The Best Breakfast Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"The Reyn has been holding it down for decades on a busy stretch of North Lake Avenue in Pasadena. Nearly everything on the menu costs less than $15, save for the $18 T-bone steak served with two eggs and sides. Instead of toast or a biscuit, opt for the banana bread that’s sliced thick and crowned with whipped salted butter. Don’t hesitate to grab a whole loaf for just $8 on the way out." - Rebecca Roland

Best Dishes Eater LA Editors Ate This Week: April 28 | Eater LA

"A longtime, decades-old breakfast spot that buzzes from opening until the last customer leaves, this pure classic diner cranks out pancakes, waffles, omelets, and huevos rancheros at warp speed, showcasing the skill of diner line cooks. Adorable tchotchke signs instruct diners to “Drink Coffee, Do Stupid Things Faster with More Energy” while patrons sit in cozy booths. Regulars clearly keep the place going, and it’s very likely they’re ordering the banana bread: “The Reyn’s version is a formidable competitor, slathered in a generous serving of soft butter.” The bread is firm, not overly sweet, and actually complements a heartier breakfast item like the Ortega supreme scramble with chopped sausage links, Swiss cheese, and Ortega chiles, topped with sour cream and salsa. It’s less than a dollar to get two slices, while an entire loaf is $8, so take some home to enjoy later. — Mona Holmes, editor, Eater Southern California/Southwest" - Eater Staff

21 Affordable LA Restaurants for Satisfying Meals That Cost $21 or Less | Eater LA

"A decades‑old Pasadena diner full of quippy affirmations and pleather booths where you can order everything from a classic breakfast platter to a layered club or tuna melt; nearly all items ring in under $15 (the $18 T‑bone with eggs is the exception), onion rings can replace fries at no extra cost, and the housemade banana bread—thick slices crowned with whipped salted butter or a whole loaf for $8—is the quirkily delicious highlight." - Eater Staff

Pasadena Busboy Clears Out Diner After Showing Up to Work With a Gun | Eater LA

"A popular Pasadena diner was the scene of a scare when a busboy arrived at work brandishing a gun; coworkers said he appeared to be experiencing a mental health issue. Staff were evacuated and police swept the premises, determining he was no longer inside, although he was reported to be in the vicinity shortly afterward." - Farley Elliott

I had such a great experience at The Reyn Coffee Shop in Pasadena! I ordered the Italian Sausage omelet with tater tots and banana bread, and everything was delicious. The omelet was perfectly cooked, the tater tots were crispy, and the banana bread was a wonderful sweet touch. What really stood out was the exceptional service—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. It made the meal feel even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for a hearty breakfast and warm hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!

Order the banana bread! Best ever! Lots of unique decor. Table numbers are cut from old license plates! They have overflow outdoor seating at the back of the restaurant.

Google
A small but impressive diner in southern Pasadena. They honestly have the best banana bread that I’ve ever had and would be a reason to visit alone, but honestly all the food is seriously delicious, the portion sizes are large, and the pricing is very fair. I would say that this diner leans more toward a Mexican diner in that they have a lot of Mexican dishes as well as clientele which being from San Diego myself I’m definitely not complaining about. Our server was extremely polite and all of our items arrived fairly quickly after ordering them. They have a large parking lot attached outback with free and easy parking however inside is very small so there’s limited seating. They do have some tables outside, but you may have to wait a bit to sit inside depending on how crowded it is. As mentioned, we started off with the Banana Bread and honestly, it was incredible. My girlfriend does not like banana bread, but loved this one which shows how good it is. For my breakfast I ordered the Ortega Supreme and got a side of hashbrowns with chili cheese on top. The omelette was very good and filled with a lot of chilies which I loved, but I was not a very big fan of the chili. It tasted too cooked, almost as if it had been in the pot too long, giving it an almost burnt flavor. Aside from that though everything else was very good and we already are eager to visit again. I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of diners or is searching for a great breakfast or lunch option in Pasadena.

First and foremost, I have eaten at Reyn several times. One of the big draws for me is the accessibility and overall good service and food. Today, October 7, 2025, was a very disturbing, frightening and humiliating experience. I am 67 years old and have graduated from a wheelchair to a rollator for very small distances - a few feet. The Reyn has handicapped parking and a rear handicapped access so it worked for me previously. Today, after ordering lunch, paying and leaving a generous tip as usual, I was told that I could not use the back handicapped exit because it was near closing time and that I would need to just walk around the block to get to my handicapped space, which I was physically unable to do. When I explained to whom I assume was the manager - white, bald and overweight, who also refused to give his name, he was very rude and challenged why I could not walk a block or so, several times. He refused access to the handicapped exit which I was never told when I entered would occur. He said they had mopped the four foot area and although I saw no water I asked if they might dry it if that really was an issue. He said we are closing and that exit is not available - you need to walk around the block and leave. I told him that I could not and he said "Do not come here again." I am assuming that it was because I needed the handicapped access. This needs to be evaluated by the owner. If there is handicapped parking, I and others rely on getting back to it. If I had been put out on the front entrance, I would have been unable to get back to my car. I was also humiliated by the experience. Why was I told not to return. Frankly, I doubt that I will but I want others to know that this establishment is clearly one that discriminates against the disabled. Very sad, in this day and time. By the way and this is a direct quote, the manager stated "yelp is for cry babies" when I was begging him to leave by the entrance to which I could reach my car and thought mentioning yelp might help me get out of the restaurant.

I have been coming here since I was very young. I've seen the change in management 3 times. I was happy to know all of management as they took over. Isreal took the business over serval years ago and uses to be nice. Now from reading other reviews, that has now changed and I experience it. He was rude. Although I can waste ur time to tell u my story, I won't. I will not be coming back here due to rude management behavior and I hope that one day I can meet the next owners. Maybe she or he won't forget where they started. Please humble yourself because it can all be taking from you. The food is good and the banana bread is the best. Sad I cant support this business anymore.

Google
Wow, what a place, totally great food, the servers are all friendly and helpful. When I was a kid in the 60’s I loved getting patty melt sandwiches. Over the years I have never found a place that did them right - this place does and took me back in time. The manager really has a great attitude and it shows up in everything at this place.

Google
Very rude service. Waited outside in the blistering heat for over 15 minutes with my newborn and a 3 year old. Just for the door man to tell me that my family had been skipped over on the waiting list because he couldn't wait 5 minutes for my nursing girlfriend to come back from the parking lot. He then proceeded to tell me that he had three other families on the list ahead of me. After having skipped over me. Seemed odd because we were the only African-American family there and I think I see why. Definitely could have been racially motivated. I would not recommend this restaurant for any African-American patrons.

EDIT: I visited The Reyn today with my partner for breakfast, expecting a nice meal but left feeling disappointed. From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed. We placed our order right away, and my partner specifically asked for her hashbrowns to be very well done. The server seemed fine with the request, so we expected it would be no issue. However, when her food arrived, the hashbrowns were barely cooked. She sent them back, hoping they’d come out right on a second try. It ended up taking a full 10 minutes, and we had to remind them before the dish was finally returned—by which point we were about ready to leave. To add to the frustration, the hashbrowns still came back undercooked. When we went to pay, we mentioned the experience to the manager (bald, wearing a button-down shirt). Rather than being understanding or offering an apology, he just explained “how hashbrowns are cooked” and then brushed us off, asking us to pay without acknowledging our frustration. I don’t expect much, but his response left a sour impression. Two stars only because the food was edible, but I’m not planning on coming back. The service was disappointing from start to finish. ————— We visited The Reyn for breakfast for the first time and we weren’t disappointed. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was attentive and great. While the coffee was mediocre, everything else made up for it. They’re well known for their homemade banana bread, which was delicious and didn’t taste overly sweet. The old-school diner vibes, complete with Snoopy decor, were charming and nostalgic. It's a small place, but there's plenty of parking in the back and on the street. They also have a few outdoor seating spots, but I suggest you try to eat at one of the booths indoors to truly get a feel for the place. Highly recommend!

Jonathan W.

Yelp
It is open a serving great breakfast. There is not always activity at the front door, but you can use the rear entrance. Portions a generous and service is very prompt."

Yelp
Off back this place is jumpin' the kitchen was busy as hell when I arrived. I ordered six pancakes a side of turkey sausage, avocado and their roasted jalapeños for pick up. The servers and waiters are on point and very attentiveI was greeted and asked if I'd been helped on 3 different occasions within the first 2 minutes of waiting after initial contact. The ambiance has a classic Diner vibe, the interior is small and quaint. Which is right up my alley! The pancakes were gigantic, fluffy and everything I'd expect from a classic diner.I got two orders of 3 thinking one wouldn't be enough for me and the family, but it was more than enough. The turkey sausage was juicy, I feel like it needed some more spice/seasoning, the roasted Jalapeños were delicious, and soothe avocado was fresh. I added them to an omelette I made at home aha. I really just came cause my daughter wanted pancakes lol

Yelp
Definitely gave off hole in the wall diner vibes with numerous tin and wooden signs adorning the walls of this very small establishment. We tried the pork chops and eggs, which were surprisingly moist even though they appeared deep fried. French toast was typical but the bannana bread was fantastic. The menu had typical breakfast fare with nothing really unique.

Yelp
Been hiking Echo Mountain for the past 5 yrs and never stopped by this place till Mr Ed from 213 Hikers invited me here and man o man this place was delicious, coffee on point but the Banana loaf OMG....I had the egg sandwich was also on point....first time here and not the last for sure....Echo Mountain also will mean The Reyn....Post Work out....

Yelp
The food was amazing. Service was quick and amazing!! Perfect pit stop on our way to San Diego

Yelp
Absolute gem of a breakfast spot! Diner vibes inside and on the plate. The prices are fair and the portions are generous! I can't wait to come back here, it was truly delicious. My family has an amazing banana bread recipe that's hard to beat but I have to say this banana bread was on par! Moist and flavorful, nut-free. Plenty of parking in the back. Service was super fast and friendly.

Yelp
I was shown The Reyn by a really good friend and thank god he showed me the way! Every-time I go I am never disappointed. The food is delicious in every way. Their pancakes are huge and fluffy, definitely enough to share. Hash browns are always hot and the perfect amount of crispy. I always go for the Italian sausage omelette, it's a hit for me! But I really need to try more things on the menu. Also please try their banana bread ! It's served warm and with butter! Heaven! The place is small so make you you get there with plenty of time to spare. Usually not that big of a wait but you never know.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably the best breakfast to date. I've tried many local places for breakfast. Le Roys, Jeremey's, tops , The eggs are done consistently and exactly the way I like. Potatoes are good. Toast just right Grits are done right. Chicken fried steak is crispy and flavorful. Service is perfect. Can't go wrong here

Yelp
Just right and nicely done. I was in Pasadena looking for a mid-morning weekend breakfast and wanted to be a little off the beaten path. Who wants to wait an hour somewhere off Colorado? So, with a bit of searching, I found The Reyn. Loved the endorsements in Yelp. Called ahead and was told it was about a 20 minute wait. Sold. Instantly, I felt a happy vibe. Busy, yes, but everyone seemed to be a good a place. Loved the simple, cozy interior with small, comfy booths. Got my good diner coffee then went with the Farmer's Breakfast. A couple eggs over easy (or any style), two sausage links, two bacon, choice of potatoes (or fruit) AND a couple buttermilk pancakes. I was hungry but still brought some to-go. Food came quickly. Everything was cooked right, even the bacon which I requested to be medium. Maria was my main person, and she was great. She helped guide me, suggesting the hash browns when I wasn't sure what box to check. A good call. It's a group effort, though, to be sure at The Reyn. A handful of other staff members pitched in for everyone. The banana bread at checkout looks fantastic, and it's reasonably priced. Next time, for sure. The Reyn was everything I'd hoped for, and more.

Yelp
We are from Texas and found this gem! The breakfast was perfect. Even though I got a basic breakfast with eggs and bacon, it was delicious. Our favorite part was our server!! She was such a joy. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Marissa A.

Yelp
Food: Ordered the BLT with a side of Tater Tots. I know...but I had a craving! The bacon in the sandwich was plenty and cooked properly...not too crunchy, not too soft. The tomatoes had a bite to them...not overripe. The sourdough was lightly toasted...just right. Tater tots were your basic, out-of-the-bag tot. But when THAT is what you're craving, they're perfect! Service: We were seated fairly quickly and tended to within a few minutes. Ambiance: This is your "go-to" coffee shop. Many locals and hangover clients looking for a strong cup of coffee and recovery breakfast. Visited on a Sunday so there were also some after-church brunchers. It's really a mosh of folks looking for a casual, home-like breakfast.
google avatar

Katherine N.

Yelp
I come here once in a while if I'm in the area but I felt like having their country fried steak and eggs with tater tots this morning, so I swung by for pick up. It looks like a small quaint diner and it's always busy. The service guy was nice and had everything ready for me. Aa I was taking a pic, a customer behind me wanted to be in the pic. And then, As I was leaving, I saw a homeless man, wet from the rain from last night and I felt so bad, I gave him half my breakfast along with the banana bread slice and I had a Gatorade for him in my truck so I gave him that as well.

Yelp
Real old fashioned diner in downtown Pasadena. I was looking for some breakfast in the area, I just found this place in Google, and I am so happy trusting Google search this time around. Reyn has smaller eating area, you have to write down your name in the list and wait your table. Wait is not that long since servers are so efficient. They take your order quickly, and the food comes out of the kitchen rather in no time. Food was delicious. I had Lou's special which was two eggs, sausage, bacon and hash brown, which comes with French toast. Hash browns was cooked to perfection, Epps was fried perfectly. French toast was delightful. Coffee was tasted just Ok, which is acceptable from a diner. This place is locals favorite, I assume on the weekends they are getting real busy. If you are n the area give them a visit, you are not regret it. Enjoy.

Olivia B.

Yelp
If you want inexpensive/no frills yet DELICIOUS breakfast, then this is the place for you. They have a classic dinner feel, and its not aesthetically pleasing, but it has a homey cosy feel. Whenever i visit this establishment, i always order the reyn special, as it come with their famous banana bread. THIS IS SO DELICIOUS. the banana bread comes warm and with alot of butter. YUM! This place is super inexpensive compared to most breakfast places. My breakfast always comes out to under 12 dollars. CA-CHING! One thing to note is that the service is not always super friendly, but they are never mean. Also, in order to pay, you need to walk up to the register. They dont take your payment at the table . Ive been here numerous times and one thing to note is that on weekends it can be extremely crowded, and you cant make a reservation. overall, great food, great price, great city, great life

Evelyn H.

Yelp
Great menu choices. Not many places have Belgium waffles or tater tots? The portions are generous. They serve only breakfast and lunch. More breakfast items.
google avatar

Anastacia M.

Yelp
Delicious unique variety of foods including polish sausage homemade banana bread and the famous Pasadena scramble. Excellent service and good prices. Plenty of room so you don't have to wait and they keep the coffee coming!
google avatar

Kerri A.

Yelp
Service was friendly and attentive. I came for the biscuits and gravy and they were good but not great. The biscuit was too soft --like it gets gummy when chewing. Classic diner vibe, I enjoyed the kitschy ambiance and had leftovers for the next day since the portions are generous. Poppin' on a Sunday morning with easy parking in their own lot right behind it.
google avatar

Tracy M.

Yelp
Love stopping by here for breakfast. Always satisfies. Hashbrowns made right, bacon crispy, and diner coffee, yum! First time trying the banana bread and I have no complaints. Minimal wait on a Sunday around 9am; small seating area but worth the wait for the food and prices. Will be back again for both!
google avatar

Martha F.

Yelp
The food was delicious the waiters where so quick and helpful! The ambience was family oriented. The price was fair
google avatar

Jonathan A.

Yelp
I love The Reyn Coffee Shop, been coming here for 7+ years now! There are so many breakfast spots in Pasadena, but this is by far one of my favorites! I feel like this place is more of a local spot because it's not in Old Town Pasadena, but don't underestimate its greatness! Everything I've had here I've enjoyed! I usually get the Country Scramble - three eggs mixed with diced sausage, mild Ortega chilis, cheddar cheese and topped with pepper gravy. I always add avocado and I love me some hash browns. Another go-to is the Farmer's Breakfast - Two eggs any style, two slices of bacon, two link sausages, choice of hash browns, home fries, or tater tots, and two hot pancakes...I like their chocolate chip ones! This place is busy pretty much every day of the week, but the weekends get packed! They're only open for Breakfast/Lunch. Service and food is quick, so you're usually not waiting long. Check this place out and don't forget a cup of Joe!
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
Best service I've experienced in a long time! Food was delicious, friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I dislike they won't let me bring my coffee bought from Philz inside even though I told them I'd buy a cup of their coffee too. I suppose they just want to keep their rule of no outside food simple. Other than that, I do go here often for breakfast with a friend. I like the atmosphere & the omelettes are good. My kids loved their pancake dish. Service is typically pretty good.
google avatar

Kai Z.

Yelp
Best service we've had in a long while! Even though they were getting slammed, servers were very responsive and outstanding! Food was great also. I had a simple breakfast plate which was great and the wife had the chicken fried steak sandwich which was delicious!
google avatar

Beret M.

Yelp
I came upon The Reyn through Yelp. It was exactly what I expected and needed. There was a short waiting line. Be sure to add your name to the list. We entered through the front. Immediately had service, drinks bam, menus bam, questions answered! Ordered and bam the food was there. I like a breakfast place where i can order a sandwich. Nothing fancy. Just what you ordered.
google avatar

Rong F.

Yelp
Service is attentive. It's really a popular place! I see mostly regulars come here in the hood. High rating comes indeed for their price! It's even cheaper than Dennys, Norms...however, you can't expect for much, food is no better than Norms or Dennys in the same category to compare with. Ordered: Reyn Special. Egg is way over cooked. Hash Brown is luck-warm. Bacon tastes no meat flavor. Coffee taste bad. Banana bread is average. What else...?
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
This is an old fashioned diner with great service. The food is good with a reasonably priced menu and they make sure to not have a lot of hidden fees. I would recommend this place for breakfast and will definitely come back!
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
Showed up at 9 on a Saturday morning and put our name on the list To sit inside we had to wait about 20 minutes Was only 1 group ahead of us at the time There is outdoor seating with like 4 tables Plenty of parking in the lot in the back as well as street parking I ordered the Chicken Fried steak with 2 eggs and hashbrowns topped with homemade chili ($1.99) and the homemade banana bread There isn't music inside so you just hear people talking but it's a cute little old school diner Waitress was very sweet and nice Food came out very quickly Banana bread was amazing and warm and not too sweet. Very soft and melts in your mouth Also ordered the corned beef hash Chicken fried steak tasted a little bland so I added a little Tabasco and salt and pepper and the gravy was a little watery but otherwise it's good old fashioned diner food and I'd be back for sure Service is top notch
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
Finally came here after a friend recommended it....kicking myself for not coming sooner! Rather than a standard review, here's a list of things that will make me keep coming back! 1. My French toast combo was delicious 2. Service was great, coffee refilled many times 3. Easy parking 4. Soooooo clean 5. OMG they have Blue (Equal) sweetener on the table. No one has it anymore! 6. Last but not least....pitcher of syrup, not the mini servings you get and always have to ask for more The Reyn is also very reasonably priced, maybe that should go at the top of the review but all the other stuff was more important to me!
google avatar

Courtny D.

Yelp
TIP: Walk to the back to sign up for the waitlist! SERVICE: We came for Sunday brunch and although the place was SUPER packed we got a table in only ~10 minutes. My waiter forgot I wanted scrambled eggs but it got fixed very fast! AMBIANCE: This place is definitely the loud, bustling but homely diner experience. There were families and groups everywhere and it seemed like the place that customers definitely would be regulars at FOOD: Classic diner food! Solid 4/5 We got the: -Belgium Waffle Combo -French Toast Combo Both combos came with your style of eggs, 2 slices of bacon + 2 egg links and choice of hasbrowns
google avatar

Krissy K.

Yelp
Pros - Homemade Banana Bread!! Must try! I ordered the Pasadena Scramble and added ham and cheese for an extra charge. Generous amount of food for the price. There's a parking lot in the back. Excellent service.
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
No frills breakfast joint that serves big portions and has bomb banana bread. Their breakfast plates are nothing crazy or out of the ordinary but it's hearty and filling. I would come back just for the banana bread!
google avatar

Julienne D.

Yelp
Reyn or shine... This diner is a local's favorite. One I can only imagine locals would protect from ever shutting down. Then again, I highly doubt they would ever have to worry about that possibility. Sweet little hometown like diner. They bake their own banana bread which is an option for one of their sides along with potatoes or fruit! It's always a delicious alternative. Especially with some butter smeared on top. It gives the best cozy and homey vibes. So much that you'd wish you were a regular. One of my favorite orders is their chorizo scramble with hash brown! As for staff, they're all welcoming and match the tone of how heartfelt the place can feel. Whenever you're in Pasadena and need just a good old school diner, this is definitely one of them. No gimmicks or flashiness which is why locals make this a regular rotation. Also, extensive menu! If breakfast is a favorite meal, this is your next spot to cross off.

Barbara O.

Yelp
Old fashioned diner with quality food, generous portions, home made banana bread and quick service. Everything we have ordered from omelettes, club sandwich, burgers with bacon or chili, bacon and eggs was fresh and served quickly and with a smile. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Signup sheet is in the back of the restaurant but customers are aware of others waiting so list cycles through fast.
google avatar

amy w.

Yelp
legit breakfast place. We can in the morning and the place is already packed. You know it's a good place when it's filled in the early morning. My BF and I shared one plate which was more than enough for us. The waffle was crunchy on the side just the way I liked it. The bacon was extra crispy per my request. Pur server was friendly and super efficient
google avatar

Yelp
Good breakfast spot with classic breakfast items. Service was very good. Busy but has a nice homey atmosphere to it.
google avatar

Terry D.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance amazing. The absolute best hash browns and bacon anywhere in town. The prices are very reasonable. The pancakes are just ok, but will do in a pinch but if you're having a craving, I go to Denny 's or IHop for pancakes which are much better. I wouldn't let Reyn's pancakes keep me from going there unless I needed a really good pancake. They remind me of my dad's Sunday breakfast, giving mom a break. He thought he was a better cook than he really was. I love the old vintage small town cluttered look of the place. Makes me feel like I'm on a road trip. Most importantly you can't beat the service.

Yelp
1. We were a party of 9 and 8 of us were here so we let them know we were all here knowing our friend would eventually arrive. We weren't going to hold up ordering but didn't want to wait another hour for a place for a large party. Well the grouchy bald manager man came up to us and lectured my friend for about 3 minutes in front of everyone even though my friend remained calm and apologized over and over the man still continued to lecture us and walked away shaking his head. 2. We came here to celebrate three birthdays so the friend who arrived late brought cake and immediately was told "no outside food" so we had to set the cake on the ground behind us in lieu of walking it back to the car. 3. The coffee is swill 4. The food is mediocre and not worth all this hassle.
google avatar

Sean S.

Yelp
We were just seated. Spanish was necessary to order a drink. No problemo. The menu looks like a typical Mexican breakfast style. I ordered eggs with chorizo. The interior is fine. Staff is kind. For a first of many breakfasts in Pasadena, it's a good start :)

Yelp
Small place with great food! Had their Belgium Waffles and they did not disappoint they were cooked to perfection. Great friendly service too!
google avatar

Krystal G.

Yelp
The Reyn is the type of place you think of when someone says breakfast. It has all your favorite American breakfast staples such as delicious omelets, chicken fried steak, and the famous cinnamon roll French toast but they also have amazing mexican dishes. The coffee is always fresh and the waitstaff never let your cup get low. This place can definitely get packed any day of the week so expect to wait a little but this cute diner experience is one you won't regret!

Hole in the wall, looks like a closed down diner from the outside but it is always buzzing and full.Food is good and service is fast.

Yelp
Just a great little diner/coffee shop. Good service, good food, fair prices, nice neighbors frequenting.

Yelp
Very nice breakfast experience visiting family. Farmers Combo and Rancheros breakfast were great and way too much food for one person each. Banana Bread and absolute must!!! Coffee was the only disappointment. It tasted watery. Service was impeccable. Venue is small so check in advance for any wait time. Will definitely return next visit.

Yelp
This is small diner vibe with great food. They do have a wait time since it's a small space, but the wait is not too long. I would not recommend for large parties though. I got the Reyn rancheros; which was country styled potatoes with sunny side up eggs topped with hash browns and pico de gallo with sour cream and avocados! It was delicious it also came with banana bread which I had to take home because I was stuffed. Overall great diner with friendly staff and great food. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
The food is pretty good but the service and the management were really unacceptable today. Members of a senior softball team that practice several days a week regularly go to the Reyn after practice for breakfast. This morning 2 of us decided to go to the Reyn for breakfast it was over heard by a 3rd person who arrived just a few minutes after we were seated. Our order was taken but not delivered and when the 3rd person sat down at our table in the patio, the waiter refused to take a 3rd order. Refused to bring anyone a cup of coffee. I asked to speak to the manager who after the 3rd request came over to the table as we were about to leave, and we asked him why we couldn't put in a 3rd order after the first two or even add a cup of coffee to our order. His response was if you don't like our service or our policy go eat somewhere else. So I am passing along to anyone reading this review the wise advice of the manager - GO EAT SOMEPLACE ELSE. By the way our senior softball group used to buy 30 or 40 meals a month there. So very disappointed by the way we were treated today.

Yelp
Limited parking spaces on Lake, typically wait doesn't get too bad but when it's packed it definitely feels very, very crowded. Very average diner feel but with phenomenal banana bread. Mediocre coffee and standard breakfast items. Their waffle looked good but I didn't get to try it. Come with a few people and split a banana loaf!

Yelp
Right off the bat, we loved their banana loaf. It has an excellent old ambiance that we were looking for. Alfonso took our order accurately. He was friendly and attentive and ensured we had everything before he left. Our order arrived within 10-15 minutes, and as we chowed down our delicious meal, we appreciated them checking on us. Great place, good food, amazing people!

Yelp
We took a hike at a nearby trail and was happy to find this nice and cozy diner serving the classics. We loved the vibe inside, looking like a spot that locals frequent for their breakfast staples. Decor was entertaining us a lot while waiting for our order. Which was pretty fast even with a crowd. The price on the menu were very good considering inflation and majority of restaurants raising their prices. Banana pancake combo - delish. I dunno if the server forgot to give us syrup Corned beef hash combo - cooked perfectly and just what you would imagine a corned beef hash to be... salty goodness with the right amount of meat and hash Banana bread - just perfect! Especially with the butter on top Coffee - just ok. Wish it was better Parking - street parking in front and a big lot at the back Access - ground floor
