- If that's a concern. Parking is free. Hay rides free. Cost is just food you'll buy or souvenirs.

Yelp
Was very excited about this place until I saw the tiny cages that they kept their animals in. They did not look very happy cooped up in a place all day long. Was pretty sad to see.

Yelp
The Original Pumpkin Patch. This is the 50th Anniversary Year and it was a blast. This was my first time at the original pumpkin patch. We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, my wife and I got off and walked around the pumpkin field looking at all the different ways a pumpkin will grow. Seeing some good size pumpkins still on the ground. We had fun walking through the giant leaves. We both really liked walking around in the fields today. It was like several dreams i've had. After several selfies, we headed back to the pick up point. Hitched a ride back and met up with our group. We talked about pumpkins and went to see the Barn Animals. There was a furry Alpaca named "Poo Bear". Some adorable Goats. Sheep. Rabbits. A Cow. A Chicken and a couple Peacocks. After all the walking. We all needed food. So many choices. I had a German Sausage on a bun with a 12 oz. soda = $5.50 (????? What? I was just at the St. Fair. That same meal was about 12 bucks. Any who.) Sausage was good. Not greasy. I came back later for a second one. We also had to hit up the farmers market. Glad we did. 8 Ears of Corn $2.00 About 2 and a half pound's of Brussel Sprouts still on the stem $2.99 They had a great variety of pumpkins and gourds. I would have shown you some very cool pumpkins called: Knucklehead Super Freak but my phone died. Look them up. Their cool! My wife and I checked out the second half of the maze. Found the Bridge with the Speaker and looked out over the farm. Such a great view. Don't forget your map. Good golly. Corn is 10 feet tall. Inside. Everything looks the same. I saw some relieved faces at the exits but it is very cool. Especially the overall design. By the road Up front of the Farm is a pick your own garden. Good selection of fresh flowers. Some tables to picnic on if you like. All super cool. After about 4 - 5 hours. We had to go but not before we scored some fresh Kettle Corn and a Carmel Apple. The car seemed so far away on our way back to where we parked but then i remembered... Free Parking. Ya. I had fun!

Yelp
Holy crow, the mac and cheese burger is delicious! The burger is cooked perfectly, the tomato slice was fresh and the Mac n cheese is cooked from scratch. I DREAM about this burger -- this is my second visit in a month and I'm already planning my next visit. So, so good. Come hungry!

Yelp
This is the best pumpkin patch I've ever been to. I went with my family on a Sunday afternoon and parking was easy to find. Once you pull up, you'll be greeted with a farmers market in a barn, a petting zoo and a corn maze! We bought apple cider in the market before heading into the corn maze. The corn maze was awesome and took us about 20ish minutes to complete the first part of the maze. It was $8/person which was pretty decent. They do provide cards with trivia questions to help you get through the maze but if you answer wrong, you may end up getting more lost. Once you finish part one, you can go in for part two at no additional charge. Overall, it was a fun maze and I definitely suggest going if you have a little time! On to the pumpkin patch, it was huge! It's a little walk down the gravel road from the parking lot. There's so many pumpkins you can choose from but the only downside is they don't provide a knife of any sort to cut the pumpkin from the roots. So we had to use one of our house keys to help cut the pumpkins from their roots. The pricing of the pumpkins was extremely cheap, it isn't by weight but rather a range (ex. 30+ lbs = $8). We got a total of 4 pumpkins all ranging of weight and it was a total of around $16. This is definitely the best pumpkin patch!

Yelp
I had such a great time at the Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday! I got there at about 9:45, went to the market, looked at the animal barn, got some cheap coffee from the patio cafe, took my client to climb on the free hay pyramid and hay maze, took a free hay bale ride to the pumpkins, chose the best pumpkin, and then went wandering through the corn maze ($8)! All together we were there for about three hours and we both had so much fun! It was nice getting there so early on a weekday because there was hardly anyone else there so the drive and parking were both a breeze. I definitely recommend the Pumpkin Patch for all ages!

Yelp
Same place we used to go to when we were kids. Took my son for the first time today. Was pretty busy but they keep everything was well managed so you don't have to wait too long for anything. Picked 4 gigantic pumpkins. Pretty happy with the day. Also, kudos on not making people pay to get in, way better for the average family with children.

Yelp
We've been to a few of the pumpkin patches on Sauvie's and this one is by far the best!!! It's organized, has plenty of parking and amenities. The maize was amaizeing ;) my only complaint would be that dogs are allowed in the maze, we had a horrible event where a large dog growled and lunged as we turned a corner and it's owner wasn't too nice about the incident. Other then that minuscule setback it was an awesome day of tromping through the pumpkin patch ( it's an authentic it's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown kinda pumpkin patch) to find the perfect pumpkin we checked out the farms coffee stand, food court and gift shop, we then headed over to the barn to check out the animals. There are so many photo ops it's ridiculously cute, I'm mean you can even measure the growth of your child in the maze room one Halloween pic a year pretty cute :) Total time spent about 4 hours the corn maze was HUGE the best we've been to. It's best to go early getting on the island gets more and more difficult the closer to Halloween you get and the earlier in the day the better have fun there's so much to do here that one weekend will not be enough.

Yelp
I love everything about this place! Fresh produce market with very reasonable prices (far less than supermarkets). Or go out to into the fields and do u-pick. Walk through the free barn of animals. They have chickens, ducks, rabbits, pheasants, peacocks/peahens, emus, a llama, and more. In the fall, it's a fun place to go for pumpkins, hay rides and of course the famous corn maze. Less than 15 minutes from downtown Portland this is a wonderful place to enjoy with friends and/or family, or even alone.

Yelp
I admit I've never picked/purchased a pumpkin here, but that aside, if you're willing to go out to Sauvie Island, it's a pretty GREAT PLACE to do a ton of U-Pick fruits!!! Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, marionberries, and even veggies are all available during their respective season....U-pick prices are competitive with other farms in the area, and they have a nice big barn full of pre-picked, fresh, mostly-local fruits and veggies for those that don't want to venture out and experience the joy of working the land and picking what you eat. Oh yeah, and in case you didn't plan ahead and bring your own u-pick boxes, they usually have free ones, as well as newer/fancier boxes for purchase. I did the corn maze a couple years ago and it was pretty fun, but it's not enough to compel me to go every year. I at least recommend you do it and/or take your kids at least once if you've never been before. Come here for U-Pick stuff and I doubt you'll regret it. If you find a farm that's better, let me know and I'd be happy to give them a try! :-) ***Review #25 in the Yelp 30 in 30 Challenge!***

Yelp
This is a great place for the kids and family. They have expanded the parking lot so expect large crowds and a walk. They have pumpkins of course and so much more. They have food hot dogs, grilled cheese, hot sandwiches, ice cream, and coffee. They have a corn maze, country store with fresh corn on the cob, frozen fruit pies. Wear a mask as social Distancing is difficult at times due to large crowds. We come here every year or more for fun and birding on the rest of the island.
