Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country Destination Guide

"An ultra-luxe, glass-encased dining room with sweeping vineyard, desert and lake views that serves Indigenous-inspired cuisine alongside wines from certified-organic, single-vineyard Bordeaux reds and Alsatian whites; guests can book an exclusive cellar experience in a hidden wine cave where they dine beneath a custom Chihuly sculpture for a dramatic, intimate meal." - Carrie Honaker Carrie Honaker Carrie Honaker is a Florida-based writer who has hauled oyster cages off the Forgotten Coast of Florida, made Guavaberry Liqueur with a 7th generation distiller on St. Maarten, and stomped cacao pods in Grenada. Absolutely stunning winery! The architecture, the sculptures, and the surrounding landscape are breathtaking. It’s not just about wine here—it’s an experience. Peaceful vibes, beautiful views, and a perfect spot to soak in the scenery. A must-visit if you're in the area!

We had an unreal experience here at The Restaurant at Phantom Creek. The food is absolutely delicious. The beef tartare, the char and pork belly were all excellent. The desserts were amazing too. The service was super friendly. The wine pairing is definitely worth doing too. Definitely will be back again.

Who would have thought that the best restaurant in the South Okanagan region is located within the winery? It's incredible to enjoy such delicious food throughout the entire journey in this area. We spent an afternoon tasting their afternoon tea and dinner, and it's a remarkably high-quality restaurant that is highly recommended.

If I could give this place more stars I certainly would. You know the food is good when at some point a foodie forgets to take shots of the dishes, and just digs in because it looks so good. Beautiful restaurant at the heart of a wonderful establishment. The staff were very courteous and accommodating. We were surprised and delighted at how cosy the inside felt and it was very well regulated in terms of temperature and exposure. Now, the food. The food is outstanding. Flavours are masterfully balanced and each dish tells a story. We did a wine paired lunch, and chose dishes that allowed us to sample the variety of offerings. I started well but evidently abandoned my photo journaling after a few dishes to focus on the noms. You simply have to experience it to understand. My respects to the chef and all the staff.

The level of service provided is truly outstanding, complemented by an upscale and inviting dining atmosphere that exudes both refinement and comfort. Furthermore, the midday set menu boasts a reasonable pricing structure, enhancing the overall appeal of the dining experience.

Google
Found this place to be very pretentious. We tried to have lunch but we didn't have a reservation and we were turned away so we opted for a charcuterie and wine tasting. The young server was very well rehearsed on the tasting notes of what was being served. None of the wines were impressive enough to warrant the big prices so we left empty handed. Hard to understand why the prices are nearly double that of all the neighbors.

What a treat this place was. - Absolutely one of the best beef tartares I've ever had. Tendon chips were so creative and paired very well. - Foie Gras was very delicious too. Everything came together just perfectly. - Gorgeous setting with a beautiful view. - Staff was top notch and provided an excellent service.

Google
Best restaurant in the Okanagan Valley. It’s $50 two course lunch is a ridiculous bargain. The view is stellar. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. A shame it doesn’t open for dinner.

Yelp
Great winery, nice experience. But the hidden gem is the restaurant - it's possibly the best in the area for higher-end food, or at least in the top 3.

Yelp
After coming up from the US on a trip, traveling all over visiting wineries in Oregon and Washington and now Canada we finally found it, the absolute worst winery. Unbelievably poor customer service. Clearly over staffed yet we were refused to enjoy a tasting because they "aren't currently set up for that due to staffing issues." Two tables in a huge tasting room with ( what we saw anyway) 5 staff members, yet no time to do a tasting. Pass on this winery, so many lovely people making fantastic wine in this area they don't deserve your money or time. If you can't be bothered , just let people know. Worst. Winery. Ever.

Yelp
A friend and I visited Osoyoos this week and decided to do some local wine tastings in a few of the wineries. We decided on Phantom Creek Estates as one of our options. Upon arrival, we were informed that the tastings wenre $15 each and that we would each have three. The female sommelier offered us the wine list to choose from, and then shortly after proceed to talk about joining their wine club. We were not too interested as we both already belong to different wine clubs. Another group came in at this time at which point the female sommelier paid full attention to them, leaving us sitting there waiting after she quickly went through our three pours. I at some point I has asked her to try something on the wine list, that was open to pour, and it was one of the more expensive bottle as I was looking for a special bottle for a gift. I was told that perhaps if we thought we'd like to join the wine club then I could try it!!! I was so incredibly offended. When we finished our tastings, we wanted to just purchase a couple bottles and leave but had to ask another person as our server never came back to us, she basically ignored us after that. I would never come back to this winery ever again. It was such a disappointing tasting experience, with a pretentious and pushy atmosphere. Luckily, several other wineries were amazing, friendly, informative and we purchased a few dozen bottles of fabulous wines before departing for Vancouver. I would highly recommend Silver Sage, Burrowing Owl and NKMip if you're looking for great wine tasting experiences and amazing wines.

Yelp
A stunningly beautiful winery that's a work of art. The path up to the winery from the parking lot to the main buildings as you walked underneath the two art statues provided an impressive grand entrance. I've noticed different background music depending on where you are standing and I thought that was a subtle, yet well thought out detail. When you were close to the outside of the main tasting room, the music was slightly more upbeat and fun. The music that was closer towards the restaurant was more spa like and relaxing. The view you get to immerse yourself in during the tasting is breathtaking. Unfortunately, due to the smoke, we weren't able to sit outside, which was a shame and not Phantom Creek's fault. We had the premium tasting with the charcuterie board and it was worth it. The charcuterie board was unique and not like any other boards we've had during our wine tastings. The staff were so knowledgeable and experienced. They were able to answer all our questions we had. Our favorite wine was the Syrah, but you had to join the wine club in order to purchase it. The only thing they needed to work on is the amount of flies inside the tasting room. I know it's fly season, but there should be some way to trap the flies on sticky paper and etc because it took away from the amazing experience as you're trying to swat away flies. We didn't want them to land on the food and one even got into the wine glass and they should have replaced it.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning winery. Top of the art structure and views. Definitely beautiful pictures are to be taken here - but that is also what you get. The crowd was young and more focused on the Instagram posts. We witnessed several photo ops and it ruined the experience. We sat outside (which is beautiful) but we requested to sit inside. It was smoking hot and extremely windy. We actually got to watch a storm roll in and it was beautiful. But the wind made the menus fly off and the glasses rattle. Our whites and rose (3 in total) were sitting outside already and was too warm. I think that really changed the taste of the wine for me. The reds were much better but overly priced and not worth the money. The saving grace for this winery was Juliette. She was OUTSTANDING! She had so much knowledge and wanted to share with us. She explained so much insiders stuff (we were very interested) and we learned so much from her. I can honestly say she made our experience. She is such an asset to this winery! Thank you, Juliette!

Yelp
An amazing winery! The wine here is so good and the staff were amazing. The architecture at this winery is spectacular. We can't wait to visit again and check out the restaurant!
