Went to the Red Room Museum on January 9th for their showing of Mars Attacks! It was an awesome experience. The folks running the event were super friendly, the vibe was relaxed and fun. Just the right amount of silliness and talking during the movie - I had a great time. I especially loved the curated footage and slide show prior to the movie starting - I would love to somehow get a copy of all that artwork! Anyway - really loved it and can't wait for the next one.

The best diy event venue in sac! So many interesting artists and events have come through here, I absolutely adore this place! It really brings a sense of community to Sacramento 🖤🫶

Paid extra to sit in the risers expecting to get a better view of the stage. The lawn seating has a superior view of the stage. Our riser seats had 2 rows of chairs, so we had to move a lot to see past the heads of the people in front of us. It was a mediocre experience. I would sit on the grass, pay less and see more.

It's a fun place to go and listen to great music buy local and traveling bands who are trying to make it in the music scene. We enjoy listening to original music by artist who are still at the grassroots stage of their career.

Great 'Underground' music venue+ Smallish space. Bring earplugs if comming to hear music. Big backyard to get some air or smoke, or just meet random people.

It's a great DIY venue for a musical group to play and an art exhibition, located near other art platforms.

Yelp
No Better Way To Bring In The All Hallow's Eve Season SITREP As a venue, The Red Museum is off-the-beaten-path, and that's a GOOD thing for those in the know. Like Witches & Warlocks keeping a separate presence in the Dark (and not-so-Dark) Arts, it's nice to be free of the muggles. THE SETUP Located at 212 15th Street, The Red Museum is essentially a wondrously airy & large warehouse for the Artistic & Musically minded to come and commiserate & revel in the beauty of their creative muses. As an heir apparent to "Art Hotel" and "Art Street", two other wonderful expansions of the Sacramento art-movement - though sadly they were only temporary - The Red Museum is a FIXED structure and will (probably) remain so for some time. THE FUN! The Red Museum sets up innovative music and art events from it's Facebook page that direct participants to exhibitions - either as muses or spectators - and to enjoy the freedom of expression without too much inhibition. NOSFERATU This past Sunday night was another movie-installation into the vintage realm, and it was quite appropriately scary for the Halloween season - the Big Bad Golden Oldie of Scary Vampire Flicks: NOSFERATU! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-red-museum-sacramento-2?select=6LlcpdgwvS8mfQkOfxrKPw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w Being from the silent film era, there was the additional treat the talented electronica group VENETIAN VEIL actually provided a *Live* soundtrack for the movie as it was being shown. SO-GOOD. DJ LADY GREY At her invitation, I have to give my friend Kylie J. (aka DJ Lady Grey) credit for putting The Red Museum on "my radar" in the first place - she is one of the moving spirits behind this fun, artistic endeavor! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-red-museum-sacramento-2?select=sPysD_e0lWLtSrCbVvJC5A&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w The funny thing is, she is often spinning vinyl records that are OLDER than she is! But it's a joy seeing such young talented muses keeping the energy alive in the local music & art scene! P-A-T-I-O The Red Museum also has an exceptionally large patio for awesome outdoor art installations & exhibitions when the timing is right. For now, the museum docents are adding some exceptional wall and patio art that is wonderful to behold. Truly a work in progress, unfolding before our eyes! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-red-museum-sacramento-2?select=y1ZaAWql8PSTOwfP7yQWXg&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE LOWDOWN Keep your eye out for events & exhibitions @ The Red Museum!
