"The Red Parrot is a good place to grab a bite while out and about in the middle of the day. They don’t take reservations, but ask for a window seat at the busiest corner in town, where you might see frustrated drivers in Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, and Mazaratis stuck between tipsy pedestrians navigating the crosswalk. The dim interior of this kid-friendly restaurant is lively, with a breeze wafting through open windows that overlook Thames Street and the wharf beyond. Almost every dish on the extensive menu is solid, but order anything that includes lobster—specifically the nachos and the ravioli. Other favorites include crab cakes, Jamaican and jerk chicken, coconut shrimp, and all the sandwiches and wraps." - danielle rose

Nice place to have dinner or lunch with friends or family. I’m new in town and stumbled across this place on an empty stomach. They did not disappoint! I was seated next to the window so I got to look out and watch the sunset 😊

Google
Mostly good. No duck for my rubber ducky drink (only reason I ordered it) but she did offer to replace it if I wanted. Huge portion for the fish and chips, and the fish awesome quality- it just needed to be cooked a little longer and have the grease drained. Couldn’t eat the fries because they were saturated in oil. The lobster rangoons were exceptional. My husbands wings were good.

I had the Lobster and Seafood Alfredo, and it was delicious overall, but the lobster was a bit chewy. My family tried the Lobster Bisque, which had great flavor, though it could have been served hotter. The food quality was good, but the service was where things fell short. Our waiter was slow to attend to us—delays with bringing the food, checking in, and even getting the bill. We ended up asking another server for help a couple of times just to get water or answers to quick questions. While the food was enjoyable, the service could definitely be improved. Great atmosphere and would recommend.

Amazing place. We loved the atmosphere and the food! They had a ton of gluten free options (mac&cheese, sandwiches, burgers, pizza…). We ordered pasta with lobster and a lobster/shrimp appetizer and it was just perfect. Incredibly delicious and great portions.

Google
Highly recommend for those who love sea food! We loved clam chowder, chicken avocado wrap and thai rice with the prawn. Regan the waitress was super friendly and she served us quickly. Place was little crowd. But food was amazing. Go to place in Newport!

Google
No complaints about this place . Food was good , service was excellent, menu was diverse without being overwhelming and the atmosphere was lovely but not too loud. I was would return and recommend to others. Lobster nachos were delicious and massive meant to be shared for sure. Lobsta BLT was more lobster than Bacon and is more of a lobsta salad so if you're a warm lobster kind of person go for the roll instead of the BLT. Drinks were also really good frozen and on the rocks. Parking in this area is a bit of a nightmare. Some places only took cash and depending on the day parking ranges from $10 to $20

We ended up at this restaurant while visiting Rhode Island because they had lobster nachos and it sounded intriguing. The restaurant was fairly busy on a Saturday afternoon but we sat at the bar and had couple of drinks and ordered lobster nachos. The portion of the nachos is hugeee, we couldn’t finish it but it tasted delicious. The drinks were spot on. Definitely visiting again in Rhode Island.

My mom has been coming to The Red Parrot since ‘96/97, and we just love it here. Definitely recommend the Lobster Mac Fries (served 3 people), Coconut Shrimp, and Banana Francesca (served 3 people) The frozen drinks are phenomenal. And the food never disappoints. The servers are great, and the service is fast and on point.

Yelp
Four of us went to the Red Parrot for dinner last night. It wasn't my first visit, and as usual, it didn't disappoint! The service was good despite the food coming out slow, but they kept checking in and let us know it was on its way. The food is just excellent. We started with the lobster quesadillas as an app and it was really loaded up with meat, the clam chowder was also a big hit. I had a blackened salmon on top of a mixed green salad that was one of the best prepared pieces of fish I've had in quite awhile! My husband had the mussels in white wine pasta dish, also a 10. Pictures of these two dishes attached. The other two orders at our table were lobster tacos and the tuna bowl, both were prepared fabulously. Overall we were super happy and looking forward to coming back to this great Newport tradition!

Yelp
Red Parrot is always a must top for me while in Newport. It is usually where I have lunch each time I am in town. The Strawberry Balsamic dressing alone is something I look forward to, so I always get a side salad. We stared our meal with the Thai Spring rolls, which were ok but nothing special. Honestly tasted like any frozen spring roll you would buy. Then we ordered the Calamari Caesar Salad and the Mussel Soup. The salad was a large portion with crispy calamari. The Mussel soup was a very generous portion of mussels, clams and shrimp in a tomato broth. This was very flavorful and had a ton of seafood. The restaurant is large as is the menu, but it is a Newport staple. I would recommend trying this on your next trip.

Yelp
One of the best and most renowned family-owned and operated restaurants in Newport, RI, the Red Parrot stands tall at the heart of Thames Street and Memorial BLVD. Its iconic three-story, red-brick building is as much a part of Newport's history as the restaurant itself. The moment you step inside, you're welcomed by staff who truly care about your experience. Whether it's the owners, the general manager, or the bartenders, servers, and bussers, everyone is dedicated to providing exceptional service. The chefs & owners have thoughtfully curated dishes that ensure a memorable dining experience. When you visit Newport, the Red Parrot is a must-stop for delicious food and genuine hospitality. Side note: award winning clam chowder & mind blowing food that will have you returning for more. Humble brag boost for working here Thank you, Russell & Esther

Yelp
my group of 4 and I are from out of town and we were excited to get some seafood while visiting Newport. This restaurant stood out because it came up as a really popular and more budget friendly option in our search online. we came around 3pm and were immediately seated on the second floor. the restaurant is three floors and it was pretty full so we were looking forward to a great experience. the wait staff was friendly and attentive however unfortunately the food was very subpar. i ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi and it was extremely bland- the scallops and shrimps were not seasoned whatsoever and the sauce was also very bland- i had to add extra salt to it to try to add some semblance of flavor profile. you can see in the photo i included that the shrimps and scallops look as though they were boiled and not seasoned at all. my friends who ordered the coconut shrimp wrap and lobster roll were also very disappointed with their meals, saying they were very dry and also unseasoned. my friend who ordered the mussels and clams said the seafood didn't taste very fresh. the lobster bisque was very lacking in actual lobster. the calamari was probably the best thing we had- it was your average fried calamari but compared to the other dishes, it was well seasoned. we were really looking forward to this meal during our visit so it's really unfortunate that it ended up being a subpar experience.

Yelp
Finally back after 2 years! Very busy on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. Our bartender was great, but what's even greater was the food. Steamers were delicious, lots of garlic and onions in white wine. $38.95 for 2.5 lbs. BF had the jerk chicken, spicy and good. And I had the all time favorite, swordfish mediterranean and OMG! Fresh, buttery, perfectly seasoned, with shrimp and scallops, huge portion for $35, it was so worth it, this is the 3rd time I've had this dish and it's worth the 2.5 hours drive every time!

Yelp
My husband and I have eaten here numerous times through the years, and every time has been a positive experience. This large, spacious restaurant boasts three floors of seating with a bar on the first floor as well as the second floor. Our server, Ryan E, made knowledgeable suggestions based on our dietary preferences. My husband had ribs. He said they fell off the bone and were full of flavor. I had mahi with jasmine rice, capers, olives, and diced tomatoes. It was also flavorful! We both finished our plates and left there pleasantly full. Great spot for drinks and food, and accommodating for larger groups as well!

Yelp
Revisited this restaurant for the first time in many years this past week. It's a solid spot in Newport - not my favorite restaurant but certainly not the worst either! They have an incredibly large, 3 floor dining area that gives you plenty of space to spread out with large groups. We came in the middle of a Monday and it was still very busy, but they were still able to seat us immediately on the second floor near a window with a nice view. If you think the dining rooms are large, wait until you see this Cheesecake Factory-esque sized menu. Obscenely large and undoubtedly wasteful unless they are freezing all of their ingredients. Our server was great (and very handsome to be HONEST) and was hustling around the second floor like he was Jack Bauer in 24. (He was probably busy memorizing 24 menu pages and serving 24 tables [and serving face]) The fig & goat cheese flatbread was covvvvered in goat cheese which I love to see. great proportions of ingredients and my favorite of the day. The lobster roll was surprisingly not my favorite of the day! I don't know what it was about it, and I still ate the entire thing, but I've had better elsewhere. There was also only one little piece of claw meat in there and that is my favorite part. I did really enjoy the lobster Rangoons though oddly enough. Sadly I only had 2 and I was trying to ingest as much lobster as possible while on the east coast Coconut shrimp was great as well. And the oysters!! I almost forgot how fresh and salty they are in this area. I will be missing them until I return.

Yelp
This restaurant menu is extremely long, so make sure that you look at the menu before you go and maybe some pictures of the food to get a better idea of what you want. Even though there were a lot of people inside the service was really great and we didn't have to wait too long for a table of three. We tried the mahi-mahi tacos, lobster burger, and also the lobster nachos. Both tacos had extremely fresh homemade Crema came with little limes and all the avocados tasted really nice. The lobster burger had a decent amount of lobster and the burger was cooked to a temperature, medium rare and tasted great with the lettuce and tomato. There was no sauce on the burger so you can put ketchup. The sweet potato fries weren't the best fries, but the chips and salsa that came with the tacos were really great. The lobster meat was pretty decent. It wasn't mixed with too many things and it tasted pretty fresh. I'm not sure if it was cash of the day or if it had been been sitting for a little, but it was overall good. For dessert, we had the ice cream nachos and this was gigantic enough for three people.

Yelp
As locals, we've long enjoyed this popular spot in the heart of Newport. Trying to beat the summer rush, we stopped in on a mid-week spring evening to find the place booming & busier than we expected. No worries, though, as we were seated immediately at a lovely table by the window. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere remained comfortable , and the service was friendly, quick, and efficient. We love seafood, and since it's always done well, it remains our favorite choice here. This evening was no exception, and we decided on sharing the Lobster & Seafood Alfredo and the Swordfish Mediterranean. What a perfect pair! One was rich & decadent while the other was light and fresh with a lemony broth of capers & tomatoes. Both were absolutely delicious - expertly prepared, and the seafood was plentiful and delicious. The pasta dish contained several lage scallops and shrimp and was absolutely loaded, chock full of fresh lobster chunks. For the swordfish, we requested forgoing the rice for all vegetables which was happily accomodated. The huge portion of fresh asparagus was a perfect accomapiement. Several large shrimp & scallops provided a lovely cherry on top. Thanks for another wonderful meal! We look forward to returning with our summer guests!

Yelp
Amazing meal! The swordfish special was HUGE. Drinks were strong. Ambiance was nice. Waiter was personable. Would come back in a heart beat

Sean S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. The food was wonderful except for the lobster tacos which were really not good. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was amazing. I would definitely recommend this spot

Yelp
I was on my way to Fall River, MA and because I've been here before and not knowing any good restaurant in Fall River, decided to have lunch here. Our pasts visits were great. The last one, back in October was too. Today I wanted something light to avoid a heavy digestion while driving back to NY that would make me sleepy. I ordered a Coconut shrimp salad. Greens and dressing were good. I hated the shrimp. It was listed on their menu as Jumbo. Well, perhaps they were talking about jumbo included the batter because the shrimp inside was anything but jumbo, it was really small. It also lacked flavor, it was not fresh, I am sure it was frozen and it was dried. Salad came with 3 shrimps. I removed the batter to see the size of the shrimp. See pictures. What a disappointment. Staff were nice. Ambiance is nice too. But I think it is time to try another place.

Yelp
On my last trip to Newport, I visited the Red Parrot and had an amazing meal, so I knew that when I returned, I would plan to go back. I'm so glad that I did because I had a fantastic meal! I had the lobster tacos which had sweet, succulent lobster practically falling out of each tortilla. That's definitely a good problem to have! The siracha sauce that topped each taco was divine and I was so glad that the tortilla was a decent size. My dining partner had the chicken quesadillas packed with spicy and tender chicken. Both entrees were so filling that we did not make it to dessert! I can't wait to return to Red Parrot the next time I am in Newport.

Monica L.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner at The Red Parrot when we were in Newport. I tried the highly rated lobster nachos and thought they were great, maybe not quite as amazing as the reviews led me to expect, but very good.

Nicole H.

Yelp
I had an excellent dining experience at The Red Parrot! Ordered a lobster roll, warm with butter. I picked asparagus as my side. The roll was stuffed with big chunks of lobster. They gave the perfect amount of butter. I poured it all over my lobster, yummm! It was tasty and delicious! Staff is professional and friendly. Place is clean and organized. The drinks are also very well made. I had a refreshing Paloma drink. This place is huge and there's lots and lots of seating. We were seated with a window view of the busy touristy street it's on. So you eat and can enjoy the views! I didn't have room for dessert but the ice cream nachos and key lime pie looked awesome. I had such a great experience at The Red Parrot I am going back today for the Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque! This restaurant is amazing!

Amy V.

Yelp
Food was delicious, fresh and service was quick. Restaurant was very inviting. The drink menu is extensive. Loved our visit.

Katie C.

Yelp
I had heard a lot about this place before coming to Newport, RI. The menu has a large variety of options to chose from and honestly it was hard to narrow it down The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and cute. There were white lights hanging in the window and the inside was beautiful. I sat at a small table next to the window and really loved the vibe. I ordered the blended Swedish fish beverage and thought the presentation was pretty neat! The drinks were big and had the perfect balance of alcohol. Prepare to spend about $15 a drink though. The clams caught me a little off guard because they had the siphon attached. I wouldn't recommend eating it unless you have a taste for that texture. The waitress was amazing and brought some melted butter in addition to the white wine and garlic dip. The steak was cooked PERFECTLY and the lobster was tender/sweet. The green beans were slightly mushy but the entire dish was savory. Definitely excited that I was able to get a chance to try this place out and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Anatoli L.

Yelp
We visited the restaurant for dinner, were happy to be seated right away as the restaurant doesn't take reservations. There is a large list of creative drinks, all sounding like a sugar overload, so I went just with Guinness. As an appetizer we shared calamari that were served with hot peppers (delicious) and fig and goat cheese tart, which was also delicious. My main dish was fish and chips and this probably was the best version ever, as cod was very lightly breaded - also the tartar sauce was excellent, and so were fries and the coleslaw. My wife had seared cod that was served with clams and shrimp, which was also superb. Excellent service - prompt, friendly, attentive. Warning: large portion size. I'm not kidding - they are large. None of us were able to finish our meals - but this is not a bad thing, isn't it :) Definitely recommended

Rosanna B.

Yelp
Amazing food and drinks and a fun ambiance! The service was good once we sat at the bar but the hostess was rude and said there were no seats even though we could see the bar had open seats and she wasn't rude to everyone so I'm not sure why she was so rude towards me. Nonetheless, besides her and her rudeness, the service and food were amazing! Bar tender was amazing and even though he as running the show alone, he was fast, helpful and made delicious drinks! Might come back after the summer crowds die down. Sicilian penne pasta was amazing and so was the jerk chicken quesadilla! My husband had the lobster and seafood pasta and he was very pleased with it!

Britt D.

Yelp
We really wanted to love this place after hearing such great reviews. Unfortunately, service was extremely slow, which didn't bother us because we understand being understaffed. Sadly though, our waiter just kind of abandoned us. We ended up giving back one of our dishes because it was not good. Thankfully they took it off the bill because it wasn't hardly eaten. The pizza we got was about a 3.5/5. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing, because people seem to absolutely rave about this place. Will love to give them another chance on our next visit. Unfortunately this time was just not it.

Yelp
I visited the Newport area while on a trip to Providence for work. While walking around, I saw the Red Parrot and figured I would give it a shot. Upon walking in the door, it had a very nice atmosphere. A lot of wood and accents that fit all the nautical elements in Newport. Upon being seated, I was greeted by a very kind server. I asked her what her favorite dish is and she suggested the Lobster and Shrimp Pasta. I decided to trust her advice and was well rewarded. There was a large amount of Lobster and Shrimp in the dish. The creamy pink sauce had a slight bit of heat from the peppers used. And the flavor was just amazing. Overall, I truly hope I get to go back to this restaurant. There were a bunch of dishes on the menu I would love to try.

Tammy L.

Yelp
I went here for the Lobster BLT. The server was beyond nice and patient, which was needed because I was not happy. The sandwich was the market price of $31. I am not sure what I was served. The lobster was this pink reddish color (not the usual color) and while there were some pieces I could identify but then there was other meat that resembled ground meat. I refused to eat it and anything there:

Kimberley L.

Yelp
Always a go to place in Newport Great drinks. Love the food. Great atmosphere. Not too loud. Accommodates large groups with excellent service. No reservations. No parking. Still worth it

Melissa C.

Yelp
This restaurant is much bigger than it appears- nice street view with open windows on the bottom floor and the top floor with some glimpses of the water. Food was decent/ average. Service was good. Menu had a wide selection of food and drinks, especially seafood options. Cocktail menu also provided variety.

C C.

Yelp
Very convenient location on the street across from the wharf. Three floors of seating and an extensive menu of good choices. The waitstaff are well trained on the menu and extremely professional in presenting. Love that. We ordered French Onion Soup to start. It was really good. Not too salty. For dinner the mahi fish tacos and filet mignon were a great choice! We like ours cooked rare and there was a good sear on all 4 sides. Perfect. The fish tacos are 3 and equally yummy. I had to take mine home along with a wedge of peanut butter pie and a key line pie for the both of us. Really good place to eat.

Jani M.

Yelp
This was such a nice place to get a bite to eat in Newport. We were seated right away; the service was excellent. The food was delicious. I enjoyed my lobster quesadilla. I also got a clam chowder that I forgot to get a picture of. It was perfect; my niece loved it. I would go back to try different menu items. It was pretty dark in the restaurant, but it made for a nice ambiance.

Vivian L.

Yelp
Decent meal on my first day in rainy Newport and located on the bustling main streets where all the shops and restaurants/cafes are. Luckily, parking was free around the area (only until 4/30, assuming it's off-season when I went last week). The restaurant itself is small, and overall clean. You could tell that the waitress and waiters were in charge of multiple tables as it took a while for the water to come to our table and then we had to wait a little bit to order and get the food. Lobster bisque 7/10 - it was not as flavorful as others I've had, but it was creamy, and I liked the croutons on it to give a little texture. Mahi 8/10 - I really liked the sauce that came with the fish - there were olives and capers for a salty addition that worked well with the fish, tomato, and spinach. The rice was nicely cooked, and the asparagus were crunchy and not mushy. Calamari pizza 6.5/10 - a lot of calamari, but the pizza itself was very thin and not crunchy.

Emily S.

Yelp
Ambiance and food was fine, our waiter was fine and attentive. However, while celebrating the first night of a bachelorette weekend we saw two mice scurrying around the restaurant on their 3rd floor right near our table. I spoke to two servers about it and there was no real reassurance about anything being done about it. I'm not ignorant to the fact restaurants inevitably sometimes have bugs/mice but the manager didn't even apologize or say anything to our party. I finally spoke to the manager as we were leaving and paid and basically she said "I hear you" and said she'd be closed the following day-which was not true. Just seemed like they didn't attempt to even get them out of sight, which leads me to believe it's a common occurrence.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Was in the area for a quick visit and decided to stop at the first place we saw for a drink and app. So happy with our choice - lots of beers on tap and a HUGE MENU. We got the lobster fries and they were DELICIOUS!!! We had great service at the bar! Would go back just for those fries and a cold beer on a hot day!

Steve S.

Yelp
Wow! All I can say is wow! I went here with my friends who were just married a few hours earlier. They took me Out to dinner since I photographed their wedding. The food was unbelievable. We started off with the fried calamari, lobster and shrimp rangoons, and clam chowder. I had a couple of frozen margaritas. Then came dinner. I decided to be a fat guy tonight and went with the 12oz strip steak stuffed with lobster. A side of mashed potatoes, and asparagus. By the time I was done will all of that I had no room for dessert Service was great, they were attentive, made sure we had what we needed. It's a beautiful restaurant with three floors. I will definitely be back again. I need to try some of their other dish's.

Suzanne L.

Yelp
The food was wonderful and we enjoyed the ambience. For most of the dinner service was great. When we were waiting for our check it took about 15 minutes. Other than that all good.

Bill S.

Yelp
Its always a crap shoot walking into a restaurant without a reservation. My buddy and I walked in off the street and were seated at a table promptly. It's nice because we're all staying at a hotel which is walking distance. The restaurant has a nautical theme, lots of wood to remind you this is Newport RI. We ordered a few cocktails, they were fun but not too strong. Starting off with calamari, I love the Rhode Island style with cherry peppers. It brings a little heat to the dish which I always enjoy. My main entree was Surf & Turf. It was pretty good, a petite filet topped with lobster. Everything was cooked perfectly, the lobster was pieces and not an entire lobster. Our waitress was very attentive, she made sure all our needs were met while we dined. For dessert, it's the second time I had Key Lime Pie in Newport. The Red Parrot makes a killer KLP! I'd recommend The Red Parrot Restaurant, it was a fun spot with good food.

Tata G.

Yelp
Enjoy our dining experience here. Lots of good selection, servings are large & prices are reasonable. Came on a weekday and there was significant wait for our food. our waiter was nice, kept updating us & even gave us chips for free while we are waiting. We ordered ribs, very tasty and tender. my friends seafood pasta alfredo was also a winner. Lots of seafood in it. The portions are good for sharing. We even took some leftovers for the next day. No parking on site, only street parking which is hard to find. Theres a parking garage nearby for a fee. We are only visiting newport but we would come back and eat at to this place again!

John K.

Yelp
Food was HORRIBLE. I had the Lobster bisque and Linguini w/clams. Lobster bisque is literally melted butter orange dye. Linguini w/clams is bathed in oil and so greasy. The place has 3 floors of order they have to fill on time (wait was not too long) and it's no wonder why the food sucks. I imagining food being kept in a ziplock bag and being just reheated or refried....It's hard to believe that foods are being cooked legit fresh with the amount of eaters at the restaurant. 2 stars b/c service was okay; she tried her best, but damn, the food really sucked.

Becci S.

Yelp
The food was decent. But the service was a bit slow. The ambiance was pretty good. Very cute decor with Christmas lights everywhere. Long periods of time without the server checking in.

Laney L.

Yelp
Top notch! Our first trip to RI from Ohio. This place was fantastic! The lobster nachos were absolutely delicious! Menu description notes: Sweet lobster meat sautéed in butter and garlic with sun dried tomato cream, baked mozzarella and Monterey Jack melted over tortilla chips and topped with scallions. They did not disappoint with a heaping pile of nachos plenty for five adults. A generous amount of fresh lobster chunks throughout the layers of gooey cheese, tomato cream sauce, and scallions were ohhh sooo good! Our server was great and very nice. We definitely want to go back!

Alisa G.

Yelp
I can not remember my waitress's name but she was absolutely amazing. My father and I have a few questions on the menu and she answered them all. I wanted a lobster roll without the mayo and she gave us the hook up. We sat on the second floor near the window, with a view of the wharf. Looking forward to going back again.

Maggie L.

Yelp
Always my favorite place to go to when in Newport. Our last trip included the parrot punch which was a rum punch cocktail. The salads were both huge. The steak and Gorgonzola salad had a lot of great flavors that complimented each other so well. The lobster salad was made so well. I was blown away by how much lobster I got for the cost. Will be back as it's our favorite restaurant in Newport

Elisa C.

Yelp
This restaurant is our families favorite! There is a lot of variety to choose from menu. Prices are decent and food is excellent. We love that it's a first come first serve and no reservations needed. Staff are pleasant and we truly enjoyed our waiter from Brazil, Gustavo!

Angela B.

Yelp
I got the Island Mussels and Clams and enjoyed it! The portion was huge so I would recommend splitting it between 2 next time. The food and drink menu is fairly large so there should be something for everyone!

Sara F.

Yelp
Walk-in's over Labor Day weekend, so we were happy to be seated! Definitely was enticed by the lobster nachos (see pictured), which were heavy but great! Didn't love my entree (scallops) and it was pricey, but I think the Red Parrot is great for casual dining--apps, sandwiches, etc.

Britt V.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for a little date after having our newborn. This restaurant has super good food and yummy drinks! The large lobster bisque was AMAZING!! And HUUUGE!! lol! You definitely want to come with your appetite! Great atmosphere and nice wait staff!

Pedram B.

Yelp
Quirky place with a fun vibe! The service was very attentive and the food portions are great. Recommend the nachos and the clam chowder. Definitely the best clam chowder I've had as of yet!

Karl H.

Yelp
Where do I start. On vacation. I come down to Newport rhode Island at least 4 times a year. Just like home, I have my places to eat at and the dishes I always get. The teriyaki sticky wings I usually get as an appetizer and then my wrap. But seeing it's just me, I stuck with only one dish. The chicken is cooked perfectly.. juicy and tender, and the sauce is sweet and flavorful .this is a must go 6. They have 2 floors. The staff is great and always friendly. Bar is great if you just want to come in for a drink. Or a drink and app. Also, it's great for family meals, especially wonderfully for dates thw last time I was here at a later time at night on a date and we both got the salmon. I got the pan seared. And she got the teriyaki. I liked mine, but hers was amazing. And she doesn't eat fish and wand to try it and she loved it.

Yelp
Tina's Take: 9/10 So I been to Newport many times and I been dying to go here, but there was always a long wait. We were able to come for lunch and it was amazing. The menu is a bit overwhelming because it is a book, but there was literally so many things to chose from. We got seated upstairs which was pretty nice. We got some local beers on tap that were really good as well. For an appetizer we got the nachos and it was such a large portion. Three of us sharing them, we were already full. Then we got three entrees which were amazing. The tuna was so good I would go back just for that! I got the pasta with lobster and shrimp I believe and the sauce was soooo good. Overall our waiter was very informative and understanding that we did not know what to choose.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place to me, specifically the lobster nachos. I wanted to try something different so I opted for the pizza. It was pretty delicious. Then I tried my friends steak and it was pretty bland. Steak was cooked to order but no flavor. My other friend also ordered the steak and due to the steak having no flavor he asked for A1 sauce. Service was excellent and they played great music (soul/RNB) while we were there lightly in the background. Calamari (not pictured) was also really good.

Yelp
The clam chowder was absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned, creamy, and just right for a rainy day when we visited. Also got sweet potato fries (forgot to take a picture of those) that were amazing! Good, friendly service as well. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I was apprehensive about going to the Red Parrot because it's a large restaurant with a big menu, so I worried about the quality of the food. However, I was pleasantly surprised! We had the lobster roll and the lobster and shrimp pasta, and both were delicious. We also tried the limoncello cocktail, which was super refreshing and zesty. The waiters were friendly, and the service was quick.
