Samantha has been doing my hair for years, and her consistency never ceases to amaze me. She always goes above and beyond to ensure my experience is exceptional. From creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere to paying close attention to every detail, she truly knows how to make me feel special. She even remembers how I take my coffee, which speaks volumes about her thoughtfulness and care. My hair is the healthiest and longest it’s been in years. Thank you, Samantha!!

Samatha was amazing and exactly as advertised. She listened to my story, validate by needs, educated me on my on hair and scalp and was open and aware that one's hair is alway in process. Little bonuses such as a cup of coffee made me feel comfortable and right at home in her space and presence. She is one of those gems you almost don't want other people to know about because you're afraid you'll never get back in! But seriously, highly recommend.

I don't go here just for a haircut, I also go for the ✨vibes✨ and the chance to hangout and catch-up with Sam! It's been a little over a week since I got the cut and I've felt lighter and freer -- a gift I receive with every haircut, but this one comes with bonus curls. Sam always manages to cut it perfectly so all I have to do is brush it a certain direction and it naturally looks fantastic. (Before I found her, I had to do more daily shaping, but she knows I'm too lazy for that and styles my hair with that in mind.) I love her approach to discuss ideas with each client and shape your hair based on how you're living and what works best for the coming months. Always a joy!

Sam is absolutely awesome! She has been my hairstylist for the last 8 years. I don't trust my hair with anyone else. She listens and explains what she is doing. I trust her so much that I tell her to "do whatever, and cut as much as she thinks needs cutting." I've NEVER been disappointed. She also doesn't push product. She's the best!

Sam is just the best. I love that she strives to keep up with trends and techniques, and will always help me pick a style this is appropriate for my face and age. She’s great at working with me when I come in asking for something new, but don’t have ideas of my own. 10/10

The results of my hair cut appointments with Samantha are always the best. Samantha sits and chats with you about what kind of cut you want, but the best results happen when you ask for her input. Samantha is a gifted hairstylist. Relax, because there will be no surprises. She will give you a cut you will enjoy until you are due for your next. I'm so happy I found Samantha!

Sam is an incredibly intuitive & validating hair stylist. She is exceptional at really taking the time to actively listen in her consultation (she'll make sure to have one with you at the start of your service, every time), & she'll make sure that both parties are comfortable with the plan before moving forward. If you're at a loss of direction or ideas for your hair, don't worry, she's really good at helping you there too! If you're looking for a cozy spot with a one of a kind individual, who has robust experience & expertise in the craft/service of hair, look no further.

Cannot recommend Sam at Rare Bird enough. She listens to you better than your therapist, offers honest feedback, and will work with you to get your hair to a place where it looks cool regardless of how much effort you’re willing to put into it. I also love that your comfort is her number one priority, and it starts out before you even get to your appointment where you can request a quiet service, or fill her in on any other needs. Additionally, she has the best snacks, drinks, and book recs in town. Definitely check her out! You will leave her adorable salon looking chic, feeling lighter, and with a new book series to read.

Love love love coming here! I love that Sam will always provide the short term and long term hair routines to maintain your new hair for as long as it can be and all her product recommendations are on point. She really cares about hair and will take the time to make sure you're happy at the end!
