"One of Houston’s few British pubs, Richmond Arms hosts a selection of fine UK and UK-inspired beers, like Wicket Awesome, and ESB from Eureka Heights, Old Speckled Hen, and Left hand Milk Stout." - Brittanie Shey

Google
They have a great selection of beers. The parking lot is a bit of a challenge on a rainy Houston day with a few potholes waiting for it’s next victim…the food is your typical bar food selection. They survived Covid so that’s a great plus…the bathrooms are clean and they provide a nice basket of paper towels and soap - another great plus. The staff needs to do a better job at paying attention and providing five star service - example - we had one potato skin left which I was planning on eating until one of the bartenders just lifted it off and into the trash before we even had a chance to say “hey we aren’t done”. Proper form is to ask the person(s) if they are finished. We could have said something but neither myself nor my partner were needing the extra drama or calories so we let it go. Someone made a review comment that the staff is sassy…I would prefer to just frequent places where the staff is nice and treats people as they themselves want to be treated. Yes, it’s bar food - but a little extra love in the food you create will go a long way to keeping new people coming back - and that’s the secret to restaurant and bar survival after 2020. 🦋

Very comfortable and friendly people. The bar is really nice. Sit by the fire inside if you are chilly. They do have outside heat lamps to make you comfortable as well. We saw Shotgun Sally and had a great time.

Sam Olivares

Google
Great service and staff if friendly. Deck outside needs to be replace, which I think they are in the pr5 of doing this.

Carter Cole

Google
I love this place the decore is great and the beer select is awesome... We chill on the dog friendly patio so the party is never dull

Don Houston

Google
For that old world pub experience where they greet you by name ( Norm! ).Great selection of beers on tap, full liquor bar, kitchen and exceptional service.Did I mention the big screen to watch the Astros WIN another World Series? Yea.It's there also.Quit wasting time & money at the faux pas "pubs" and get to the Arms 💪!

Google
We were walking back to our accomodation when we noticed a sign saying English pub Well being English ourselves could not resit going in and loved the whole atmosphere And really loved listening to the music of our teenage hood 1980 we could of sat and drank there for hours especially with the open fire

Kevin Newman

Google
Nice cozy place with large selection of beers on tap. Outdoor area with picnic type tables. We went to play darts and drink a beer. Was not too crowded on a Thursday night. We will be back.

Matthew Crowley

Google
A great representation of a true British pub, it has that old country worn down feel. Be sure to try the curry and stop in for a curry. Trivia is held on Wednesday and now they've added karaoke on Saturday nights. Beer list has a few English favorites and of course the local favorites.

Alfredo C.

Yelp
Wednesday is a slow night here. Out-of-stock on many brews, but sill quite a few choices. Nick = excellent bartender. We had an order of sausage roll and an order of Fish & Chips; those are good choices to go with beer.

Germanie J.

Yelp
Service was great! Drinks were great! Food: Just eat before you get here... I was torn between 2-3 stars. We enjoyed our time trying a new spot but the food left us underwhelmed. We ordered potato skins and the sampler platter which comes with chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. She fried the mozzarella sticks so long, all the cheese came out and there was only crust remaining. The grease they fried it in needs to be changed as well. The color of the food was really dark and didn't taste good. The potato skins were old and dried out. She topped them with a ton of cheese to disguise it but it was obvious that they were old. When we left we immediately started to feel bad. And yes this was the only meal we had that day. Long story short.... Come to drink and chill. Cool spot, food just wasn't good at all.

Yelp
Years ago I worked in Highland Village and would sometimes want to wait out traffic before heading home. In such instances, Richmond Arms was my favorite place to unwind over a cold beer while watching sports on the TV. Even on other occasions, my friends and I would start here before having a night on the town. Whatever the circumstance, Richmond Arms will not disappoint.

Yelp
Came in for casual food and beer on a random week day. Good service. We ordered fish and chips and Scotch egg as an app. * Vine por comida casual y cerveza en un día entre semana. Buen servicio. Pedimos fish and chips y scotch egg como app.

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday night around 7 to find it somewhat empty, but no problem. They have plenty of seating inside and out. The atmosphere is definitely pub style and it has a homey feel to it. The bartender was very nice and attentive and the other people there seemed like regulars and having a good time. On the flipside, they were out of a few beers I ordered and the place was a little dusty. I also noticed some fruit flies hanging about. If the place gave the whole space a good cleaning, it would make a world of difference. I'll definitely be back, but maybe order liquor next time

Sherry M.

Yelp
Why advertise that you're open at 11am but have your doors locked at 11:35am and not answer your phone?

Randy B.

Yelp
Still temporarily closed. Hopefully will reopen soon. God place when it it open for biz.

Yelp
If you're looking for a no-frills, solid British pub, you can't go wrong with Richmond Arms Pub. I once went here when I was completely blitzed so I've waited until a second visit to provide a proper review. This time around, I stopped by on a Monday for a networking event during happy hour. Located in the Galleria area, they have a decent parking lot that's free so you should be able to find a spot. The happy hour isn't great and only includes a discount off of select American beers. In addition to a couple of brews, I also had their version of the kolache which is a banger inside of a flaky pastry. Served with your choice of side. I went with sweet potato fries. While I appreciated trying something new, I'll take a kolache over this iteration as the pastry was too flaky for me. Service was good throughout.

Yelp
Cheerio! Pip pip! I guess this is an authentic British style pub. They seem to be up on their soccer, er- sorry- football stuff. We went in soon after they opened, and found that even then, they had a football match playing on the TV, even though they weren't quite ready for hungry day drinkers. The interior didn't look especially clean in the daylight. I'm sure it looks better at night. Things just looked dusty. We got a beer and a round of Scotch eggs. The beer glasses weren't especially clean, and they didn't have the British beer we were seeking. The Scotch eggs came out, and I was more perplexed than anything. They obviously weren't fresh. They seemed that they'd been frozen, cut up, and warmed over. The sauce that they were served with seemed to be the last bit in the jar, and we wondered if it was safe to eat. Oh well, the British aren't famed for their food. Pip, pip! It wasn't especially tasty, but nobody had any problems later, so it was edible. My favorite thing was the picnic tables on the outside. They have flags painted on each table so you can represent your country for the football games they show on the big screens. USA! USA! USA!

Francine P.

Yelp
Ouch. Well, wanted to simply enjoy a Harp beer and fish and chips. Asked for a Harp. Answer was no. Asked for a fish and chips. The answer was no. Then simply asked for a menu. The answer was no. Good luck to this establishment.

Vivian N.

Yelp
We came for St.Patty's and it was pretty legit. No green beer and a bag pipe band played and walked through the bar! Food is decent. Only downside is that you have to order at the bar which can take a bit because there weren't many bartenders.

Jackie B.

Yelp
Went here on a Tuesday evening with a friend. The outside patio was already nicely occupied by some folks. Just there for a drink. There was AMPLE parking! We flagged down a server relatively quickly. I got the Cider flight. How nice is that to have a flight of ciders? I ordered the Scotch Egg and sausage roll appetizers. The sausage roll was just how I remember them being when I lived in England. Of course I had HP sauce with them. The scotch egg was also really good. I had the Brantson pickle and Coleman mustard with it. My only complaint of the egg was it wasn't right out of the fryer. It had been cooked previously and reheated. It was still good, but just would have been nice to have been fresh. My friend ordered the "chips" and a scotch egg. I encouraged her to try the chips with malt vinegar. She loved them! Bonus of Tuesday's, if you order the beer special, you get to keep the pint glass it comes in! Nice! Lovely place. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Our group of fans from Millonarios F.C based in Houston,we have "The Richmond Arms Pub" as our home to watch our team in regular occasions. We enjoy coming here because of the atmosphere, good service, good food and best of all, the beer selection.... Is a great place to enjoy a cold beer with your mates, while watching your favorite sport....

Lawerance P.

Yelp
I was early for a concert on Fairdale. Decided to go here, Thursday. Horrible food! Please take some time to manage your menu and your food quality! I am aware - peas from frozen, heinz beans from a can but get the fried FISH done in house or much better! Train your cooks ... constantly. Take lessons from Red Lion!

Carlos C.

Yelp
Imagine being in England but friendlier. The people here are too Sweet! Get off your ass and GO GET YOURSELF A BEER! Cheers!

Sharon S.

Yelp
Open until midnight tonight. Kitchen runs based on population. Call first. Best to check the taps behind the bar for best "beer menu." If it isn't covered by a bag, it's available. Full food menu Friday and Saturday. Tonight, Sunday, it's the fried items. We have ordered two orders of Fish-n-Chips, double chips no peas. Malt Vinegar! No tarter sauce. Inside and outside seating available.

Jim D.

Yelp
Any place that has Kronenbourg 1664 on tap has got to be good.... and Richmond Arms does. They also have a huge selection of other drafts on tap, if 1664 is not your favorite... (it should be). All of their food is good... bangers and mash, fish and chips, nachos and potato skins. The cod sandwich I had during my last visit was the best ever. Watching a popular football match can be difficult because of the crowd and not the best setup. The sound is hard to hear when they have six different channels going at the same time. When the weather is nice, sitting outside... sometimes listening to karaoke is great fun.

Mark N. T.

Yelp
I love here.I visited in order to watch Argentina vs Nigeria(The 2018 World Cup).It was a Tuesday in the afternoon. A lot of people were drinking beer.I couldn't drink.I am an Uber driver.I had to drive the drunk guys.LOL. I ordered a burger. It is a British pub.But there is no British cuisine in the world.I had to eat either Tex-Mex or some Burgers. Here is very American or Texan. People were excited about the game. After Messi shot.People were saying " Gaooool! Some old gentleman quietly watched Croatia vs Iceland.Sadly, Iceland lost Hope he was Okay. This is a British pub.But it is an international pub for soccer fanatics. If you are an foreigner and like soccer, looking for friends. Please visit here! After I was done.I went the patio.I really like big rocks. It always reminded me of some Japanese zen garden. It is some meditation after the 2018 crazy world cup.Stay tuned the 2018 World Cup! See you later!

Matt G.

Yelp
I have a buddy that is proper British. We have come here several time. It is small, dank, poorly lit, and amazing. Want decent beer specials? Check. Want ESB, Guinny, and other beers on tap? Check. DO YOU WANT SCOTCH EGGS?!?!?! Ohhhhhh check. Anyone who comes here expecting anything other than a proper English Pub, with greasy, fried, and delicious food, is simply mad.

Clive V.

Yelp
I had a london Pride beer that was good but the food was so poor and the men's rest room is disgraceful. We ordered sausage rolls (not bad), scotch eggs (awful), bangers and mash plus baked beans (mash is like it came out of a packet and sausages were bland). Finally the chips were French Fries and not British chips. Please spend some money doing the rest rooms up and sorting the kitchen out. It is worth mentioning that the door to the rest room area had a broken panel - looks like someone does not care. Such a shame because we need good British Pubs in Houston and this venue has a long history here.

Laura K.

Yelp
Fun, busy British pub. Friendly bartender. He had to chase down the waitress for us to order food, but once she appeared, she was great. Had the steak and mushroom pie with homemade mashed potatoes and peas. Wonderful. Others enjoyed the bangers and mash and cottage pie. I'd stick with the British fare, as the typical appetizers looked disappointingly mass-produced. I wish they had a few more wine-by-the-glass selections, as I don't enjoy beer anymore. They have a billion beers, but a very average and limited wine list. I made do. The beer people with us were very happy! Will be back again for sure.

Sergio H.

Yelp
No more pies of any kind at Richmond Arms anymore. Not offering 2 kinds of beers and the other two ended up being tapped out as the bartender was pouring them. Only thing going for this place is that they show pretty much any kind of soccer game. Much like this particular strip of Richmond, this place has fallen a long way the last 12 years I've lived around this area. Shame, really.

Deana C.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere, delicious food, considerate wait/bar staff. This is a must visit place if you are looking for good British fun. Appetizers is perfect size and very tasty, many choices of beer on tap, plus the decor is extremely unique with a British vibe.

Regi W.

Yelp
This is the food well and employees are playing with their hair in the food well . Gross no standards for hygiene or sanitation. Where is the health department? I guess I'll called on Monday and report this.

Ashley Y.

Yelp
This is still one of my favorite British bar in Houston. It's a cool place for me for almost everything. You could watch games here, have some British food, and enjoy the different kind of beer and wines. The interior is simple but pretty cozy and the service was always pretty good. Even tho I had been here pretty often, sometimes I still will miss the entrance. I guess that might be the only part that I don't like about.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour with coworkers and was incredibly disappointed. Not only due to their lack of good options but the quality of food as well. There service was not the best, other than Chris who was great. Beer selection: even though they advertise a large selection of beers, none of them were any good. Maybe I went at a time when they cycled out the good ones. Food: average to below average for pub food. I normally do not have high expectations for food at these places but man was is it terrible. We ordered their chicken tenders and they came out cold and our medium burger came out well done. Service: not the best, the server rarely stopped by to refill our waters and we had to ask a couple times for them to refill them. Overall if you're looking for a good sports pub to drink at, I wouldn't recommend this place. If you're looking for a place with a wide selection of food beers I'd suggest flying saucer or anywhere else other than here.

Jan P.

Yelp
This place deserve some special attention, celebration and honor! They did show all of the games for the World Cup 2018 and the time shift was/is bad! Very well organized, nice atmosphere like a typical English pub! I will for sure watch some Premier League games for next season! Food is basic, but the appetizer sampler ("Sampler Basket") is only $ 9.50, a Coke $ 2.31, a Coffee $ 2.31 and a Weißbier $ 6.24 (pint glass) - all exclusive of tax. They have multiple screens and seating inside and a big patio. Usually parking is not a problem. ALL THUMBS UP!!!!!

Rabimba K.

Yelp
So I came here with my friend and we had a table . We had food and a few drinks. And eventually had around $45 bill. Our server informed us she was gonna leave for the day around 10:30 and we gave her a tip (just rounded it off to $65). Later my friend wanted some more drinks and I got 3 more. When I went to get once more to the bar for the 4th one the bartender told me she has the drink but won't give me because I didn't tip her???? What the genuine fuck. Seriously? Thanks for the food and drinks we had. But this is not the only pub in Houston or Richmond or for Rice students.

Jeremy T.

Yelp
One of the best non-pretentious British pubs in our fair city. This place has been around for a while and it shows. If you're not looking for it, you will likely drive right by it since the trees have grown up around the building and sign. They have ample parking and great service everytime I have visited and eaten there. I like the shepherds pie and sitting in the back room off to the left, by the fireplace, on a cold night. If you come to watch soccer, sit at one of the long community tables in the main seating area where you can make new friends pretty quickly. You may soon find yourself meeting one of the many ex-patriots that frequent this pub to enjoy the soccer on one of the tvs.

Arie M.

Yelp
I thought I'd give Richmond Arms Pub their due for being a Houston establishment. They were here during the "old days" when Richmond Ave was the heart of the nightlife in Houston and they're still here and provide a fun pub on this side of town. They have plenty of parking and plenty of beer. Their food is essentially bar food so don't expect perfection, but it'll get the job done and worst case, there are like 3 fast food places near by (not sure if you can bring it there, but at least you won't drive home hungry).

Dan E.

Yelp
"When in the course of human events" ah, forget about our past disparagements with England for a night and get to this British pub. We had such a great time! My friends had a night-before-the-wedding party here and our service was fantastic with just pitcher after pitcher flowing of whatever cider or beer we were ordering (and, I'll admit I totally joined the groom and we went very "basic" for a night ordering several rounds of one of the pumpkin beers on tap) - of which there is a large selection of both beer and cider. When our crowd was getting a little out of hand ordering, the bartenders were quick to take the groom's order of only he, his fiancé and the best man and maid of honor could order. While there wasn't British music playing, the tables and interior were in that English cottage pub decor that adds to the mellow drinking ambiance there. Kudos to our waitress Amber (I hope I remembers your name correctly!) - you were on point that night! Bravo. Great drinking pub.

Carla H.

Yelp
I came here around 4pm to check out this spot and see the beer options. There are so many options. Its kinda dark and decor is old. Staff was friendly. I chose to sit at the bar to talk to the bartender to inquire on all the event and specials they have normally. My only diappointment was the fish and chips. I thought it was a bit pricey for a bar ($14 ). It was very bland with no flavor. The fries are well seasoned. I'm unsure about the other food but overall will be back. I recommend the fries and onion rings.

Allan R.

Yelp
Went to watch the USA soccer match. Before I get to the food, if you are going to watch soccer, don't do it. Limited TVs and the seating is not designed to be able to see the screens. The TV showing the USA match had a color issue and poor viewing. The beer selection is good and between that and good service, I gave 3 stars instead of 2. The fish and chips were ok. The chips were crispy which was the positive, but the fish and tartar sauce were just ok. Overall, I won't be back.

Eddie S.

Yelp
I have finally found a pub where I am pretty much comfortable. I came here about a week ago and tried the ESB on tap. It hit me, I got the bug and I started looking around for the 6 pack that I once saw somewhere. I think it might have been either H.E.B or for sure Spec's downtown (which has everything). They play a lot of 80's music but havn't been there when they had a dj or whatever was set up outside. My 2nd time around we sat on the patio next to a nice little water fountain. It was a brisk 65 * but after downing a few ESB's, a buttery nipple and a whisky and sprite things warmed up for me. Parking, I can imagine that it can be a nightmare since it is a small parking lot but as far as worrying about somebody breaking into my car and/or stealing it I have no worries because there is a guy that does stay outside and watch the whole area. Variety, there are a lot of beers on tap here, advertised 80 but it seemed to me like about 50 but I really didn't count but just going off of eye memory. The beers are on the bit high side for me $8 for a beer if I can remember but the flavor of the ESB (oh and I had a Voodoo which was equally good) really had me craving for more after a day or two. I know there are many other pubs out there but I just am not really a pub hopper but glad I was introduced to this one.

Nikhil S.

Yelp
Arsenal soccer = ! Pretty good selection of beers! Food is okay - it's pub food! Nothing extraordinary just pub food! It's chill place - Saturday evening they have karaoke - based on the mood you can find others singing extremely annoying or hilarious! Later is the case most of the time

Angelynn Á.

Yelp
I really REALLY like this pub. It's a cute British-style pub with an excellent beer selection and a nice variety of great food. The bartenders and waiters/waitresses are really nice and make good suggestions for food and beer. Their food is good as well, especially for a pub; I ordered the Pub Nachos with lots of jalapenos and it was great. My friends ordered the turkey burger and some finger food appetizers (jalapeno poppers, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks) and they were good as well. Particularly, the turkey burger was quite large but my friend said the turkey burger was very good and tasty. There is ample amount of parking (a HUGE lot on the side of and behind the pub), which is an excellent plus. There is lots of seating available, especially outdoors on the deck. They have a game of darts available as well, which is loads of fun. I went on a Friday night, and they played lots of mainstream music (which is great if you like the mainstream music on the radio). There is also karaoke on Saturday nights. One thing I must warn is that the outdoor seating is on a deck which has uneven planks and lots of steps, so just watch your step whenever you walk around outside. Overall, I believe this will be a "go-to" pub of mine to have a nice beer and good meal.

Benjamin S.

Yelp
When you move to a new neighborhood one of the first things on your to-do list (other than unpacking) is finding your go-to neighborhood bar. My roommate and I visited this pub on our first week living in the Galleria/Uptown area, and we have been regulars since! The beer selection is great, food is on point, and service is with a smile. Causal, welcoming environment. Great place to kickback for a low key evening with those whom you love the most. 5 stars!

J. M.

Yelp
Just an awful place. When I briefly lived in Houston in 2006 I watched a few games of the 2006 World Cup here and remember how dingy it was on the inside and how unfriendly the staff were. Fast forward 10 years and it's exactly the same. You can tell when a place has absolutely zero investment in it as the owners just don't care and want to cash in on this place being (sadly) the de facto British soccer pub in Houston. Thankfully that is changing and other bars have sprouted up all over the city taking away their business. The screens are ancient. The low ceilings make it even worse for watching football. The "British" tat all over the place is just laughable. The bar staff though..... Just absolutely miserable. You can tell they hate getting up 'early' in the morning to service the soccer crowd. Perhaps most of these lot need to find another job somewhere. It needs demolishing and starting over again. Or perhaps just demolishing.

Cettina C.

Yelp
If there was a 0 star I would put it! People that work in a public place should have an open mind and kind manner. Yesterday evening a very dear friend of mine suffering from Parkinson's was denied to go in. They supposed she was under the effect of I don't know what and, even after both she and her husband told them what her condition was not only they didn't apologize, they send them away wishing my friends to have a car crash on their way home. What a nasty, unkind sorta of people work in this place?!? I would never put a foot in it and I wish for them nothing but bad reviews!!! I will spread the word about their actions hoping that others would do the same.

Alex B.

Yelp
This place has a great beer selection and the pub fare is like the stuff I ate on a recent trip to London and Glasgow. The beer selection is varied, great. Lots of local beer, and of course British beers. Came here looking for a bar near my apartment to make my regular drinking spot. I wasn't sure what the beer selection was going to be like, but I was pleasantly surprised when they had a whole wall of taps, and a Saint Arnold's Cask ale. I was blown away. I could drink here for sure, but how was the food? I had the Scotch egg for an appetizer and it was interesting. I thought the best part of it was the chutney/jam they served with it. It was sweet, spicy, perfect. For dinner I had the Liver and Onions. I'm a firm believer that if you can make liver and onions good, everything else will be phenomenal. These liver and onions are great, especially with their gravy. I'm getting hungry just writing about it. Also, do yourself a favor and spent a little extra for the Heinz Beans. It really rounds out the experience. So if you're looking for a great pub with great pub food, then get your arse down here!

Bailey R.

Yelp
What a cool little place to head for some craft beers! The bartender was super cool and had great recommendations for my friend who usually sticks to silly domestic beers. Their selection on tap is great - they have about 70-something different beers to choose form, lots of them being local. I will definitely return in the near future!

Leslie W.

Yelp
Beer menu is a 5 star one. Massive number of beers on tap. Local, national, internation beers. Nice pint pour. Menu has 4 star options. English pub bar food. Fish and chips, fantastic french fries. Sammies, potato skins, soup and salads. Decent bar food. That's always good becasue I am that girl that comes in for a beer or two and ends up sitting for a long time drinking with regulars and needs to eat at some point. So bars with a great beer selection AND food is a big plus. Extra booze menu is 4 stars. Their Scotch, bourbon and good booze menu was pretty limited. I thought I might get to try a new Scotch here. But sadly. No. All the ones on their menu I was familiar with. The women's restroom was clean. Yea! Big patio out front with TVs. Large parking lot in the back. I had no trouble getting my big ol' Tundra back there to park. Service was 4.5 stars worth of nice and attentive. I will admit this was my first time here and it was during a HUGE soccer match. I am not a soccer fan. We got there before the game began and thought we had found a fairly quiet corner away from the broohaha. During a soccer game there is no place away from the broohaha. However when we told the waitress we were hoping to be able to visit over the noise level they moved us immediately to a back corner. It wasn't quiet but it wasn't under a surround sound speaker! They checked on us often. I did have to go track them down for our ticket. Middle aged gal rating is a 4. If I were a soccer fan I would watch here. Since I am not I'll make sure to go only when there isn't a huge match on TV. I like to hear my drinking buddies when we chat and not have to find a corner of the place to get away from surround sound high level volume from the TV.

Tila S.

Yelp
The food was mediocre, service poor, cleanliness was horrible. I took a 20 minute drive here due to yelp reviews. You let me down guys.

Malcolm G.

Yelp
Watched the Euro Final today , did they not know it was on and England were playing ? You can't order drinks outside ( No wait staff ) ! Inside wait for a drink was crazy long, again understaffed .... Viewing area outside terrible... 2 small TVs and one speaker ( couldn't hear any of the commentary) .... Absolutely shocking ... heard many people say they will never go again ....lastly, inside is filthy ! Stay away !

Steven S.

Yelp
I just love this place. Usually dark and quiet and cool. Although that does not apply when there is a major football (soccer) game on. Extremely nice bartenders who go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Very good food. Have had the turkey burger, hot wings and salads. What I always do is check the daily specials. I love a lot of their soups which are served with a generous amount of French bread and sometimes the special entree. Just had a shrimp poboy with a side of peas (i know, sounds weird, but it was great) that was absolutely perfect. I try to get back here a couple times a week.

Erin D.

Yelp
When Texian Army, one of the supporters groups for Houston Dynamo, chose this as their bar this year, I was extremely hesitant. My experience from 2012 was not good, and I had not stepped foot in this bar since then. Nevertheless, I obliged since it's always best to be together with supporters of the same team when watching a soccer match. We have had eight watch parties previously when the bar otherwise would not have had any business. It's not uncommon for us to show up to the bar, and there's NO ONE else there. We have given this bar a lot of business this year, averaging 20 people per watch party when they wouldn't have had any other business. Fast forward to today, our ninth watch party, when the Dynamo game ended right as the Copa America final started, and what did the bar do? Abruptly change the Dynamo game to Copa without any warning. We had less than two minutes of the Dynamo game left, and the national anthems for Copa hadn't even started. Any soccer person knows (and this bar claims to be a soccer bar) that national anthems and ceremonies (coin toss, etc) take at least five minutes. There are countless, alternative ways this bar could've handled the situation: -Nicely ask us if the game could be changed due to an influx of people coming to watch Copa -Warn us ahead of time that the game will be changed -Change the channel like they did abruptly, but then compensate a drink for the inconvenience -Put up signs warning people the two games are back to back (Lucky's & the Phoenix does this) The bar did none of these things. We had people who wanted to stay for the Copa final but ended up leaving because of how rudely we were treated. Your loyalty means nothing to this establishment. In addition, the food is overpriced for the quality. I've ordered the scotch egg (so overcooked, the egg's gray) and cornish pastie. Neither are that great. The tuna fish sandwich was pretty good, but I can make that at home. I've ordered waffle fries and have had a hard time giving them away because they are not good. Add to the fact that their drinks are $2+ more than other bars I frequent, and I will not be back! P.S. My view is my own and not on behalf of the group. However, there were at least two others in attendance today who also will not be back.

Yelp
Dodgy math skills in tallying up bar bills. 20 percent gratuity added will sitting at the bar for party of two... that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Yelp
This is the best place to watch soccer! Atmosphere is amazing and the the bangers and mash is great. Any time I need to watch a soccer game, I am coming here. Please note if your team is playing Arsenal, most of the bar will be Arsenal fans if you go here.

Yelp
Don't go here for World Cup! I've been going here for several years and won't be going back. The last three visits it has gotten progressively worse. - Champions League final - surly staff with less than stellar service. - England WC match #1 - more of the surly staff and slow service. No Fish and Chips. What, you're an "English Pub," at least in theory. - England WC match #2 - 7am start. Figured I'll have some kegs and eggs. Nope, unable to serve until 10am despite the fact other places in town are able to serve for early WC. Fine, I'll get breakfast. Nope, no one ever came by our table to take an order. Don't waste your time here. There are other places working much harder to earn your business.
