The Quarry Chi: Art, Culture, Dining & Entertainment

We’ve had the pleasure of working with The Quarry twice now to produce Chi Tech Cllct's Takeoff event and Coded in Color happy hour for our community of Black technologists in Chicago, and they’ve been absolutely phenomenal each time. From the moment we started planning, their team went above and beyond to ensure our events were successful. The multi-functional space, complete with a kitchen and outdoor patio, was perfect for creating a dynamic experience for our guests. On top of that, The Quarry introduced us to some fantastic vendors who we still collaborate with today, showing how well-connected they are within the community. Their deep commitment to community engagement is felt, and the new programming they’ve introduced is exciting and truly multi-generational. We couldn’t recommend them more!

I recently hosted a graduation party at the Quarry. The outside does not do the inside space and experience justice. Zee and his team transformed the space into the perfect event. Anything we asked, they accomodated our requests. They did a wonderful job with the room layout. They were flexible with our schedule and were very responsive. It was a great partnership that worked very well. I would be happy to host another event at the Quarry.

I went for my birthday event. We had a party of 6 ppl. The Jazz was excellent. However, some of the food was cooked properly others was left undone. Some of our meals did not have all the items presented on our tickets. It was very embarrassing. They mentioned they would replace all of our tickets to another event but after reaching out several months via email ( and leaving several messages on their voicemail I just stopped trying.) They have never replaced any guests tickets. I did not want to leave a poor review because I tend to support black owned but was forced to at this point. I would not recommend for large parties. The communication is poor unless you would like to make a purchase. Then it seems they do not get back with you unfortunately. I will not be back.

I had a wonderful and awesome experience here at the quarry center! Antoine and Zee Had one of the most phenomenal customer service and showed great care Intending To our event needs. This place has magnificently Changed for the better! I definitely recommend this center to anyone else looking for an event or rental spaces

This place is great! Very peaceful place to just sit back relax and enjoy lovely jazz music. They also have food servers that come around handing you yummy food and dessert.

Went to Jazz night on Friday. This place is great! Wonderful relaxing venue, not over run like many places in Chicago are, great resonable priced bar, the food was really good as they have an on-site master chef who really knows how to cook. The waitresses were very friendly and stopped by our table often, what's not to LUV ❤️ about this place. This has to be one of the best kept secrets on the South Side. I purchased my tickets at Eventbright and was only $15. What a value for a night of Jazz with a live band. Secure easy free parking lot right next to club. Sam Somebody was the Jazz band playing and was awesome. His sax skills were remarkable. Did a great mix of classic and a few obscure Jazz songs that were very educational. One of the highlights of the night was when his sister got up on stage and just let loose, she is so talented and everyone at my table was just in awe at her voice range and perfect pitch tone. Mariah Carey ain't got nothing on you. Also, it was a very nice mature audience, and yes, some dancing and a lot of fun were all over the place. I could really feel the love here as everyone was so nice. All races were present and made to feel welcome. Absolutely no young thugs here, so if that was of any concern, it's not an issue. Can't wait to come back, I think I may just become a regular on Friday Jazz nights. I recently moved into this area near 75th St. and it is so wonderful to have a venue like this in my neighborhood. Congrats to the people who envisioned this club and for the hard work it must have taken to make it happen. If you haven't been here yet, ya gotta check it out, you will be glad you did!

It was very nice. I was very impressed....The outside area was comfortable and great for those who wanted to enjoy the Summer weather. Quite a hidden Gem and there is a parking lot..
