"After eight years as one of Upper Kirby’s most popular bars, The Queen Vic will serve its final pint later this month. Bursting onto the Houston food scene in 2010, The Queen Vic brought creative Indo-British gastropub fare to Houston with dishes like short rib samosas and Goan Fisherman’s Curry." - Mai Pham

Woah, I never thought I would find a good Indian food in this place! I ordered pork vindaloo without hesitation and he had Indian lamb kebab burger. Both are really good! Price is a little on the high side, but it's definitely worth every penny. Cocktails is strong too!

Saint Patrick's Day. Was looking for some fish and chips like I had my entire trip in Dublin Ireland. Just wasn't the same, it's ok as far as the food but they had none of the sauces you'd expect if you are well traveled. No HP sauce or Chef, malt vinegar was Heinz brand? Fell a little flat but the beer and Jameson was good! My girlfriends chicken sandwich was good also. So 4/5 for sure.

I loved this place , amazing service, delicious food with both Indian and British food ( I got the fisherman's curry and my mother got the fish and chips, both were amazing) excellent beer choices and don't forget to try that Irish coffee (it packs a punch ). This place is simply a must try for lunch and dinner!

I love the vibe in this place and the music on a weekday afternoon! That said, food looked good, tasted all right (I'd rather have straight up Indian food), and was a little pricey.

Pretty awesome pub food and great drink menu! I enjoyed the eclectic ambiance and crowd, and their Tikka Masala was spot on. Parking is a pain but they do good with the valet if you don't wanna risk the tow from the other lot.

When a last minute issue came up between the restaurant I originally reserved for my birthday dinner, I was in a scramble to find a restaurant that was open to accommodate 10+ people. I wanted to go to Oporto but realized they did not serve full entrees so I looked to Queen Vic Pub and Kitchen (owned by the same people). I am thrilled I chose this place! They took my reservation and were able to seat us all. The table was a bit cramped but I loved the ambiance of the place. Our server was great and really attentive. I really enjoyed all of the bar bites (veggie samosa and croquettes) we ordered and even were able to order a couple of drinks off the Happy Hour menu. I opted for a curry dish which was delicious.Although a bit too spicy for my liking and I love spicy food! The server was knowledgeable and sweet. The other complaints about parking space is very true. You are almost forced to valet so be prepared and bring cash. Don't bother driving in circles for parking spots. Everyone else at the able tried various dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meal-- that's quite an accomplishment! I definitely will be back. The place gets pretty packed so come early or make reservations.

The curry was amazing! Yummy drinks and great service. I didn't really like the fish and chip batter on the fish, it was a little mushy but they took care of it for me. Cool menu options with vegetarian options marked. We'll definitely be back!

My wife had a fish stew and I had chicken tikka masala. both were good, but saltier than we liked. wine selection is OK, but if we come back the next time, we'll stick with the beer. Last time, over a couple of years ago, my wife had fish and chips and I had some traditional English dish, which I don't remember. I think we were a bit happier last time than this time. Service was very good. Also, sometime after the meal, I felt as if my stomach had trouble digesting the food as quickly as usual. No, I felt otherwise quite fine, but maybe the food is heavier than I realized while eating. So, overall we enjoyed the food to give it a 3*-4* rating range, the service was a bit better, but the saltiness and the heaviness leads me to just rank it between 2-3*. Hence the 3* overall. We will likely explore the menu more. a 3* restaurant is good, in my book, but not so great as to come regularly. If we're in the area, we'll likely stop by and try the English vs. Indian menu.
