Low key relaxed atmosphere but sophisticated. Excellent service. I had the "tomato tomato " cocktail and huevo ranchero for Sunday brunch. The presentation was perfect taste was spot on. Unique chief prepared dish. Can't wait to come back for dinner.

I found this place in an article for must go restaurants since I was here visiting my fiance, we are always looking for amazing restaurants to make as our go-to regular place. It was a decent experience, it wasn't too busy when I went, so the food service wasn't too slow. The staff was mediocre, so no one specifically stood out to me but the establishment itself was nice and super trendy. U can dress up or dress down and the atmosphere will still allow it. Food was good but not amazing, I was seriously expecting more flavor and uniqness but I wasn't entirely disappointed. Order consisted of APPS: falafel bites, chicken tacos, MEALS: BLAT Sandwich w/ Garlic Fries, Skuna Bay Salmon dinner, DRINKS: wendigo blood cocktail, field of fraises cocktail, sink or swim cocktails. In my opinion, the falafel bites were so delicious, crunchy with a creamy inside and with the sauces, yum! Chicken "street tacos" were also good but they weren't anything special and I've definitely had better in MANY other places. Garlic Fries were literally amazing, the BLAT sandwich was so basic and bread was a little over toasted served with the wrong part of the lettuce leaf. Skuna Bay Salmon meal was prob the worst of the night. The Salmon was a little dull but it was the most edible on the plate. It came with pineapple forbidden rice that was overcooked, greasy, tasteless and the pineapple seemed super quaint on the taste buds, almost non-existent, zucchini/squash was also bland. Wendigo Blood drink was too flavored and small, the field of fraises drink was better but undermade, bartenders were so disappointing, they should try what they serve, I did prefer the field of fraises drink over wendigo and lastly the sink or swim cocktails (2) these were made much better and properly and the cherry at the end of the drink will change your life! So good. Anyhow I hope this helps your choice to come to The Red Rabbit, I do generally reccommend it here, maybe the staff was having an off day. Street parking is free after 6p Cost for everything was prob around $150 for 2 people which is reasonable but not for mediocre food and service. Visually everything was fine, and to my sweet waitress, you did fine but you must be more attentive especially when the restaurant is that empty. Again, nothing really special about this place but it was good. *wipe the tables better, all that residue and wipe smears shouldn't be there. Give this a thumb up 👍 if it helped or if you tried yourself and agree.

First time visiting and it was such a delight. It’s a very spacious bar with ample seating and booths. The atmosphere is very cool and so are the servers! Super friendly. They have some very tasty drinks as well and small plates for munching on. Perfect place to just kick back and hang out!

Google
We ordered the fried mushrooms, Christmas cocktails, and two sandwiches. The melt was tasty and the burger was big and pretty decent but not super exciting. The Christmas decor and themed drinks make it worth a visit during the holiday season! The food is pretty good overall but the cocktails standout.

Great place. The drinks the bartender made for us were very strong- a major plus! I ordered the Tofino Salmon, it was good. It wasn’t as big as I would have thought but it was a decent portion. I also ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert- absolutely delicious! The bathrooms were clean, our server was very attentive. As far as Covid-19 protocols, it seems they were a little relaxed with it, I saw a couple of people who were walking around without a mask. There didn’t seem to be a limit to the number of people inside because it got a little crowded as we were about to leave. Just FYI if anyone is concerned about that. My friends had no complaints about their orders. We would definitely come back again.

Great place for vegans! I came here with my husband as they have many vegan options and was not disappointed! I ordered the Bolognese (The Vegan Edition), the Sprout Skewers and the Fungi Frites (my favorite) and everything was delicious! The service was great and the place is very pretty with great atmosphere. Really recommend!

Google
They have a fantastic list of drinks and a daily special drink for $7! We got the fish tacos and the kimchi pork belly fried rice. Both were delicious! My hubby said the pork belly was perfectly crispy on the outside and his dish was very flavorful and not too spicy. The picture of the tacos looks like a salad but I promise the taco is under there, they just load it with lots of fresh delicious veggies like radish and lettuce, and they give a decent amount of fish in it! Unfortunately, the drink of the day was out so we got the horse's neck and it was delicious, slightly tangy and sweet.

I absolutely love the Decor and the vibe of the place, as it was extremely lively and very dynamic. Also the crowd was pretty diverse, which is always nice to see. However, we sat at the bar, and the condensation from the air conditioner kept sprinkling us throughout our dinner. And once our food was served, I noticed that the waiters tried to rush us. But the food took a while as well for it to be made. On the other hand, I absolutely loved trying the entire head of cauliflower, which I have never ever seen before a menu. While it was very big, I was able to eat the entire thing, and only had to add salt a little bit for more flavor. Otherwise, was absolutely amazing.

Yelp
Great bar service, fantastic bartender, makes wonderful drinks and he was quite entertaining to talk to as well.

Yelp
I am sorry to read that they have closed. I enjoyed sitting at the bar with a cocktail and an order of the Hatch Chili with Jack & Cheddar, Mornay Kimchi Puree / Togarashi / Micro Cilantro

Yelp
My friends had suggested to go to the Red Rabbit for drinks and their food. We had gone back in December when the restaurant was decked out in holiday decor! They have wrapping paper on the tables and Christmas trees everywhere! They also have holiday themed drinks! Super fun! TIP: Go early in the season if you would like those holiday drinks and souvenir cups! They started to run out of the drinks when we got around to going. Their food was amazing! And great portions! Everything was flavorful and all of our liking. Just remember if you're going, the plates are bigger then you'd expect! I definitely will be coming back again! Another note, they do have rotation in their foods I believe. So if you come once in a while, don't stress about if they had that plate again, try a new one!!!

Yelp
Sunday around 3pm the day after a Kings playoff win was dead. Everyone hungover to blame for this maybe? Lol. They had happy hour 3-6pm with some great bites on their HH menu. Especially loved the gluten free options here! They also had substitutes available incl pasta! Fungi frites were amazing and so crispy. Korean short rib ramen has such great flavor I was very impressed by this. Wings and poutine were passes for me, just not that great. Bartender was excellent. She made our drinks flawlessly and was very charming. Loved her vibe. Drinks were made perfectly. Would come back to try more dinner selections and for the drinks.

Yelp
My wife was told by her friends that this was the place to hang out with all their Christmas decorations. I saw a lot of bad reviews so I was very hesitant but she really wanted to go. i made reservations and when we got there it was pretty full and there was a large group even sitting outside in the cold. We got seated after a few minutes. The place is really decorated well. None of the lights blink hahah but I guess that might be annoying. We were lead to the back and sat down and I heard someone call out my name. It was Carol P. She was there with some of her friends . So nice to see her again. They had a specialty drink menu with holiday cups you could buy. I was thinking about the Trex with the Santa hat at 16 bucks plus your drink but I went with my Remy standard. I knew that the service was always rated as being slow and it was. It took a bit for our server to even come over but we were ready. I made sure my wife knew what we wanted and we ordered our drinks and food the first time she came over. The food took awhile I didn't look at my watch but it seemed quit awhile. My wife got the short rib sandwich with tater tots. It was pretty good and the tots were really crispy. I got the short ribs with ramen and it was very flavorful but the meat was hard to cut with their butter knife. I had to whip out my own knife. The ginger flavor was sometimes over powering. We enjoyed the food and the ambiance. It was a nice time It is very loud in this place so if we brought a group I'm sure we would be screaming a little hahah. Very unique place.

Yelp
Ever since I came here for the miracle pop up, I love the cocktails from The Red Rabbit even off holiday season. The drinks here are well balanced. Order the " morning glory," it's not on the menu but the bartenders know what this is. With strawberry gin, creme cassis, elderflower, lemon, orange bitters and vegan egg whites. This is my go-to drink here. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable. You can always tell them what you normally like from a cocktail and they can whip up something tasty for you on the spot.

Yelp
I wanted to come visit this place because I heard they go all out decorating for Christmas. The atmosphere was very festive. I really liked the decorations of the place. Every detail was Christmas decorated. The ceiling was strung with lights, the chair backs had Santa hats covers, the tables had Christmas wrapping as table cloths, the menus were like Christmas cards. They had a special Christmas menu for drinks and special Christmas cups you can purchase with your drink. It is a good place to get together with friends, except the place is a bit too loud. You have to talk very loudly for the other person to hear you. The food was pretty good. I had the shorty melt with tater tots and my husband had the short rib ramen. The short melt was good, but it tasted like it was lacking something. Maybe more cheese, all I can taste was the meat. The tater tots were very crunchy, but hard. It was a little over fried for my taste. I like my tots just crunchy. My husband said his dinner was good, but it had too much ginger. I did try his noodles and it was overwhelming with ginger flavor. The service was mediocre, it was kind of lacking. We waited for a while for the initial greeting and never came back to check on us after gave our order. We sat for so long that we decided to better give our food and drink order at the same time, before she walked off. If we did the food and drink order separately, who knows when she would be back to take our food order.

Courtney O.

Yelp
Came to Red Rabbit last night for their Christmas Miracle Pop Up with a group of 6. We made reservations back in August and when we checked in, the hostess told us that they did not have table ready for us and we needed to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated. Service was so slow even though our server was great. Took over 30 minutes to get our first drinks due to new bartenders. The Christmas Miracle drinks were terrible - we sent one back and another was incorrect. The drinks were supposed to come in cute Christmas glasses/mugs and they didn't which was a disappointment considering we went for the Christmas experience. The only plus was my meal - I ordered The Pounder which was steak, mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies - steak was cooked great and the seasoning was on point. We've been a few times to Red Rabbit, but after this last experience, I don't think we'll be back.

Yelp
Had reservations and was seated right away. I was waiting about 15 mins for my friend to show and the server came one time to take my drink order. My drink arrived about 20ish mins later. We ordered a burger with both fries and tater tots which took about 45 mins to come. They were kind to split the meal for us and brought out two trays but unfortunately the food was really cold, no warmth at all. For all the ranch people, they had good ranch. The burger was okay, fries and tots were good but would have tasted better hot. It was really busy and other people's food came out late as well. They were decorated for the holiday and had a holiday cocktail list which was great. Side note: they could have been understaff so I didn't make a big deal about the food taking long or coming out cold.

Yelp
I am sad that the Red Rabbit has gone down hill bc this used to be one of my all time favorite places in Sacramento. They had a nice menu and fantastic cocktails but the last few experiences were not good - def not 4/5* service like they were in the past. I believe they are under new ownership which would explain why the menu has changed and the food and drinks are hit or miss now. Another loss for midtown. Classic drinks like the Sage (or sometimes Basil) cocktail and the Buckhunter are no longer on the menu. We found an old menu posted on Yelp to show the bartender b/c the waitress offered that he'd be able to recreate it but it wasn't the same, def not worth $14. The entire cocktail was approx 2 oz in a large glass with a huge ice cube - more like a fancy shot and it was sweet (def not the same drink). Heard from someone who used to work here that most of the bartenders and servers left when the new owners took over. So it makes sense that the quality of the food and drinks are no longer consistent. It's all new people. Our server, super sweet, didn't know a thing about the menu. My husband hasn't been a fan of this place for at least the last 12-14 months but I thought he was just being a hater. I hadn't noticed b/c I was always able to get my favorite cocktail and the tacos were consistently good - had a few not so fresh salads but some really good ones too. On this last visit four of us (regulars) left extremely disappointed and feeling ripped off b/c the total bill def didn't match what they served us. I always get the BBQ tacos and sub tofu for the shrimp - it's actually why I choose to come here, for the tacos and that cocktail. But this visit felt like a complete waste of money. I got a tiny drink that wasn't what I expected and the portion of the tacos was a joke. It was like 2 bites. My husband and our friends were extremely dissatisfied with their orders as well, not just the size but the taste. The veggie rolls tasted like they bought them frozen from the grocery store and my friend who doesn't eat pork was served a pork taco - when she told the waitress, she apologized and offered to bring the chicken one but were still charged for the pork taco that was a mistake. And finally....not to be a Karen but this is worth mentioning. We went on a week day at 3pm. It wasn't busy so got a table right away, but the service was ridiculously slow. And the music - very interesting choice - 90s soft and heavy metal mix. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of 80s/90s music especially hair bands and metal but it just seemed like an odd selection of songs for this establishment at that time of day. And it was so loud - again not being a Karen (disclosure: I still attend GNR and Metallica concerts) but it was comical. The waitress couldn't hear anything and had to yell so we could hear her. She apologized and commented that the music kept getting louder. Just a very strange vibe. Sucks I have to 86 Red Rabbit from my go-to restaurants b/c this was one of my top 3's in Sacramento since moving here in 2016.

Yelp
Attending a conference and in search of a place for dinner. Decided to give this place a try after reading the reviews. Arrived at around 6:30pm and scored parking right in front. Not sure what was happening, all the tables weren't full, but it took a while to get seated. Our server, Paulina, was great. Very friendly, answered our questions, offered recommendations, and checked on us often. Friend ordered the kimchi Mac n cheese and the fungi frites. I ordered the osso bucco. The standout was the fungi frites - light, not oily, and flavorful. The osso bucco was good, but would've liked more of that sauce. We also shared the desserts - red velvet and chocolate peanut butter cakes. The chocolate peanut butter one tasted just like a Snickers bar - we both preferred this one. Friend said the red velvet had a "refrigerator" taste, although I didn't taste that.

Yelp
The Red Rabbit Kitchen and Bar is a Sacramento Jewel. I knew this was the place to go for my 2 year anniversary: the food looked amazing, the customer service ratings were great, and the ambiance seemed to be fun and great for a date. I was not disappointed. Our server was amazing. I sadly forgot his name, but it was his third day on the job: he did amazing. We took his suggestions. While my girl decided to choose a nice chicken breast, I went ahead with the Shrimp pasta (Italian is my favorite). To celebrate our 2 years, we need that alcohol! The bar was busy, and I could tell the Red Rabbit is a busy spot. 10/10 on everything. Taste was up to par, portions were perfect and our server checked up on us regularly. The only downside would probably be the price points for the dishes, but it's worth every cent. If you have any doubts on this place, don't! Give it a go :) Thank you for making our 2 year anniversary a success!

Yelp
We came out for a date night in Sac and wanted to try this place out. It has a sexy, dark, mysterious feel when you enter. There are red rabbit art along the walls. We sat in a booth which is always nice. I ordered the Chupacabra which was so good I ordered another. The Donky Punch was amazing too! We asked for the waiters recommendation and he said the ramen was very popular. I ordered it and it didn't disappoint. It was flavorful especially with the ribs. It was a lot of food too! The men said he salmon was very good too. The service was great. The waiter was attentive and was prompt with his service. Definitely a great date place ti check out.

Yelp
I stopped by The Red Rabbit Kitchen + Bar for their happy hour!! They had deal on some appetizers and drinks!! There's what I got and tried: Old Fashioned: bourbon, sugar, biters, orange, cherry ($10) Apple Bottomed Cheese: grilled flatbread, Gorgonzola blue cheese, apple slices, arugula, chili oil (($10.25) French 75: gin, lemon, sugar, champagne ($10) White Linen: gin, elderflower, lemon, cucumber, sugar, soda water ($10) Tater Tots: garlic tots ($6) Hemingway: rum, maraschino, lime, grapefruit ($10) Mac 'n' Bows: mac and cheese Pancetta Cheese Toastie: brioche, grayer and white cheddar, pancetta, beer braised caramelized onions, herbs ($10.25) Fungi Frites: deep fried light tempura battered portobello mushrooms I would say that their prices are still a little pricey for happy hour but the service was amazing! We came in a little before happy hour was ending and they made sure to check in with us in case we wanted to before it ended. My favorites were the Tater Tots (they were loaded with garlic YUM) and the French 75 (tasted like a lemonade)!!

Yelp
Bar/gastrobar vibes Great place to grab a drink, but wasn't a fan of the food. Service was ok: not very attentive but friendly when they got around to us. Star dish: Asparagus Frites with the deep fried Meyer lemons was amazing IMO. Everything else kind of fell flat. Thanks!

Naol T.

Yelp
Saturday Dinner (Reservations) On the table: Fungi Frites Portabello Burger w/Tots Korean Short Rib Ramen Cheeseburger w/Fries Rosemary & Citrus Mary's Chicken Pretty decent food! Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the mushroom fries with the vegan chipotle sauce dip. Staff were friendly and service was good. Nitpicking: The disposable toothpicks I mean chopsticks and non-soup spoon are not ideal for eating ramen. Music is too loud to conversate. Great for getting into that party socializing mode though.

Lauren S.

Yelp
This was our first time to the Red Rabbit - we've passed it multiple times and wanted to stop in and finally were able to meet a friend for dinner there. They had their Christmas pop up bar going on which was cute. Overall everything was tasty but a bit overpriced for what you get. The star seemed to be the ramen dish, which comes with a ton of food. I'm sure we'll be back but there are many other restaurants along a similar price point with more value.

Curtis B.

Yelp
The service was almost perfect. The cocktail was amazing and the mushrooms were great. **disclaimer-i already spoke to the Mgr about what I'm about to post** The short rib sandwich was bland, no flavor and just not inspiring. He agreed. The first problem is the cheese. Apparently they ran out of white cheddar so the cook used American. First off NO! Tell the guest so they can make an informed decision. Don't suggest a menu item you can't deliver on. Secondly. Why!? As a cook you should know damn well American can't sub for white cheddar. The manager was really cool about. I didn't get a refund or discount but it was a good conversation. That counts for something.

Tara R.

Yelp
Very frustrating to come with a group, send the Happy Hour link and while they could update a lot of things inside and online, for the holidays they end Happy Hour at 5, not 6 like on the website. A great establishment would apologize and let you know it changed but honor the prices for another hour. I was here before 5 but didn't know as waiting for the rest of the group. I think the items are overpriced and mediocre. The Vibe and atmosphere are cool, especially for the holiday but the customer service leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure I would come except for a drink.

Nita R.

Yelp
I have to say I'm sorry I'd never been here before. They open at 3pm on Saturday and we were the first people in to eat!! Wow it was such a great meal and the customer service was 100% on point!!!! Bar tender excellent at making craft cocktails- so darn good!!!! We were a party of four. We ordered two BLATS, one with a salad other with fries, one fish sandwich and one salmon and it was so good!!! everything was good we also had dessert which was incredible chocolate mousse and the cheesecake!!! I honestly will come back here soon!!!!

Pamela F.

Yelp
Very disappointing visit to Red Rabbit last night. Seated at a disgusting sticky and visually dirty table that I ended up asking for a rag to clean myself. We were informed that they are only offering speciality cocktails from their seasonal menu so none were available from their regular menu nor their happy hour menu. Seasonal cocktail were all interesting and very different - and all $15-16 each! Oh, and none of the "batched" hot drinks (think Hot Buttered Rum) were ready, nor the cold spiked chai - the entire two hours we were there. Two cocktails each and two appetizers during happy hour = nearly $85. I think that may unfortunately be my last visit to Red Rabbit.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today and we had a nice big table at the middle of the restaurant. It was a lot less fancy than the pictures led me to think, but maybe because it was lunchtime. The menu was pretty limited but several of the items sounded good. I went for the bibimbap - which was basically kimchi fried rice topped with an egg. It came with broccolini too. Everything on the dish was amazing, I just needed about twice that portion! I'm sure this portion is probably what I *should* eat and I was just right after finishing, but I could've definitely eaten more. Other dishes seemed to have larger portions (like the burger and the French toast) so maybe it was just my dish in particular. The French toast was yummy and very fluffy, but I'm not a huge fan of orange and the syrup was very fragrant in orange flavor. I ordered an apple cider to drink. I was hoping for an iced one because I looove Martinelli's apple cider during the holidays! But I was expecting it to be a hot version, like most coffee places offer. I was so pleased to see their version here was iced!! It was so tasty, I wish I got another! Great service here too. All of the servers were very patient with us, since we took a while to get through our meal, and our three babies under 1 year old were all gnawing through their snacks!

Mei W.

Yelp
Love the festive Christmas decor. Such a total vibe! Dined here for brunch + drinks with the girlfriends and had a really memorable time. The meals & drinks served in cute holidays Christmas cups were spectacular! My friends tried their holiday drinks & enjoyed it. (Being a champagne lover, I had to stick with my usual bubbles for drinks!) The hash potatoes & eggs were delish - diced potatoes topped with a sunny side egg & broccolini. I'm not usually a fan of kale, but their kale salad was fresh with a nice sweet dressing topped with Parmesan cheese. Mmm, I'll be back for more. Our server was great and well-attentive to our party. Ambiance is definitely fun & merry. They even had a cute Christmas backdrop for diners to snap a photo!

Alison H.

Yelp
Met up with friends for a bite on a Wednesday evening. We didn't have reservations and the matradee wasn't very kind about that. Luckily they were able to seat us on the patio where there were heaters. We had to ask multiple servers who would be helping us-- each time greeted by a blank look and response that they would ask for us. Finally, our server came to take our order but was super MIA in regards to our needs (ie napkins, water). The food was just okay-- felt overpriced for the quality. The bill finally came and it was a long wait for our server to come back (she never did). We asked another server to help with the check so we could leave which she willingly did and offered her frustrated apology on behalf of her inattentive coworker. Won't be back here in the future.

Noah B.

Yelp
First time visiting the Red Rabbit. Did not know there would be such a strong Christmas theme, but that neither added nor detracted from our visit. Started with the Elfin Around cocktail, which had prosecco, mulled wine reduction, grapefruit shrub, aromatic bitters, and Orange bitters. Loved my drink and would recommend it. We shared the fungi frites and the Mac n elbows. We loved the fungi frites, which I misread on the menu initially. Didn't realize they were actually tempura fried, but we really loved them, and the sauce that came with them was very good too. The Mac n bows was underwhelming. Not very creamy, it was almost dry. Could definitely tell that they made a big batch of it and scooped this off the top and put in the bowl. Tasted good, just nothing special. Then we shared the vegan bolognese and the tofino salmon. The bolognese was good, and the nuttiness of the cashews shone through. Tasted good, but the faux meat could have used a bit more seasoning. The star of the show for the main dishes was the sage pesto that topped the salmon. Added a great flavor, and I intend to make this myself. Salmon was cooked through (which I enjoy, though my friend does not) and tasted very good. The root vegetables that came with it weren't seasoned at all and could have used a few more minutes in the oven. Split between three people and my share was $50. Definitely got my money's worth in terms of the quantity of food, though in terms of quality I would have to say it fell a bit short.

Yelp
Thursday, 11/11/2021 - Came to The Red Rabbit to celebrate my honeys birthday. We came for dinner at 6:30pm. Upon arrival: Pros: 1) no parking fee because it's a holiday today. Yay! We didn't know that. 2) we got seated right away. 3) they came and took our drink order pretty quickly. 4) water tasted good. No metal taste. 5) restaurant was clean. Our table, bench, silverwares, utensils, and cups clean. 6) food presentation was pretty. 7) they were quick bringing our tab to us and taking our money. Cons: 1) once they took our food order, they never came back to check on us. 2) when they brought our meal out, that's when I let our waitress know i needed water refill and my little one wanted a lemonade refill. 3) wish the waitress let us know lemonade refill was an extra $1.50. 4) lemonade was pretty tart. Both times! 5) after we got our meal, our waitress disappeared. We needed salt and pepper for our salmon. Salmon needed salt and pepper. It was pretty bland. 6) after waiting 8 minutes for our waitress to return and trying to spot her (never spotted her), she never returned. So we slowly started to nibble on our food before it gets too cold. Still... no waitress to check on us. 7) when we finished our meal, that's when our waitress came back to see if we needed anything else. By that time, we did not. Conclusion: I felt our service wasn't very good tonight. Food wasn't very good tonight. I was extremely disappointed in the service and the food. I wish they'd check a little more on their patrons. I don't think we'll return here again. Maybe you had a better experience than we did

Yelp
I have been wanting to come to the Red Rabbit for a while now. We finally made it yesterday we stop by after a day in Sacramento with friends. Around Christmas time I would see this place everywhere with all the Christmas decor and the cool mug drinks . Yesterday I walked in and obviously it's not Christmas anymore so it was not decorated . It was a little empty. Also, it was more early afternoon I was with great company but the vibe just felt a little off for me. Our waiter was super nice and attentive. The only thing and it's not even her fault but our drinks would take like 20 minutes to come out and the place was empty so..I just didn't like how long they took two come out . I ordered this drink that I really liked. It was very refreshing it was called Field of fraises very delicious drink. My husband had a drink that looked like a martini, but it was actually tequila and he said it had like some spice to it. I don't remember the name but he said it was good as well. We had already ate we pretty much were there just to try the drinks and check out the place. Overall, I would give it another try. Maybe when it's Christmas time or when it's a little bit more busy it was pretty empty and the vibes just seemed a little off, but it was great service great drinks so we may come back not sure.

Yelp
This is a nice sit down restaurant! The location makes it easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. We arrived before the dinner rush just for some appetizers and drinks and were pleasantly surprised to find out that they were having a happy hour during the weekend! We ordered 2 well drinks and got the shishito peppers. Everything was good, nothing crazy. Our waitress was very warm and recommended some options for our evening. I would like to come back to try their dinner menu and get a better taste of what The Red Rabbit is about. Review part 2 coming soon.

Yelp
Thus place is amazing! Fair pricing for "bar" food but they have a pretty extensive menu--something for everyone--& the portion sizes & quality also reflect the pricing. TYLER was great. Super friendly & attentive. Shrimp tacos were great for an appetizer.. their hot sauce was delicious The burger was a basic burger. Super big & the garlic tots were great. The po'boy....meh. the sauce & toppings were good but the fish itself was ok. Fries were also good. We'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Came here yesterday afternoon and while I had very high hopes this place really fell in the middle for me...1st pet peeve is we walked in and the place is pretty dead and do we have a reservation? Well we did but don't act like you are so busy not to take a walk-in. Despite being dead we sat on the back outdoor seating area with literally nobody for the 1st 3/4 of our visit. But thought it was weird that despite tons of front outdoor spots to sit and inside we were sat in this back area...to be honest felt like we had some sort of disease at first. When our waitress did come over she was super friendly and no complaints in any way on her part...another thing that was very strange is that despite being in Happy Hour the prices for that were really not that great of a deal and in some cases were only a .25-.50 price difference. That's really not very enticing for sure... So onto dinner we started off with their happy hour old-fashion and were pretty tasty along with the pancetta cheese toasty and what came out didn't look anything but that...despite it taking almost 20 mins just to get this and starving I just ate it and was pretty underwhelmed for what levee it was that came out. For dinner I had the short rib ramen and this dish did have great flavor and did enjoy it. My wife had the fish tacos and she felt like they were just ok. But what was frustrating is that even though I did like my ramen it came with no spoon and no side of sriracha like I asked for and when I asked how does it take 5 mins to get those items? Also when ordering an appetizer doesn't that come with plates and don't give a small attitude when you ask for some...so the reasoning bottom line for the 3 stars is really around the overall experience and service. Plus the food and over choices in my opinion were just ok. Some minor tweaks and this could easily be a 4-5 star.

Yelp
I randomly chose this place for date night and completely love the look. Various rabbit pictures around the restaurant with red lights along the walls. The waiters and host were so kind and helpful. They have great drink recommendations, I love the cute names. My favorite is thyme is money, for the drink and name. We got the green bean frites as an appetizer. Steak and the pasta of the day for our entrees. It's a cute date night but can also we a place you can take your friends.

Yelp
Went for dinner tonight (2/9/23). I usually like coming here but found service lackluster, more specifically the bartender (long hair guy). Our server was kind and helpful and the food was great. Here's where my issue is: I ordered a cocktail which was a type of linen drink made with gin and elderflower liqueur and was probably close to (if not) $14. My partner and I tasted the drink and it did not have any gin in it. I spoke to the server and asked if there was gin in it and she said she could have bar staff make another drink. Since we were seated near the bar I saw the entire interaction. Server went to bar staff and they pushed back on her and all they did was sprinkle a little bit of gin in my already somewhat melted and no longer fresh "cocktail". When the server came back, she explained that the bartender stated that it was traditionally a "light cocktail" but they added some extra gin as a courtesy... There was no offer to make something else, no apologies, no offer to even add more ice to the now melted drink. Now I had a water cocktail with a bit of extra gin, not even sure if it was the premium gin that comes with the cocktail and honestly tasted like bottom shelf gin. I also observed the bartender making this drink for others and it looked like he wasn't putting any gin in it, just water. How is a $14 cocktail with gin and liquer considered light? It tasted like spa water. What a rip off! I'd recommend going elsewhere if you see this guy behind the bar or maybe just order beer because the cocktails are clearly not worth it, at least the ones he makes! Also concerned with management if they're ok with allowing this kind of service to be the norm.

Yelp
I went around 3:45pm during their happy hour menu. The bartender was really nice and attentive. I ordered a rum & coke which was $7 during happy hour. Their espresso martini was alright 7.5/10, it could use Godiva liquer. We also ordered the "poutine" which consisted of: tater tots, cheese, pork belly and sausage gravy, I give this an 8.5/10. The tater tots were too salty and the pork belly had no flavor.

Yelp
We were in town and I was in charge of a restaurant selection for 7 people with multiple age demographics and tastes! Red Rabbit fit the bill perfectly - the vibe is perfect when you walk in... you can tell the drinks would be legit just by looking a the bar. We were not disappointed - even my mom who never orders anything fun had two "Granny Panties" cocktails! The food is a bit different, but really well done. We all ordered different items and not a single person left disappointed. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We came to The Red Rabbit Kitchen & Bar for Dine Downtown 2022 and had a mixed experience. We made a reservation and were seated timely at 6:30pm. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, but became increasingly busy throughout the evening. We ordered the Portobello Frites and Winter Chopped Salad for appetizers, the Grilled Pork Porterhouse for entree, and the Black Cherry Ricotta Cheesecake and Triple Layered Chocolate Cake for dessert. The three course meal was $45 per person. The food was really good! I enjoyed both the portobello frites and winter chopped salad. The portobello frites comes with tempura portobello mushrooms, fried orange slices, and a delicious vegan chipotle cashew dipping sauce. The sauce was delicious and really elevated the flavor of the tempura. The winter chopped salad was refreshing and a good balance from the fried tempura. The grilled pork chop was delicious! It was grilled nicely on the outside yet soft and tender inside. The flavor was fantastic with the sauce it came with. The side of brussel sprouts with bacon and roasted fingerling potatoes were perfect additions. For dessert, the black cherry ricotta cheesecake was really good and by far, the better dessert. The chocolate was good also, but didn't stand out as much as the cheesecake. Overall, the food was impressive and a worthy contender in the Dine Downtown experience. A few things we did not enjoy in the evening - our server had a really difficult time taking our order. He kept telling us we had to all order the same items, when we knew this was not true. His communication on the menu was lacking. Service was also extremely slow. He rarely ever checked in on us, it took us an incredible amount of time to flag him down to ask for anything, he was supposed to bring us another glass of wine and forgot till much later, and never once refilled my water, even when my glass was empty. I even walked all the way around to the kitchen to ask another employee for a to-go box before leaving. Also, at 7:52pm, the hostess came up to us and told us we were approaching our two hour mark! First, we were seated at 6:30 and no where near two hours. Second, no one said anything when we were first seated or made reservations that were was a two hour time limit. Third, service was so incredibly slow that it took such long time to get anything to our table. There is no way to be done eating when our dessert hadn't even come out and still took another 20 minutes to come out after we had finished our entrees and after being informed of this time limit. The audacity of a restaurant to offer such incredibly slow and bad service, then top it off by telling us to leave soon, when we hadn't even gotten our dessert. The only friendly worker was the lady who brought out our dessert. Thank God the food was really good and therefore bumped up my rating to three stars.

Yelp
Paloma! Singapore Sling! Any and every drink (old school concoction) you can think of Eric R. Is the bartender ..(clears throat) MIXOLOGIST for you! Such a great human being and bartender. Long story short we observed another patron who was beyond intoxicated... Mr. MIXOLOGIST, Eric R. made sure to give this particular customer water, reminded the guy to stay hydrated, ordered him a grilled cheese (to help "soak" up the alcohol) I MEAN HUMAN KINDNESS at its finest. Eric R. didn't even miss a beat with making sure his other customers (also seated at the bar) were taken care of. Like REALLY AMAZING. Now to the food and drinks. We ordered SEVERAL Paloma's, a Singapore sling and beer. Eric R. was super knowledgeable, and open for any cocktail making challenge. A true GEM! The tater tots, and burger are good, perfectly seasoned- just Yum.

Yelp
3/8/2023: Excellent service by Haley, the cocktail waitress. She assisted me in ordering my wife's drink. The drink that my wife Deanna had was the Tropical Thunder. Powerful drink and had the cost of $18.00. One was enough. Beautiful decor inside. The bartender greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and made sure to tell us goodbye when we left. Very friendly and he knows how to make a superb drink!

Yelp
Tonight I decided to try The Red Rabbit and utilize the gift card I won from Yelp. I never noticed that the restaurant next to Barwest was The Red Rabbit and my nephew kept saying how it used to have a darker lighting/ambiance but tonight it was "brighter" We walked in and was greeted by the host and was sat immediately. A wait staff brought our waters and then our server asked if we wanted anything to drink besides water. We ordered the Dr. Carol and Mexican firing squad. While we waited for our drinks, i noticed that the restaurant was really big. Booths on the left, and a huge bar with seating to the right of the entrance. While looking at the menu I noticed that there was a variety of options. You can choose from meatless to meat. You can add tofu, chicken, or beef to any of the main courses. We started with the fungi frites and for our main dish we ordered the Pork Osso Bucco and the Shrimp Tacos. The frites were amazing, honestly anything deep fried is really good. The pork fell off the bone so easily, and the sauce around it tasted like a light marinara. I didn't care too much for tortilla that came with the tacos, so I ate everything else. I loved the habanero sauce that came with the tacos. The ambiance and the service was great. It was a little pricey but still really good. I would recommend this place.

Yelp
This was our first time trying The Red Rabbit. We ordered a few items under their dinner menu just because we don't know when will be the next time we order from here. And as takeout. Unfortunately, the food would probably been better eaten at the restaurant. For example, the Shrimp taco shell hardened and the sandwiches ended up getting soggy by the time it arrived at our location. All items had flavor. There was no bland taste to them, but it wasn't wow-ing us. Overall, we might come back but eat inside if we do decide to give the place another chance. Because first impressions are important.

Yelp
I legitimately don't know how anyone could give this place 5 stars. Went here on a Friday night around 530pm when they apparently had 1 bartender working. Actually there were 2 but when we spoke to the first bartender to ask for a drink he informed us he was getting off his shift and couldn't take our order. So we wait and wait, and finally get the "on duty" bartender to take our order. Then we wait again, and wait... and we watched as he not only prepared 6 other drinks before ours, but then we actually witnessed a couple who arrived after us get drinks AND food before we even received our first round of drinks. So finally a second person shows up who we watch spend 15 minutes getting shakers and whatever they use for their station. At this point I think "everyone has a bad day, lets give them the benefit of the doubt". We've been here 45 minutes but we'd like another drink and we need a bite to go with it so let's order a small appetizer. 45 minutes later NOTHING arrives! I tell the bartender I want my check and he has the audacity to include my never arrived food (I don't blame him... I truly blame their management for such terrible leadership). As we wait for them to fix it, a couple is waiting for our seats, and he asks if the service has been "any better tonight". Why would he ask that....because the first time he was here it was the same bad experience, but he was back because his friend wanted to give them a 2nd shot! We finally get our removed food bill, full price 3 drinks. Fine.. whatever. We leave hungry and completely disappointed. I cant imagine how anyone would recommend this place with a straight face. I would never come back here.

Yelp
Amazing cheeseburger, delicious white linen cocktail, tasty & hot fries with a historic brick & booth atmosphere and helpful service.

Yelp
The service is great. With that being said. Daaaamn!!!! $20 for a soggy ass po boy?? It came out of a freezer. I should've brought my own tater tots from Trader Joes. They were tastier than this joint. If it was $12. I wouldn't of made this negative review. But $20 for this frozen slop. Someone has to tell the world. $18 for a mixed drink taught by YouTube?? Listen. I've been around the block. I've seen a tourist trap here and there . From Athens to Zacatecas. Is this place a tourist trap? I'll let you decide. Oh they didn't even have tabasco sauce...for reals. So maybe this place wasn't opened to serve food? was it an after thought? So is this a restaurant? Is it a bar? Did the original owners sell? Do the new owners not give a s****? Are they counting the money in the back with a cigar in mouth?? This place doesn't have an identity. Normally if the drinks are good I'll let the food slide, and vice versa. Sactown is filled with great spots. Use your hard earned money at a place that cares for their products and puts a little thought in their food. You deserve it.

Yelp
I came in on a Friday night in December to meet some friends and it was PACKED and loud (I would not recommend going back until cases go down)! I almost wasn't let in, but the bouncer was understanding that my friend was already inside. The crowd is mid 20s - 30s and there was no music I could hear, but it had a lively feel and a beautiful bar. Although they were busy, they service was very nice and fast to attend to us and the Christmas themed drink menu was so cute! My friend and I ordered the Elfing Around drink, which I wish they had year round! I would like to return to try the rest of their drinks, maybe on a less busy day when it is quiet enough to talk without shouting. They also have booths and food from what I saw.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday and turns out they have happy hour. I ordered the vegan Cali Tacos and they were sooo good! I also ordered the Farro vegan risotto and if you're vegan--skip it and just go straight for the vegan involintini or bolognese

Yelp
Was excited to try the holiday pop up bar but they were out of SO many drinks. And to be honest the drinks were not that great and extremely expensive. Cute place though.

Yelp
Celebrating my birthday with a group of friends had a wonderful time at the red rabbit, kitchen and bar. From the drinks to dinner and dessert everything was perfect. I look forward to going back for more celebrations and good times with friends.

Yelp
2/10. Wow this place has fallen off the proverbial cliff. Let's start with the basics. The place had a dirty vibe. Staff appeared stressed and on edge - they did however refill our drinks several times and our waitress was sweet. We waited about 30 minutes for our appetizers- tater tots with raw garlic and parsley - the best thing we ate of the night. We ordered the most expensive items - Osso Bucco - the pounder - the rosemary citrus chicken and the shorty sandwich. Osso Bucco - polenta was cold and the texture was way off. Meat, while cooked to come off the bone was lack luster flavor - as I watch a gnat hover over it. Greens were inedible. Pounder - done medium but charred significantly giving it a carbonic taste all the way through. Demi glacé - cold. Chunky. Looks to be thickened with cornstarch. Chicken - the cardinal sin for every restaurant - DRY, over cooked, vegetable medley - sad 80's vibe. Sandwich - mediocre, bland, Cajun it was not. Overall the entertainment factor from the booth next to us HIGH AS KITES - was memorable (not the fault of the staff) We waited and tried to flag someone down to pay the bill for 20 minutes. Won't be back. Wine list pitiful.
