We liked the sound of the menu(one of us is vegetarian) online so we booked a table on a Friday night and enjoyed it so much we book for the Sunday roast a few days after.
All dishes tasted amazing and we both had red wine which tasted great and had a good temp.
The vegetarian dish was well thought out and had many flavours and textures.
The Sunday roast was one of the best we had so far, every element tasted great.
The deserts were amazing the apple, black berry crumble tart with apple sorbet and french custard. The fruit still had bit the pastry was wafer thin, no soggy bottoms here, the sorbet smooth and full of flavour. An English classic re dreamed.
The service was very friendly, if a bit slow at times.
The food is amazing, fine dining meets pub delights, very relaxed and none pretentious. Worth the trip if you on the Isle!
