The Reunion Pub

This has become on if our favorite bars in town. It's probably a step or so above a dive bar, but still a very casual, neighborhood place. We especially enjoy that they open at 6:30 am every day. Owners Dave and Bill always make us feel at home, and Amy is the best behind the bar. Just love this place.

Cheap drinks. Good beer. Who doesn’t love a bar that’s open at 7am on a Tuesday so I can black out by lunch

This place rocks as far as dive bars go. Perfect amount of TV's, touchtunes, and cold draft beer. Can't ask for much more.

Locals bar. Plain relaxed vibe. Good prices and friendly genuine staff and customers. Golden tee and pool tables. Always good conversation at any the bar. Very dog friendly. No food. Kids aren't legally allowed.

Great time hanging out with friends and enjoying delicious food right off the BBQ grill.

Feel like a local even if it's your first time! Come in early and grab a coffee or a bloody mary and cheer on the Padres

Nothing on the walls was bought at a box store and put up to create ambiance. Everything's original. You get the vibe a million great stories happened here at some point, and one generally happens when ever you're there. Great folks hanging out, great conversations, and over all just chill. Drink specials are actually drink specials - as if inflation just sort of forgot to check in. Comfortable seats for one to many. We came with a group of folks, sat down and it was like sitting in a living room. There's a select few places like Reunion Pub in San Diego, you can count them on one hand. But, the stand out is service. Grace took great care of us, in that way that only someone who knows exactly how to can. Friendly, fast, and left no one waiting, quick with a joke and she seals the deal on the ideal place. It's neighborhood like in feeling and location, easily the top of the area, if not San Diego.

The reunion is true to its monicker. There are friends there, and they will treat you well. Absolutely wonderfully atmosphere.

The environment of this establishment is great, with a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. However, the food quality didn't meet my expectations, and despite the pleasant setting, I wasn't satisfied with the overall experience.

I have been here with a friend a few times and it seems great! The vibe is very much what you make of it, bartenders seem accommodating without being fake, there's plenty of space and no pretentiousness. I would go more if I lived closer.

Stopped by for the for the first time in a long time and was quickly treated by Grace. She was friendly and welcoming for what felt like we were outsiders invading a locals bar. Crowd ended up being great and friendly and we had a great time. Jukebox (ami) and pool tables. Not much in the way of food but the prices were crazy good for mix drinks and beer. Will def be coming back when I am in the neighborhood.

Absolutely love it! Parking could be better, but the streets around it can usually accommodate. We never have any trouble getting a pool table and nice casual service - a great locals spot and if you drink a little more than you should, walk to the beach and back!

Best place around to grab a drink in the evening. It is never crowded and they offer great prices on certain beers. They have two Pool tables that have been open almost every time I have gone in. They also have some couches in the corner that offer a relaxing view. It truly is a great place for friends to meet.

Friendly place and not crowded. The music selections repeated while we were there. The Old Fashioned cocktail was too sweet. Will just order straight bourbon next time. Decent beer selection.

It's a small little dive bar while the biggest personalities. People are laid back and friendly... both bar and patrons. You can tell it's definitely a local spit, but that is what makes it so charming. They have 2 pool tables and the rotation goes quickly. They play the music loudly enough and a mix of music consistently plays. If I find myself down this way, I Feinstein have to stop by. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect neighborhood bar. Service, cocktails, locals and dogs worth a stop. Welcoming, friendly place to stop off the beaten trail.

My wife and I were in town from Las Vegas last week to do the Sea World/Zoo weekend excursion when we stumbled upon this bar. This bar has great bartenders (we went two consecutive nights) and just a great vibe. A perfect neighbor bar!

What's not to like about a good old fashioned neighborhood hole in the wall? I thought I knew where every bar from OB-LJ (include bay-ho) was....my buddy was like "lets cruise by reunion" me...huh? Oh my goodness. A bar I have driven by my entire fricking life that i didn't recognize? Wait what??? Bar was a bar. Great space, cool locals, all ages, kick back, strong drinks, good music. Thats all anyone needs. I dont shoot pool but it was there to play. Great bar! I will be back as soon as we can!

Townies for days. Legit neighborhood bar with a cast of characters straight outta OB. If you dig the divey atmo this is the place for you. The tallboys of lite beer fill all boys with right cheer. Recommend you don't order a cocktail, just get your spirit of choice straight.

Awesome local dive bar! You get a great local hello and the people know exactly what you want! You see the same people typically on Friday and Saturday's. Great catching up and talking to locals. Not sure if I'm considered a loc but I've lived here for 2 years! They know me, my husband, and our pup that's welcomed every time we are here. They have a good out door area also! For the smokers! (Which I'm not!) But if you live in the area we welcome you! If you don't they still welcome you! People just want to talk! Great local bar!

This bar fits right into the neighborhood that it opened in. I heard that the bar in the previous location was quite seedy. Well The Reunion obviously has redecorated and added a window so there is a few of the small canyon. Makes it much lighter and brighter than your typical dark and danky dive. I along with some high school pals had a reunion at the Reunion on the day of their grand opening. Service was swift even though the place was packed. Also the prices were very reasonable and the pours were healthy. All in all I really liked the feel of this place. A great addition to the neighborhood. Also I would like to thank the woman (?) in the blue eyeshadow and Ugg boots for thoroughly entertaining me and my friends. You made our day.

The food is shockingly good here. Try the avocado multi-grain toast or upthe organic tempeh sliders. Incredible stuff. Excellent wifi too, no problem streaming Twitch and getting some work done at the same time. Overweight biker guy looked like was gonna steal my BeatsByDre but ended up offering to buy me a drink instead. Turns out he is also working remotely for a Palo Alto Startup. What a neighborhood bar!

Tuesday night I walk in to find a man doing push-ups on the pool table. His friends, all older gentlemen, are heckling him. I am the only girl in the bar full of old men and my two guy friends. Beers are cheap. Walking distance from my house. I think I've found my new favorite hide out.

This is a great little neighborhood bar. -Free games of pool all day every day. -Happy Hour all day Tues and from 2-7 pm every other day of the week. -Intimate environment -Clean bathroom -Good music on the juke box ...just wish the beer was a little cheaper.

Reunion Pub was a surprising place for me. My friends and I were fortunate to get a parking spot in the little lot right outside the place. There were only three, but I'm sure people park around the streets. This was all our first time here, and even the outside looked kinda weird to us. Honestly, this place looked so shady from the outside looking in. It looked like a bungalow or like a little trailer... I guess I've only been to bars in PB and downtown SD, so I'm not used to the environment that The Reunion Pub had to offer. It's a smaller scale pub, and it seemed liked everyone there knew each other somehow. My friends and I came to support one of the performers of the night. It was pretty fun. They also have a few pool tables in the pub. They only cost 50 cents to play, so definitely do that when you're here! The one thing that I would come back for are the drinks. I got three (three too many) the night I was here, and they were $4-$5 each for a mixed drink! SO GOOOD. So good I couldn't stop drinking haha The bartenders are super friendly, and will honestly make anything that you request, given they have the materials for it. I wanted a mojito, but they didn't have mint that day, but it's okay, because the drinks they did make me were so tasty! They also have free popcorn to munch on as you watch people perform. Overall, it's a very different vibe, super casual and no cover charge!

AWESOME place. The staff is amazing (especially Derrick and Christy!) and the prices are VERY reasonable. Love the mini beer pitchers. Just a great place to chill. I wish they served food though. (then again food's probably the last thing I need.........ha ha) However comma they do have free popcorn and other snacks for sale. Plus, on certain nights (Fridays?) there's free food that customers cook for the Reunion food contest. Oh, and they had AN AWESOME BBQ on Memorial Day with fabulous burgers and some of the customers even brought food for everyone. Oh, and do hit the ATM on the way, (especially if you bank with chase and get nickeled and dimed to death with non Chase ATM fees) the Reunion is cash only. The customers are always super chilled, and you end up meeting a new buddy every time you go. VERY COOL PLACE!

This is a great bar. I have always preferred somewhat "dive" bars because I don't like waiting for a beer and also I get a better sense of appreciation from the bartenders (for the most part) that my business is appreciated. Sure places tell you that everywhere you go, but to feel like they mean it, can be entirely different. I always get the feeling the people that own/work there are friendly, so that's a plus. They also have free pool during the day and it was a pleasant surprise when they fed me delicious swedish meatballs one of those nights (although there is no kitchen). I'm always down to chill at Reunion

This is our favorite little neighborhood bar, we love the owners and the staff, and the people are always friendly. They offer free pool and plenty of TV's to watch your favorite sports. They have karaoke and live music throughout the week. You should stop by!

Nice bar good vibe but the bartender was very rude. Bald white male, I forgot his name. It was the end of the night and I was starting to walk out the bar with my beer in my hand when this bartender lunges forward grabbing my beer pulling me back and yelled at me for walking outside with my beer. First that was very aggressive behavior and unprofessional. 2nd USE YOUR WORDS! do not physically grab me. After I told this bartender I did not appreciate his behavior and to talk to me like an man. He then got upset said "whatever" and walked away. I was surprised to be treated like this and I will not return to this bar. Messed up my buzz for the night after I spend a lot of money on drinks.

I need point out few things, really. Check out the review left by that Jordan from NV below. Check out his other reviews. The entitlement! LOL! Folk like that are not welcome, which means if you are not a complete tool, you are welcome with open arms! Pool tables, very loud jukebox, friendly older locals, nice bartenders. You can have food delivered, and the provide food from time to time, including Lasagne from The Venetian! Nom! They have a couple of craft beers, usual crap beer and a full bar, very reasonably priced! Happy hours!

I love Reunion Pub Tyson the bartender is a pillar of OB society, owners Dave & Bill as well, with Saturday night live music that gets everyone hooting' & hollering'! Check out "Honky Tonk Ocean Beach" w/Eric Weeks & friends for some Country jams and plenty of delightful chicken picken' on that Gibson Guitar!

Super friendly bar! Wandered in here on a Saturday evening. We got parking but I imagine it's quite difficult as the bar is in a residential area. It's quite noisy as there is a live band playing. Service was quick and reasonable price. Bud draft available but too much noise to ask if there was wifi. If they did have a password was needed! Looked like a regulars bar - seats at the bar were limited but a friendly customer gave me his seat! Worth visiting!

This has become our local drinking gallery. It's cash only, cheap pool, exceptional bartenders, and strong drinks. Very sports friendly. Free food on Sundays for the game.

Never really frequent this spot. Seemed more for people that were just a tad older than me. On the bright side, free pool! Practice makes perfect. They were having karaoke that night as well. If you have seen karaoke one place you have seen it anywhere!

Dive Bar, no more no less. If that is what you are looking for then this is the place for you. Usually a good beer special being offered and there are always very colorful people there.

Boy did this place get a facelift! OB's legend "big wave dave" bought the old "MAX's BAR" and shook out the rodents and almost all the local drunkards...Tyson is a great bartender and host - they don't serve food, but you can bring your own. They have all new TVs, pool - and kareoke on Thursday with a decent crowd.

Reunion is the best! The pool tables are new, and only cost .50 a game. Karaoke Thursday nights, live music Saturday nights, Sunday football and great priced drinks all the time. Can't get any better for a local spot!!!

Eh, this place was alright. I came in on a Monday and there was a decent amount of people here. A few games playing on the tv. I got a burger with some friends and it wasn't too bad. I loved the fries though. The service was a little slow. I do love the location though. Stopped by here for some food before hitting up some of the bars.

Love this little bar. Definitely a place the locals go to. Tyson and Pj are awesome. They make this place rock. Pj is so sweet and she has an amazing singing voice. Tyson is definitely eye candy. Put between the two you have a rockin bar that's tons of fun. Older crowd during the day and younger crowd at night. Good mix, great music and tons of fun. Its weird every time I come here I see someone I know, the name sure fits. And you can't beat the happy hour prices. Come in, have a drink, stay for some fun. Thanks for having a kick ass bar.

A great pub near Ocean Beach. Great drinks at good value. Dave and Bill, the new owners have done a lot to fix up the bar but still keeping the local feel. Friendly bar tenders. A place a lady can go in to enjoy a glass of wine as well as a great party spot. Good pool and music also.

The reunion bar is amazing. The old bar max's was dark and gross. They have made some incredible changes. The bartender Mechal is awesome. She is super friendly and made me the best bloody mary I have ever had. I will be back!!!!

This place use to offer free pool in the past. A lot of the reviews on here are based on this, however, Reunion no longer offers free pool on any night of the week. It is for this reason I gave it 2 stars.

I have never been inside this establishment but I am not pleased with the noise level. They are in a residential area and lack consideration of this fact. I live directly across from it and after last night's event that had someone on a microphone and being excruciatingly loud to cause me to have to put in earplugs, I will be looking into talking to the owner and/or management.

It doesn't get any more chill, fun or interesting then at The Reunion. From the owners Dave and Bill who truly are just the nicest people and welcome you like family. To the bartenders who know how to serve up a tasty drink with a smile. To the regulars and new comers this is truly the Cheers of OB! Check it out you will love it!

Awesome place to watch football cause they have all the games and over 10 Tv's...Drinks are priced perfect and the owner Dave is awesome!
