Northern Territory in Greenpoint Has Closed Permanently | Eater NY

"A Greenpoint summer rooftop favorite for five years, Northern Territory at 12 Franklin St., near Meserole Avenue, was a multi-level restaurant and bar with indoor space and an outdoor rooftop that offered waterfront views of Manhattan; it became known for frozen drinks and, most importantly, vibes that felt more relaxed than New York’s usual sceney rooftop bars. Located in a largely industrial stretch between Williamsburg and Greenpoint that has seen a recent bump in foot traffic, the bar announced on Instagram that it isn’t reopening for the season and will be closed permanently at that outpost because the property is being razed for a seven-story development; although owner Jamie Toll told Greenpointers last August that the venue would close for the winter and reopen for one last summer season in 2019, that is no longer happening due to a deal with the landlord. Northern Territory says it plans to relocate somewhere in the area, and the new office and manufacturing development replacing the site — which will also have rooftop space — is expected to open in the next couple of years." - Serena Dai

Great little stop for some lunch. We really enjoyed the pizza, good fresh unprocessed ingredients and not overloaded. Mango cheesecake was delicious. Not drinking alcohol at the moment so unfortunately wasn’t able to try the beers. Really glad we called in.

Enjoyed brunch at The Purple Mango Cafe & Brewery at Marrakai NT. Great pizza, coffee & service. Worth diverting a small way from Arnhem Highway for a visit.

Booked a night of camping with a couple of friends to celebrate my partners birthday and what a beautiful spot to celebrate! From the minute you walk in you feel more like you are staying and a mates property and not a commercialised camp ground. The owners (Adam and Kylie) are so very accomodating and you can tell they just want their guests to have a good time. The woodfire pizzas were beautiful, and the selection of beers on tap and by the stubby we’re great. They also baked a delicious mango cheesecake for the celebration, absolutely beautiful! A beautiful hidden gem, we will definitely be back!

Our group spent a night here in caravans, the pizzas and salads and desserts were delicious. The brewery has an extensive range of beers, and other options of cider, seltzer, wine, spirits and yummy mango daiquiris. We really enjoyed our stay, making use of the beautiful garden for a game of Finska on the lawn. Kylie and Adam are super friendly, hospitable, helpful and accommodating. We're very glad we popped out there 😄

located one hour Berry Spring and Darwin, on Arnhem Road. Suitable for travellers and not really for a date. Thin and crispy vegetarian pizza is acceptable, cooked in wood oven. Beer platter is interesting, mango beer is worth a try. No Wi-Fi available. Be careful with roadworks.

Very yummy pizza with a very good beer. Next time I'll come with my camper. Do not order to much pizza, leave some space for the awesome mango cheese cake, wow, so good. Book because it is pretty bussy

Amazing spot for delicious pizza and beers after the jumping croc cruise. A tiny bit out of the way but well worth the detour - we had an amazing time. You feel really secluded! Would love to stay the night there, it would be a great experience.

Great little place and the beers were great, pizza not so great. Pizza was the only thing on the menu so thought we’d give them a go, but felt the base of the pizza was a bit odd for our liking. Great beer, not so great pizza. Potential to be an awesome little spot

Yelp
5 star This little treasure is amazing. That word gets overused in reviews but it really was amazing. The couple own and built this little haven and there love for food, land and people really shines thru! I ordered breakfast and watching the native birds while I sipped a heavenly Chai latte made with as much love and respect for coffee as you would find in Milan, it was amazing. The sophisticated food is casually presented in a comfortable and relaxing verandah with large spanning grassed and treed area to gaze upon. There is camping available and I could only imagine waking up to the smells of warm home made breads being toasted or the spicy homemade baked bean creation which was filling wholesome and heartwarming with each spoonful. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves and respects great food. The area is child safe and welcoming of little ones, so there is no reason not to visit with the entire family of all ages. Personally I want to go back as soon as possible for the deserts!
