Finally, a great Espresso Martini at Phoenix Sky Harbor! Refuge Coffee, Food, and Wine is such a welcome addition to Sky Harbor. It’s been way too hard to find a decent espresso martini at the airport, so I was genuinely happy to come across a place that actually makes a good one. The light bites were also really solid, if you want something before you board. The vibe overall was on point. They were playing banger after banger, from André 3000 to Maxwell. It made the whole experience feel more like a cool lounge than an airport restaurant. The service was excellent, too. I wish I caught the name of the woman who took my order. She had curly hair and such a warm, friendly personality. We ended up chatting about wine tours in California, and she made the whole visit even better. If you’ve got some time before your flight, definitely stop by.

Terrible tasting coffee, food that was heated to nuclear meltdown and service that was friendly but mediocre. Sorry guys but a soggy hot croissant breakfast sandwich didn’t deserve this treatment. It really was disgusting and inedible.

At the American Airlines gate here in Phoenix for an early morning flight departure, and grabbed an iced coffee at Refuge by the B9 gate. The guy who waited on me had the best personality and customer service I’ve experienced, the iced coffee is delicious and doesn’t feel burnt like other coffee chains do. What a great morning this is to have such friendly customer service. I’m sold on this place and very impressed with reading their website.

I am gluten free so my options are limited. I asked for a piece of gluten free toast with a side of bacon and avocado and I got charged more then my daughters breakfast sandwich. It was a complete rip off. And I didn't ask for egg or anything but they made me a complete breakfast sandwich and charged me over $18 for basically toast, bacon, and a gross smear of avocado. Do not order avocado here. It's just not worth it, is overpriced, and has no flavor.

Ordered a honey lavender iced coffee, it was watery has no flavor, The worst coffee ever and it cost me $8.80 .....

Had a wonderful breakfast here. The cashier was incredibly friendly and sincere, making everyone feel at home. This location opened at 5:30 am on the Saturday that I was in Terminal 4. It is located near Gate B9. I got the Ultimate Breakfast Panini with a Late and it was delicious. Best part, there are charging stations in the seating area.

About to catch my connecting flight and just enough time to grab a coffee. They took care of me and made my crazy coffee just like I asked. Thank you Refuge employees, you were all great!

Build your own breakfast sandwich was delicious and hot. The loco mocha with almond milk was perfect, not too sweet, frothy, and smooth. Great after a red eye flight from Kona!

Absolutely amazing espresso martini made with real espresso brewed on the spot by Meena. I try espresso martinis in every location that offers them and this was perfect. Food is well portioned as well. I would go out of my way to eat here whenever I fly through Phoenix.

Jacob makes some great drinks, asked for a few different kinds of drinks and he hit the nail on the head everytime!

Naomi & Ely at The Refuge coffee food & wine are simply Marvelous!!!! This Duo is up there with Jordan and Pippen, Magic and Kareem, Kobe and Shaq, Bird and McHale, Splash Brothers Curry and Thompson!!! They are simply ! Exceeds all expectations with customer service and making personal connection! This location is a must stop, see, and support bc of them!!!!! 5 star ladies!!!!!

Great custumer service by Thomas! Great options from lattes to smoothies to adult beverages and mocktails! Appreciated Thomas modifying my coco loco latte to include an extra shot of espresso and light on the sweet.

It's fairly difficult to find some good food inside of an airport and I'm glad to see that The Refuge is an anomaly in this respect. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, and wine. I got a large caramel frappe, and a Phoenix club sandwich. Note that it costs money to put an espresso shot in your drinks. My bill came out to $23.29. The frappe was delicious. And although the sandwich wasn't huge, they crammed as many ingredients as they could into it which I appreciated. Service was amiable and attentive.

Fast and easy. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was very delicious. The woman at the register was extremely friendly. It's a small space but right by B gates

Disclaimer: I didn't get drinks and other reviews seem to rave about them ++ Staff- super friendly, breath of fresh air for an airport ~ Food- got the pheonecian and the strawberry salad. Portion size was large, hard to finish a salad by myself and the berries and dressing were good. It was made to order which was nice, but not something I'd order again if I wasn't in an airport. + ambiance- the look is nothing special, but the 90s hip hop and r & b were good

Staff was very friendly but too rushed and short staffed to make a quality coffee I believe. Had the dirty chai but unfortunately they use powdered chai which the grit of the powder actually came through while sipping. Not enjoyable. Hard to pass up a croissant so ordered The ultimate subbed turkey instead of the ham and it was buttery soft and flaky just like a croissant should be. Delicious While there a guy was complaining cause they gave his sandwich to the wrong person. Again I think if they weren't so rushed they do even better. I think I'd try again maybe a Normal cappuccino to see

Service was awesome! They went out of their way to make sure my drink was made the way I want it. They also played some fun music that really made it feel like a proper coffee shop and not just a coffee spot in an airport. All the employees seemed to be having a good time too which really just made for a great experience. The espresso itself was just okay hence the knock on one star. However the breakfast options smelled and looked great so maybe they make up for the coffee with the food!

The peeps working here were friendly, cool, and made a damn good margarita. I have to say it was ten times better than a place I went to right after for another margarita. Great rock/grunge/2000s music too.

The coffee is great. But, the chicken wrap - it's 90% lettuce inside of a flower tortilla. Maybe it's a one off fail. Hope so. The baristas are very friendly. If not for the wrap - I would have rated higher.

Everytime I talked to the staff it was like they just wanted me to leave. They answered my questions with contempt or a nonsense answer that had nothing to with my question. Very unprofessional.

Super friendly staff and good coffee. Had to get caffeinated during a layover and this was a great spot. They made the drinks perfect and were smooth and hot. Nice little seating area with hooks to hang clothes/purses to enjoy the coffee. The gentleman who took and made the order was really friendly and upbeat.

Would give this place 5 stars strictly for the 2000's pop-punk they were shredding, but I ordered a hot sandwich that came out ripping hot on top, and ice cold on the bottom half. They were kind enough to re-make the sandwich, but it was still cold in the center after the second go-around. Can't ask for much from an airport food vendor, but they claim to have freshly-made sandwiches which definitely is not the case. If you want to pay $15 for a sandwich, I'd recommend the OHSHO nextdoor.

I read all the reviews and thought to myself, "How could an airport restaurant be this great?" Well, the reviews were spot on! The service was amazing. I was greeted by Mina, who asked me how my day was going, and she seemed sincerely interested in my response. She happily took my order and explained in detail about all the delicious cookies they had for sale. I ended up getting the peanut butter oatmeal one, and she was not lying! It was amazing! While my salad was being made, I went to the restroom. As I was exiting the restroom, I realized I had left my phone on the counter. Walking back to get my salad, I see Mina running down the walkway holding my phone! It was the sweetest thing. She was chasing me down, and if she didn't find me, she was going to have them announce it on the loudspeaker! Talk about service! I am so grateful she found me! I got the salad, and that was delightful as well! Definitely did not feel like an airport experience. Special thanks to Superstar Employee Mina! I will be back next time I'm in Phoenix for sure!

Fresh coffee that is better the Starbucks and other places around the airport. The food is decent for airport. Pretty fast service on the go as well. No need to sit down and wait. Nice little corner to visit and chill if you're waiting for a while at Sky Harbor.

I wish I could have tried the coffee to give a better review but after waiting over 20 minutes with my plane about to leave I couldn't afford missing my flight. The cashier was pleasant but with the amount of people on that side of the terminal looking for coffee we might want more than one person preparing all of the drinks.

Naomi and Ely are amazing. They were super helpful with all the questions I had about my order. Loved being able to speak with them and the food was great as well! Super friendly and super helpful. We will stop by here on our next flight in.

Atmosphere Airport cafe Hours Open early and late Menu All your favs on the menu-hard to choose. Note-prices listed for wine are for 6 oz-larger sizes prices not listed. Also have beer and cocktails. Food Strawberry spinach salad very good. So much strawberries and bacon! Malbec is 6-7/10. Summary Convenient, great menu, fast friendly service. Note-The service is fast and personal-I had to organize and i think the server thought I was dissing her but I wanted to be ready

By far the happiest airport employees I have ever encountered! Whoever owns this business obviously treats their employees well because they are stoked to be at work and the 5 min interaction I had with them was great! Go here during your layover to get a drink and a smile! Also has good music playing great little ambiance!

Fiirst and foremost, amazing service! I was able to substitute turkey for ham on my ultimate croissant, and it was met with a smile and friendly conversation by Naomi. Second, the matcha that was suggested to me by Naomi is/was also outstanding! She even told me I could bring it back if I didn't like it. No way was bringing it back. It's too good!! Third, the food was good, however I'd suggest just a touch of fresh basil to put it in a league on par with the service. Overall, I'm definitely coming back for the service alone. Such a friendly, professional, vibe that made me feel human again. A Great Big Thanks to The Refuge and Naomi. Ten Stars!!!

Arriving at The Refuge Our cashier Luv- was so nice and helpful. She gave me recommendations on lattes and my Birthday Cake latte came out to perfection. I would come back based on her customer service alone. If you're over in terminal 4 be sure to check out this coffee shop!

I was in PHX Airport at B Terminal and stopped by here to try their Iced(can be hot as well)Lavender Latte with Oat milk(also have almond and soy). I love anything Lavender! The young lady was so nice and hospitable, she made me feel so welcome. This establishment is located at the end of Terminal B(B1-B13)by gate B9. I almost missed it, because I almost didn't go far enough, because I didn't think there was anything else back there. They also serve some food and baked goods. This is a hidden gem and you should definitely try, so you can try their great coffee/tea and their hospitality.

*** best coffee I've ever had in an airport *** OVERALL The lines may be long at The Refuge Coffee & Wine, but the wait is well worth it. Their bagels are also good. Both of my kiddos couldn't finish theirs, so they shared with me for once. ENVIRONMENT During COVID-19 restrictions (5/17/20), the line was long for ordering. Their small setup makes it seem even longer; however, if you're a cash-paying customer like I was, they may still have a worker taking patrons at a separate register. SERVICE The barista who took my cash payment was the same woman who was making all of the drinks. She was the epitome of customer service. Not only was she an efficient worker, she treated every single customer with an abundance of friendliness, clear communication (even with a mask on), and empathy. The other lady was equally friendly and communicative. Their kindness went a long, long way with me. Made my short flight back to L.A. better! MY FAVORITE PART... The service and the coffee! Also, my kiddos really liked the bagels. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... Having to spread the cream cheese on my kiddos' bagels myself. Lol. The food and coffee/chai hit the spot! Truly, I woke up with my babies early at 3 and because DIA was so busy so early, we didn't get to stop for coffee/food. Once we landed we headed straight for substance. But what sets this place at an absolute 5 star review is the service. Both the gentleman and female were so upbeat, patient and all around cheerful. I almost felt lucky to get to experience them! Idk when I will be back to Phoenix or the airport but if I am, this will be my first stop again. Oh! Bonus! They had oatmilk.

Ordered a hazelnut Latte, so flavorful and not excessively sweet. Also ordered the BLT croissant with turkey. This sandwich was perfect made. It was toasted and delicious! Not messy at all. The homemade kettle chips were the bomb! All in all, the best place I have eaten at in the Pheonix Airport.

Great positive business. First ones open and they are hustling. Upbeat music, fats service. Customer focused. Food and coffee is superb. They are a welcome sight at the start of another travel day. Worth the trip to this concourse even if your flight isn't.

OMG. A shot of vodka in my coffee and a boozy Fuzzy Naval pound cake This place is the best thing in this airport.

I am not sure what went wrong with when I ordered vs all the 5 star reviews. I ordered an iced latte (easy on ice) which basically somehow indirectly meant more milk (???) because the cup was not filled completely with ice. It was just like drinking milk that I paid $5 for 16oz somehow. I would have preferred to have less filled drink if it meant there would be coffee in it. I requested if this could be changed to have some coffee instead of pure milk but that would be additional $1. Kind of a bummer since the service lady was super nice and the reviews gave me high expectations. But the coffee maker had other plans!

They wine was great and the staff sweet and efficient. I would definitely come back while traveling. Stop in if your at the Phoenix Airport.

While on a layover, I got a strawberry spinach salad from here. I added a chicken breast, and it was delicious. Even more remarkable are the people working here. They are friendly, convivial, and seem to really enjoy working here. While I was eating, I heard most every customer being asked where they were coming from where they were going, and the staff seemed genuinely interested in everyone's stories. This was refreshing to body and soul from a day of traveling.

Airport food so don't expect too much. The breakfast panini just looked so sad and tasted alright. I will say though, the service is excellent. The workers are extremely friendly, striking up conversations. It's very welcoming. I just wish the food lived up to the quality of service.

On a layover, was craving something sweet with caffeine. The ice latte with the mocha flavor hit the spot. The "barista" was very knowledgeable, nice, and patient with all my questions. Definitely 5 star.

Friendly, FAST & tasty! Been here 3x during transfers in the Phoenix, concourse B. Every time, they ask how I'm doing. Their coffee & espressos are tasty and smooth. Today's Breakfast burrito was tasty & freshly made. All this while they are slammed busy, yet FAST. Starbucks beware!

I purchased a roasted plain bagel with cream cheese and the bread was old... you ca be even eat that bagel ... disgusting. When I went to the associate and explained that, she didn't care about it. They feel that the customers will not going back, so they really acting like they don't care.

The workers were incredibly kind at 6am after a very stressful weekend of traveling and the coffee and food was surprisingly good for airport food.

The staff is so friendly and offers such great service. Would definitely recommend not for just good coffee, but also food. My appreciation goes out to the staff. Thank you!

A an incredibly pleasing employee customer contact experience and wry good food & tasty coffee. The employees Cheerfully Greeted all, Confirmed Orders, Shared Small Communications and Wished All a Great Day. The lead cashier employee male and the ladies running quickly about the preparation area all worked together and Shared the Same Cheerful Attitude about Service. They served Coffe and Cheerfulness ! This will surely be my stop for coffee and food over the many others I've usually always chooses by line length. Much rather give my $12-15 to this business and share Tips with these Employees.

After missing our connection flight we were advised to get the gate 12, well it happens to be the last gate at the end of terminal at Phoenix airport. It was 7 am I was grumpy and my wife asking me why we missed our flight since it's always my fault on this occasions. Went to get coffee at this place, they were so pleasant and happy to see me and got me a perfect coffee. Asked me where I was heading and etc. I got my coffee and smile on my face until I saw my wife again and realized coffee is essential in a good marriage. Coffee 4 stars but service was definitely 5 stars.

Whoa.... Stay far away from this place! The drip coffee was the weakest that I have EVER tasted. Half does Folgers would have been better! Then the 'toasted plain bagel', this was not toasted, someone put it under their armpit for 40 seconds! And the flavor, it was of a store-bought Lender's frozen bagel. The only bright side was that they gave me TWO of those little single portion cups of Philly cream cheese. And PUHLEEZ stop trying to be Dutch Bros with your fake, insipid banter! Just give me my groul and let me get to my plane... Look, do NOT buy what these other reviewers are selling in their '5 star reviews! These people, Jenni M, Monika B, just to name a few are simply SELLING THEMSELVES, they love to see their names in print, even if it is a lowly Yelp review. They probably write a glowing review of every single contact they have every single day.
