I have the most amazing time at this place on Saturday for the Latin Hip hop Freestyle Concert.. I see why this place be poppin!! Trust me you will have an amazing time here if you decide to check it out..

First time coming to watch some wrestling, bar staff were cool, bar back started harassing me and and was then defended by lady bartender on the patio. Bar back was extremely disrespectful. “Not an exit” sign was written with tiny letters and poor handwriting and was to be enforced by the bar back like he was the Sherrif. Well this guys craving for power has cost you somebody that spent around $600 to be there. Never again.

My sisters and I walked in last Saturday to get “one drink” and ended up staying all night! The DJ for Latin night was so good and we danced the entire time! The bartenders were great and there was no wait to order. We will definitely be back!

First time customer. The website shows food and that was part of the reason for my visit. Upon arrival and asking for food.... There is none. Had a beer and visited with the Bartender. Food might be coming... but until then, it is still a great place for a few drinks.

Really neat place but underutilized. Only food available was sea food trailer which no one in our group liked so we had to leave to go eat elsewhere. Other than that it is a cool bar, huge outdoor space. Was really surprised there wasn't a food menu and ultimately had to leave

Nice atmosphere, cool temperature wise inside, seating could be more comfy, but maybe thats by design , staff was friendly, and the outside seating was great , cold beer. We will be back and try some food. We give it A solid 8.

This bar is awesome! Clean, fun and friendly. The food was really good too! Lots of outside space. Managers are attentive and checked with us for feed back on how we like the place. New to area and for sure will be spending alot of time here.

The band I work with played here last night and we all had so much fun! The staff were awesome and super accommodating! When you first walk in, you think it’s just another regular bar: pool tables, tvs, etc., but you step out of the back or side door and see that there’s a huge outside area to explore. There is a spacious turf lawn out back with an outside bar, stage, multiple fire pits and a few food trucks that happen to serve incredible food! I picked up a pulled pork sandwich from Coursons BBQ and I highly recommend it. I knew absolutely no one there but everyone around me was so friendly and inviting, it was a nice change from the Austin bar scene. This place has such an awesome vibe and atmosphere, I’m so willing to make the hour drive to come hang out again!

The Railhouse is a bar located in Kyle, TX that is the PERFECT place to check out because it doesn't cater to just ONE specific group of customers ie: country music crowd, hip-hop crowd, sports bar crowd, ect., ect. Instead, it caters to ALL of these customers, depending on the day of the week - check out the events calendar on their website. Because "sharing is definitely caring", here are a few more helpful tidbits & reasons why The Railhouse deserves this 5-star review: --- parking situation: huge private parking lot w/ plenty of parking spaces -- no cover charge on Fridays (not sure about any other days since I've only visited on a Friday) --- reasonably priced alcohol drinks! Went to the Railhouse to meet up with a girlfriend and wanted to see an 80s cover band that was advertised on their website. When we arrived, there was no band. We asked the bartender about it and were told that the band we had made a special trip to see had canceled. This was obviously disappointing. The bar tender did offer us a free round of drinks for the inconvenience, but the damage has already been done. So we left and went to dinner somewhere else and came back a few hours later and they had a DJ playing tunes, but it was underwhelming so we left again. Not the experience we were expecting.

Went to the Can't We Try Freestyle music fest, had a good time for my first time at this place with the acceptance of one bartender, he was rude and cold. Ended the night, closed my tab and paid my bill, the following Tuesday, they tried to charge the same bill AGAIN! So I called my bank, disputed the duplicate charge, here we are Friday and they tried to process the payment AGAIN! Like who does that?!! So having to put a stop payment ON MY EXPENSE after paying a $170 bill is not cool. Nice place, for the most part and a good music vibe but untrustworthy and trust is a must for me. Won't be coming back here again.

Who knew Kyle had such a lively bar in the area! This place is always buzzing with energy. The first time I visited, Baby Bash was performing--so random! It's great to have a fun spot so close to home!

Great find in Kyle with a variety of things to do outside or inside. Bars are in both places. Live music outside with a bar and a court to play something towards the back. I'm not sure but I was more focused on the band and grab a quick drink. Inside there was polka type music playing and big bar area. I went inside to use the washroom but had a couple friends go inside to check it out and it wasn't their vibe but they liked the AC. Maybe it's different on other nights but this was a Thursday. They could use some misters or fans outside was my only complaint because it was a bit hot in the humidity. There's a parking lot to park for free that goes the length of the outside part of the bar. It's a casual environment where you can wear shorts and T-shirt or something like that or dress more festive. The drinks are average priced and the food can be brought outside to sit on picnic tables. It's a nice vibe with friendly staff. The service can be a bit slow but there was only one bartender, so perhaps when it's more crowded, they have more staff. Also a nice touch is the water cooler and cups so you can hydrate self serve.

The Railhouse survived the Great Pandemic and live music is back, both at their outdoor and indoor stages. The outdoor stage has the capacity and sound system for larger shows, and indoors is more basic club setting with a couple of nice full bars and a stage in the far corner. Four large screen TVs and the requisite neon bar signs adorn the walls. The building has a concrete floor and a metal roof, both of which give a clean feel but are fairly disastrous for acoustics. Nevertheless, kudos to their sound guy for making the indoor stage work, because they definitely bring in some good acts here that you don't want to miss. There are a few tables, and space to dance indoors, should the mood strike. There's a pleasant spacious feel, and several outdoor patio areas with seating. The outdoor stage also has an open area for dancing or standing closer to the stage, and an array of tables as well. Tickets are available online for their larger shows. Bartenders and other staff are friendly and on the ball, and food is available at two food trucks out back, tucked behind the main building and accessible from the outdoor stage area as well. The menu emphasis is on BBQ and sides, both of which have a home-prepared feel. See my photos of the current menus to get a more detailed idea of what is offered and pricing. I'd like to see some non-meat entree options, but none were offered currently. The Railhouse is situated right next to a very active train track (hence the name), but we only heard the passing rumble and horn when we were outside. Parking is available in their small private lot at the front. As the live music scene continues to be pushed out farther away from its origins, we're happy to have well-managed venues like this cropping up not too far outside the Austin city limits .

I had such a good time at Railhouse. Sat outside and was able to enjoy the atmosphere there. There's a fun game outside to play with your friends and plenty of seating. I was surprised that I got about 4-5 drinks and my bill came to a little over $50. The drinks are also good and quick. When I think about getting drinks with friends in the Kyle area I think of coming here.

Great burgers! We've had a few and they're all good! Delicious homemade chips. Have not tried Wrap Godz yet.

Rude, DRUNK BARTENDER named Valerie denied an individual of my party with a valid I.D., who was not intoxicated whatsoever, a beer (but she was wasted!). The security checked our I.D.'s and granted us to admittance. However, miss looooong pour, ya I watched as she poured a very overly poured drink and hand it over to someone, all while she decided to tell my family we were not welcome in the bar because our guest had an out of state I.D. and I feel she is prejudice against out-of-towner's. As a self proclaimed "bartender of 17 years" she should know better than to be drunk behind the bar. She became combative as I ordered my drink, while slurring her words and telling us 3 times, in 2 minutes, how long she has been a dang bartender, wtw?¿ Whatever--- girl get control of yourself and learn how to not get drunk until after your shift... but wait? Then that would be after 2 a.m. and that is illegal. Are you driving too? Wtw?¿ How can you legally control alcohol consumption when you're wasted? No girl, you can't! Everyone in our group were in possession of valid I.D.'s and drunk-drink-pourer-girl, not a veteran bartender, was simply too wasted to determine one way or the other. Our experience was uncalled for, and we have zero desire to return. BYE.

Great atmosphere, and a super friendly bartender. I would definitely recommend a night out here!

This is a decent spot to hangout and grab a couple drinks with friends. They have an outdoor area where you can either sit at high tables or at the benches near the fire pits. They also have live music at the outdoor stage. Note that there are more drink selections in the inside bar. The outdoor bar is mostly beer and canned alcohol. Parking is limited and can get packed. Dog friendly. They also have food trucks.

Dig this place. Plenty of room inside, the drinks are reasonable and cold. Out back is a killer section for live music. Great place to kick back and relax and the crowd seem like good people.

This place rocks! Great food, DJs, and concerts! I recommend you come party here because there is always a party!

Best Tejano bar in Kyle. Take that as you want. Barria tacos at food truck are some of the best I've had. Coca Cola seems to have an off taste. Easy to get a drink, if you don't mind bar Bar service only. I don't.

My first time visiting was when my band was booked there in January. Due to the colder temperature, we played inside that night. The staff was friendly and the crowd was very inviting. The food provided by the food trucks was terrific and everyone couldn't have made that night more enjoyable for us. Can't wait til we're back!

This place is down the street from my house and I have gone here a few times in the past few months. There is lots of parking, and a ton of space for guest to sit inside or outside. There are a few food trucks in the back to grab some food, and almost each time I have been there has been live music. Drinks are pretty average price, but they do have a happy hour during the week. I think this is the perfect place to grab a drink after work and chill with your friends!

Had a great time here twice. Live music y'all!! Once at the outdoor stage with so much fun dancing. They have 2 bars, 1 out 1 in for beverages. Busy but reasonable waits. The bartender was friendly as was the gate guy. At the smaller concert more dancing and fun. Two totally different crowds for Indie rock vs country gigs. I am not a fan of the the food truck. I would suggest eating prior to arrival.

Update on my past review. Since my past experience with this place, many things improved. Some of the staff is friendly but others are not very friendly and don't greet you or smile. If you try and say hello or try and be friendly to them, they look at you like your bothering them. The music and and DJ is awesome and food is great!

Came here for my moms 53rd Birthday, I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know not to visit. Lasted less than 20 mins. We drove in from San Antonio because we saw good ratings and wanted to try something new for the occasion while staying semi close to everyone as we live within 2&1/2 hours of one another so we met up with my aunt, uncle and other aunt (mind you everyone is well over the age of 45 but me). We sat there for a little while as my extended family had already gotten drinks before me and my parents had gotten there. My aunt and I go up to the bar because she wanted to buy us all a round and the bar tender asked me for my ID. I am not use to getting ID'd but have zero issue when it happens. Unfortunately on this occasion I had left my wallet in college station when visiting my sister this last weekend and it was in the mail so I didn't have it with me. I simply said "oh i don't have it with me, no worries I just won't get anything" out load as I was happy just sitting with my family to celebrate and catch up plus they had a sign saying I could be there with my parents even if i'm under age, which mind you I am not. He responded with "you can't be in the bar". I am 22 years old, almost 23, and I understand and respect any establishments rights and privileges to serve whomever they please. I respect the law and was completely un-argumentative to his claims as once again I am the one without my ID so I was happy although embarrassed to walk away and ask everyone to leave had the situation been different. But the situation was absolutely backwards and totally ridiculous which is why I feel people should know before going. What caused us to leave this establishment and never return in the future is that he said this to me as he had just served a father with two children under the age of 12 and had a teenager who was barely 16 standing with him (oh and were still standing at the bar when we were having this discussion too). I walked away and informed my parents of what he told me so we could just leave because I genuinely didn't understand, was upset and felt like I was going to ruin my moms birthday bc I didn't have my ID with me and I couldn't just go home and leave them to enjoy and my aunt stayed back to make the point of exactly that. It was unfair to tell me i couldn't be inside bc I didn't have my ID with me (even tho i am 22) when there were 3 minors standing at the bar. Absolutely ridiculous, I was honestly blown away by this and their attitudes, embarrassed as to why I was singled out when there were children who were actually under age in the bar who weren't being kicked out and thrown as to how an establishment can operate like this. You cannot have rules for one group and different ones for another especially stating they're laws and have to be followed when you aren't following them for another group of people. To treat someone like that and argue with them when you are contradicting yourself in front of them is beyond me. Absolutely embarrassing for any employer to have someone like that on there payroll. (Even if they don't know the laws or rules, they should ask someone who does or get a manager instead of standing there looking stupid making up rules that aren't true or enforcing them for only specific individuals which makes the establishment and themselves look even worse and I want the owner to know about it.) I have worked since I was 14. In retail, i've served in the food industry, i've done the entertainment side of things and now work at an attorneys office doing collections, needless to say i've dealt with alot of people, unhappy customers, crazy situations and not so great situations, and yet still i haven't come across this level of stupidity and absurdity. In those 8 years I've seen a lot from a lot of people both patrons and workers but never something so stupid like this which ruined my entire groups plans for the evening who only wanted to enjoy the new discovery they made and instead had to scramble to find alternatives to celebrate her birthday and we would have been happy to do so there had we not been essentially forced to leave by bartenders. All in all, just wanted to let everyone know that there really are still shitty places out there to visit if you choose with even worse employees! You won't enjoy!

Disappointing trip to Railhouse last night. Paid $12 cover, plus fees to see performance. We arrived at about 7:30 for 8 o clock show. Outside bar was not open yet and there were barely any tables for people to sit at, guess they rely heavily on you bringing your own chair. Went to order drinks at outside bar and were told they were out of a lot of canned/bottled beer (said they ran out Friday) Went inside, same thing and cups reflecting several empty kegs on the taps. Now for a Saturday and a paid performance you would think they would have had a better stocking plan. Finally gave in and ordered a beer brand I really didn't want for $5 a can and sadly it was warm....ughhh! When performance started, sound was off. Musical instruments were loud and vocalist was low (back up singer was louder). Cut our losses and called it after 3 songs. Will be a while before I brave paying to go here again.

If I could give this place a 0 i would but I can't the first time coming here and the guy in front at the gate ask me for my ID im 51 years old and don't understand why someone would ask the only person in the group that wasn't drink need ID. This night we had gone to 5 different bars and they had asked for my son's ID which is 30 years but never my husband are I. We were going to different places and spending money and this place refused are service for not having ID. I will never again go to this place I will tell all of my friends and family not to go here. The person was very rude and not polite extremely very bad service.

Its a nice place for large events, but when you do have them the ladies restrooms need to have toilet paper! Paper towels were being used which clogged up some toilets. The place ran out of toilet paper very early on for the divas Freestyle show. Shout out to tye bartender (started with an M) that went in like a Super hero and brought t.p. a little late but we finally had some. In advance have plenty of t.p. ready and have a bathroom attendant on hand. I foresee a a huge bill for ur plumbing needs.

Stopped in for a car show and it was cool to check out the huge area that they have for outdoors. The outdoors includes sand volleyball, outdoor bar, a couple of different game locations as well as lots of picnic tables and a dance floor. I can see why they have lots of people when the weather is great. We tried the food truck. I had the tacos; which was only meat and lettuce...not much flavor in the meat so I was a little disappointed. My husband had a brisket/sausage sandwich and he said it was quite good. Great local bar and would definitely encourage people to stop and check it out!

What can I say, this is a gem in Kyle. The train going by makes this place unique. When I first visited it, I was a little intimidated by the whole process. I didn't know what you did. The second time, I sat and observed. Once I figured it all out, I realized this is a great place to meet with a group of friends and hang out.

Zero stars!!! Bartender allows teenagers to be in bar but not a 22 year old that doesn't have her id. Oh and by the way with parents! Making up rules!! Guess she's not allowed to drink water and eat food. But kids are okay! But again teenagers are perfectly fine to be at the bar!!! Just wrong. And maybe be polite about it and not so rude!!! Don't bother stopping!

This is a great place to hang out in downtown Kyle with live music and a food truck and really great service. I love hanging out here with my girlfriend and always have a good time here. The sliders at the food truck are awesome!

Just drove in from Denver and the food truck was closing up. Not only did they open up for me after already packing everything up, it was also the best brisket I have ever had. They have no idea how much that meant after a 15 hour drive. Much appreciated! Cool environment too!

Great venue! The bartenders are friendly and helpful and they all seem to be pretty good pours!

Tale of two cities here. Outside there is a covered patio area with a small bar and games to keep the kiddos occupied while mom and pop get comfortably numb. Fans keep the Temp bearable. There are a stage and a dance floor as well. Inside it's dark and somewhat cooler with a large bar area. There is entertainment most nights (we were there in the afternoon) and there is food available as well. Service was fine on a busy afternoon and they serve decent pours for a reasonable charge. If we lived in the area we would probably hang here if there was a decent band playing.

No host, no serves. No info on where to sit. No hello. Never coming back honestly. Please do better. Have more info, have more hosts. Let's not begin on parking.. horrible.

Good atmosphere, but food service is really bad. Still waiting after 30 minutes for two burgers.:( The food just showed up and 1/2 of the order was wrong and the half that was correct was ice cold and undercooked. First time, last time in here.

:( WAITED AN HOUR. Went Monday night at 6:30 with a group of 5 and wanted to try their BBQ. We all ordered the 2 meat 2 sides for $13 a plate. Beans are cold, bbq was cold, fries were cold, bread was stale. Workers tended to poker night regulars. -_- The most annoying part was watching other guest that got there after us eating their food. They all had a number except us, so maybe thought that's why our food hasn't arrived. When we asked about it they said ours was a "special order. " and "it's coming." Remember: This place has great reviews for entertainment not service.

This spot is very unique. Inside it's a traditional bar, with a country ambiance. Lots of tables, and bar space. The wait staff is great. Very friendly and attentive. The unique thing is you have to order your food from a food truck parked on the side. Its fenced in with picnic tables and covered areas to eat, almost like a park. The food is very good. I had brisket and ribs. I wasn't a fan of the mac and cheese, I can't say it was bad. Just different than I expected. I was sitting at the bar when a train came through. It shook the building a little, but it was kinda fun. Security was at the entrance . There's more than one bar area. Great food. Nice patrons. They are not open on Mondays and I found out the hard way. I will definitely be going back.

I love this bar when we get a chance to come out from austin but... the ladies restroom needs to be maintained often. There are some nasty women who mess it up for the rest of us. The trash cans need to be bigger to handle the trash flow on a busy night. The soap needs to be kept filled. I understand being under staffed but ladies determine where they're date night is spent if it's a dirty spot they will choose another bar.

I want to give this place 5 stars but if they want to be the best in Kyle they need to know the truth. Pros 1. Great Layout 2. Daytime - Family Friendly 3. Nighttime - Adult Friendly 4. Open Bar/Tap 5. Friendly staff Cons 1. Layout Unclear to New Customers 2. Food Truck not ideal when it rains (no cover) 3. Long time waiting for food 4. Needs more chairs in the common areas 5. Drink Menu needed 6. They close an hour before their listed hours and then suggest that you go to a night club to get your drinks. That's the reason I'm going to a bar to avoid the club! 7. No time frame for when they stop selling BBQ. Kyle is in the country. Some people are coming from long distances to get some. A time would be considerate.

It was packed nowhere to park and the parking lot is huge **a good sign of a thriving business **bartender was very pleasant and explained to me how they do *open tabs * seemed reasonable so I ordered a wine for my wife and a screwdriver for me .. even though the place was packed we found a table to sit and enjoy the atmosphere which was very warm and friendly. this place has something for everybody including games for kids food trucks, and even a coffee bar very pleasant evening, excellent service and the prices for drinks was very competitive best bar in town just what kyle needed, we will be back for sure .

I worked are the teenager for 4 weeks man I loved it then and I definitely love it even more now I can't wait to come back for some dollars in my pocket and thumb around like I'm a big bad baller.the staff was courteous friendly and know a lot about the information of the place of the past oh, they are very generous and offered me a plate I'm very humble and it tastes great. I recommend anybody now living in the booming city of Kyle to come back and refresh themselves with a little historic flavor for your buds. Tommy and JD will definitely put you in the right direction.

It's a nice bar and music venue. The food is good, but not available after 9pm and it's from a food truck out back so you have to plan accordingly. Small intimate music venue for the the indoor stage and decent prices for drinks. The outdoor stage is a little large and not nearly as cozy.

I've only been here once for an event... St. Paddy's Day. There was only 1 bartender working outside and 2 inside and the lines were incredibly long. Of you want to draw the big crowds, please staff more. There was outdoor volleyball, Cornhooe and axe throwing there today. Unfortunately the sand was littered in glass shards from the fire pits and a friend's daughter got cut. When I asked for a band aid at the bar I was shunned because I cut in line. Also waited 1.5 hrs for food from a food truck.

Wow. What a place! This place has it all. Great food, an amazing Sunday brunch, family friendly atmosphere, live music and great drinks. Everyone who works here is amazing too; friendly and engaging. And did I mention the brisket? Forget Franklin's and no need to drive to Lockhart. The brisket here is the best I've had (and I've had a lot). Coffee shop in the morning and bar at night and bring the kids until 8. Not sure how many acres this place is but it's huge and has tons of stuff to entertain kids and adults alike and a few fire pits to boot. Just go (and you'll be back the next day).

After Bruno Mars concert, my good friend invited me to this bar so we could catch up and enjoy a few drinks. This was my birthday too since I hadnt had drinks yet so he suggested this place which is near his place. I just had some margaritas and we got there late around midnight so we couldnt try food. There was live music which was pretty cool...overall place had good ambience and wouldnt mind going again!

This would of been a very detailed 5 star review if it wasn't for the poorly enthused staff members. From the kitchen staff, to the bartender nobody greeted us, smiled or even acted half way happy to be at work. Don't get me wrong the food was EXCELLENT. Being our first time here we will definitely be back for the food but I think management needs to reevaluate their staff.

What an amazing country bar, soon to be a monster contender for country music venues. Great band tonight, Brutherz is the name and they are worth searching. Mixed crowd that I believe anyone could blend into. The staff had that welcome y'all vibe and the place is very very nice. Well done and thank you for putting it in my backyard basically. Quality all around and I found my new watering hole

We are new to the area and were late getting out and missed last call (10pm).... i found this place in yelp and had so much fun.... i cant speak for food or drinks ( had a beer) But the atmosphere was so fun! The band was great with a huge outdoor dance floor .... extremely large social areas with picnic tables and cornhole, 2 sand volleyball courts... everyone was friendly and having fun.... and it is open until 2am! When leaving we could smell the BBq getting ready for the next day .... yummy! Great place to bring a large group ... and still have more room and not feel crowded.. we will certainly be back

Place is pretty cool. It has a nice layout. The staff is friendly. It just has a cool vibe. I wish they had a drink menu though. The BBQ truck out back is awesome!!!! Great food, omg. It takes a little to cook burgers and stuff, but it's worth the wait.

Came back several months later with a group of out of town family and guests. Went inside and were told to go outside and order at the food cart. We did so and the lady at the food cart was very nice told us to go inside and they would take our order and bring the food to us. We did so and when I asked the bartender for menus she told me with attitude that I had to go outside and order and she would have to talk to the person outside who didn't know what they were doing. At this point we decided this was not something we wanted to do again. some of our guests had trouble walking and we were not going to run them back out to the food court and then back inside again to eat. I know lunch is not a big deal to this establishment but they've just lost several customers. Our meal probably would have been an excess of $300 and they seemed completely un interested in giving any type of customer service. The lady at the food cart was very nice and should not be blamed if she was not trained for her job. We went down the street to another barbecue place and had a great lunch. We will not be back

This place is practically the only bar in Kyle with the other one getting burned down. Went here with my friend and were immediately asked for ids and provided no greeting or service. Went up the the bar and the big guy with the earrings and white beard tells us "sup" as we are about to order our drinks. I had never felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome by a bartender before. I'm hoping it wasn't because of a deeper issue the bartenders might've had. I will not be returning and letting all my Kyle friends know the poor experience we had on a Monday here.
