Retreat Review - Green Lake - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Retreat is a great neighborhood place to grab a macchiato and work when you need to be surrounded by activity. People are always coming in and out of here, and there’s also an outdoor patio overlooking Green Lake. Not to mention that you could also drink cocktails and eat upscale bar snacks like burrata or braised short ribs. Your go-to sidewalk espresso hut definitely doesn’t have that. The best part is that if you need a break, there’s a 2.8-mile lakeside walk outside the door." - Aimee Rizzo

Life changing was my husband’s exact words. We visited The Retreat for the first time and this won’t be our last! We had a couples massage with Megan and Carrie and they were both phenomenal! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with such pleasant and friendly faces! The massage experience was 10/10 and they even had a nice shower with great products to enhance the refreshing experience! We will for sure be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best facial I’ve ever had! I booked a facial with Destiny for my 35th birthday, and it was truly next-level from start to finish. The treatment itself was relaxing, thorough, and left my skin glowing like never before. Destiny’s technique and attention to detail were unmatched. The front desk staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel extra special. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, it was 10/10 service. Highly recommend!

Carrie was the greatest experience for my first time at this site. Everyone was attentive from time I entered into the cozy facility. Definitely returning monthly!

Greg was amazing! My first massage experience was great. He explained what would be happening, asked me if I had any questions. Checked in with me regularly during the session. Worked out A LOT of stress I didn’t even know I had.

I had my very first professional massage with Derek yesterday for my birthday, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, he made me feel so comfortable and at ease. He was incredibly professional, attentive, and also very helpful with answering all my questions since it was my first time. I left feeling like a brand-new person—super relaxed and refreshed. It was the perfect way to celebrate my day, and I truly can’t wait to be back. Thank you, Derek, for such a memorable and special experience!

Experience at The Retreat was wonderful. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. Destiny was amazing when it came to doing my facial. Will definitely go back to her in the future. She shared product information and skincare tips without pushing in store products to purchase. Loved her approach to caring for skin and self.

Beautiful environment! India and Seth were both amazing. This was my mother and I’s first time having massages and they both made it an unforgettable experience ❤️

Yelp
If you work hard this is the perfect place to relax & wind down just as much. I entered the nicely decorated lobby area & checked in easily. I've been to this spa many times over the years & recently noticed the skin & hair care products. Upon checking in you get a private locker to put your belongings. Then you can go into the bathroom to change into a soft robe with slippers, which were clean & smelled really refreshing. Next, you can sit in the waiting area until your masseuse comes to escort you to the massage room. It was relaxing white noise playing with dim lighting. Megan did a great job on my deep tissue massage. She wasn't too rough & let me chill while asking if I needed anything. I was given a complimentary mimosa afterwards, which I drank in the dry sauna. As a mom of two toddlers, it was the decompression I needed to feel so refreshed for the rest of the week! Definitely recommend as a Valentine's Day gift.

Yelp
How customers are treated my wife let you know the job wasn't being done right and instead of fixing y'all half assed it to get her out of there would leave zero stars but not option was warned about this place but gave benefit of doubt

Sharnae S.

Yelp
I went for my birthday to do a lymphatic drain and it was a great experience. I had Grace as my masseuse. She was patient and explained each step so that I wouldn't be alarmed. I walked out feeling very refreshed.

Yelp
The Retreat is the best spa in Baton Rouge. The prices are fantastic and they have a wonderful staff! Carrie is a phenomenal massage therapist, truly taking the time to listen to her clients and work on troubling areas for them. I always feel better after a visit with her! From the moment you check in, you feel taken care of at The Retreat. Heather at the front desk is so welcoming and sets the tone for a really relaxing appointment.

Veronica N.

Yelp
While the venue is petite the service is absolutely fantastic and the experience is great. My masseuse, Carrie, was one of the best I had regarding listening to injuries and requests and then amazing technique. They also have small individual dry saunas which was great before my service. Anytime I visit Baton Rouge I will definitely book service.

Yelp
This was my first time at The Retreat (I'm a 70 year old male). I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Shay. She was very professional and her technique was excellent. I had a few problem areas (shoulder, hip) which I pointed out to her and she took special care on these areas. I will return to this spa.

Yelp
Holy moly - do yourself a favor and book an appointment stat! I can only speak of having a deep tissue massage here with Shay, but it was absolutely amazing! It's been quite a while since I had a massage, even though I'm pretty hard on my body with exercise. I explained to Shay where I thought my neediest areas were, and she found all of them and then some! My muscles haven't felt this good in quite a while - already looking to book another appointment in the near future.

Garrett G.

Yelp
The massage was great. Daquan did well and was communicative throughout as necessary. Lots of hot towels used at different times which felt great and added to the massage. I will book again.

Yelp
My husband and I love coming here for couples massages. The atmosphere is always calming and relaxing. The showers, the drinks, the robes all of it have us leaving feeling relaxed and smelling good. I also love that we can book online!

Yelp
My sister and I went here a while and had an amazing experience. The staff is very friendly and they genuinely care about providing the best service possible

Jo Ann C.

Yelp
Maria did an outstanding job. I had a 120 min Swedish and Hot Stone Massage. The best massage ever. I will be back soon.Room was very cold. But I survived Destiny did a great facial. My skin felt so soft and cleaned. The table was too high. Needs to have a safe step stool or adjust the tables in each rom the same height.

Yelp
We both enjoyed our massages with Lasonda & Seth today. Lasonda was my masseuse, and she was awesome. The atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful, and the service is excellent.

Brianna K.

Yelp
Such a wonderful experience at The Retreat this morning. Greeted by a smiling receptionist and brought back to a calm relaxation space while I awaited my massage. Shay was a thorough and kind masseuse who listened to my needs and provided a therapeutic experience. Already scheduled my next massage!

Cindy K.

Yelp
Relaxing atmosphere and great massage therapists. This is my go-to spot for massages in Baton Rouge.

Yelp
I love coming here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My massage therapist Jessica was fantastic. She made sure I understood my service and explained what to expect during. She was very friendly but also let me relax and enjoy the service. I would absolutely recommend her and see her again. My facial was with Tamara. She was very nice and friendly. She checked my skin and asked about any issues but determined my skin was in good condition. The service was an hour but felt longer which was nice. I highly recommend this spa. It is clean, the staff ask if you need anything to drink often, the robes and sandals are very nice and comfortable the relaxation area is very pretty and open w nice lighting. Overall just very satisfied.

Yelp
This was my first time ever going to a spa and I was excited and a bit anxious. I chose to come here for a girls' day with a friend. We saw some great reviews and decided to give it a shot. The location is gorgeous. It smells so good and you immediately feel relaxed upon entering. We changed into fresh robes and slippers in a gorgeous bathroom/changing room and then we were offered complimentary drinks. The mimosas are SOOO good, I wish I knew what kind of champagne and juice they used. We had 60 min Swedish/Relaxation massages with Chris and Keshia who were both very kind and patient. They took their time to explain what to do and made sure we were comfortable. Gosh, the actual massage? Words aren't enough to explain the relief and peak relaxation I felt. Chris made sure to focus on any areas that were tense. The crazy part is I didn't even tell him--he just could tell by feeling the muscle which is impressive to me. It just made me feel like there were very skilled and knowledge team members at The Retreat. The Swedish/Relaxation is a good starting point for anyway who is a first timer at The Retreat to get a feel for the standard pressure used. I want to try the deep tissue massage next time! We also got an Aroma FootBath. The scrubs and lotions smelled amazing. We were constantly impressed throughout the spa day. One of the massage chairs/pedicure tubs was broken though so my friend was not able to use the chair or have the jets on. Luckily, she did not mind and still enjoyed the experience but I personally hope it gets fixed soon because everything counts for an experience like this. Especially for the costs. We ended our pamper day by using the sauna followed by a quick cool shower. The sauna is big enough for two people each (2 total). I'm usually not a big fan of sweating but i would be lying if I didn't feel cleansed afterwards. The sauna helped me detox and release all the toxins from my body. Wayne was very helpful and so funny, too! It was just really refreshing to interact with a team that all put great customer service as a top priority. I was so focused on enjoying the day I hardly took pictures! Hope to come back soon :)

Yelp
My significant other and I had the couples massage on 2/19. Both of us went to change and was given the shared between patrons the .20cent white beach slippers and the 'brown' robe which is shared between patrons and not washed in-between use after each patron. Know if you go there, the slippers and robe you will be given will not be clean and is shared w/all the other people. I wondered why a place didn't have clean and fluffy white robes, but you'll immediately find out why, you'll notice you're given a 'brown' robe; check the inside tag in the robe and you'll see how dingy and unclean the tag is....just smell the robe. Dirty. The white flip flops are dirty and scuffed up. The place is not clean. The trash was overflowing. There is hair and debris everywhere on the floors and counters and empty water bottles around. You will literally be sticking to the floor in the used dirty slippers that you'll be given. The floor throughout the place has NEVER been swept or mopped or shampooed. In the main walkway the floor is Black w/sticky gunk. We both declined the cocktail offer for fear the glassware most likely wasn't cleaned. Each of us had separate masseuse ladies. I had Bridgette and she did an awesome body massage job. 5 stars for Bridgette. I believe my significant others masseuse' name was Shay, a cute Black girl and he said she gave a 5-star massage. He tipped both ladies. The massage room we were in has a wall mirror; the wall mirror has not been cleaned. Looks like oil and some type of prints are all over the mirror in the massage room. Overall, both massage ladies gave a full 5-star body massage. Put your health first as you will be sharing the 'robe' and 'slippers' and pray you don't get a rash. The Retreat atmosphere and cleanliness is a 1 star. Some advice to The Retreat... you can easily hire a cleaning company to come in and clean up the place a few nights a week. You can also hire a laundry service and you can order online unisex disposable slippers in bulk.

Yelp
I've been going to The Retreat for many years now. I use many of the spas in town and this one is in there with the best. Always get great facials and massages there.

Yelp
Purchased a couples massage and it was a great experience. This was one of the best massages we've had. Super relaxing.

Yelp
First of all, they have top-notch, friendly, courteous, and polite faculty that work here. My wife and I were treating ourselves to a day of pampering so we planned the works and were scheduled for all day. We started with a couples massage and that was a perfect way to start the day. Next, we enjoyed a couple of mimosa's while we waited for the next part of our day of pampering which part of the massage package, and that was getting a spa foot soak and rub. Another mimosa and it was time for my wife to get a mani/Pedi and I went to get a deep cleaning facial for men. Then we would swap. The only thing that disappointed me was that my wife wanted French tips on her nails and the girl said we won't be doing that and you can only pick from this selection of colors for the polish. Now, for the money, we were spending at this place. They could have told us up front that you have to request that service when you book (they could have explained that while booking) then the girl explains to my wife why they can't offer the French tips, gel or shellac is because they don't have a dedicated nail specialist on staff. This girl can do nails because she is a cosmetologist but she mainly does facials and make-up. She nicked my wife 3 times. When it was my turn she did a decent job. All in all, this was a good relaxing day at the spa. The only other thing I didn't like was that they suggest to you that the dry spa is available but don't allow you the time to use them.also they had all they curtains opened with all the light coming in that it took away from the spa ambiance.

Yelp
From the moment I called to learn about the full experience at The Retreat to the time I left, the staff was amazing. Friendly and attentive staff who ensured that I thoroughly enjoyed my massage made it worth the drive from New Orleans to Baton Rouge. Shay delivered a perfect prenatal massage and I'm looking forward to returning.

Yelp
This place is amazing! My wife and I have been going here for couples massages for years... Never disappoints.

Yelp
I had a therapeutic massage with Seth. Fantastic techniques! He used a combination of massage techniques that eased my sore muscles and significantly reduced my stress level. I was comfortable at all times, and will definitely be booking another massage soon!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my 90 minute "Dream Away" massage. Carrie was great. The only thing I really don't love about The Retreat is their waiting area while you are waiting on your service. It's small and very bright. It is not calming and relaxing. The area was completely full when I was waiting and I just had to stand until I was called for my service. My actual service was wonderful and I wished it didn't have to end.
google avatar

Shannon L.

Yelp
I scheduled a prenatal massage with Shannon at the urging of my OB to help with frequent headaches due to stress. Shannon was an absolute joy to have as my massage therapist, and the entire service was just what I needed... totally relaxing! The facility was nice, with bathrooms to change into a robe and slippers beforehand and lockers to put valuables during your service. One big thing I wish I had to make the prenatal massage slightly more enjoyable would be a U-shaped pill instead of an L-shaped pillow, which was a bit awkward to maneuver around while switching sides mid massage. Thankfully, it was only a minor inconvenience. I'll definitely be back to get another massage with Shannon before this pregnancy is over.

Yelp
I chose three stars bc I was disappointed today when I went for my massage. The gentleman that did my massage was wonderful. He did a great job. However, when I booked the appt earlier this week, I told the receptionist that I wanted a 90 minute custom therapeutic massage with lymphatic draining massage and/or myofascia massage. When the massage therapist started my appt he said he wasn't certified for either of those types of massage. So I paid $150 for a good massage, but not what I requested.

Yelp
I love a good spa retreat and this place was close to perfect. The massage (Richard) and facial (Kaycey) were just what I needed. I will be making this a regular appointment on my calendar! My only complaint was the room temp for the facial - it was freezing! Even the poor therapist was going blue. But the place is well tended, comfortable, and they work hard to make you feel pampered without hovering.

Yelp
My appointment was scheduled for 12:30 p.m., I arrived at 12:15 p.m. and was robed and ready for service at 12:20 p.m. I was asked to have a seat in the relaxation area and my massage therapist, Lasonda would be with me shortly. At 12:40 p.m. I was still waiting so I went to the front desk to ask the front desk worker (Bella was her name) if I was in the correct area waiting for my 12:30 p.m. appointment. Bella told me yes, I was in the correct area and she would check with my massage therapist to find out the hold up. Another customer walked in and Bella told me she would check her in and then see what the hold up was with my appointment. I then asked for a beverage while I was waiting, as Bella did not offer or ask if I wanted anything to drink while I waited. At 12:45 p.m. Bella came to inform me that Lasonda had the schedule mixed up and was finishing with her current appointment and would be with me soon. I asked what time would she be with me since my appointment was for 12:30 p.m. and Bella replied she did not know, could be any minute. At 1:00 p.m. Lasonda came to get me from the relaxation area for my 90 minute hot stone massage. Not once did she apologize for the inconvenience of being 30 minutes behind schedule. My massage with Lasonda was ok. After my service and during check out, I had a gift certificate I wanted to use towards my service. When booking online, it asked for the gift certificate number, which I entered but it still required my credit card number to book and the charge for service was applied. Bella told me there was nothing she could do but it refund me for my massage but it would charge me a 7% fee for the refund and had she known in advance she could have asked her customer service manager how to proceed. Remind you, I entered my gift certificate number on my online booking. Bella was very rude, nasty, and loud in trying to help me. I had to ask her to call someone to help resolve the issue because I refused to pay a 7% fee for something out of my control and not my fault. She walked off, with an attitude, to call Teri, the customer service manager. Ten minutes later, Bella returned stating the issue was resolved and to have a Happy New Year. I had to ask her what was the resolution. She stated I was refunded for the gift card amount and only charged the difference. I asked for a receipt for my records to make sure I receive the difference in my account. Bella continued being rude and stated I guess I can email it or something. I asked Bella to watch her attitude and her tone and she told me I had an attitude with her. Another customer whom I chatted with while waiting 30 minutes for my service, stated I did not have an attitude and had been a pleasure to talk with while we waited. Bella then said I have will have too get someone else to help you. Bella over talked me during the entire issue, did not listen to my concern, and was not professional at all. Another massage therapist came to help because several other customers were waiting to check in. Bella had the massage therapist to bring me my receipt for my service. The therapist (I believe her name was Shay) was nice and helpful and shared the owners contact number and the customer service manager's number with me to follow up on the issue. Teri, the customer service manager, called me 10 minutes after I finally left (3:08 p.m) to apologize for the issues I experienced. She offered for me to keep my gift card to use on the next visit, however, I explained to her that I will not be returning for any services at The Retreat Spa. Bella projected her frustration on me and accursed of having an attitude and Lasonda was 30 minutes late for my appointment and did not apologize. I will happily take my business to another spa with better service. I am just one person and sure my business will not be missed, however, there are other spas worthy of my business, regardless of it being holiday time or not. As a social worker, mental health is top priority for me, especially during the holiday time, and the service received on 12/31/2023 at The Retreat Spa was horrible.

Yelp
Me and 2 of my girlfriends went on Saturday Feb 24th 2024 for my birthday. We had a great experience for the most part. My best friend had Keiaha for her hour massage and she came back and told us it wasn't the best and that she didn't even get her arms done and nonpressure was applied and that the lady wore gloves the whole time basically giving her friction burns. We laughed about it because I had India and man she was amazing the whole time and worked all the kinks in my body. Then for my second series I had keisha the person my friend had for her massage. When I tell you I was so glad I got India for my massage because my body wrap service I for was not enjoyable. She wore her gloves the whole time making it an awkward feeling when she put the seaweed stuff on me and she only did my service areas not ever lifting my arm or legs to put on the side of my legs or arms. And then she scrubed with the brush but never applied any pressure it was almost like you were getting this done by a roller. It didn't feel good at all. The gloves made it terrible. But what disappointed me was the fact that the spa never told us or asked us if our person wearing gloves was ok with us . I belive they should disclose this and didn't. And she cheated you time. It was supposed be an hour I set my timer and it was 40 minutes and even tho she cheated me time I was glad because again it was my birthday and I was happy she was done because tho whole thing felt weird. WE asked if there was a manager we could speak to to give feedback and was t old that we can do a review my friend stated I don't wanna d o that because it won't be good and the lady told us well that's all you can do. I would only go back if India was doing my services because she was so amazing. It sucks because in a way this was my first ever spa e experience a d I think keiaha killed it in a negative way. I'm glad I got to spend time with my ladies but the spa needs to let people know that their massage person will be wearing gloves. I have never left a review for anything ever in my life but being told you can not even talk to management to give feedback and that the only way is to do a review was surprising. Because of the same person keisha I would have to give this experience a 2 out of 5 .

Yelp
Great as always! I recommend Jessica. She knows just how to help heal your muscles. I'll be back very soon!!

Yelp
I had a prenatal massage with Beth. I was having shoulder and neck pain and I feel so much relief after having the massage. It was clear the Beth really knew what she was doing. Without telling her, she could pinpoint exactly where I had pain. It was pretty impressive. If you are pregnant, I highly recommend that you have a prenatal massage with Beth at least once during your pregnancy. I am 29 weeks pregnant and I probably will come back once the baby is born. The spa itself was very clean, smelled good, and was relaxing in general.

Yelp
Now this place is truly a spa. As soon as you walk in, the aromas relax you. Then you put on a big comfy robe that relaxes you even more. AND THEN, the massage, oh man do the massages here relax you like no other (as they should). My massage therapist, Seth, truly provided the best massage I've ever had. I will be coming back here only and only here from now on for my massages. Highly recommend enjoying a mimosa (or two) at the end as well .

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. My wife set up a 60 minute couples massage for us to celebrate our anniversary. We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early so that we had time to change. When we got there they had an area with a changing room, robes, sandals, lockers, and restrooms. After receiving instructions on the lockers, the gentleman helping us asked us what we would like to drink- water, tea, coffee, beer, wine, and mimosas. I decided to enjoy the moment and go for a glass of red wine, specifically a dry red. It was a great touch. My wife had the mimosa and loved it. As we sipped our drinks and sat in the lounge area we had a decent amount of time to relax and reconnect. Jessica was my massage therapist and Keshia was my wife's. They were both exceptionally professional and did great work. We felt very relaxed when we were done. I was tense from working out and Jessica did a great job with helping me release the tension. Then we were offered more drinks and the opportunity to relax in the lounge area as long as we would like. So we stayed another 20 minutes or so while I had an herbal tea and talked with my wife more. After that we changed and paid for the services. They also have little envelopes at the front counter for gratuity, with "To" & "From" written on it. Lovey touch, we were sure to take advantage of them.

Rosalyn L.

Yelp
My children gave me a gift certificate for a 3 part facial. To start, the front desk clerk was very unfriendly. Didn't smile. Did not interact whatsoever. Never offered a beverage or any other extra. She walked me back to the "relaxation" area and said, "take a seat". That was all that she said to me. I felt as though I was a bother to her. Because of this, I would NOT recommend this spa. My provider was fine. I wouldn't say she was great by any means. Didn't feel like I received everything that was purchased. My exit was not any better. I purchased a few items and again, the front desk clerk was NOT friendly. I did not enjoy my experience.

Yelp
My wife and I came across The Retreat when looking for couples spa service. 1st visit we did the Pure Fiji footpath and massage. It was sublime. The (2) wonderful ladies, Shay & Courtney, did an amazing job and left us feeling renewed and refreshed. The prices are good with discounts available. A very clean and well maintained establishment. As soon as you walk in, it is relaxing and smells divine VS. a compilation of hippie herbs. Definitely a good place for day spa services. Our 2nd trip, we opted for the same Pure Fiji but pedicures added. I never had one but was pleasantly surprised by the service. My feet felt renewed. I went in with barking dogs and left with whimpering puppies. Of course my wife loved it also. The conversation is a bonus with Shay & Courtney as well. So much better than just sitting there being worked on.

Delores D.

Yelp
My first time visiting The Retreat Spa and my experience was amazing. Shari my massage therapist was absolutely wonderful. I had a deep tissue massage and she got the job done going deep down into the muscles and tissues of my back and shoulders which was what I asked her to focus on mostly. The sauna was also wonderful. I will be back. Visit and experience the treatment, you want be disappointed and ask for Shari.

Yelp
I scheduled a couple's massage online the previous night while working. The day progressed unexpectedly and I overslept. I called before the appointment time asking if I'd be able to reschedule. I was placed on hold by Casey. While on hold, I called relatives who were nearby the business to have them come in my place in the event I couldn't reschedule. As to not leave the Retreat on hold, I merged the calls. The receptionist (Casey) returned to the call and said that I could reschedule and even asked me about days next week. I made her aware that my aunt and mom were on the phone and that I'd asked them to come in instead just in case. She reassured me that it was ok to reschedule. I ended the call with my family to speak with the receptionist (Casey). I informed her that my partner and I have completely different schedules and asked if I could call back later today to schedule. She told me that was fine and even went over the hours of operation with me. Awesome, right? Wrong! Fast forward to 4:40, I get a call from the same person (Casey) telling me that I'm sorry but my manager says I have to mark you as a no call no show because your cancellation was too close to the appointment time. With confusion, I explain that had I known what I was told wouldn't be honored I'd have had someone else come in my place. Therefore, I'd have kept the original appointment. I am then told, "I'm new and I'm still getting familiar with things." I find it odd that there wasn't a higher authority spoken to who provided the promise to reschedule as aforementioned. I got several more "I'm new" and "I'm sorries". I asked to speak to a manager and/or the owner. Neither was available. In short, my issue is being lied to and having to pay for it. Especially when I made every effort to rectify the situation. I have tried calling several times and have yet to speak with a manager and/or owner. Horrible communication and business practices!

Carol H.

Yelp
I come here for a massage once or twice a month. The therapist are quite good. The new receptionist is better than some of the old ones.

Yelp
Miski did a great job on my cupping as well as therapeutic massage. Nice and relaxing spa.

Yelp
Average at best after reading previous reviews I was expecting more. Staff is nice and the ambiance cool. However for me personally the whole experience left me feeling more to be desired and I'm not taking about any funny stuff just an excellent professional massage and relaxation l. I'll keep looking.

Yelp
I went in for a facial with Katharine today and she's so talented! Great talker and attentive listener, quick on her feet to give you a customized facial and a luxurious experience! I'm not one who loves extractions, but since they ar necessary as I had quite a few blackheads she was engaging and calming. I highly recommend her and the entire spa as they are all so wonderful and personable! Also, the clear, glowing skin was a definite plus Update: I have recently gone back and gotten massages from both Keshia and Joanna! Omg! Both are angels and I really can't wait to see them again! I also got lashes from Katharine who of course, was amazing again. It's a 2 hour service so I was able to nap while she gave me beautiful, fluttery lashes!

Yelp
I haven't even walked into this location, however, both times I've called have been incredibly unprofessional. First time, I thought that it was possibly a bad day for the person who answered (it happens). Second time, I realized that this was norm.

Yelp
Rebecca Sharky gives the best ashiatsu massage! I go to Retreat on a regular basis. Im also a massage therapist, and I highly recommend the accommodating staff. The owner Nancy makes sure that the staff goes above and beyond for their clients. Their candles smell amazing and the facility is clean and gorgeous!

Yelp
I had Katharine ESTI, and she was an absolute LIFE SAVER!! I booked a facial with her online 3 days before my brother's rehearsal dinner and wedding because my skin was super red, swollen, bumpy, and flaky...for no identified reason. My skin just decided to freak out the week before my brother was getting married. I even went to a dermatologist prior to getting the facial, and she had no clue what I could do to treat my skin before the big day. However, Katharine was on a MISSION to find out what was causing my skin irritation, how to prevent another flare up, and how to best get my skin to calm down quickly. She decided I should go with a different facial than I requested (which was actually cheaper than the one I originally booked), because it would better treat my skin condition. AND SHE WAS RIGHT. From start to finish I could visibly see a difference in redness, inflamation, and texture. She worked an absolute miracle and set me up for success to maintain the positive change for the rest of the week and beyond! She left me with a customized skin regimen (and even wrote her instructions down for me to follow), and some bonus samples to help in case of emergency (which there was no need for!). I literally couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how much my skin had improved the following days leading up to the wedding. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, Katharine called me the day before the rehearsal dinner to check in on my skin's progress, see if I had any questions, and make sure I didn't need any last-minute adjustments to my regimen to make sure my skin would look flawless for the weekend. She totally rocked my world with her expertise and customer service!! Seriously, I want to fly her out to Austin to be my personal esthetician. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a facial with Katharine!!

Yelp
I absolutely love The Retreat. This was my 3rd time being here, and it was just as great as all the rest! My first two times I had the same massage therapist, but I think she's no longer there, so I was scheduled with Bridget. Bridget was very nice and sweet. At the beginning of my massage I expressed to her my needs and she was VERY attentive. I have had several massages over the years, but this massage was very unique and targeted the area that was troubling me the most. After it was over I didn't want to leave the table. Then she met me in the hall with a perfect tasting mimosa. All in all The Retreat is great and I will definitely be there again!

Yelp
Great Massage and experience almost every time! Richard and Keyara are two of my favorites! My only suggestion is ensuring that the full time is given. A few times I have been shorted by 10 minutes or so. Not a deal breaker, but with good massages you want every second.

Yelp
The service has always been nice. I've gotten two massages from the place with my hubby and we always enjoy it. They are very accommodating for if they are things that feel more tense or for those with disabilities. They always find a way to find the most tense spots and work it out. Liked it a lot. Definitely planning another appointment in a month.

Yelp
This is a great place to come to destress. I had Val as my therapist and she was the best I have ever had and I have had many massages. She was absolutely amazing. If I have to be nit picky about anything I would say the receptionist was kinda rude. Just dismissive and was kinda rushing us to leave. And never greeted us or said goodbye just completely ignored us. But other than that great experience

Yelp
I've come here twice and have enjoyed my experience both times. The space is always clean and tidy. You have the option for water or other beverages while you wait for your service to start in the relaxing waiting area. I LOVED my Swedish massage with Keshia. She was prompt, asked me what I wanted from the session, and provided exceptional service. I will 100% be coming back for more sessions with Keshia. I loved the use of hot stones, hot towels, and the use of scents in my Swedish massage. I'm already pondering when I can come back!
