I took my mom to lunch and felt like we stepped into New Orleans. The food was exceptional. My mom had the catfish basket. I have never seen a piece of catfish as large as the one they served. We both had sweet tea. I had the onion rings and they were amazing. The gumbo was awesome. The service is first class and the atmosphere is magical. I will definitely return next month when I'm in Marble Falls again.

My first time here and I will absolutely be back. Although they are known for the New Orleans style cooking, a friend recommended their burgers and I was really in the mood for a burger. The entrance to parking is a little tricky. There is another restaurant right next door and this is where you need to enter and the parking is in the back. They have full service sit down dining or you can take out. If you are dining in, they will take you to a table and a server will come and take your order. There were many items on the menu that sounded amazing, but I really wanted the burger. The burger looked amazing and it's easily a 1/4 pound burger patty and it comes with lettuce, pickles and tomato. The bun was soft and fresh and it came with a side of fries. Everything was hot and fresh and the first bite was delicious. It really is one of the best burgers I have had in the area. The meat was really delicious and cooked perfectly. The fries were crispy and hot and not overly greasy. The staff are amazing and super friendly. It's really nice when they bring you a drink refill without even asking. The burger was great so I can only imagine how good the rest of the food is. I will definitely be back to try some of their New Orleans style food.

Dined in for dinner. Crab cakes are spectacular, light and crispy on the outside with lots of crab meat. Grits are excellent, cooked till soft and served with a bit of butter. Blackened catfish is well spiced and tasty. I had the red beans and rice also and it was juicy and flavorful but not too spicy. Green beans have nice garlic flavor with some onions. Friendly service, the place was hopping on a Saturday night. Ended with the key lime pie. Highly recommended!!

If you live in, are visiting or are passing through Marvle Falls and love Cajun or seafood, thus place is for you. We are newish to living in the area and had the most wonderful dinner last night. The Cajun fries are CHEF'S KISS for sure! I will be hitting up that drive thru for an order of these fries for lunch when I am out and about. A half order as an appetizers was perfect for hubby and I. The Pontchartrain and Seafood Legier stuff our bellies and tantalized our tastebuds. I was so full I had to bring the generous helping of bread pudding that came with my Pontchartrain meal home, because there was no more room, but I will be indulging in that today! It is impossible to leave this place unsatisfied and with room to spare in your stomach. This is our new favorite restaurant and we will be back again and again and again. Highly recommend.

Just moved to the area and we love New Orleans so we definitely needed to try! Glad we did, food and service were so good! I got the crawfish etouffe and my husband got the red beans and rice! We will be back very soon!

The restaurant was busy upon arrival, we sat in the patio and socialized until our table was ready. The hostess was very kind and seated us promptly. We were checked on by multiple staff members and everyone was so friendly! We got great recommendations and the food was absolutely fantastic! The appetizers were absolutely amazing! The portion size for some are meant for one person but they tasted wonderful! The restrooms were also very clean and well maintained! The staff was apologetic about the wait time but we were taken care of fairly quickly! 10/10 all around!

Yelp
I already know just by the few minutes we have been here, this is going to be UH-MAZING!!! I will keep writing as I go along, but I've already got the stars ready... The fried craw tails were delish! The salad was fresh. Everything from the Cajun pasta to the catfish had sooooo much yummy flavor. I haven't had my tastebuds this wiggly in such a long time! We opted for dessert to take home. The slices of cheesecake were huge and super tasty. The bread pudding and chocolate cake... amazing. I love everything about this place. Oh! And the service was spectabulous!!!!!! For an appetizer, 4 meals, 4 drinks, and 3 desserts (the bread pudding came with my meal), the total was $115 with military discount.

Yelp
Bigger digs for The Real New Orleans Style Restaurant. This counts now three different locations I've dined at. Founded in Round Mountain, moved to Marble Falls off 1431. Now anchored firmly on 281 in a former burger restaurant. Seems fairly organized but getting started with a large group was a little slow. Drinks seemed to take forever but once we settled in service was fine. I started with the NOLA BBQ Shrimp. Not as refined as fellow restaurant titan Ruth's Chris but good bites. I did not have the Fried Chicken this visit but it should be on your short list for the best in Central Texas. They always warn you it's cooked to order so it takes more time. I instead opted for the lunch Pontchartrain with has Blackened Catfish, Red Beans and Rice, and Garlic bread. GF loved her Fried Chicken lunch too with amazing Cornbread. We literally took up 7 tables with just our group. I snuck some onion rings from another table! Not one diner had a complaint about the food they ordered. Seriously, some of the best Cajun food in the area. Gonna try to remember to dine here more often.

Yelp
My family and I were visiting for the Labor Day weekend and this restaurant was on our list; and it did not disappoint. Family owned restaurant of native Louisianans. Everyone was friendly from the hostess to the manager. The restaurant has pictures from New Orleans, Bible quotes, large New Orleans Style sign and a very heartfelt well just dedicated to the memory of this impacted by Hurricane Katrina and Rita. Now the food. Let just say yummy, delicious, um um um good. Appetizer: chargrilled oysters 10/10 Entrees: Red fish with rice and mixed veggies 10/10 Cajun pasta 10/10 Catfish with red beans and rice with sausage 10/10 Kids popcorn shrimp 10/10 Dessert: Key lime pie 8/10, only because I'm not a big fan but the lime was popping Bread pudding 10/10, my mom said she loved it Real food, made by a passionate family I will drive from Dallas just to eat a good meal and this restaurant is worth the drive.

Patty C.

Yelp
The place was nice and big. The servers were nice and the food came out pretty fast. Hands down the best, most tender catfish I've ever had in my life. Really really good!!!

John H.

Yelp
Felt like a good Home cooked meal and good sized portions Will definitely be returning The Manger made a appoint to check with us after our meal I will give them a 5 star rating

Yelp
We were passing through Marble Falls Texas. Not even hungry. But I had heard the story of the business owners from several sources. Also I saw the piece on Good Taste, with Tangy. When I saw her reaction after tasting the food, I knew I would travel back to Marble Falls one day, just to try The Real New Orleans restaurant! The food: let's start with impressive. I have not tasted food this good in a very very very long time! The fried chicken is perfectly seasoned, crispy and juicy! The red beans and rice, the best I have ever had (in a restaurant). The lobster mac and cheese, delicious! Its like no other mac and cheese, its very unique in a wonderful way. So we ordered takeout. the staff we encountered was patient, friendly and helpful! The place smelled wonderful!

Yelp
Listen, if you in marble falls and you don't eat here just head back home with your head low. With all the Cajun places from San Antonio to marble falls, this is one I know for sure is owned by people from New Orleans. The hostess graduated from the same high school as me back there(nunya bizness what year haha). So they authentic authentic. And the food speaks to that. So does the hospitality. It's pretty open inside with plenty of seating. There's also some outside. Getting into the parking is a little tricky if you miss the turn in, and the spaces are pretty tight, but none of it is unmanageable. Back to the food. The gumbo. THE GUMBO. I can't recommend it enough. This is straight from Louisiana. You can taste it. Even a cup was packed with shrimp, sausage, gizzard, chicken. Best I've had in Texas. And I've tried a lot. Hands down number 1. I ordered a southern fried chicken plate, a fish and shrimp lunch, chicken tenders for my son, and my son's mother had the pontchartrain. The fish and shrimp were fried to perfection. I think the chicken could have needed a grease change, but the pieces were large and fried perfectly. Very juicy. We actually had to send my son's chicken tenders back. They were rubbery and couldn't be chewed. I even tried. Don't know what happened there. But they swapped it out with a burger with no issues. My son's mother liked the pontchartrain as well. Oh, the red beans and rice was also on point. And the hush puppies. Sooooo good. I drove from San Antonio just to try them after I read their story about moving there after Katrina. I had to go support peeps from back home. And it was well worth the drive, and I will go back. I leave you with this. THE GUMBO!!!!

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 730 and were seated right away, but they were running pretty low on tables They have a wide variety of options, I decided to go for the deconstructed jambalaya. It came with shrimp, chicken, and sausage, all of which were tasty, but the sausage was my clear favorite. The sauce was surprisingly smokey, still quite good but not exactly what I expected. If you're a Cajun purist you may not be quite as into this place as we were. Their prices and portions were pretty reasonable. My friends both ordered a cup of gumbo before their entrees and had enough of their entrees left over for a small meal the next day. The service was friendly but a little on the slower side. Even taking into account the fact things are made fresh, they were clearly low on staff We overall had a really good experience and definitely recommend giving them a try if you find yourself in the marble falls area!

Rich A.

Yelp
I've been twice now and never going again. For a business open to the public the service is painful. Why do I feel like I'm bothering everyone when Im there. I thought the 1st time was a fluke, it wasn't. Sorry I ordered some food at your restaurant. Then the food is average at best for a premium price. Just not what I expect for what should be a decent restaurant. It's all good, they won't get any more of my money.

BL B.

Yelp
Wonderful for great Cajun meals! Staff is so friendly! Recently moved to another building decorated with true LSU Colors!

Ruth H.

Yelp
This is our second time to visit, and again our meal was amazing! We dropped in about 1:00 pm on Saturday and it was hard to find parking which is a good sign for a family owned restaurant. We had plans for dinner so we wanted to keep our lunch on the light side. My husband ordered a bowl of gumbo and I ordered their coconut shrimp. First let me just say I've NEVER had such tender favorable coconut shrimp, an my husband was blown away in the amount of seafood and sausage his gumbo had. The food is amazing but the service

Tom R.

Yelp
This has been the first time here after passing by it for years at their previous locations. That was a big mistake on my part as the food is sooooo good. Service was super friendly making one feel like family. Tried some of their Gumbo and whoa, so good came back same day for more at supper. Fish and shrimp plate was fantastic and came out of the kitchen piping hot. The flavor was spot on. Will be back as a chicken fried steak plate passed by on way too next table and it looked really really good. The inside is clean and decorated with pictures of family history with their church and home town of New Orleans.

Keri S.

Yelp
Marble Falls, small town, small dining choices. At the recommendation of family that live on the lake, we met for lunch at The Real New Orleans Style. The restaurant is a family run establishment and we love supporting that. The instantly greet you coming in the door and are so warm and friendly. We were seated quickly even with a larger party, so that was nice also. We got an abundance of things. Crab cakes, fried shrimp, Cajun pasta, potato salad, fried okra, and red beans and rice. Let me tell you, all were really good! Seasoned just right, full of flavor and came out piping hot. My only gripe, the sweet tea. Lord, it was sooooooo sweet, we had to order an unsweet tea to balance it out. Look forward to coming back and supporting this establishment. Good food and company is always good for the soul.

Laurie C.

Yelp
One word...AMAZING! We were driving through Marble Falls headed to Llano. Stopped in around 2:30 and the parking lot was still packed from the lunch crowd. I knew then we made a great choice for lunch! I got the shrimp and grits....the absolute best I've had in YEARS!

Dom D.

Yelp
The food and service were fantastic. If I had to pick the best place to eat in Marble falls it would be here. Fried chicken was delicious and so was the gumbo.

Colleen T.

Yelp
We stopped by on Christmas Eve because our family plans changed last minute and we needed to get to-go to feed a crowd. I was struggling to come up with what to order to please everyone and the man who helped me gave me some great suggestions for family-style items and was very patient and helpful. We tried a variety of things and everything was great! We will definitely be back.

Bryan A.

Yelp
Having lived in New Orleans this place is a 6.5 out of 10 . Red beans watery and some flavor after hot sauce. Entire watery with descent flavor and frozen shrimp. Maybe name should be "A New Orleans Style" . Waitress forgot spoon and attitude is blah. Not bad but not excited about working here.

Krystal S.

Yelp
Delicious! One of the best chicken fried steaks I've had. The breading was perfectly seasoned! I even was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the green beans were. Cooking them with onion takes them to the next level. Our server was such a delightful person and made several recommendations to us. There are several photos from past hurricanes located along the walls, I assume to honor the people who had to go through such a horrific time. We drove out here from Leander and wow was it worth the drive. This place doesn't disappoint. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to try the étouffée...my mother-in-law, who is from New Orleans, set an extremely high bar, so I'll have to try it sometime.

Scott S.

Yelp
Delicious Cajun food Friendly service Homegrown Louisianan approved (my wife from Pineville)

Nihilaa K.

Yelp
A quaint little place that reminds us of all things New Orleans. Went here on a Monday afternoon for lunch and it was packed ! Service was quick and food was delicious as expected ! The grilled chicken was cooked really well and the blackened taste was amazing ! It was served with rice and beans and tasted great! The crawfish etouffee was pretty authentic and the spicy Cajun sauce can be used to make it a bit more spicy if needed . The bread pudding was a bit too sweet for us but still tasted amazing . Must visit if you are around the marble falls area.

Ale A.

Yelp
We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! The Cajun Pasta and the Crawfish Pasta were incredible. We can't wait to come back for more. Highly recommend!

Susan T.

Yelp
We went 2 days in a row & ordered 12 items off the menu (total). Nothing, and I mean nothing, wasn't great. Next time we are in town, we're definitely stopping!!

Jerry F.

Yelp
We have ate at the restaurant several times and the food is always outstanding. Today I had the fried chicken, easily the best fried chicken thst I have had. The service was as great as always.

Lisa H.

Yelp
Our waitress Kitty knew what she was talking about when she said the shrimp dnd grits were good! Shes from New Orleans and knows what it's about. This restaurant gets it all right--the flavors, the atmosphere, the portions. Even the creamy potato salad pleased my husband--and he doesn't usually like potato salad! The crawfish étouffée had an excellent roux, lovely seasoning--tastes like New Orleans. The shrimp and grits had succulent shrimp with just the right pop, jalapeños and peppers and a perfect sauce. The grits were creamy and cooked perfectly. We will definitely drive an hour from our home near Florence Texas to come back for the authentic taste of New Orleans!

Greg W.

Yelp
Was a customer at their old location and got to enjoy the food again this weekend at the new location. However a few things need help. 1. Parking is behind the restaurant and at night the lot is not lighted. 2. Did not see any directions to the main entrance and instead walked around the front of the building to find entrance on the side. 3. Wait time was quite long. 4. Please switch to real butter for the toast as the taste of some type of oily spread made eating the toast impossible after the first bite. Thank you

Peyton G.

Yelp
It's always a special treat when I get to eat here. The food is absolutely delicious. I love to get the crawfish etouffee or the shrimp and grits. A family member of mine loves to get the fried chicken, and says it's the best chicken in town. Brought some friends from out of town and they loved the food here as well.

Art B.

Yelp
The food and service never disappoints- always the best in real New Orleans food Try it and see !

R P.

Yelp
New Orleans closes at 8pm on Monday and Tuesday. Marble Falls is not the city that never Sleeps.

Jeannine R.

Yelp
Delicious! After visiting NOLA less than 6 months ago, this hit the spot in Texas! Read their story... They came from NOLA!

Marcos R.

Yelp
The food was phenomenal! We had the loaded French fries and it definitely didn't disappoint. By far the best Cajun seafood place in marble falls! The service was excellent and extremely friendly. The ambiance is perfect for the restaurants environment.

Kate Z.

Yelp
Super delicious comfort food!! Butter flavors everything here :) Get the shrimp and grits or catfish!! Service is friendly and the restaurant has a lot of history to it.

Christy P.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food here, but service is definitely lacking a bit. We tried the red beans and rice with sausage, a fried shrimp and oyster poboy, and a side of mac and cheese. The red beans and rice said it came with garlic bread and green beans, but I got cornbread instead, which was a bit dry and disappointing. The green beans were really tasty--very buttery. The sausage was crisped nicely, and the red beans were perfectly cooked. I tried the poboy and the fried seafood was great and the tartar sauce had a good dill flavor. The fries were nice and crispy. The mac and cheese was fine but nothing to write home about. We ordered the bread pudding to-go and didn't receive it, and since we were waiting to close out for a while, we didn't want to wait around for it, so that was a letdown. I would definitely come back for the food but I'd expect slow service on a Saturday evening.

Angela S.

Yelp
This place has Great food , nice size portions, friendly staff. Not much else to say.

Donella K.

Yelp
took friends from New Orleans - they loved it; such nice staff and helpful on ordering - answering questions. Food was fresh and good - every dish a Winner - we go every time we drive thru to Hill Country.

Jo I.

Yelp
The restaurant has moved to Hwy 281 in Marble Falls, next to Wingman BBQ. We had dinner there yesterday, it was my first visit and we were told order the Southern Fried Chicken, we did and it was delicious. We had so much chicken we had to take it home and heated it up the next day in the Air Fryer. They are very busy and no reservations, we went at 5:30pm and they were already filling up. They are open M-Sat 10:30 - 9pm, closed on Sunday. note: Ice Tea is great and they have the best crushed ice.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Outstanding food and very friendly. Definitely coming back...especially for hush puppies and cornbread

Sean C.

Yelp
Who orders the ribs at a Cajun Restaurant? Ok... this guy. They were the special of the day (on the sign and everything) so my non-seafood eating kiddo and I split a full rack of the Baby Back Ribs. They. We're. Delicious. I little bit too much sauce for my taste... but that's not picking. There was also a Shrimp PoBoy, Catfish Platter and Cobb salad along with onion rings. All delicious and no complaints. The service was awesome and the waitress (Christie?) was really fun and kept the table smiling and comfortable.

Jacq M.

Yelp
This place rules! Never had a bad meal. Try the loaded crawfish fries! It's all good! Great service! N.O. Ambiance! Update: I was going into town and saw the For Lease sign on the restaurant! No!!!! Turns out they are just moving to a bigger and better location and will still be in Marble Falls! Yes!

Ellen S.

Yelp
Me and my party of 4 enjoyed the gumbo, fried crawfish, shrimp and grits, and the double chocolate cake. The staff were very efficient, friendly, and helpful. The food came out quickly.

Les F.

Yelp
Their food, like their name is original. Don't be surprised to find a wing segment, complete with none in your delicious gumbo. Just pick it up between your thumb and finger and get after that tender, tasty morsels. Their the is TOP drawer so the flavor combination is Devine. My wife's go-to is their Mac n Cheese with crawfish bites. It IS great. You can enjoy every staff member' wide, happy smile. The food is ALL delicious and the staff members all warm & welcoming. If you're within 60 miles you'll find this delightful restaurant a return-to spot, worth the drive. the ambiance is cozy with some kool pictures on the wall. Hmmm. Getting hungry just thinking anout it. See you there!

Chris G.

Yelp
I forgot the loaded fries, yes, please twice. They are the bomb. I have the other food and its incredible too! I love this place.

David S.

Yelp
Drive up from Canyon Lake as much as we can for this outstanding food. We've eaten everything on the menu, and every time we come, the service is fantastic they treat you like family, and the food, especially the loaded Cajun fries, are the bomb! Today was a shrimp and catfish day along with, of course, the loaded Cajun fries, and all was delicious. The story of how and why they came to Marble Falls hangs on the walls, and any of them will share the story with you. The LSU colors brighten it up. I tell them my LSU daughter in law is going to love this place. Crawdads are always her birthday food in April. Don't take my word, but I tell everyone to come and eat here all these reviews back it

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Stopped here after eclipse chasing. Love the food and the service was attentive. Everything we ate was well done and overall dang good comfort food. Thanks. The place was packed.

Ruby L.

Yelp
The Real New Orleans Style Restaurant is spot on for flavor, presentation and portions! Our server, Marya, was superb! This restaurant did not disappoint! We have been wanting to come here for a while but never made it this way. So glad we've finally made it! We are originally from MS. We used to go to NOLA often for the food and Mardis Gras. Being in Texas, it's hard to find good Cajun cooking. This restaurant will be our new place for down home Cajun cooking! We had the Crawfish Macaroni, Seafood Gumbo, and Coconut Shrimp as appetizers. For the entrees, we had the Seafood Legier- Shrimp and Fish over a bed of white rice completely covered with Crawfish Etouffee with a side of green beans. Pontchartrain- Blackened Fish and Smoked Sausage served with Red beans and Rice. Side of mashed sweet potatoes and a side Bread Pudding(so good). We thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Can't wait to come back!!

Joe L.

Yelp
Bottom line...some of the BEST Cajun food outside of New Orleans can be found at The Real New Orleans Style Restaurant. Not my first visit here and while I was pondering the menu my waitress Yatta recommended the Seafood Legler and I added a cup of their Red Beans & Rice. This dish is a bed of white rice, a slab of blackened catfish, some blackened shrimp, and crawfish etouffee over the top of it all. As they say in NOLA...this dish is "Slap Yo Momma" good. Every time I dine here the food is incredible and the service first rate!

Monte T.

Yelp
This was the best creole food I have ever had. Every dish was seasoned perfectly. The shrimp and grits was perfect. The fried chicken was like my grandmother cooked it. There was not anything I didn't like. I would definitely go there again.

Don H.

Yelp
Not only do they have an incredible story to tell but they have the soul of New Orleans in their cooking! We eat here once each year when we stay at Lake LBJ. The food is amazing!

Courtney L.

Yelp
As a native Louisiana girl, I've been searching for good Cajun food in the greater Austin area since moving here 4 years ago. This place is it. Lots of flavors. I'll be back here the next time I need my Cajun kick.

Bob M.

Yelp
I just had the BEST MEAL of my life here!! Charbroiled Oysters; flame broiled with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. All profits go to their church. This place is 1 hour from Cedar Park, an Austin suburb. Carole had their fried catfish and she said it was the best she has ever had.
