The 15 Best Breweries In London - London - The Infatuation

"The Real Al Company & Taproom One of the rare brew spots that has a nice inside and outside space, The Real Al Company & Taproom has bright blue and yellow wooden stools and dangling bulbs that make it feel like an adult’s playroom. This Walthamstow spot specialises in ciders—although there’s a decent selection of beers, gins, and natural wine too. You can’t go wrong with their own Craft Apple range and the Shimmy cider from guest brewery, Ascension, is one of our all-time favourites." - jake missing, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley

Yeah, this is a nice place! My friend hired it for their birthday party and loved the option of spilling outside a bit. Nice decor inside and nice lighting. Only suggestion is that a gluten free beer would be nice and I didn't enjoy the lager.

I've been fortunate enough to order from the Real Al Company for 12+ years across a number of hospitality venues (pubs, breweries, restaurants) and they're always an absolute dream to work with. That's what's makes it so easy to return to on any next venture. A great range, not just cider, and always supporting small, new and the less easy to find. Crafty Apple is a mainstay for us. On top of that, just awesome people. Here's to another 12 years!

My husband and I hired The Real Al for our joint bday , the staff on the night were brilliant and the venue was absolutely perfect - great sound system and brilliant space for both indoor and outdoor mingling and dancing. All comms With Alice leading up to the event were so straightforward and accomodating. We had an absolute blast and so did our friends and family! Thank you again Real Al team .. it was epic !!! xx

I had my 40th birthday party here and it was amazing! Claire and Alice were really helpful with all the arrangements beforehand and made the night go so smoothly. Everyone had a great time, would definitely recommend for a private event.

Posting on behalf of Sybaritic Group Bars: An absolute delight to order through Real Al! The Crafty ciders range go down a treat with the customers, as do the broader range of interesting beers on offer!

We held our 50th party at The Real Al Company. It was awesome!! It’s such a fab venue, particularly when it’s warm and you can use the outside space to spill out and get those Ravenswood vibes. Al and Claire were super helpful in the lead up to the party - even with last minute requests for cables for laptops (sorry!). The team on the night were calm, professional and downright lovely to a tee. Go book your party there right now!

We had an awesome 50th party at The Real Al Company Tap Room. Amazing place to hire for somewhere with such a great atmosphere. Great set up for DJs and dancing. Really couldn’t have asked for anything more from the team there! Highly recommend

I’ve just had my 40th at The Real Al and it was SO much fun!!! Ish, Jake and team couldn’t have made it any easier to organise and the staff are all so friendly! They really did do everything to make it a success! The place was decked out with neon balloons by Ciara at Bloomin’ Nora which looked amazing with the style and colours of the venue! We started the evening drinking outside in the sun and catching up with pals and then danced AND DANCED the night away with AMAZING tunes from Jams Jam E17 (he does really great nights here!!!) The space is perfect for a big party!! Thanks you so much guys!!!!

Yelp
Nestled into the back of a largely empty lot and housed in a what appears to be an old warehouse, one might think that Wild Card won't have much going on and one would be flat wrong. We were fortunate enough to visit WC on the August Bank Holiday weekend and there was much fanfare, fuss and fabulous brews. Picnic tables dot the front of the brewery along with a street food stand. Jerk chicken and bhangra burgers were on the menu during our stay. Inside the brewery is a small bar with WC's three beer on tap. I recall tasting their ruby ale and the very hoppy IPA. The third choice escapes me. Kegs of guest beers from local breweries stood off to the side and a fridge with the bottled selection stood back behind the counter. My partner had a lovely hazelnut brown ale and I had an outstanding cardamom stout. Both were just the right amount of nut and spice. Fever Tree products for the non-drinker in our group seemed to satisfy. At dusk the interior lights were dimmed and out came many, many candles. Their glow made for a very intimate and cosy vibe. I enjoyed sitting and sipping while chatting with my seat mates. And from the looks of it, everyone else in the joint did, too! What I enjoyed most about Wild Card was that it seemed to be a place that attracted folk from all walks of life. There were young and old, hip and square, families and singles all enjoying a brew and a chin wag. I would recommend those beer lovers up in the N17 and N16 areas (and those keen on a taking a wee trek) to get on over to Wild Card. I hardly think one would be disappointed.
