The Ragery

Took my boyfriend for his birthday. I purchased our tickets on Groupon. The place is pretty small. Only 3 rage rooms. The room itself was small. There is a slightly bigger one in the front. We went early to see if they could get us in earlier by chance and each room was being used. We went out for coffee and came back. Show up early to fill out waivers and get suited up because your time starts at the designated time whether you are in the room ready to go or not. I say that because we got there and had to use the bathroom before starting and after get situated we got in the room about 5 minutes after our time and you don’t get to add that time. If you’re scheduled from 2:30 to 3 you have to leave the room at 3. This way other groups can go in. We got 3 medium monitors and a large tv and about 12 ceramics. The package I paid for said 20 ceramics, but it wasn’t a huge deal. We were in the rage room for about 5 minutes and one of the employees came in and said we only had 3 more minutes. We were really confused lol but my boyfriend went out and told him we purchased 30 minutes. The employee felt bad for interrupting and he brought us more ceramic plates to shatter. We appreciated him doing that to make up for the confusion. The rage rooms themselves have no ventilation. It gets hot quick. I mean dropping sweat, hair wet, clothes sticking to you hot. It was gross. You get to play your own music. They give you Bluetooth speakers to take into your room. You can record yourself on these shelves they have in the room. It’s a great touch for those that like pictures and videos. Lastly, the white guy in the front with the blonde hair and European accent was watching the news and making comments about Trump and one of the other employees told him to relax lol. We came to The Ragery to rage out not listen to your political opinions. Overall we had a good time. It felt good to smash things and let some frustration out. I think they have something good going here. Would be cool if they could get a bigger space, but it is New York and for the little space they have it works.

1,000,000/10 EXPERIENCE! Really recommend every one come here! Scheduling this at least once a year going forward! It’s a MUST ! lucky us we were able to smash for almost a full hour!!! I was excited but this was beyond mind blowing. THE FREEDOM YOU FEEL IS NEXT LEVEL! You can blast your own music, multiple weapons to choose from and The best part to elevate the experience is bringing your OWN ITEMS to break. We absolutely demolished everything there we could in sight and felt so proud after doing so. Please stretch before visiting…It is a full body workout!

Fair but overpriced and underwhelming I paid for the toptier package and added two extra people, expecting a solid variety of *intact* items to smash. Unfortunately, most of what we got was already broken or heavily damaged. Not exactly satisfying when you're looking to let loose and rage. To make matters worse, the room was extremely hot. We only lasted about 20 to 25 minutes before tapping out early. Ventilation seriously needs improvement. On the plus side, the staff was accommodating. I mistakenly booked the wrong day and they rescheduled us with no hassle. I appreciated that. Overall, it was a decent experience but not worth the price in my opinion. 6.5 out of 10. Probably would not go back.

The experience was fun and very cathartic. The staff was not the most welcoming or professional and we were disappointed when they cut us off at 12 minutes in the rage room even though we paid for 20 minutes. Not sure the protection suit they give you would do much, as it tears very easily, so I would recommend being careful while you rage. A pro is the let you play your own music in the rage room. It was fun, but not sure we will be back, and would be hesitant to recommend to others.

Cathartic, exhilaratingggggg, safe AND SO MUCH FUN!! Such a uniquely fun experience to release some energy at a very reasonably priced, well managed business. Trying something new can be intimating, but Ragery crew (extra shout out to Roman) for getting us all set up and ready to rageeeee. Come ready to have a great time (and a playlist too)!!

Many thanks to Roman and team for being able to reschedule my error in incorrect date on the fly! Had a great time and smashed our way through computer screens, tv screen and lots of ceramics. I think airflow could be improved in the rooms, we worked up quite a sweat! Super fun though!!

Had a great time with my friends! The place itself is pretty bare bones/rough looking which fits the whole aesthetic of a rage room. Staff was good about making sure we abided by rules and safety protocol as well which was appreciated. Definitely look forward to going back

An Unforgettable Experience at The Ragery! On January 25th, my friend and I visited The Ragery and had the Full Experience for $200. It was absolutely incredible! Being able to release all our anger and smash things in a safe and controlled environment was both exhilarating and therapeutic. One of the best parts was that we could play our own music on the speaker, which made the experience even more personal and fun. The staff was amazing—super kind, caring, and friendly. They explained everything in detail, ensuring we knew exactly what we could and couldn't do. We felt completely safe and well taken care of the entire time. If you're looking for a unique and powerful way to let go of stress, I highly recommend The Ragery. It's an experience you won’t forget!

A really good experience, would definitely go back. I did pay for a 360 which I really was looking forward to. The guy that checked us in, I guess didn't see it. So of course, we didn't get it. Was pretty boomed out about that, refunded but didn't really receive anything else in return. Was told he was send us videos never got that. But apart from that 3.5/10!

I'd been curious about rage rooms for a while, and after stumbling upon The Ragery while walking my dog, I finally decided to check it out with a friend. We went for the $200 room, which came with one large item, one medium, one small, and a variety of plates and cups to smash. The process starts with signing waivers, storing your stuff in a locker, and suiting up with a helmet (with a face guard), gloves, and a thin jumpsuit. They also give you a wireless speaker so you can blast your own music while you rage which adds a fun personal touch. Inside the room, the rules are pretty straightforward: don't break the walls, don't hit each other, and keep communicating. You get a choice of "weapons" including bats, pipes, crowbars, a skateboard, and hammers. For about 30 minutes, we were on our own with plenty of room to let off steam and smash things to our hearts' content. Was it fun? Absolutely. Smashing stuff is as therapeutic as you'd hope. Was it worth $200? That's a tougher call. It felt a bit steep for what you get, but the experience did match what was advertised. I imagine you could find similar rooms for less money outside of Manhattan, but this is New York; just about everything is pricier here, even breaking stuff. Overall, I had a blast, but if you're on a budget, keep in mind that the cost is definitely part of the thrill in this city.

I found myself at The Ragery for a team-building exercise with my colleagues. We've done several of these in the past but we always try to change up the type of event each time. When I heard we were coming here, I was intrigued. I honestly never did something like this before, so I was looking forward to the experience. The Ragery is a place where, to be blunt, you come and break stuff. The space is organized into rooms where groups have access to several items as well as tools to destroy them. There's no rhyme or reason to what there is - but there were a lot of glasses, plates, and old electronics. They offer speakers you can hook your phone up to and play music, and some of the rooms have rotators on the ceiling where you can affix your phone and take video of your destruction. After a while we were spent, and they offered us some complimentary beverages before leaving which I thought was a nice touch. The customer service was great and very organized. It was a very stepwise approach - we signed the waivers (which are available electronically for convenience), got dressed in our garb, and then had the rules explained to us. The team was constantly there to assist and answer any questions we had. Overall, I had a good time at The Ragery. I'm not sure I would return - not because of the customer service or experience per se, but more because breaking stuff is not my coping mechanism of choice to relieve stress. If it is though, or you are curious, I would recommend this place.

We had such an awesome time! Bagdon the owner was so nice and accommodating. Perfect for a date activity while visiting new york :) they let you play your own music too!! such a vibe and so fun getting to smash everything !!!

I loved this place. You need to book in advance esp since this place fills up. The employees are very friendly and helpful. You get a private room per booking and able to add additional items to smash. They had options like computer monitors, microwaves, plates and dishes, etc. it was a lot of fun! They also provide speakers for you to listen to music to while you smash! It's an unexpectedly fun mini workout too

I worked with The Ragery on a corporate event and could not recommend them enough. They went out of their way to make it a memorable time, helping coordinate food/drink, being flexible about the types of stuff we wanted to break, and just really being professional the entire process. I was very impressed with their setup, especially the room that faces the street with the 360 video camera. They also wanted to make sure we had awesome music playing in every room. Overall, I highly recommend The Ragery to anyone looking to have an awesome time, let off some steam, and do something creative. A++++

Roman is the absolute best! We love the place he seen us come in and we felt the welcome and safe space vibe immediately. 10000/10 coming back for boxing classes definitely!!OH PLUS SIZE FRIENDLYYY!!

There was a mix up with my appointment and the staff at the Ragery were extremely accommodating to us and allowed us to have a fantastic time. Easy recommend.

The world needs more of these services! For the price, it would be nice to had a bit more items BUT, after we were done, they did let us know that we could bring our own. Will definitely be doing so the next time (and yes, there will be a next time!)

It was a great staff outing. Staff were able to let out some stress, we ended up paying extra for more things to break and the room felt a bit small for 6 people. Would love it do it again with a bigger room and more items.

This was a fun thing to do with my teenage son. It's something different and we both had a good laugh after it was all done.

Not enough stuff to break - they make it sound like there is a lot more breakable stuff in the room but in reality there are only like 2 things. Very underwhelming.

Please come here! First off, I found this rage room out of pure luck. It was my friend's birthday & I tried to book a last minute appointment to all of the popular rage rooms but everywhere else was booked. We scheduled a 5:40 appointment but it was raining & due to traffic we came 20 minutes late. Thankfully, the staff were very nice and welcoming. They informed us about which precautions to take and what to expect since it was our first time at a rage room. We were given protective gear, they let us play our music in the speaker, and even had a rotating phone mount set up in our room to take a 360° video. My group had so much fun. Definitely a great experience. We'll be coming back for sure.
