The Red Tail Beer & Wine Bar

My family and I stopped in before a concert at the Warfield and the bartender was really friendly and was happy to help us. We had couple drinks and a nice chat with him while we killed time before our show. He graciously gave me one of the tins I was admiring even though I wasn’t interested in sampling the liquor inside. And I found a new hard cider that I hadn’t seen yet. So overall great experience with the service and selections. The vibe is nice and relaxed but clean which I was not expecting considering how the city is these days. I will definitely remember this place the next time I’m in the area.

Dave is so amazing. He introduced me to great wine I would have never tried, and made for great conversation. Definitely come for trivia on Wednesdays.

Haven’t tried any food but I’ll lay out a big W here: they have A/C everyone! Come in for cool air and stay for great beer and wine selections. I’m a big sour guy and they have a good selection for sure

Fantastic wine bar, all the bartenders are great! It’s a perfect place to grab a drink for happy hour, before or after a show at the Warfield, or on a chill Saturday afternoon.

Big fan of the Inner Sunset location so pleased to see they're bringing a friendly atmosphere with a great beer and great wine selection to a spot that needs a good bar.

First place on Market Street heading east from City Hall that's really pleasant to go into to have a drink.. friendly service, free, popcorn, soft drinks, as well as wine and beer and a great happy hour

Great place to stop by after work in Downtown to grab a quick drink. The inside is small and cozy. Happy hour is weekdays from 4-6pm and you get $1 off any beer on tap and free popcorn. My beer was great and the popcorn was a nice touch. The worker was super chill and friendly. Would definitely recommend checking out! It's located across IKEA and the food hall and in between The Warfield and Golden Gate Theatre. Go check it out!

OK so this place has AC, so it's perfect during the hot hot days. Also, they specialize in beer/wine (no liquor) & they have a pretty decent selection for sure. I'm a big sour guy so I love to come here for that in particular. Bartenders are awesome (Michael especially) and attentive, prices are reasonable too. Place has a good vibe overall, definitely recommend coming here. Grab some tacos from next door and come drink a beer or glass of wine here with your food and (in the high heat days) relax in some AC

great bar, excellent wine, and a true sommelier bartender! I'm so impressed with Dave and his immense knowledge in wine. He even gave me a translation book of wine terms he wrote himself for my upcoming trip to Italy. Thank you, Dave! I'll be back!
