"This Mexican chain opens a new location in Las Colinas, styled after Taxco — the region of Mexico from which co-owner Monica Reza hails. It’s always good to know where your next bowl of queso fundido comes from." - Courtney E. Smith

The young lady who seated us was very friendly and helpful. She even allowed me to have the breakfast tacos even though we arrived after 3pm. We asked to be seated in the bar area (at the window) and that was not a problem either although she was initially walking us to the inside of the restaurant. The barman who took over from her was also very nice. My tacos were tasty and my husband's fajita-styled dish was also great. His portion was huge! I've never had the salsa they serve with the chips before, and the gentleman had no problem telling me the ingredients. The bathrooms were also very clean. All in all, a memorable experience, and one we'll repeat if we are ever in the area again.

Today we came to try The Reserve and it was beyond our expectations. Maria served us and she was just Great! She had a great smile and vibe! The food was absolutely delicious! We couldn’t be happier with the service Maria brought to us! Highly recommend 10 out of 10 Come see Maria and try this food! You will not be disappointed!

Ok, this place looks a little fancy, it is but then its a good price on some items. I recommend you going early or 11am-12pm they have some great specials. It's our first time and well I was impressed because we sometimes dont get a good flavor at places like this. What I recommend because that's what we ordered. Is the 2 for $20 breakfast item. It's only from 11am-12pm, any 2 breakfast items I think is what I seen. We both had the chilaquiles, 5 out of 5 meal. It's fried corn chips, with a tomatillos sauce, cheese, cream and 1 egg and steak, side of beans and a little lettuce 😋. Recommend for sure you will not be disappointed. Follow it with a mango drink and boom its fantastic 👌. Service is great Maria is a great waitress. The restaurant was super clean and the forks and knifes very clean. Can't wait to go again and maybe try something else.

Google
This is an exquisite experience, upscale dining at competitive pricing. Everyone was super nice Maria and Magnolia let us know about the other specials as well. No need to super dress up, but it is a nice place for a proposal or birthday. We willc9me again for the mimosas.

Having heard numerous positive reviews, I finally had the opportunity to visit this establishment. The restaurant’s ambiance was exceptionally inviting, and the captivating music transported me to the vibrant streets of Mexico. The attentive service provided by Maria was truly commendable, as she generously offered recommendations and ensured my satisfaction. The culinary offerings were equally impressive, with the churros and hoya coffee serving as delightful desserts. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and extend my gratitude to Maria for her exceptional service.

Google
Food, atmosphere, and service was absolutely phenomenal! There were so many options on the menu, I wanted to try them all. The ambiance was inviting and all the employees that we interacted with were so personable. Will definitely be back again when we are in town and may even make a special trip to Los Colinas just to come back to eat here!

Google
We came here for a parents night out and i was hesitant when we arrived but everything changed once inside. The atmosphere was great and service has been amazing. Our server Maria was very attentive, nice and welcoming. The empanadas were amazing. Definitely adding it to places I go back to.

Google
Excellent service from Maria Mendoza. She was very helpful and welcoming. I enjoyed the Enchiladas and the margaritas! Enjoy and for sure make sure u ask for Maria! Saludos and enjoy the tacos amigo

Yelp
This was an awesome experience.I found The Reserve while restaurant surfing for a Sunday Brunch and No dissapointments here. The food and service were on point.Waitresse was extra attentive and very nice. The kitchen staff and maitre'd came over for a chat and it made the whole experience much more genuine. Flavorful and stomach filling portions. The Ambience and location makes it a perfect restaurant for a date or Cocktail Hour out or just lounging listening to the great authentic Mexican music!! The Old Fashions are on point!!

Edward D.

Yelp
The reserve was alright. First the service was a little slow. Second, I'm still not fixed on Texas mexican food. Third, for the quality of food we received. I thought it was a little pricey. The ambiance was nice, it's a nice place to enjoy a meal. I had rice and beans, with a quesadilla. The rice was a little bland, the beans were very good. The quesadilla was fine. I'm not going to sit here and bash this facility. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people who enjoys this place. Although I said it was fine. I do not have any urge to return

Joanna M.

Yelp
I enjoyed the trompo tacos! They were very authentic. The lunch deals were great. The server was really personable and kind. The inside was well-decorated. I will definitely come again!

Ty S.

Yelp
This place is mid at best, honestly find some place else to go. The prices are ok but the food is just not good. Very bland and lacking flavor. The service was ok however they sat us next to a window in direct sunlight it was very hot. The restaurant is decorated nicely but that's about it

hayley

Yelp
The 10 Mixed Taco Tower was PHENOMENAL 10/10 recommend the Trompo with the grilled pineapple. Great presentation and even better margs! Our server Keyri was amazing!!!

Christy P.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was awful. Waitress spilled salsa and water on 2 of the guest. Order was placed wrong on 3 plates. Bill was charged wrong it was placed on the wrong credit cards. Had to repeat all orders to her again for billing purposes and got them wrong. Overall very disappointed experience. Will not be returning.

Crystie G.

Yelp
Ordered to go through DoorDash. Order was not prepared by time given. No napkins in the bag. Horchata drink tastes like spoiled milk. Definitely will not be going back.

Willie G.

Yelp
Great place for a date night without breaking the bank. Your lady will love the ambiance and aesthetic and you'll love the food. You can't beat the taco tower! Delicious flavors.

Pali R.

Yelp
The food was good. The Reserve Special was best dish. The arrachera was good too but the 3 tacos are just great.

Nhu-mai V.

Yelp
Went here for a work Christmas party. It was a nice quiet restaurant with a lot of food options. I had the octopus dish which was delicious. It was cooked very well. Not over done and chewing as it can be if not prepared correctly. The rice that accompanied it pairs well with the sauce on the octopus. The staff were very attentive since we were a big party.

Acacia B.

Yelp
Went for drinks, staff was friendly but the place reeked of vomit. Had to leave it was so bad - felt like it stuck to my clothes. Wouldn't recommend.

Michael D.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this. The street corn appetizer was cold. Absolutely prepared in advance and scooped out of a container. Soupy and lacked flavor. Had the enchiladas with the red sauce. White beans? Rice was not Spanish rice. And the enchiladas were mediocre at best. Biggest problem here was battling the MANY small flies attacking my food. Is this normal in Dallas? Service was fine. Ambiance... techno with a Latin flair? Bizarre.

Chef K.

Yelp
The food was delicious and service was excellent!! The taco tower and empanadas elotes was a little lacking tho. Rice dessert was above average at best, but overall an amazing experience. Ambiance was very sleek/modern with instagram friendly location. All in all when visiting again I will definitely stop by.

Claude T.

Yelp
Wow! Great food, service, and drinks! Had the breakfast tacos with sausage and my wife had the Migas and we both loved them! Their cinnamon coffee was delicious and I a had a Tequila Sunrise with Tequila Ocho which is a quality traditional tequila with no additives! This was on a Sunday morning and we didn't have to wait! We live in East Texas and lived in Fort Worth and we came to Irving this weekend for the Tequila Mezcal Expo! We definitely recommend The reserve and we will be back here sometime soon! Hope you all can make it here!!!

Debbie W.

Yelp
Not a great experience!! The service was extremely slow. The drinks were terrible!! Ordering from an iPad. The only edible food was vegetarian or the trompo. Did I say everything was slow!! And then to top it off they added a 20% tip that had we had time we would have sat there forever to make it worth while!! The ladies bathroom was gross. For ambiance- there was a cool Flaming thing on the taco tray!!

Melody T.

Yelp
Very beautiful spot! A few friends came out to listen to some jazz tonight! Great vibe! Awesome customer service and good drinks and food! Outside or inside you can sit! Awesome selection of tequila and whiskey too!

Dwaneika C.

Yelp
Okay so walked in and immediately met my friend at the bar where I was recommended the mango margarita top shelf; I can honestly Singh was one of the best margaritas I've ever had. We then got a table inside of the restaurant and it was next to a very bad odor so we asked the hostess to move us; her name was Myra And she was super nice and accommodating and moved us to another spot with no hesitation. The salsa and chips were to die for and I ordered two Pastore tacos and one chicken taco and I was pleasantly surprised at how much it tasted like on the street street tacos so I will definitely be back and our server was Jesus he did an amazing job and everything was timely everything was hot and he was super polite and accommodating

Abigail F.

Yelp
Being straightforward from the jump: this is not the place to go if you are picky about service. You will not get the standard of service you might be accustom to at other restaurants. I'm a server so I'm usually pretty gracious with my servers, but even I was like ... wow okay. BUTTTTTTT the food makes it 100% worth it to me!! SERVICE: Okay, so like I said service is mediocre at best. On a Saturday night, they had like 6? people working in the entire restaurant. Granted it wasn't that busy, but we waited 20 minutes to get our order taken with no waters or drinks. Once our waitress took our order, food and drinks, everything did come out fast. The server and everyone was sweet, just not the speed and customer service most restaurants adhere themselves to. She did come make sure everything tasted good, but getting to us at first and following up with check were both like 20 minute waits. Again, to me this was fine because I loved the food. AMBIANCE: It's cute af in here! The decor is very cute and Instagrammable! FOOD: This is some authentic Mexican food. They are just here to serve you simple delicious food and they excel! We got the Queso Flameado (I'm a white girl lol so I definitely am going to spell things wrong and I'm so sorry) and it was cool to watch them make table-side! Great flavor, could use a slightly bigger portion but totally shareable for 2! My boyfriend got the 3 Amigos and loved every bite! I got the chicken quesadillas and seriously I loved. Best quesadillas I've had basically anywhere and tasted delicious dipped in the provided guac and the queso! IN SUMMARY: Mid to low tier service for top tier food! Great place to go if you want to sit and chat for a while because they are not going to bug you for the table.Put in your appetizer, entree, and drink order at the same time and your golden! Also a good to-go option (I saw one to go orders get taken and go out while we were waiting on getting greeted.)

BooBoo N.

Yelp
The food, drinks, and service were okay. I would try it again, but my first visit was nothing to rave about.

Thanh H.

Yelp
Excellent trompo tacos. Great deal for 10 tacos. Great drink selections as well. Daily happy hour prices from 3-7pm

Lindsey W.

Yelp
Not an authentic Mexican restaurant at all. The food and drinks were extremely disappointing. I don't understand how you can mess up a Rum & Coke, but they did. The free chips and salsa, although stale, were probably the best part of the meal... While waiting to order, we considered leaving due to the slow service, we should have walked out then. We didn't have many options so we stayed. We ordered tamales, gorditas, veggie fajitas, as well as the Taco Tower served on Walmart Tupperware. Had to wait a couple of minutes for the sparkler to go out to dig in. The food was extremely bland and inedible. Avoid avoid avoid. Go to Gloria's a couple miles up the road.

Jillian M.

Yelp
Great food and great cocktails! It's nice to have a later night (12AM) place to sit and enjoy on the weekends. The staff are super friendly, so we like to sit at the bar. Highly recommend the watermelon candy and reserve mojito cocktails for those that enjoy sweeter drinks. The trompo tower and chimichanga were so good, especially with the house salsas. Still dreaming of the refried beans and queso fresco too. We're definitely headed back here for happy hour and brunch!

Nylah E.

Yelp
Soooooo good! I highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican eats. The food is fresh and very tasty. Happy Hour is from 3-7 M-F. Good options. I recommend the Barbacoa Nachitos and tacos. Tacos are $2.50 all day on Tuesdays. Also came on a Tuesday around 5pm and got to play Mexican bingo. I won a $25 gift card and I came right back the next day. No shame! It's a vibe, truly. Very welcoming atmosphere and decorated nicely.

Natalya R.

Yelp
I came here for a Sunday brunch with my friend, who also happened to be in town. I enjoyed my time here, and the food was delicious, too. The staff were attentive and cared for us while we dined in. The restaurant is so lively with its decoration and interior designs; this could have more potential if they advertised their restaurant more.

Selene R.

Yelp
Next door was too packed so decided to give it a try Food was pretty good the place ambiance was good The service was disappointing But I'll go again cuz I liked everything I tried.. so May be u should try it ((salsa was amazing))

Robin S.

Yelp
This is a real nice place for either a meal or tapas and drinks. The happy hour is the real deal. Caution!! They close early most of the week so check their hours before you drive over (twice) to closed doors. Like we did!! Worth the tenacity to return though. Will frequent when we visit DFW EVERYTIME moving forward.

Isabella K.

Yelp
The servers lie to the managers about what you order and then charge you for the thing you didn't order or eat

Dejah C.

Yelp
I came here with a friend & I was sooooo disappointed. The service was trash! Food was bland! I really have nothing nice to say. I went to the one in Las Colinas if that makes a difference! Overall, I was say 2/10 and that's kinda being nice. I'm not too picky and hardly leave reviews, but I wanted to let y'all know what you would get it you ate here.

Virginia O.

Yelp
Putting two stars because how you gonna say your hours of operation are till 11 pm but you really close at 10 pm. ????!!?!?? I haven't been inside to receive service only been to the bar to have drinks after work and even then the drinks are mid. Only thing that brings me back is the trompo tacos. I came here once to pick up online orders and there was a jazz band playing near the host area that the hostess thought I was trying to eat in and couldn't hear me well due to the band. If live music is playing place them somewhere seen by customers but also to where you don't have to yell right at the ears of hostesses to understand what you are there for.

Mia L.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday and the place was empty... I figured the rain kept people away. I was wrong. This is NOT authentic Mexican food. The food was bland it lacked the basic salt and pepper. The staff is ok, however we had to continuously ask for the basics like silverware to eat after our food was dropped off. For the price there are way better places to eat. But if you like overpriced bland chewy food this is the spot for you.

Nisha I.

Yelp
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Irving. The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were amazing! The salsa has a kick to it, which we enjoyed very much. We tried the expresso martini - DELICIOUS! Cannot wait to go back!

Shubha S.

Yelp
Went there for drinks and light meal on a week night. We were the only people in the bar and the restaurant was not very busy either. The service in the bar was excellent. The bar tender answered all our questions about the resraurant and the food! We were happy to see some vegetarian options and the bar tendor informed us that thay can make a lot of dishes veg or vegan! The potato taquitos and chicked sope we tried were excellent. Salsas were very tasty. We will surely be back to try the happy hour and other food options.

Sara M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Our bartender was awesome, so attentive, kind, and helpful. Management seemed a little off which is why I am not at a 5 star. We had margaritas which were delicious and the taco "tower" which is actually a tray but still super yummy. We will come back for the tacos as the deal was awesome $20 for 10 tacos.

Lesley H.

Yelp
The food is very forgettable - and the service is not great. The atmosphere is pretty but the rest isn't good. The service is very lazy - waitstaff rolling silverware in the dining room and hanging out.

Cin V.

Yelp
Food is good. Service at the bar could be better. The main service person was busy even though the restaurant or bar was not crowded & seemed unhappy. No greeting & never a smile along with not being attentive. A manager & another service person were friendly & attentive after seeing us sit for a period of time which was appreciated.

Felicia S.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We were seated right away. So thankful for our server MONICA!!! So was patient and polite ~ she gets100%

Billy D.

Yelp
Service is great at the bar with Kevin and Aliyah as our bartenders. They're kind and hospitable and super attentive. The food is a hit or miss honestly but you just have to find what you like. The parillada is disappointing to say the least but the chimichanga and tacos were great. For context: The parillada was a fajita platter piled high with mostly peppers and onions, I ordered the larger portion which had 2 pieces of shrimp, 4 very small and thin slices of chorizo, chicken slivers that they use for the tacos and a few chunks of steak. Honestly, make everything on the parillada fresh, up the portions and increase the price and you'll make people happy. The chimichanga was phenomenal and the tacos de tripa and trompo were amazing. The drinks are great as well. My wife loves the watermelon candy and I drink micheladas and vampiros.

Ken P.

Yelp
This is a new restaurant with friendly staff. The brunch is SOLID!!! But if your looking for authentic Mexican food this is more of a Tex Mex establishment. When looking at the menu and inquiring about the food you quickly find out where they cut corners to save on food cost. For instance the aqua frescas are not prepared fresh, they come in a liquid concentrate made with artificial flavors. They have a menu item with meat that is grilled with charcoal. They order the meat grilled with charcoal and just heat it up. The average price per plate is $20 personally I expect higher quality for the price point. I settled on the chicken burrito. It's tasted really good it's a step or two above Taco Bell. If you like Taco Bell and prefer to have it in an establishment that serves great cocktails with TV's so you can watch the game. This is your place!!!!! Solid 3.5 stars.

Long D.

Yelp
A positively outstanding restaurant and experience from start to finish! Let's start with the eye catching decor. At first entry, check out the photo worthy flower wall immediately to your right. If you're feeling particularly parched, look to your left and check out the cleverly raised bar space! The entire restaurant is roomie and modern while still rooted in its cuisine. Drinks - I only had a chance to try their carajillo but it is fantastically well done. For anyone looking for an espresso martini, I invite you to try this instead! The moment of truth - FOOD! Queso fundido is delicious as all queso should be and the house tomatillo salsa served warm, making it so much better than your traditional Mexican restaurant salsa. Quesadilla with fajita chicken has a hit of acid that really took it the extra mile! Chimichanga is outstanding, have to try it with the barbacoa. The greatest surprise, though, was the rice that came with the chimichanga! Most of the time, the beans and rice are an afterthought and admittedly the beans came in right at expectations but the RICE! That side of rice had no business being so good! Finally, the service. Team was quick, attentive, and the check includes a QR code you can scan and pay right at the table! Would absolutely done here again! Looking forward to trying the trompo tower and torta's next time!

Molly R.

Yelp
Great authentic Mexican food and drinks. Staff is friendly. We would definitely be back. Annie was our server and was so sweet and helpful.

Paloma E.

Yelp
Love their trompo tower tacos but me and my mom got mean mugged as we were leaving by a staff member that was the host/cleaning it was so ugly - typical las colinas though ok food and crappy service

Shafia A.

Yelp
We actually were planning to go next door for brunch and it was so packed in there we ended up coming here instead. I am really glad we did. We all really liked the place. The host and servers were all so great. Place was really clean and ambiance looks and feels great. They had great options for vegans and vegetarians. Even has a great menu option for brunch. I tried mole for the first time and loved it. They were accommodating to all our requests and needs. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We ordered a couple of drinks and even though the pina colada I ordered did not taste how you would normally expect it, it was still so delicious. I loved it and even took some to go. We will definitely be returning here for some good Tex-Mex.

Amanda R.

Yelp
I had high expectations because it looked amazing online! Unfortunately, the food was just average. Prices are great but wasn't impressed with the Migas and probably won't try again for breakfast. Maybe the lunch or dinner is better!

Mai V.

Yelp
I love this place but my experience today WAS TERRIBLE! We ordered the happy hour frozen margs and some food. Both were great but my issue happened when I ordered shots. Originally I ordered a Espolon repo and got blanco. I was sitting by the bar so I saw them pour it and I realized they weren't giving me Espolon but 1800. Those two tequilas ARE NOT the same nor the same price! So I expressed to my waitress that they had been over charging me and giving me something I didn't ask for and she was not very empathetic about it. She literally said "girl just drink it."

Cory C.

Yelp
We came here for brunch because everything else was packed. We were seated immediately, the food was spectacular. $20 for 2 brunches, anything you want, no except0ions. A bottle of sparkling wine for mimosas is only $15. Victoria, the bartender, is amazing. Just try it, you won't be disappointed.

Maurizio V.

Yelp
Great great food, excellent service and good music too. Very nice ambience and Johanna was very attentive and prompt server.

Jade L.

Yelp
I ordered the churros. The churros were filled with caramel and had a nice, crispy exterior and was soft and gooey on the inside. I loved the chocolate drizzle and the strawberries on the side as they complemented the churros nicely. They are super sweet because of the caramel but I thought they were excellent churros and would get them again.

Jay M.

Yelp
Great service and food! Nice short walk from Embassy Suites! Give them a try! You won't be disappointed. PS. great happy hour prices

Leo G.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, if you expect a full meal don't come here. Food wasn't as hot as it should be. No salsa offered. Don't substitute this place for the market place location.
