An Intimate New Bar Will Take Over a Historic Home in the Heights | Eater Houston

"Housed in a 1928 bungalow at 1317 E. 29th Street, this new North Heights bar aims to be a laid-back, intimate drinking destination with a carefully curated beer and cocktail list, an on-site kitchen, and a 10,000-square-foot dog-friendly outdoor space. Currently under construction and expected to open in early 2022, promotional materials promise a “meticulously curated ambiance” meant to encourage guests to “burrow in” and “go down the rabbit hole.” The project is positioned amid a neighborhood in transition—just north of the Houston Farmers Market and near recent restaurant and residential redevelopment along North Shepherd—and one of the managing partners, Ian Frascati, brings experience with local bars and flea-market events. Planned programming includes local entertainment and space for food trucks; the venture has active social media pages and has raised roughly $7,000 toward a $275,000 Nextseed goal." - Brittanie Shey

We followed the rabbit and enjoyed our drinks by the tree. I don’t know our bartenders name but he was playing great music and made our drinks so expertly. Will definitely be back to try more. Really cool spot, love the vintage vibe.

I absolutely love this place. I have honestly been wanting to gatekeep it, but I guess I’ll share the love. 😂 William, Jonathan, and Kieth are amazing, truly the best. The customer service is unmatched, the drinks are on point, and the vibes are always right. If you are looking for good music, great cocktails, an inviting ambience, and top-tier service, this is the spot!

The Rabbit Hole is my new favorite spot in Houston! I stopped by last week and was highly impressed. The elegant, chic ambiance fascinated me, and their drink menu was well thought out! I was also impressed by how excellent the customer service was all around! I recommend looking at the drink menu before you go because of its unique options; you’ll probably want to try them all. 😄 Otherwise, the bartenders are happy to help.

Came here for a ladies’ Christmas gathering and it was perfect! The bar was beautifully decorated for the holidays, with great lighting and cozy festive vibes. The bartenders were incredibly helpful—reserving areas for us, making great drinks, and staying attentive all night. The Christmas cocktails were a hit. Excellent experience all around!

We stumbled upon The Rabbit Hole last night and loved every minute of it. The space is intimate and moody -- chandeliers, mirrors, and just the right touch of Halloween charm right now -- making it perfect for date night or cocktails with friends. The bartenders were genuinely friendly and clearly take pride in their craft. Every cocktail was thoughtful and beautifully presented. We tried the Black Potion and the Espresso Martini, both perfectly balanced -- smooth and sophisticated. Add to all that, a fantastic playlist that appealed to everyone. We will be back - likely tonight!

Nice neighborhood bar! Large bar area with maybe 12 stools but if it gets crowded you will eventually be standing only. The whole place is a nice contemporary classy vibe. Can't wait to come back in the evenings to see both bartenders in their element; cool guys! No food.

Went to Rabbit Hole for a drink before going to dinner. When you walk in the place has nice vibes and friendly mixologists. I asked for something not too sweet and a little boozy, and they recommended a Kentucky Buck. I had never had one, but wow it really hit the spot. It had fresh strawberries and was bourbon based I believe. I'd definitely go back to see what other cocktails I'd like, especially since it's really close by me.

This new bar in the Heights is amazing! They were still in their opening phases and it was a great experience. The decor is AMAZING! It's a nice space for an intimate night out. The bartender gave a great description of their drinks. The syrups that they use our house made and the drinks to me were perfect. I definitely will be back when I'm in the area.
