The Ridge Club

I have worked in restaurants before but this one cuts the cake. I was actually nervous to start. I’m glad I got to experience it. They strive to give excellent service. While I was there I saw so many smiles and happy customers. It would be hard not to have a good time there. It has such a relaxing and attractive ambiance. The staff are respectful, have great communication skills, attentive, and pay attention to detail. Even when it gets super busy, they cooperation with each other helps the job get done smoothly. Don’t get me started on their food. It is rare for me to eat red meat, and I absolutely love their burgers. I even ate a double patty burger. I believe I got to try most of their menu, and wow those chefs know what they’re doing. There wasn’t one thing I disliked that I got to try. I definitely have to give a shout out to the that salmon dish. The best salmon I ever had. They garnish the food so well you are not going to be sure if you want to eat, but you won’t be able to resist. It was amazing to experience that kind of art. The bar is just beautiful, with an amazing view to the outside area of the restaurant. If you have Kim and or K serving you, you are going be well taken care of. They strive for excellence and customer service is amazing. The view, fire place, and heated pool in the outside area of the restaurant was the highlight for me. I love everything about that place but when you step outside just makes you feel blessed that you get to experience it. I’m sure if you go you will get to experience all the wonderful things I did.

I cannot overstate what a luxury amenity the Ridge Club has been. The team, most notably the General Manager Jovan & the bartender Sami go above and beyond to provide exceptional 5 star service that Chef Mina fans have become accustomed to. The food is always fresh and delicious and the chef has even come out to greet diners. The waiters/waitresses are always pleasant and checking in to make sure you’re ok. Great music (never too loud), nice menu selection and great drinks. My favorite are the Pineapple Express and the Ridge Club Burger. The Caesar salad is also amazing. Love, love, love this place and the great events they put on the big screen to celebrate major events. I’m not much of a review girl but ridge club deserves it!

This place is a gem! I hesitate to post because I don’t want anyone else to know. But, I must say we joined the club this year and have been thrilled ever since. We live close by and love the option for happy hour, live music or dinner. All the staff is great, the food is great the managers are on it! Kim thank you for always being so thoughtful for our family.

Okay......so I saw this place on IG and I had family in town so I figured it was a great place to visit. There is a parking garage and it wasn't exactly clear where in the area the restaurant is. But we found it. Idk if this is because the place is new or what, but we had to wait for someone to come down and get us from the parking garage to take up to the restaurant. Let me tell you the views are amazing and the vibe was great. The drinks were so good, but were super slow to come out compared to how busy it was. There were some people over at the pool, but at the outdoor tables, maybe 6 tables max. And NO ONE was inside. The downside is food came out as it was ordered. I ordered an appetizer as my entree and it came out like an appetizer so I was waiting for others to have food arrive which made my food cold. It just isn't the best system. The servers were attentive but clearly new as one guy kept delivering food to us that wasn't ours. All in all I would come back. The burgers were good, so I'm told. The salads looked amazing. The fries were good. The wings were just okay and the oatmeal cookie desert was lackluster.

My daughter’s favorite rooftop! She loves swimming here and we love the food and drinks. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Really cool restaurant rooftop views is very nice. Food was great, my personal favorite is the Smash burger!

It's becoming quite a challenge to enjoy. Over the past few weeks, there has been a significant increase in disruptive behavior by kids. There’s constant running, jumping, and excessive splashing, which makes it hard to relax. On top of that, water guns are being used frequently, causing safety concerns. While I understand that kids are excited, the lack of enforcement of pool rules is disappointing. It would be great if management could step in and remind everyone of proper pool etiquette to ensure a more pleasant experience for all guests. Staff and the food are great. It has just turned into a water park! Parents are not ensuring their kids are not disruptive!

AWFUL! Michael Mina has fallen off! What an embarrassment to go here to eat off of plastic plates and hot dogs with salted fries! I was so ashamed when I took friends here while visiting this new development of apartments. The service was non existent, so the Manager Pablo served us. They were out of every liquor needed to cope through this experience. The Manager/Server was clueless, you could hear music blaring through the diner-esq kitchen. We ended up going to Wegmans.

Zero responsiveness. No one answers the phone or email. Can't get basic questions answered. They're constantly trying to push a condo on you.

Lovely place and the view is amazing. The club decor is simple but classy. The staff were nice and very attentive for a large group. My drink was delicious and burger was pretty flavorful. As for the fish - it wasn't great (def need more seasoning) but edible. Presentation was on point.

Yikes. I'm generously giving them a 2 because their food and drink was solid... once we received them. But you can get solid food anywhere. I just don't want to pull the chef into this abomination of an experience. I'm an Equinox member (one floor below) and live in the Palisades nearby so I'd been curious to check this place out since the photos online intrigued me. I've been eating and drinking in DC for the last 16 years and The Ridge Club bar and restaurant provided the worst service I've experienced anywhere. I came in with two other female friends around 7pm on a Saturday night. There were 4 people at a bar, and 1 table of 4 in the entire restaurant. Pretty quiet for a Saturday night, to say the least. We waited at the bar for 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) while the bartender ignored us, it appeared he was working on a tab. He looked up for a second and I asked if we could have a drink menu, he looked away. There was no hostess at the entrance of the restaurant to ask for anything, and no menus just laying around for us to grab. 5 more minutes passed, and my friends and I tried to figure out what to do. It was a last-minute choice to come to The Ridge Club, so we knew all decent places wouldn't have reservations available, and I didn't feel like getting back in the car and driving us elsewhere, so we decided to try and stick it out. Two more people came in, and the bartender went straight to them, and asked if he could get them anything to drink. This now brings the total at the bar to 6 people. Still very empty. I ask him again if we can have the drink menu and he lightly tossed it to me, still with no words, then disappeared. It was shocking, and at this point, laughable. What was going on?! The behavior felt downright snooty, which is not a common experience I personally have in DC, but the air of ... I can't really put my finger on it.... distaste (?) for us was reeking from the bartender. We had just been silently standing there, and for lack of better description, it felt like he didn't want to serve us specifically, which I can't say is an experience I've had before. The bartender then was nowhere to be found, and another man came out and asked for our drink order. He took our order and the drinks were handed to us a few minutes later. This is after 20-25 minutes waiting. This man made a comment that we could use the little straws they just got in for our drink, but "don't worry, they're not little coke-type straws or anything [not something that had crossed my mind, that I'd be using the straws for cocaine that night, but I digress], so you should try them out." Is it not common to use short straws with small cocktails...? Just added to the weirdness of the place. We had our drinks outside, which despite it being a super-beautiful location, was totally empty (can't imagine why! had others experienced the same service we had?), and since we'd already told a friend of ours to meet us there for dinner, we committed to the dining. The same original bartender was also our server, so he had to acknowledge us! Success! The food itself was good. The service left much to be desired. It felt as though we were an irritation to him (and as one of three tables with people at it, in an empty restaurant), I'm having a hard time understanding this. This place is gorgeous. Beautiful rooftop, nice ambience. Good food, good drink, TERRIBLE service. I frequently upper NW DC restaurants and bars and have a lot of friends who do, as well, and I was especially hoping for a positive experience since I workout at Equinox several times a week and thought this could be a great place to go afterward occasionally. I have several friends considering joining the club (for the pool). I will advise them otherwise, if the service does not change. Not that I'll be coming back any time soon to try it. If City Ridge Club wants to be a presence with those of us in Upper NW DC, the server needs to drop the attitude. My friends and I left after dinner, laughing about if maybe he just didn't like us (?), was he just in a bad mood? Did he not feel like working that night? It became an ongoing joke, because he was just SO rude and I still am appalled that we waited nearly 20-25 minutes for a drink. Not sure there's much else to say... hope this changes. It's too bad. Had a lot of potential. Don't be so snobby.

Came here thanks to a friend and was greeted warmly ... they gave me a quick rundown of how they operate and told me a can sit anywhere and order thru the QR code at the area that I choose. They have 3 nice cabanas to rent out... i ordered a few cocktails that Jae brought out to me who was also the bartender... great service overall... he also made some amazing cocktails.... be sure to get your membership to truly enjoy this experience

The servers was great but the food was ok. Our friends meal was not correct! This could be a better prepared food and place.

The Ridge Club has stunning views but can definitely use some work service wise. It's on the PH floor of City Ridge and you have to call the restaurant so someone can come down and give access. I visited with a group for brunch and they were very accommodating on the seating arrangements but the service for the food was very slow. Everyone ordered within minutes of each other some orders didn't come out until 20 - 30 mins later. You order from a QR code so the servers end up being confused on who ordered what. The prices are pretty good and the servings are filling, I'd recommend the burger, lobster fritters and wings. I think it would a great spot in the evening and in fall but it definitely needs some work.

I went to this place after getting multiple targeted ads from them. I went to watch the US Open men's finale. They had a fun trivia event happening when you first entered which was nice. The space is big - they have an indoor and outdoor space with variety of different type of furniture, including couches and dining tables. I originally went with the intention of sitting outside since they advertised a huge tv, but once there the tv was over the pool and there were a bunch of little trees blocking it from the ridge club restaurant area. Because of this, I sat at the bar. The bar service was not great - I waited at least 15-20 mins to get a drink order in and it didn't get much better after. The pretzel was a bit hard. Overall, this place is nice because it looks new and modern but it's far, expensive, and not that great.

Went to this place on a Thursday afternoon. Bar was moderately busy .. a friend and I sat down for happy hour, the bartender looked right at us and continued to do whatever she was doing without acknowledging us at all. We didn't mind that she was busy but at least an "I'll be right with you" would've been nice. We awkwardly sat there for 15 minutes wondering why no one had handed us a water, menu, or even looked in our direction. Not only were there 2 bartenders, the GM was behind the bar as well. It was to the point that we got up and left. then and only then did they acknowledge us ONLY to thank us for stopping in and say bye. They didnt even try to pretend like they wanted us to stay lol I also notice another person in the reviews experienced the exact same thing. I personally will NEVER give them business again.

Amazing scene, pool, view and service. DCs modern country club - who needs golf? Menu is on target and drinks are very well apportioned.

I love the new menu this year! Plus, all of the staff are lovely and very accommodating, especially Kim! She truly goes out of her way to take care of the members and guests.

Absolutely wonderful ambiance, setting, service and food. Kim, the Service Captain ensures that everyone has an amazing time!

The service was good and ordering from a scan is fast and clever. However, the food was ok, nothing special, and the prices were high. Outdoor seating has no shade and no tables. All seating is in sofas in the bright sun.

Beautiful place, cool roof top vibe, decent food but had an horrible experience with management they need to re analyze the management for such a nice looking place manager needs to be humbled out and treat people better

if I could give this place 0 stars I would. The manager is a complete asshole who is never even there. The people who don't live in the building but pay for a membership act like they own the place and treat everyone else like shit. There are 5000 kids running around with no parental supervision or lifeguard. The food is overpriced even by dc standards and it takes 45 minutes to get a diet coke. if they want this to be a success maybe start by having someone actually in charge of the space at all times when it is open and not just when the restaurant is open. Also no one even checks if you have a key or if you are a guest so its pretty much an open pool even though non- residents are supposed to pay 25$ per guest. It is run so poorly that residents are NEVER up there even though the pool is legitimately part of our amentity fee. Its an embarrassment quite honestly and anyone in charge of it couldn't run a business if their life depended on it.

What a treat! Chic rooftop retreat with surprisingly delicious food and reasonably priced dinner menu. Great service from friendly staff. Look forward to returning before the rest of DC discovers this beautiful space.

Terrible experience will never go back! Food took an hour to come out. Ordered the steak had to send it back twice because it was over cooked. The manager did refund my steak and gave us a free round. Of drinks so I do appreciate his effort. However the Server was brand new it was his first day and he had ZERO training. Set your employees up for success and don't just hire to have coverage. Our server did try his best but management needs to make sure they take the time to actually train their employees and not throw them out to the wolves. No Prosecco or champagne so no mimosas, no Casamigos. It was not a trip brunch experience. The menu was NOT brunch food. It was 12 of us and we will never come back! If you continue to serve this way I do not see " the ridge club" making a huge profit off of this very expensive business idea. You need a better menu, better training, better menu options, and better bar options.

I love the venue they have all kinda of inside seating but the cabana seating is wild with those views! And the food is easy to order from the QR code and the food is always fresh if I could go every day I would 10/10

Pool is lovely, service was attentive, food was good, BUT this place still has some kinks to work out. I ordered a burger and fries, then later a coffee while I waited. It took 45 minutes for the burger to come (hence the coffee), and they did not ask how I like my meat, which is less than well-done, which is how it was served. Rosemary fries were delicious, and despite the overcooked burger, it was still great on flavor. And then there's the coffee... $8 for a plain black hot cup of coffee. This seems a bit outrageous, considering the burger + fries was a reasonable $15. If someone could please justify to me how a cup of coffee costs $8 and a burger with fries $15, I'd add another star. The alcoholic drinks were much pricier. Next time I'm up for fun in the sun I'll probably just pay $6 to get into the neighborhood pool down the street (less than a cup of coffee!), bring my own snacks from the grocer next door (or the Tatte bakery right downstairs), and not worry about the service times, QR codes, or exorbitant beverage fees.
