The Rees Hotel, Luxury Apartments & Lakeside Residences

Really lovely luxury hotel and apartment complex on Lake Wakatipu. Warm lobby and welcoming bar, great restaurant, but the SERVICE! Out of this world. Highly attentive, anticipatory, friendly. ||We stayed in an apartment, outfitted with everything that we needed; warm beds, comfy pillows, generous entertaining space, full kitchen and laundry, and two magnificent balconies overlooking the Remarkables. ||The location is great, just that right distance outside of Queenstown, and a really lovely lake walk into town for those who wanted to stretch their legs and take a bit of extra time.

We were blown away with our stay at The Rees in Queenstown. The accommodation was immaculate with views of the lake & had a great location. The overall service & the reception team were outstanding. The restaurant was unexpected, we had the 3 course dinner pairing menu & every meal was amazing. The staff are passionate about what they do, what they serve & are super friendly. The meals were all very authentic & paired so well with the wine they provided. The buffet breakfast was exactly what we needed, it had everything from Continential to cooked & everything in between. We def recommend The Rees to anyone staying in Queenstown.

Amazing service, always willing to please. We had a fairly soft mattress. When we mentioned this, they had it changed to a firmer one in an hour no questions asked. View from reception and coffee area is amazing. Hotel room had a great lounge which is often hard to find. Bathroom is a great size. Staff are exceptional. Unfortunately the only thing that lets them down is the food. Breakfast and dinner in True South dining room is at best average. Dinner was a very small menu. The lamb was tough and the fish overcooked.|Breakfast was limited, stale bread, hardly any fruit, espresso coffee was charged extra with no pre warning. The dining room for breakfast and dinner is exceptionally small and would not hold all if the facility was even half full. Would really recommend they re think their dining experience as other aspects as a high quality hotel are amazing. Would stay again but would not eat there. Hope this feedback helps

very nice, modern, hotel. Our room had a lovely balcony and view of the lake and surrounding mountains. While the hotel is not in the center of town, we liked the location because it was quieter and more peaceful. In addition, the hotel has a good free shuttle service to the center of town. You just have to let the front desk know when you'll be using it. it leaves the hotel every hour and picks up downtown once per hour.

The apartments with views are magnificent. It is a pleasure for the senses to spend a few days enjoying the sound of the lake, with the fireplace lit. spectacular.. Only the kitchen has a few kitchenware. They have a great shuttle service that takes you to the city center every hour. The guys who work at the hotel, like the reception staff. great. It is an ideal apartment hotel where you have your privacy. the floors, 1,2,3,4 you have to go through the apartments to get to the apartments. For intimacy it is great. You arrive, park and go straight to the apartment; But if you are looking for a classic hotel service, it is not ideal. The common areas are small.

Beautiful room with a view in a position about 6km outside of Queenstown. . This place caters for wealthy “tech types” who have no appreciation or regard for the well being of other guests. I apparently parked in the space allotted to of these types who own an apartment here despite being told that I could park freely in any space - he press ganged the poor reception staff into waking me and forcing me down to the garage to move my car after 11.30 pm so he could allegedly access his cupboard which was completely clear notwithstanding my car. Complete disregard for the fact I was a paying guest and the time of night. Such a disappointing end to a lovely stay.

We loved our stay at The Rees. The quality and comfort of the property are 5 star. We had a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the lake, and it was fantastic. The kitchen is equipped for breakfast and snacks, but we dined out most evenings. There is parking, and a washer dryer in the unit. Clean, quiet and beautiful views. Loved it!
