"Fans of the austere contemporary design that forms the back-bone of the Design Hotel concept will love this new fifty room hipster tucked away in a non-descript side street near Frankfurt’s main train station. Like most design hotels, this place is mostly self-service—you carry your own bags and no one fusses over you when you arrive in the stream-lined all-white lobby,, which has sort of “Clockwork Orange” or Courreges gestalt right down to the rounded edges on most furniture and backlit bar which also serves as the reception desk. The Wenge parquet-floored rooms are high-ceilinged, decently sized and all-white with square accordion shades on over-head fixtures, white-leather-upholstered head boards, and wall-mounted media centers (TV, Musicbox). A small but well-equipped workout room, glass-walled sauna and steam shower form a wellness center in the basement, and if the hotel has no restaurant or room-service, Frankfurt’s best pizza place, 7 Bello is just a few doors down and does takeaway. If this place is comfortable and a good buy for Frankfurt, a few design idiosyncracies—the long back panel of the desk meant heavy-duty furniture shifting to plug in a lap top and a lack of insulation can mean undesired intimacy with one’s neighbors—should remind groovy architects and interior designers that style should never prevail over substance. Lots of welcome details, like free wireless internet access, great Thai herbal toiletries, and feather duvets, put this place a head or two above other center-city style contenders"

The location was very easy to find. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. |The hotel was clean and easy to find my way around. |One thing that made my stay better was the front desk had power converters for customers so they can charge cell phones. |Thank you!

Very conveniently located for traveling to and from the Hauptbahnhof. 24H gym and sauna, though small is great for the jet lagged who can’t sleep.. The night staff switched on the sauna and gym equipment happily and promptly.|The balcony room was quiet, clean and had all the conveniences for a short stay.|Comfortable bed and fluffy pillows.

Overall is good. The staff is friendly and polite. breakfast is nice. Hotel is near to train station but we will abit worry when walk from train station to hotel as there are alot of homeless people surrounding. Our room bedframe abit squeaky.

Finding a gem in the hustle and bustle of Frankfurt, this city hotel boasts an exceptional location right next to the main station. Surprisingly peaceful at night 🌙, it offers a sanctuary amidst the urban rush. The staff welcomes you with open arms and warm smiles 😊, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in. While the surrounding area might not win any beauty contests, with a noticeable decline over the past four years, it still holds hidden spots for a casual evening out 🍻. A few pubs and restaurants dot the vicinity, though they might not dazzle, they do provide a local flavor worth experiencing. For shopaholics, the shopping mall isn't too far off, offering a decent spree away from the hotel. Its prime location makes it perfect for those on the go, whether you're catching an early train 🚂 or flying out at dawn ✈️, ensuring you're always on time. A great pick for a quick stopover in Frankfurt

I stayed here for four nights, and although the rooms, common areas and breakfast are great, the location is pretty awful. It’s convenient and central, but the neighborhood is pretty yucky. I never managed to walk from the subway to the hotel without getting accosted, followed or solicited by a drug dealer. They’re on every corner of Niderstrasse between the hotel and train station. On the positive side, it’s easy walking distance to the Messe and every train you could need to get around Frankfurt. That said, I would probably stay elsewhere next time, just to avoid all the seedy street activity.

I booked this hotel because I was arriving via train and planning on going to the airport next morning (easily accessible through the mainstation via S8 and S9). Area around this hotel is not great. Some could feel unsafe, but it‘s a few minute walk from the Frankfurt main station. Signs are also posted to not carry weapons including guns around that area which I haven’t seen before in Germany. Sidewalks are sometimes blocked by parked cars as well. If I had the option I would stay in a different area next time, in my particular case probably at the airport. The Hotel: Entrance is not wheelchair accessible! Outlets are hard to find. There are none near the bed, but there’s an extension cord behind the desk. The rooms have their best years behind them with scratches and holes all over, and the chalky window in the shower. It’s not disgustingly awful but there’s room for improvement. Color temperature of the lamps is really odd, either really orange or white-greenish. The black out curtain does not cover the window completely from one side to the other. The best thing is probably the Breakfast. A good selection of fruits, joghurt and muesli, breads, spreads, sausages and cheeses, drinks etc. And the staff is accommodating as well even helping us with the luggage up the stairs at the entrance.

Location close to Frankfurt central station, the area is rather challenging en not very pleasant to walk around.. rooms are small en mattresses are outdated en in my case it caused serious back pain every morning.. service is pleasant en helpful but it is not recommended in general

As a consistent traveler in Europe, I am aware that most neighborhoods around central train stations leave a lot to be desired- they usually aren't the best. But there really isn't anything wrong with this location; Frankfurt isn't necessarily a tourist destination anyhow, it is more of a hopping point to other cities. We chose this Marriott hotel due to the walking distance to the central station for an ICE train to Berlin- and it delivered. If you are looking for a more "touristy" area, always choose neighborhoods away from central stations. This was perfect for what we needed, and we would absolutely stay again if our trip included Frankfurt as a stop off. Additionally, central station is an easy way to get to Old Town Frankfurt, a small but historically impactful area.
