Absolutely love Ridley house! I’m so glad we finally made it over to see the Harry Potter experience because baby it did not disappoint. It brought up all the old school feelings as if i was a kid again buying a Harry Potter book for the first time during the scholastic book fair. Iykyk! I highly recommend you go if it’s still going on. And I’m so looking forward towards their next experience. They definitely go all out for the decor and menus and i just love it. The staff is always amazing as well. I have never had any issues besides you cannot order (get something off bill) or get something else if you don’t like a dish not sure why that is but it is what it is. other than that i have nothing but positive things to say about this establishment. It’s truly a little hidden gem. Definitely go check them out you won’t regret it. The wings go hard also very good!!

Google
Elario was an amazing server! Took care of our every need! We were able to go during a live music set, Neil was fantastic! Harry Potter pop up was great! Will definitely come again. Appetizers were amazing!!!! Will definitely come again for them all!

Very good experience here!! These folks do it right! We walked in 12 minutes before the kitchen switched to a bar menu (22:00) and the staff put extra effort into politely making sure we were aware that the menu would change. Portion sizes are more than comparable to the prices and the food was great; not greasy or dry or salty. The picture doesn't do our meal justice at all, come hungry! An excellent place to sit and enjoy a well rounded meal with company. There are 2 bar areas in addition to a quiet family dining area. One for a louder music crowd, that is nicely separated from the rest of the seating areas, and does not intrude on those of us who like a quieter environment. The other is a casual sports bar type setting. Food came out almost too fast 😅 and service was impeccable!!! We'll definitely be back, thank y'all so much!!!!

Google
We went on a Saturday evening and there was a loud acoustic guitarist that made dinner conversation extremely difficult. The Harry Potter theme was well laid out with a drink and food menu named to match book themes The food was delicious, but the service was not great. Took 45 min just for water and drinks. After dinner the waitress never asked if anyone wanted dessert. Dishes and empty drink glasses were never taken away so our table for 5 was crowded. Fun experience but not a place we would return.

Google
We recently had my daughter's baby shower here at the Ridley House and everything was fantastic! The food was delicious, especially the chicken parmesan, and the service wonderful. Patrick was a delight to deal with, so professional yet personable. The young man that was helping us all day with individual requests, was above and beyond amazing. I'm sorry I cannot remember his name, because he was terrific! I couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate such a happy day for our family. Thank you to everyone at Ridely House.

Google
Found this location for a friend's birthday as the entire location was Harry Potter themed, and the food and the atmosphere did not disappoint. I will definitely visit this location in the future. High recomend this if you are a Harry Potter fan!!!

Google
Came for the Harry Potter themed menu. Decorated far more than what I thought it would be like with awesome little details to keep you looking around. Food and drinks were playfully named to match the books. Went on a weekend and the DJ was really good. Told a few of my HP loving friends about this place!

Google
This was our second time coming in for the Harry Potter Experience. Again it didn’t disappoint. The decorations are amazing. Everywhere you look you see something else. The food was delicious, the staff were welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. Thank you so much!

Yelp
The waiter is fantastic and knows the foods served here well. Tremendous ambiance of casual, laid-back, good times. We started with lamb chops and tossed garden salad. Second course was Lobster and Crab Rolls. Third course consisted of blue corn tacos: spicy chicken, spare ribs, decadent shrimp! We could have been satisfied at any course but needed to try dessert and The Ridley House got a home run with the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake! Date night extraordinaire! Thank you.

Yelp
Five of us had lunch here yesterday, on a Saturday afternoon. None of us had been here before. They have a large parking lot which was great! We don't realize after walking in the side door that that entrance is really more for the private rooms. You can eventually make it to the bar and then the restaurant but it's easier to use the front door. The restaurant is currently fully decorated in a Harry Potter theme. You can still order from the regular menu although they did have a few themed dishes on a separate menu. I enjoyed an espresso martini and a Caesar salad, both of which were very good! Our waitress was sweet and offered to clear the table before taking a picture of us that we requested. If you or your children are really into whatever theme they have it decorated for (I think they do other ones) you'd really enjoy it!

Yelp
Service!!! Very slow, not prepared, hot as hell, forget to put butter out, forgot to refill dressing, forgot to put out deserts. Never again!

Yelp
My friend recommended this spot because I wanted cheesesteak egg rolls and she said there was a place close to her home that we could order from. We ordered take out - I ordered cheesesteak egg rolls and a side House salad; both were edible, nothing remarkable although I did like their Sriracha ketchup. The egg rolls didn't have much flavor to me and were a little chewy for my liking. The salad was fresh. The young ladies that I interacted with to place my order were helpful and pleasant and the food was made ready very quickly, which was nice. The price wasn't bad either. Again, my order was takeout but the vibe that I gathered while waiting for my food is that this seems like a warm, neighborhood spot. Probably a good place to watch sporting events and gather for an informal meal.

Yelp
What an amazing Harry Potter experience for my son's birthday. The decor definitely put a smile on his face he was amazed as we walked in because it was a surprise. The menus played a big part as well. We ordered from the Harry Potter themed menu and the normal menu. The themed drinks were a nice touch especially the Butter beer shots in the little mugs. Service was normal I felt like the waiters and waitresses should have been dressed with the theme. All in all it was a great experience. Thank you

Yelp
We had a fabulous time having a post-Christmas, pre-NYE family dinner at Ridley House. The holiday decor and vibe lived up to and exceeded the hype, and the service and food was fantastic. My daughter loved her food, and we will be back for sure! My chicken parmesan over linguine was a perfect recommendation.

Yelp
Customer service was great. Dessert was good. Drink was great! Food is garbage. I got the beef short ribs. It tasted like cardboard. I sent it back and chef stated that it's supposed to taste like that and did not do anything about it. Other than the food, everything was fine. But seriously, that short rib is garbage. I brought it home and gave it to my dog. Even my dog looked at it and was like what the hell is that??

Yelp
Ambiance was cool. They were ultra decorated for Xmas, with wall-to-wall Grinches. And now I know why; because by the time they get around to providing service to you, YOU WILL BE A GRINCH YOURSELF. We had a 6:00 PM reservation for two. Arrived at 5:50, and we were told they're behind. After four more check-ins and some complaining, we finally got seated at 6:40. As another ten-minutes passed without anyone acknowledging our presence, we literally had to chase down a busboy and ask him to get the manager. Five-minutes later, said manager arrived and took our order. Finally, we're back on-track ---- not! Another 15-minutes passes before the manager returned with our beers. All tolled, we didn't have food on our table until 7:25 PM. Oh yeah, the food was pretty good, but then again, maybe we were just starving after nearly an hour and a half wait. By the way, there's a skinny, Asian female server there whose demeanor should prohibit her from ever working in the service industry; ever.

Yelp
Terrible service. Food was disgusting. Huge Roaches in the bathroom. It's a shame , we were here less than a year ago celebrating my eldest son's 21st birthday and the food was amazing. This year we come for my youngest son 21st left extremely disappointed. The manager was an asshole who'd rather spend time with his infant child than do his job. We had food missing; which was cancelled and still were charged for the food. My husband tried to talk to the manager to fix the bill and he walked away. I will be filing a report with the Department of Health and will NEVER return to this place again.

Yelp
Ridley House has some pretty good food! But I wanted to get something out of the way first. The service downright sucked. The restaurant was half empty with so many vacant tables, but they made us wait a half hour to get seated? It took quite a long time before we got a waitress and our food too. But at least the food was pretty good! Everything came out fresh and cooked perfectly. I think my favorite dish was the steak. It was a pretty tender steak that went well with the eggs. There were a bunch of TVs in the bar area playing some college football. You can see a TV from anywhere in the bar. So it does seem like a good place to hangout when trying to catch a game. I can't wholeheartedly recommend the place though. Maybe the service was just having an "off day", but based on that visit, you should plan to have lots of time to spare. But you'll probably enjoy the meal in the end.

Yelp
Food was OK Ambiance was fantastic Service Sucked I loved this place when I was 17 to 24 however it went down hill after Barnabees sold out!

Yelp
The Ridley House does a great job with their social media, so after seeing their festive Halloween decorations, we decided to go for dinner on a Wednesday night. Both the dining room and bar were decorated although we chose to sit at a table in the bar area since there were Harry Potter candles hanging from the ceiling along with a lot of other spooky decor. Although we were seated and greeted right away, our server was somewhat surly and seemed unhappy to be there. Also, even though the bar wasn't busy, it took some time for our drinks to get made, one of which was a Green Goblin drink for Halloween. Overall, the food was good. Mini loaves of herby bread were hot out of the oven and came with an herb butter. I had the pecan crusted mahi mahi. The lobster cream sauce and pecan crust really added flavor to the fish which was delicious along with the smashed fingerling potatoes and grilled zucchini. My only concern was it seemed a little too rich and buttery. Since Wednesdays are burger night, my husband had the lamb burger with tzatziki which was something different. We'll probably try it again during the holidays once they change their decorations.

Katelyn E.

Yelp
We went to the pop up Grinch Holiday Bar! A 2 hour drive but well worth it for the drinks and Grinch. Incredible! The drinks were great! While there were no mocktails on the menu, I was able to tell the bartenders the flavors I liked and they made me two DELICIOUS drinks! One was cranberry and the other was pineapple juice, lime juice, and coconut cream! It's so hard to find places that cater to those of us who don't drink and this place was hands down the best! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The bartenders were also knowledgeable and friendly(always a plus). *drinks on the left are the mocktails!

Yelp
The food here was very good. The salmon was cooked very well, the mac & cheese was hit because the smoked Gouda comes through well and isn't overpowering. The crab cakes were cooked but the texture and thickness wasn't the best. We prefer a slight crispiness from the broiler but they were a bit soft. The dinner rolls were lovely. They tasted like they're baked onsite using a family recipe. I could eat them everyday. Our waitress was nice and didn't overdo it coming to the table too much. The environment was nice mostly filled with families. We'll definitely come back here again.
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Parking is smaller but easy. The brussel sprouts were the absolute best thing we had during our visit. The roast pork egg roll was a creative and fun spin on a classic. The mushroom flatbread was overpowering with too much Gorgonzola. Live music was nice and waiters were attentive. Will return!

Yelp
Horrible service rude staff. Had a reservation for 6pm got there at 5:45 and was told they were running behind. Didn't get seated until 6:45 after I displayed how upset I was. Got seated the manager took my order and didn't get my drink for another 20 minutes. When asked a different server she got annoyed and said she wasn't my server....I then asked for a manager again who took my order and fast tracked our food and he was very accommodating. The food was actually good. But again horrible customer service severely understaffed. I don't know I would ever go back.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is disgusting and overpriced. Harry Potter decorations were cool though.

Yelp
Good food great service overall fantastic there's just some other places I'd recommend like x golf garnet valley ( golfing and eating) or BBQ grill. The atmosphere was nice except bathrooms a bit dirts and could use some more decoration.

Yelp
Cozy diner/pub vibes with good food. The service was nice, though we were one of the few on the restaurant side, and they showed up just enough to not neglect us. I can't speak on how it would be at busy times. But the unique food options are pretty extraordinary. The Philly cheese steak breakfast was pretty appropriate to get visiting Philly, and the potatoes were perfect. The Oreo pancakes were ridiculous and sure to cause a blood sugar crash. Ha Everything else looked good too. Coffee was tasty but doesn't have refills. Or at least they never offered despite us finishing a long time before food and them refilling water. Decent place I'd be happy to try more of.

Yelp
Our server was great she was prompt and helpful. Too helpful talked us into bread pudding with banana and buttered rum, pretty good not too sweet or busy. The bang bang tater tot's have a good flavor the portion is extremely shareable. I had the lollipop lamb chops with fries nice option very good. Hubby had the beef brisket that was tasty and tender the sweet potato fries were delicious, I would pass on the cole slaw its not traditional or unique enough to determine what the chef was going for??? The ambiance is warm and friendly with very clean dining areas. All the food we ordered was served hot, these days that's special. There are two large dining areas one restaurant style the other a large bar with tables. In all nice place, good food and great service. Only downside the food was slightly overpriced, can't blame COVID for everything ! Would I go back? Yes but no rush!

Jackie W.

Yelp
The drinks and atmosphere are great. What I ordered for dinner was really awful. Crab cake dinner for $27.00. That's OK if your getting house made, good food These crab cakes were about 1/4 inch tall. They had no identifiable crab in them. They looked and tasted like frozen, boxed product that you'd get from a diner. Really bad and tasted awful. The manager said he'd take them off of the check but then didn't because I ate some of my salad. Really low class. I'm disappointed because I was excited to be there. Wish I could add my photo.

Yelp
Love this spot! Came here for the margarita flights!! They tasted a bit weak (typical for most places though lol) but I just ordered an extra shot to compensate. Cheesesteak egg rolls were excellent! One of the best I've ever had. Waitress was excellent 10/10. Only complaint was the chicken quesadillas...they were pretty bland. But overall I'd definitely return. Daily specials and brunch avail.

Yelp
Love it here. Made to order breakfast with the chef was a true highlight to start our days. Poolside sangria daily, nice touch! Cozy comfy rooms will keep us coming back. Fabulous location!

Ralph ..

Yelp
we have been regulars since day -. the food is excellent as is the service. special events are quite fun and there are quiet areas as well as open. this is our to go place with our out of town friends.

Tiffany K.

Yelp
Great food and great portions. Beautiful restaurant area and great service. Will definitely one back again when I visit Philly.

L C.

Yelp
This bar/restaurant is on of my all time favorites!! The bartenders and their customer service is superb, the food is on the same level. The fish tacos or the sweet chili wings never disappoint along with the cheesesteak egg rolls! If you are in the area or looking for a chill/mature spot to grab some good food and great drinks, The Ridley IS IT! In a nutshell my folks, Jess, Paul, Shawn and Cropper understands the assignments and NEVER MISS

Cam B.

Yelp
My church group ate here yesterday and the food was very good. They're now decorating in a Harry Potter theme. I liked the candles as well and Heather was very nice. I will be back.

Yelp
I occasionally go to Ridley House on Sundays for lunch. Been there twice in the last 2 months or so. Both times I was served by a female asian bartender. She was unfriendly, inattentive, and horribly rude. Not worthy of a tip. I never had a problem with any other staff members there, ever.
google avatar

Jack C.

Yelp
Dark atmosphere mid level decor. Food history more miss than hit. Been there quite a few times for meetings or meet ups and nothing on the menu ever just seemed exceptional. Service is basic at best.

Timothy Shannon S.

Yelp
We went there to see the holiday decorations, and the ambience was awesome. Food and service was good also.
google avatar

Tyneisha M.

Yelp
I had a great breakfast here with a friend last month. The service was friendly and there was no wait. Our server recommended a great beverage which we both enjoyed. The food was also very good and the portions were large. This location is very close to my home and I will definitely return.

Rebecca D.

Yelp
The food and decor of the place was absolutely amazing, I would recommend definitely ordering food from here but for pick up. The service here was AWFUL! I definitely don't recommend sitting down and eating.

Theresa T.

Yelp
The ambiance was fantastic. Don't order the breakfast burrito. Horrible! There was very little on it except mushy avocado. Wasn't able to eat it. Took it home and threw it out. The decorations were great!
google avatar

Yelp
First time eating here since it became "The Ridley House" the place looks great and is appealing I do like the set up and feel. Noticed the floors and tables were sticky when we got seated. The Service was minimal, they did check in but felt busy elsewhere while the place didn't seem busy. Drinks were delayed and came out with the appetizer, and while the egg-rolls were good, they use a cheddar cheese instead of a white cheese(to which I prefer), the steak fell out of the roll making it difficult to eat. The Birria flatbread looked appealing but had no flavor or kick to the item, shredded meat on a flatbread is the way I'd best explain. The chicken sandwich was crispy but more goo-ey on the inside. While it was cooked and not pink, it still didn't taste right to me. The plus side to the dining experience was the warm rolls and the butter, boy did they hit the spot. Fresh rolls and the herb butter were my favorite part. I will not be going back to this place as their basic food seemed under par, and there fancy foods were a bit pricey. Just don't think this is the place for me.
google avatar

Tiffany R.

Yelp
We have a very good experience, food was great and my favorite was the mimosa flight so good and presentation Was so nice def will be back
google avatar

Matt M.

Yelp
We convinced my wife's parents to try somewhere new and we decided on the ridley house. We went in and was seated quickly and received service not too long after we were seated. We each had different dishes from the chicken sandwich to chicken pasta and the crab cake as well as brisket and they were all good. It was a great experience and my father in law who is hard on new places is willing to go back.

Lady C.

Yelp
First time there and our server was nice! Food was amazing! I'm not really a fan of waffles but there chicken and waffles was delicious! Definitely will be coming back for sure!
google avatar

Joe C.

Yelp
Totally gross restaurant filthy booths tables and chairs. Salt and pepper shakers sticky and do not work. If the front of the restaurant is so dirty cannot imagine what the kitchen and the back of the house looks like will never go back place needs a complete remodel
google avatar

Retna S.

Yelp
Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly host who asked us our seating preferences. On the right is the bar area with a lot of tv to watch sports, it's a little bit loud. On the left is the main dining area, which we decided to go. It's spacious enough for social distancing, against the wall are booth seatings. There is a big tv on the wall and several are hanging. So if you are into sports you won't miss much. There's a fireplace in the middle of the room which is nicely decorated to give a homey feel. Our waiter was excellent. Our orders came fast and correct. He was very attentive to check out how we were. Alligator chili was one of the specials. It was served in an angled white bowl to give a gourmet touch. The alligator was fried in batter in bite sizes. The breading was light and not greasy. The texture and taste is similar to a white fish but without any fishy smell or taste. It's topped with corn chips. Beautiful presentation to wake up your appetite. Pretzel is huge. Super soft and warm with mustard and cheese dipping on the side. There's no granules of salt on top so that it's not salty. It has enough amount of melted cheese instead for a nice presentation and addition flavor. Highly recommended. House salad is fresh, dressing has perfect acidity and flavor. My favorite part of the salad is the croutons. They are so fresh. Very crunchy and light but not hard at all that will hurt your gum. I had salmon added to my salad. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Overall everything has perfect portions, we enjoyed the food and service.

Yelp
This place is definitely family oriented and a great place for date night as well. The food's good! I love the buffalo chicken breast! So good. The service didn't disappoint at all. Food came out nice and hot also great presentation as well. I love when my meal looks as good as it tastes! Check um out you won't regret it.

Yelp
We went today for brunch. The mimosa flight was beautiful and delicious. The food was excellent. We tried all different foods. Creamed chipped beef on toast, eggs with bacon, bananas foster French toast, and sausage gravy and biscuit with eggs. All delicious and the portions were huge. The breakfast potatoes were delicious and full of flavor. We also had an espresso martini which was delicious. The only con - not really a con- was the complimentary cinnamon buns- they were good but they would have been so much better if they were warm. Can't wait to go back and try other options.

A G.

Yelp
Looking for a spin of Fridays, Applebees's or the like? This place can certainly be in your rotation. Nice choice for general fare. Taste and price are both reasonable.

Aliyah R.

Yelp
I spoke with the most rude, disrespectful, racist manager that I have ever encountered in my life(Jake). I called in reference to the "limited menu" and I was explaining that 3 of the 17 people that we've reserved for were kids and why was the limited menu even necessary if that was the case. Jake proceeded to tell me that "if I didn't like it, I could dine elsewhere". I then asked him how was is that the pricing was different on both menus for the same items, Jake wouldn't even allow me to finish my sentence because he was too busy trying to get his point across and wanted to talk over me. I asked him was he going to allow me to speak and his response to me was "No I will not", "At this time you can find somewhere else to dine". I hung up because I was furious. I called back to speak with someone else to give me corporate info the woman I spoke with put me on hold and Jake miraculously popped up again telling me "there's no corporate number and if I have any questions I could email". Jake was the most ignorant, disgusting, rude person I have ever spoke with that's a member of "management". If you guys are okay with someone talking to patrons like that on any day, you need to reevaluate who you're hiring in your interview processes. I believe I was discriminated against because of my name in which Jake knew I was African American. It's a shame that he rather turn down a family of 17 for his own ego and abuse of power. Too bad we WILL NEVER patronize this business in life!
google avatar

Theresa T.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was a little lacking. Although it was early evening when we arrived - maybe 8-10 ppl at the bar - we sat for 10 mins waiting for a drink. There were 2 bartenders and one was busy on their cell phone while we sat there without drinks. Overall the food was good, and we liked the vibe but not sure we'd go here again.
google avatar

Mary O.

Yelp
They got one star for the mimosa flight for flavor (can't really mess up a mimosa), and the presentation of the drinks. The food: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT! I had the Jameson wing and fries and everything was so dry, even the sauce. My husband ordered the steak and eggs (medium, well) and cheese eggs. Steak was well done and the "cheese eggs" just had a slice of cheese melted on the eggs. Our glasses of water had particles floating all around, the booth seats were taped! Just overall a bad vibe and not a good spot. I would not recommend.
google avatar

Irene L.

Yelp
The atmosphere and ambiance were beautiful. The service was great. Bartenders were amazing, very attentive and knew how to make everything we asked for. The food was delicious. We had the Buffalo wings and that sauce popped! However the three stars came in for the music. The Dj that was there sounds like someone learning how to dj. On a Saturday night the music should have been more up beat. The flow of the music didn't didn't feel like I was hanging at the bar. It was more of walking the mall mix.

charles d.

Yelp
Great smoked prime rib on Sundays only. 25 dollars is a great price too. They serve you hot bread unfortunately no free refills on it. Service good. No complaints although no business both Sunday afternoons we went for prime rib specials. Odd. Because all food was spectacular. Everyone's food! They should be packed. I don't understand. Lone server we had first time then bar tender was server second time. I believe it's because their menu is small. We eat out a lot and people are particular. They need choices. Not much choice on their menu. Needs to have more options. 5 stars if free refills on bread. Also, 5 stars if the prime rib wasn't smoked. I mean it's delicious but I don't care for smoked. Prime rib is better without smoked flavor. Killed the flavor of the meat but again it was delicious and tender but I would venture to say most people don't prefer smoked over non smoked rib. I could be wrong. But I remember the awesome prime rib at the Springfield inn from years ago! A dinosaur of a restaurant long gone and severely missed

Patrick L.

Yelp
the food was very good and came out fast!!! it was a very festive environment and our server was quiet but on our table prebussing and refilling waters frequently. def recommend!!
